It's not as bad as everyone says. I've played this game on PS4, PS5, Xbox, and now PC. There are some bugs at times, but not major bugs that have ever broken my game. The story is not as great as the other games in the Saints Row Franchise, but it could be a lot worse. The game has some amazing humor at times, some of the humor might be the kind I'd laugh at when I was a teenager, but some of it still makes me laugh. The game does a fantastic job of not using sex as it's main drive of humor, instead uses it as a secondary humor that is still funny. I suggest this game if you're just very bored and needing a funny time.

played this for 5000 hours on xbox 360 and now 101 for pc and I have to say, this game feels like you sniffed crack and became the president for no reason :p

Back in 2013 I thought it's a horrible really-not-a-dlc to my beloved sr3, but you know what, now in 2024 I found it kinda fun? Plus some nostalgic bs in mind. I don't have a perma-crashes while solo, but since we mostly played coop.. so yeah.
Anyway, I got some good old vibes from replayn' it.

A cheap thrill when you're really bored. But not the best Saints Row game; imo it strayed too far from being a true Saints Row video game true Saints Row fans remembered. It feels more like a copycat of the video games Crackdown or Prototype, but with awful controls. Even being marked down still feels like I got ripped off, and really it's fucked up of Deep Silver/Volition to insult old fans who loved Still Water in the Saints Row series. I absolutely HATE The way the protagonist is acting like he's disgusted for seeing Still Water, this is just insulting to old-time fans of the Saints Row series.

So if you played Saints Row 3, now imagine the same thing in Saints Row 4, only now it's The Matrix and you're Neo. Which means, yes you have to drive cool cars to get around, but eventually you outgrow your need for them, because you can jump from rooftop to rooftop. And then you can fly. Lots of guns, lots of vehicles, lots of ways to get money. Highly recommend. The only problem is there's nowhere to go after this, because you've basically become Superman.

Saints Row IV is like a fever dream mixed with an alien invasion, topped with superpowers, and sprinkled with pure nonsense. Problem is, auto-save don't work properly and the game crashes often so I need to save every step of the game.
Every time I forget to save, I exit the game or it crashes.
I did many missions 2 or 3 times already and they are repetitive already without me doing them several times.

played the game for 5 min.... i got a pop up 6 times (pausing the game) telling me to join ubisoft or some crap... had enough.. uninstalled

back there in ps3 times this game was ok. now it's unplayable. buggy as hell. my pc: dell g 16, 16 ram, 8 vram. no probs with modern titles like diablo4. HUUUUUge disappointment

I played this game about a decade ago for the first time, then played it again years after, and then played it again at 2024. It is fun, relaxing and funny. This game makes you hilariously feel powerful. The things that only really bothered or annoyed me are the crashes.

SR:IV is a good Xbox 360 game, however on PC it's always been temperamental. On PC (Linux anyhow) it will reach the menu but not an actual playable game. I'd only recommend if you can figure out how to get it running better., but as it stands, no play, no recommendation. Tried the legacy version and the one with Epic services invited in.

You know what, I like Saints Row 3 and 4. Perfect? No, but whacky and fun. Also has a really cool character customizer that I miss in other games every time.

Great game. I have come back and replayed many times. There is something about this series that makes it so much fun to play, at least the first 4.

Unless i'm misremembering, I recall this game being sh*t on after its initial release back in 2013. But in my opinion, it was without a doubt far better than SR3 (SR2 is still the GOAT). Memorable moments, fun game play, the super powers are always great and so is Keith David. Unlike the butchering of the SR2 and SR3 Remastered ports on PC, SR4 Re-Elected contrasts greatly.

Pure fun. Is it as good as SR2 for most fans? No. But it's honestly my favorite in the series. It goes off the rails with zany sci-fi nonsense like a B-movie. And not in the bad way. All your favorite characters are here, the gang violence is kinda here in the sense that you're going against Zinyak's alien forces in the simulation.

As for those fighting with endless loading screens or crashes caused by the screwed up game files related to the non-steam launcher..... GO to the BETA tab for the game in Steam and download the SR4 Legacy beta. I had infinite loading issues since the changed happened, and it immediately fixed my issues.

Used to be good. the Re-elected update ruined it and co-op. crashes literally every action i try to do.

Routinley stops & requires a reload to work. Works for a time, then quits & the game must be reloaded over & over to work. The game is awesome other than that.

The RE-Elected version of the game runs at 20fps, no matter what resolution I set it to. So I had downgrade my copy to the previous version through steam beta branch. I have Gtx 1080 and an RX 5600X.

Still an okay game, even if it went a bit far over the top, like, to infinity and beyond kinda over the top...
But whatever they did to this re-elected version, it's become unplayable if you don't know how to run it;

So after installing go to the game's properties in Steam > betas tab > beta participation in legacy mode
And whatever they added for epic games service will be removed so the game works as it did originally.

If it wasn't possible to play the original like that, this would've been a complete and utter failure, because they broke it by adding that launcher, and haven't fixed whatever it seems to break. Which is just utterly retarded.
Quite frankly if it wasn't a stupid fun game, it would deserve a downvote over abandoning the game in a broken state like that. But at least they left the previous version around so there's still a playable stable build of the game.

I condemn in the strongest possible terms the requirement of an Epic account to play and I will never play this game again because of it.
