Has an appreciable level of jank. Reminds me of playing games as a kid. The story is totally unrelated to Part 1. It's kind of annoying when they just throw waves upon waves of enemies at you.
Short, but sweet. Simple, but decadent. Watchmen: The End Is Nigh Part 2 is a wonderful short experience worth it's price, maybe more. They simply don't make them like these anymore. This is a game that a fan of DC, or the Arkham series must experience once in their life.
I got thrown through a window for this.
Basically the same game as the first chapter with the same issues, they even reused "running away" boss thing... And these 2 episodes have basically nothing in common except main characters. Like some different comic issues. Need to say that the PVP could be fun for some time, but simple fighting system leaves no room for skill improvement, meaning it gets boring pretty fast. And for already boring game its a death sentence. Even revealing outfits of girl-enemies dont help. Pitty...
batman arkham if it suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked
the gimps having belly jiggle physics was amusing at least
Just no. Part 1 I can recommend on discount, but this is just a waste of your time.
not bad
Great
its the same thing as part one ,
This shi is hot azz from the basic ahh combat from the same finishers and also the trash voice acting its terrible i get its an older game i played when i was younger but this dose not hold up, its walk here beat up guys walk around a corner more guys that look the same no depth and there is need to split up to cover more ground if we just gonna meet up 2 seconds later. this game makes no sense and don't get me started on the ''puzzles" if you can even call them that
The end was nigh
And now part 2... Ugh... Seriously. The first part was decent enough, and the first two chapters of part 2 were also okayish, but damn, that third chapter is one of the most annoying, bloated, and boring sections I have ever played in a game.
SERIOUSLY, someone playtested this and greenlit it? It's the same fucking enemies in the same fucking level for almost 2 hours! Besides Rorschach acting like a fucking incel lunatic in it just makes it all way worse.
Also, for some reason, this is NOT a sequel to the first part, which ended on a cliffhanger (????????). Are you serious? Is this a joke?
STAY AWAY. If you really want to play it, just play part 1 and forget part 2 exists.
Man... I believe, i have played watchmen many years ago. I do not remember it vividly. However, nothing will make me forget his mask. Early 2000s, pretty much all used laptops or PCs used to come with pre-installed games. These games varied, but mostly were the same, including; chess, domino, card games, ones about insects, feeding fish and so on. If my memory does not fail me, i was young at that time, this games was one of the hidden gems there. Never finished it or understood how it was played and game up on it. a few years ago, by a mere accident, i came across it on steam. When i saw the mask, all the memories flashed my mind and thought, damn... is this really that game? Opened the page and yes, it was that game! I was hesitant from the beginning, since the game is so old, i thought my laptop would not be able to run it on windows 10, but with the help of steam, everything worked.
Now about the game. Graphically it does not stand out, since it came out nearly 17 years ago, but still is one of the greatest. It does not look pixelated, hence it is playable. People do complain a lot about the game being monotonous and dull, which is true. However, as the story progressed, i was more and more invested into it. After killing the hordes of enemies, Night owl and Rorschach would talk for a little bit. It was my incentive to keep going. They discussed many social issues briefly. Talked about how corrupt and disjointed the whole world has become. Despite the enemies looking exactly the same and obese ones taking a sh*t ton of hits to kill, those dialogues were worth it. Whole game is simple, along with gameplay. you smash the M1 on your mouse and thats about it. Objectives are to open gates or doors. I personally did not have any issues nor did i experience the "extreme dullness". People also complain about the music, which is also true to be boring, but the game is hardly 2-3 hours long, you barely notice it. Humor is on point, they joke about many things openly. Nowadays, we cant even think about such things, let alone talk about them in a video-game or joke. I really enjoyed the openness of it.
One huge issue, FPS. I do not know why, but despite having 3050ti, i was getting 30 frames per second or even less. Still got through it tho.
