this game was my childhood my second fps game and I loved it back then, I love it even more now especially the new update dual wielding any weapon and sprinting and new added weapons I just wish the pre-rendered cutscenes were scaled up too
One of my first childhood games that I so much adore. Filled with so many puns, "poop jokes", SERIOUS action and beautiful level design, this is a true gem <3

Но даже третья часть которую люди обсирают менее душная и я даже не буду комментировать стиль игры,на него то похуй.
Cам геймплэй это типо первые части но более разнообразный в плане врагов хоть они в основном рескины с предыдущих уровней.
Уровни стали больше но запихли еще транспорт чтобы не бегать по 10 минут в другой конец карты.
Оружия прекольные но их какого то хуя отнимают раз в 2-3 уровня а (иногда даже через 1) из за этого в основном стрелять будете из дробовика и пистолетов(которые хуевые)
Некоторые уровни это отдельный вид духоты,пример с летящей платформой котороя попадается 2 раза за игру но успеет тебя заебать быстро так как она долгая и неинтересная часть игры.
В остальном это тот же самый сэм только более мульташьный с хуевым сюжетом и сартирным юмором так же под конец хочу написать что уважительно мать ебал разраба который программировал мультпилеер игры,так как такую кривую хуйню мог сделать самый отбитый долбоеб не с клещнями а с макаронами вместо рук,котороя вылетает каждый сука уровень.

People seem to not like this episode of Serious Sam at all, but in my opinion it's a very fun game. It has a unique art style which is a little too much on the cartoony side, but it's a refreshing approach. Sound and Music are okay, nothing special. Definitely not as good as in the previous Encounters. The gameplay is still great. There are a ton of weapons and they are fun to use, there are also a TON of levels making it a very long episode with a huge variety of enemies to fight through. It has vehicle combat as well, a dual wielding mod which is crazy, so overall it's a fun game and it is worth a try. Not as serious and tactical as the previous episodes though. There are still secrets everywhere. The story is generic and the jokes are very dumb unfortunately. I was happy to see that it received an update on Steam and it looks great and runs very well on 1440p @ 240Hz/FPS now. I only encountered a crash at a very specific point which is reproducible, otherwise almost no bugs at all. So, give it a try!

Came back to this game to relive childhood memories so i dont remember much, I've only played 30 minutes of this game and it feels like im playing through a lobotomy. 10/10

You serious? Sam is back to insult Duke Nukem with his game franchise. I guess the development team stopped wanting to be serious and went straight goofy. The goofiness works to a certain degree , but alot of don't age well. There is alot of stereotypes that just more annoying or confusing like the blue tribe people or the Elvis Presley level. Each level is theme after each country and some fantasy setting for some reason. I do like the shell shading, makes the game more easy to see. They add cut scenes to this game but my and friends copy game glitch out so we never got them. We were lost in all 46 levels. Again this game has the problem with non stop enemies. New types of baddies to kill does change the pace with also vehicles. Gun glitch still get slower the longer you use them. Best weapon is still the cannon ball and parrots bombs! I was surprised that we found other players online still playing this game. They are brave souls. I would say so far this is the best one in the orginal triolgoy I have played. If you serious about Sam, just play this one , but he does not even take him self serious. So I don't know who will. 4/10

Graphics upgrade, more weapons, vehicles, intersting bosses and level designs, secrets...
Have to mention the flute music that's somehow awesomebly combined with a massacre on a screen :)

After nearly 19 years of buying the retail version and owning this on steam many moons ago, have finally finished it.
It's a great game, even after all these years and with the updates for dual wielding and even more enemies on the screen I recommend this game. Not perfect but great.

Did I forget to tell you this was my first Serious Sam game way back in 2005-2006?
Either way, I highly enjoyed (and still enjoy) this game. The combat feels like an upgrade from TFE and TSE with new additions like vehicles, hand grenades, and the Klodovik. The enemy variety in this game is insane too, and did I forget to mention the game has so many funny and hilarious moments? I know the humor may not be for everyone but I personally enjoyed it.

This game is divisive, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun at times. Be awake and pick your priority targets during battle or you will be overwhelmed.
Actually the second-best game in the entire franchise, in my opinion! It doesn't take itself very seriously, and some annoying fans find it to be bad, but I think it's a good thing, really! It's fun; everything explodes in flashy, pretty colors; the enemies look silly; the weapons look cool and shiny; the music varies from great to silly depending on the situation; and the gameplay is chaotic and engaging.
If you do play it though, skip all cutscenes after the first one; those are actually pretty bad, and you'd be doing yourself a favor. The entire story is explained in the first cutscene anyway.

This review is, naturally, my personal, highly subjective opinion. With this noted - onwards! :)
This is my first ever review on Steam. It clearly says something about the game to be reviewed!
I've played Serious Sam 2 for the first time waaaaaay back in the day and decided to complete the game properly without my computer "stuttering" to get the review done as I think this game deserves it.
First things first: my favourite Serious Sam game of the 3 I've played at the time of writing this review (TFE, TSE, 2) - the Second Encounter. Yet, AFAIK this part sparks quite a number of discussions in the community. Some people like, some people hate it. IMO, it is by no means a masterpiece, but boy you have to give this game a chance.
Yes, this game is quite different in terms of pacing, puzzles (if you can call them that), general feel, but it is well worth the time & money spent to complete it at least once. Now, down to the pros and cons, in no particular order:
PROS
- the art style is a mote of fresh air, while it kinda becomes same-ish closer to the end of the game, the magic will last right until the end of the walkthrough, which is good enough
- the sounds are lush, even though not all the music is, IMO, on point
- vehicles are fun!
- I really like the portrayal of Sam Stone here. He is very goofy and even kinda charismatic as a character. Quite refreshing after the first two games, where his image has been quite different
- different enemy types are quite interesting to interact with
- quite a number of nods towards the first two games especially the last "world", as I didn't expect to find a reference to one of the most iconic secrets in the franchise - the red phone booth!
CONS
- the weapons felt a bit same-ish. I've played normal difficulty so can't say if it is different when playing the higher ones
- new enemy types do not change your playstyle drastically, really
- some parts of the game can be quite boring as the game throws wave after wave after wave of the same enemies for you to fight
- IMO, the levels are kinda polarising. I've really liked some of them, while the others have been rather meh. Mind you - this particular point is very subjective. The most important thing is that there isn't a clear buildup/curve, I would treat every single "world" as a separate mini-story
- while you have a broad arsenal, you don't always have all the variety of weapons, unfortunately
- IMO, the humour did not age well. There are some chuckles to be had, but it depends on the player
NEUTRAL/SUBJECTIVE/THINGS TO NOTE
- the atmosphere is very different from the first two games. TSE has been... for the lack of a better word - "liminal". It has this eerie feeling of a sprawling empty ancient city filled with aliens and, for me, this feeling is not present here at all
- if you don't like the cartoony style - the graphics will, most probably, get stale very quickly
- the first two games felt more difficult on Normal. I'd say it clearly has a spike closer to the end of the game, though
In terms of rating out of 10 - I'd give Serious Sam 2 a firm 7/10. There is clearly some nostalgia on my part, so the "real" rating might've been a bit lower, keep that in mind.

Lovely game. Good pace, nice action and humor. Also love the cliché cool-guy in a way they are not taking themselves too serious (pun intended).
Reminds me of more simple times.
I've not tried the visual update MOD, but my PC runs the highest settings on 1000+ (theoretical) fps and it still looks pretty decent.
