So it looks like you need to right click the windshield after cleaning it, rather than left clicking the windshield. So far only 1 bug then.

This game is full of PROGRESSION STOPPING BUGS. For example, if you choose the wrong blast detonation sites, you can no longer progress in the game and must reload an old save file or download another one. The second game breaking bug I found was after the windshield of the truck is cleaned, Hannek is supposed to give you the option of selecting Sugarpuff to get the keys, but this never happens, and I had to lose progress and load yet another save file. I'm DONE with these bugs!

This game started out great. I loved the artwork, the voice-acting was good, but some of the music didn't seem to fit in certain sections. No problem, I turned the music down to a low level. I was having fun, but immediately ran into issues with the dialogue. Many words that were translated were either incorrect or used incorrectly. There are items in the game, which look like Washers, which the game calls Muffs, for example. There are colored glass windows in the game which they label Mosaic Tables. These are just a couple of examples. There is even the inclusion of words that don't exist in the English language; Bi-Naural.
Here is an example of a sentence used in the game, which is a hint for a puzzle, that makes no sense -- "As long as the mauve muff has to stay attached to the cubical body, there will never be an avial power inverter with a mauve muff." This game is rife with bad grammar, misuse of words, nonsensical sentences. There are many continuity problems in this game as well. The ending of the game, without adding spoilers, doesn't make any sense. The voice acting, mostly, was very good, but, even then, there were issues. When a subtitle read, "Pfft", rather than make the exclamation sound that is intended, the voice-actor tried to pronounce it like a word; "Puh-fff-tuh."
I had issues with some puzzles not triggering an the intended event once I performed a certain action. This caused me to think I was missing something, so I did a lot of backtracking to figure out what I'd missed. After exhausting all my options, I came back and performed the same action a few times, and the event triggered. There were issues with achievements not popping also. I had to go to previous game saves and redo actions to get the achievements involved. There is one achievement called Drogglejug which is buggy, and requires you go to the developers website, download and install a save-game file, in order to complete this achievement. This achievement is not easy to get, and, from what I read, is an inside joke from another game that Daedalic made, which I haven't played. There are also several infuriating psuedo-puzzles in the game, which you'll waste your time solving, only to find that it was nothing but a red herring, designed to extend the game-play. I spent a good amount of time on one of these "puzzles", which had a couple achievements attached to it, only to realize it did nothing to advance the game.
Given the professional reviews of this game(on the store page), I wonder how long these professionals even spent playing the game. There are so many problems with this game, I could never recommend it. It is a shame too, because the game has the atmosphere of a good Point & Click game. I only paid $0.99U.S., and I bought it in a bundle. I'm hoping the sequels to this game aren't as bad. I really wish companies like this would hire a good proofreader/translator, who is fluent in both the orignal language and the language being translated to. Lastly, this game is fairly short; less than 22hours, and that's not all play time; the game would be running while I'm eating, doing other things around the house, etc. I would say I might have gotten 12-15hours of play, and that is being generous. I'm hoping in the future Daedalic will learn from their mistakes, because they do have potential, and the game wasn't all bad; they got many things right, in my opinion.

The main character gets better. It leaves me intrigued to see where future games go.
Just an infuriating experience. The writing is meh, and the main character is annoying, which would be fine if this wasn't a genre where the main character is CONSTANTLY TALKING. The puzzle design is also ass.
This is a good game in narrative and style, however, the game makers should have thought before adding in so many little details that it makes the game an annoying pain to play. Why am I having to go to five different locations fifteen times for one mission or object? If someone needs the walkthrough for 85% of the game, it's not a game.
The early stages of the game are fun enough, but as the game progresses, the goals get less clear and the puzzles get more obtuse. The player is forced into questionable plot choices late in the game that may not sit well. At the current time, there are game crippling bugs. I personally encountered a bug that made a puzzle unsolvable; I had no choice but to restart the game. Later, I encountered bug that put a puzzle into an inconsistent state that made it frustratingly more difficult to solve than intended.