Overall, If you have played the game in your childhood, have nostalgia, or you simply love watchmen in general, i highly recommend it. Despite having many people complaining about it and how dull the game can feel, give it a try. it is cheap and short. you will not regret it.

Story ( * SPOILERS * )
The story mainly revolves around two main characters Rorschach and The Night Owl. They are trying to save a girl, who was kidnapped by a group of people, who push prostitution in the city. This information is given to Rorschach by a disk. He then goes to show it to the Night Owl, he recognizes one big sign in the video and says "i know this place". After that, they both embark on a journey to find the girl. They reach the place, which was in the video, where the girl was kept hostage, though she was not there. We did a little investigation and got to know where she actually was. After going outside the building and observing the city, it was pretty horrible. We soon got to the main building, the "wh*re house". One of the characters there, a female, was a PIP? i guess? She recruits those Wh*res. After searching her places, we finally stumbled upon the girl we were looking for. She is underage, specifically 17. She was being sexually assaulted and and exploited, but she did not know that, since she was getting paid and said "im earn more money than my dad in his dead-end job". When we tried to get her out of the room and the place in general, the PIP came. The girl went straight in PIP's arms and said "dont let them take me away" so she did not. We chased after the PIP (The Twilight Lady). Whilst in chase, Night Owl was saying things like "i think, we should leave and let them be" While on the other hand, Rorschach was saying that the girl is actually brainwashed into thinking that she is doing a good thing and we should bring her back. Eventually, we catch up to her, the Twilight Lady (pip) and beat her up. Although, once push came to shove, Night Owl said to Rorschach not to kill her (He was in a relationship with Twilight Lady, i believe. She was an ex). I had to fight him to then kill her, which i did. Hence, there are two different endings. One, the pip dies. Second, She does not. I still have no idea where the girl went tho.

The End is Nigh
Fun Short Game, The levels are brighter and vibrant compared to part 1, combos are nice, there are 2 different ending based on the character selected, both Rorschach and Night Owl has different combos and fighting style, overall this game is fun to play
good game :)
Never compromise!! Wtf was that last chapter though, so dull and repetitive :D
(This is a copy of my review of Watchmen The End Is Nigh Part 1 because it's the same game split in 2 parts)
I couldn't find what the story behind this game was but the fact that some aspects of it are made really well makes me think that the devs were planning on making an actual game but at some point something went wrong so now it is what it is.
The aspects I'm referring to are:
+ Graphics and style, they look very good for a 2009 game.
+ Sound, music and voice acting. +1 for one-liners the goons mock the heroes with.
+ Fighting mechanics are decent. Of course, fighting isn't as spectacular as in Batman Arkham Asylum, another Warner Bros game made in the same year, but it's fun: it's violent, bloody and most of the fatalities look very cool.
However, despite having all those things, all we got was a 6-hour long "game" split in 2 parts where there's nothing but arenas with enemies spawning every 10 metres. I tend to believe that this could have been a good game. Maybe not as good as Batman Arkham, but definitely not something that would sink into oblivion.
Also, how many games can you name off the top of your head where one can educate big-titted sexy latex hoes on female power by beating the sh*t out of them as well as clumsy fatsos also wearing latex suits whose mumbling you can barely understand because they have gags in their mouths? And how about beating the sh*t out of your partner, Nite Owl, who s*mped over a hoe who is the main antagonist and mete out justice by eliminating her because Rorschach "never compromises"? That is so cool, something that modern devs would be afraid to add to their games.
watchmen is a cool game i read a comic i see movie tv series and animated movies 2 part 2024
Peak game, if you get it for $1 or like Watchmen.