I ran into a bug, apparently this bug is known by the developers but they don't want to fix it because the game is so old and it's not "feasible" to keep fixing it up. Maybe don't ask 10 euros for the game then? I feel scammed.
The voices cut out half way through making it seem really quiet and vacant.
The puzzels often made no sense at all and direction also misleading to the point of a guide being a necessity ruining the enjoyment of the game.
Fun, funny, and a decent story and gameplay
This has a bug which has been known for 4 years and is not fixed and stops play. Not an unusual case either. Poor to leave a broken game to be paid for,
It's definetly the worst pne out of the 4 Deponia games, but it is still a good game
Mixed feelings on this one so far, but the comedy is mostly landing. The German dub is vastly superior to the English, however in terms of delivery.
That said, the main mixed feelings are coming from Lotti coming across as a bit of a Caricature, to put it lightly. That said, The game is from 2012, so the fact that her gender is validated at all is a win in that context. Doesn't mean that design aged well, but, like I said, mixed feelings.
That aside, classic point and click goodness with a protagonist I love to hate.

Years ago, I finished a pirated version of this game. Now, I’ve bought it to show my respect and support for the developers.
Point-and-click games aren’t the most popular genre, so there isn’t a huge selection to choose from. However, this game stands out as one of the best I’ve ever played, along with Tales of Monkey Island.
I’m not sure if I’ll manage to complete the whole series this time, but I’m definitely enjoying it. The art, the dialogue, the interactions - it’s all fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the genre.

Old but still good point-and-click adventure game, a classic example of the genre. Its clever puzzles and quirky humor make it a must-play for fans of adventure gaming!
i ended up binging through the whole game as of recently and i ADORE it. this was my first point and click game and i had a fantastic experience playing throughout Deponia. i immediately fell in love with this game back in 2016 due to the appearance of the protagonist, the art direction and overall vibes of the story and then recently rediscovered it.
Deponia is an extremely unique adventure game and allows you to think outside of the box with its puzzles. people may have their opinions with it, but i personally really like thinking! the narrative of the game is incredibly well thought out and charming, feeling lighthearted and silly but also knowing when to be serious and emotionally driven when it wants to be. the art direction for this game is WONDERFUL, and really reminds me of my favorite time era and aesthetics in media. the character designs, environments and soundtrack are perfectly crafted for this game.
allow me to introduce a controversial opinion, but i LOVE Rufus as a character. i think he is a unique character with a personality that sticks out compared to most protagonists. it feels very refreshing seeing a dude who differs to the typical trope of "overly outgoing, innocent and goody two-shoes" in one. he feels like a really unique take on a bastard anti-hero. he's meant to be the worst in everyone else's eyes, yet you can't help but see that charm in him. his actions and gestures throughout the story are quick to pick up on and i couldn't help but really enjoy seeing how his chaotic views on everything around him unfolds. right at the end, it was really impact seeing how he has a slight in his desires of wanting to leave Deponia to instead end up help saving it because other people see it as their home. he aspires for something new, but ultimately falls back to help those who he remembers that want to keep their home. i truly love this guy.
this was an incredibly fun game and i haven't had this much fun with a game in a really long time. i highly recommend you check out Deponia! onward to the rest of the franchise. HUZZAH, HE'S OFF NOW GOODBYE! <3
Good point & click-adventure with great characters, art style and a lot of humor. I've managed to get through it relatively well, but some of the puzzles require crazy / hilarious "out of the box" thinking. I had to look up a guide maybe 2-3 times throughout the whole game, which is a reasonable ratio. Looking up the solution most of the time left me with a "I should have thought of that" feeling and wasn't particularly frustrating.
There are some bugs, I got into a game breaking situation once and had to reload a save, where I lost more than 1 hour of progress. Make sure to save regularly, especially before starting the puzzle sections!
It's not quite Monkey Island, but still one of the funnier point-and-click adventures I've played. I'm not a huge fan of how much of a manic pixie dream girl Goal is (even down to her name), and Rufus isn't quite endearing enough to overcome how much of a jerk he is (that improves in sequels), but it was still pretty fun.
Art design is very good, and dialogs are a gem on itself,
But to progress on the story, you have to collect things from many places, and most of the time it's not intuitive what to do next; it's really hard to make progress without a guide