8/10
kinda disappointing as its the same price of the first game just with only three chapters, but its hella fun nether the less. also the rorschach vs nite owl right gamemode is really cool, solid 8.7/10
A real disappointment because the characters of Nite Owl and Rorschach were very beloved from the novel and movie and one of the few highlights was them being voiced by the actors. Roughly five hours to complete the game as both means the game is (thankfully) very short. Perhaps the co-op play would be fine but I didn't have a comrade to test that. Running thru the same environments over and over fighting basically the same small and fast or fat and slow enemies is boring and you just want get it over with. Looking for cards or batteries was not a big thrill, since the full skill tree was given at the beginning. If you get it for two bucks it's maybe worth it, but there is still a bit of time you're not getting back. The Arkham games for example are infinitely better for not much more money, so there's not much point in this.
much to short and not very good
This has got to be the worst game I have ever played.
I just picked up "Watchmen: The End Is Nigh Part 2" during the November 2024 sale, and I'm glad I did. If you're a fan of intense action and raw fight mechanics, I highly recommend this game. I've played up to Chapter Two, and I really like how the combat feels—it reminds me of "Manhunt," where you can get in there and fight like your life depends on it. The partnership between Rorschach and Nite Owl is pretty cool, and the game delivers some real adrenaline-fueled moments. It's gritty, immersive, and perfect for action fans who enjoy high-stakes brawling. Plus, the storyline adds another layer to the experience. GG!
NEVER COMPROMISE!
Even Though, Both games were made in 2009. If you like Watchmen, its a prequel to the movies, and it still holds up today, looks good. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of Beat-Em-ups.
It's a good beat 'em up but shorter compared to the already short Part 1. Now the escenarios are a little bit more colorful and with sections inside really big buildings. There are two endings and the final boss can be a bit challenging while still being fun.
7/10
Only play for Xbox 360 memories. Game is dull besides nostalgia.
Grief. 2.9 hours and I've finished the game - as Rorschach anyway.
This is actually better than Part 1. The graphics aren't stupidly dark so you can generally see what you are doing. The enemy are generally tougher and the final section is a quartet of very tough fights. Again the characterisation is strong, and this episode really brings out the differences between Nite Owl and Rorschach. Pressing left button to face your destination is a great quality of life improvement.
But - it's still a series of fights connected by even briefer narrative comics. There are several points in the game where the legality and morality of your arm breaking and skull cracking become questionable.
The problem is - along with the limited gameplay - that in 2024 a game you can finish in under three hours - and I needed multiple attempts on the final battles - is extremely short. It would even be underweight as DLC.
It's not a disaster. But Batman Arkham Asylum was released the same year and is an infinitely better game.
Again Watchmen superfans and fans of (very) old school brawlers might enjoy this game but in 2024 there's too many much better games available cheaply to recommend this game.
S.x.
just as good as the first.
Rorschach is the goat.
Never Compromise.
Beating women for being sex-crazed, TAME THE PUSSY
hidden gem
game was eh but it was probably a solid introduction
Muh childhood Part 2
My review of Watchman: The End is Nigh Part 1 can be used for Part 2.
"A low quality game in every aspects.
This very short game feels like a DLC of some other game. At the start you are catapulted in a random investigation of this 2 super heroes, without any presentation of the 2 protagonists nor of the enemies, nor of the environment you will be playing in.
Audio is terrible, the graphics is outdated. The gameplay is very basic. This is a minimalistic beat'them'up. There are some combos you acquire over time and the same 3 types of enemies. It's important to say that this game is shallow, empty, repetitive. Most of the times it's fairly easy until the last boss who increases the difficulty a bit. You punch and kick large groups of enemies, then you have some platforming and running to do, and again you punch and kick enemies. There are combos but in this game enemies can hit you and stun you while you do combos, and since you are always surrounded by enemies the only obvious tactic is to always use block and counterattack until you have thinned the hordes, so you can then start using offensive moves and combos.
Usually in beat'them'ups you can use the environment, like throwing chairs, throwing trash cans, using pipes, or similar interactive elements, but not in this game.
The camera movement is not done well.
It's difficult to present how empty this game is. It's obviously made only for fans of DC Comics and fans of the movie Watchman, but I'm sure even for them this is too short and void of any real quality."
Part 2 is even shorter then Part 1. The audio and graphics are 20% better. The story and ending is even worse. A shallow experience.
"This place, cesspool masquerading as shangri-la for weak-minded depraved, would rake flight of biblical proportions to cleanse its stench"
You get to beat up fat degenerates dressed up as gimps, invade Epstein island, catch a senator with a minor and shoot down the porn industry.
Unfortunately Nite Owl is a cuck, but Rorschach more than makes up for it.
game play loop is repetitive buts its about 2 hours long so it doesnt really matter.
rorschach ile fuhus operasyonu yapıyorsunuz
10/10
If you are having controller issues,
Then just go to settings-controller and from there, set Player 1 to "XBOX 360 CONTROLLER 1" and for Player 2 "XBOX 360 CONTROLLER 2", if you play co-op with a friend, which I recommend.
Look I have deep nostalgia for the PS3/360 era of gaming and I try to collect every game from back then. Watchmen is a game I never expected to play again in my life, until I saw it for 3 euros on Steam. I'm not even sure when they added the game, since I though it was delisted. Counting Part 1, it's a 3-4hr game and I had a lot of fun playing it with a partner. The levels are aesthetically pleasing and the combat has tons of animations to keep things interesting. Some reviews mention that the game is repetitive, which it is, but it also would be a problem if the game was 8, 10, or 20hrs, not 3. Come on, people, stop bitching for everything.
Watchmen (the graphic novel) is masterpiece and it doesn't work the same outside of that medium, but at the very least, the game tries to add more color to the screen than the movie ever did, from which this game is the direct adaptation.
Just buy it on sale, it's fun, I promise.
This one feels shorter than Watchmen: The End is Nigh, but is still a fun beat'em up. If you enjoyed the first game, this game is worth a shot. I enjoyed the two endings you can get in this one.
Enjoyable
Rorschach probably one of the best DC characters to be made and this game focuses on beating up defenseless women, what more do you need. Batman is about as an effective hero as taking vitamin c to cure your aids to the point that even nite owl is better
its very fun not as many missions as the first one but still good. Cant belive games came out in 2009 they look amazing for the time 7/10. plus you can beat it before the 2 hour mark so you can refund it. It is basically free.
7/10
Very short and funny. If you want to play good beat'em'up with few enemies that's a great game :)
Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part 2
pros:
//fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on
//good amount of action and special effects
cons:
//a lot of difficult battles battles
//a lot of overpowered enemies
//some enemies have unfair attacks
//health recovery is slow
//rage/charge ability is slow
//losing battles are a grindfest (going back to checkpoints will respawn a lot of enemies)
//a lot of times too many enemies spawn in battle
//a lot of times too many enemies crowd making it difficult to evade
//a lot of repetitive gameplay
//good game
Personal Suggested Purchase Price: $0.99 Or Less During Sale
wonderful but not as wonderful as part 1
very basic gameplay but the violence is satisfying
Uh boy, this game has been on my wishlist for years and now it's finally is on sale. Don't get me wrong, it is worth the full 5 bucks, but I already own the game on Xbox 360.
Surprisingly enough it runs without problems, BUT I can't really make it work with either the Xbox 360 controller or the Xbox One controller, that also kinda makes it unplayable on the Steam Deck. The local coop also is no option that way.
Anyway, the game is still solid in single player. It's kind of like a janky and really unpolished Batman Arkham game, where you either play as lame Batman (Nite Owl) or the character we only really care about and want to play, Rorschach. And it's fun to beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of criminals and gimps.
Time to finish: ~2 hours with each character
NO COMPROMISE!!! 6/10
The game is short yet boring as fuck, which makes me feel a lot longer while playing. However, it do has a good ending.
This is just a continuation of the first game, more varied combat to a degree, but still just a pretty empty experience.