After finishing Edna & Harvey, I decided to check out other games from Daedalic Entertainment. And now I’ve finally completed Deponia.
What I liked: The game is full of bright colors and has a charming cartoon-like art style that creates a unique atmosphere. The gameplay is simple (I mean the controls, not the tasks), and the story is interesting, fully unfolding only at the end.
What gave me mixed feelings: I enjoy games where the main character is likable or, at least, grows morally throughout the story. In Deponia, this didn’t happen. Instead, the main character remained selfish and was more annoying than sympathetic. I kept wanting to slap him throughout the game, which left an unpleasant aftertaste.
What I didn’t like: Some tasks felt too strange and illogical for me. Without a guide, I wouldn’t have figured out how to solve some of them.
I recommend the game, but only on sale or as part of a bundle. Now I’ll try the second part!

Після проходження Edna & Harvey вирішила звернути увагу на інші ігри від Daedalic Entertainment. І ось нарешті завершила проходження Deponia
Що сподобалось: Гра радує яскравими кольорами та мультиплікаційною мальовкою, що створює особливу атмосферу. Геймплей досить простий (йдеться саме про управління, а не про завдання), а сюжет тримає зацікавленість, повністю розкриваючись лише в фіналі.
Що залишило змішані почуття: Мені подобаються ігри, де головний герой викликає симпатію або, принаймні, проходить моральний розвиток протягом сюжету. У Deponia цього не сталося. Навпаки, головний персонаж залишився егоїстичним і викликав скоріше роздратування, ніж співчуття. Весь час хотілося дати йому ляпаса. Це залишило неприємний післясмак.
Що не сподобалось: Деякі завдання були, на мій смак, занадто дивними й нелогічними. Без підказок я б ніколи не здогадалась, як їх виконати.
Гру рекомендую, але лише на знижках або в комплектах. Піду спробую другу частину!
Although this is a good and funny game it's full of bugs that make it uplayable. There are several places where you just stuck because of a bug, had to load a savegame and get lucky not to stuck again

One of the only games which captures the true spirit of 1990s point and click adventure.
Deponia is a wild ride that brings back the classic point-and-click chaos, with Rufus at the heart of it. He’s arrogant, delusional, and somehow lovable despite being a total mess. The game’s humor really works if you’re into the absurd, and the puzzles are equal parts fun and frustrating (seriously, that coffee puzzle). The art and world-building are top-tier, though some of the humor feels a bit dated. If you’re a fan of *Monkey Island*-style games, you’ll have a blast—just be ready for Rufus’ questionable antics along the way.
Save your money. This game is not for sale. This game is "for lease" only. Hence, you don't own it and never will.
This. This right here is the embodiment of Daedalic Entertainment. The only thing we're still missing is a full crossover between Rufus and Guybrush.
The game is decent but never great.
* The art-work is great and it often feels like one of the classic-era point-and-clicks.
* The jokes are repetitive and the main character is just not likeable.
* There are bugs. I did not run into them so far, but every time you're stuck you start wondering if you missed something or the game is just in a broken state. The obscurity of some of the solutions does not help.
But what really broke it for me was being stuck on a puzzle for a long time, only to find out it was a red herring. They could have just disabled the puzzle once the joke was over, but no. It made me break my no-walkthrough rule.
I will finish it in anger, probably won't start the sequel.
A proper icon of point&click games in etire world, everyone should buy and play this wonderful game, totally worth it, so much fun in playing this game! 10/10

I dont understand why the game is being sold with known major glitches that require save game patches. Apart from that it was a fun game but I couldn't finish it because of the issues.

Fun chaotic game, if you like point and click games. Reminds me a bit of monkey island, but sometimes the puzzles seem to be more chaotic and hard to follow. It might be me, but some steps where not logical or understandable. Still a fun one time play through.
21 hours to beat without any hints or cheating. Not an easy game, but very fun with great dialog.
