I have a strange feeling that this game could be connected to team fortress two

Planing on playing on a laptop that was running a fake version of Windows 7. Recently installed Linux Mint on it, hoping it will run fine.

Game runs perfect on my other two computers.

bad UI. (Right-click menu during combat??)

A place to be a battle medic.
The poisonous medkit is so fun to use.

A really good game that was able to give me more emotions than tf2 at the time, I highly recommend playing this

Not very beginner friendly compared to its successor. A scout can disorient you and cause your camera to sway from right-to-left and vise-versa, a medic can poison you, a sticky-trap that you cannot even see can lessen your movement speed, and some small contraption can start shooting spikes at a fast rate of fire? From mechanics that aren't explained to sometimes the UI not displaying relevant information, TFC is a more frustrating game to engage with, often making you wonder how exactly you got fragged and by whom. I don't recommend it.

team fortress 2 but you play as angry marines instead of twinks and psychopaths

from what i have seen online, this was a blast to play back in the day. i probably would have loved this, it's alright if you can get on when there is one or two servers with a sufficiently big player count to have a match.

The first couple hours were the most unintuitive bloodbath of a game I'd experienced. No kills, I was lucky if I could see the outside of the spawn door. But after a coffee break and some time to work on my positioning and aim, I think it's a pretty enjoyable experience.
I like the fact the engineer was able to replenish armor, and I wish armor made it into TF2. It was such a fun diversity, and added a bit more to the hp of enemies. You had to actively think about it. "Do I have enough armor for this push? Is there an Engie or armor around to help? If not, how far to get to one? Will I have time" It made for extra suspenseful moments, where you had to actually think and plan.
Scout sucks, there's no sugarcoating it. Losing a double jump (which even quake had) really makes you feel a lot more vulnerable. At least even with Baby Face's Blaster, you could still double jump if you really needed to, but Scout-Gaming just isn't the same without his jumpy jukes.
Light classes are shockingly more fragile than I anticipated. Meanwhile, I unload my shotgun, point-blank, into a Heavy, and he barely even flinches. I feel like he'd have been laughing, if he could.
All in all, a fun game, and a beautiful still-living portrait of one of my more favorite game's roots. Would definitely play again.

First was confused why this came with my HL1. Played this for 7 minutes on a local server I ran on my pc, because I didn't see alive servers. And then I realized it's Team Fortress 2 but in the Half Life engine. The game is kind of dead but it looks fun.

Better or as good as tf2 tbh, I love walking out of spawn to get delete by a whole team for playing scout.

Played for 10 minutes. Accidentally TK'd somebody. Then they spammed my IP address so I uninstalled just as fast as I downloaded this gem. 10/10

The Classic is way harder to play, especially in tactical ways, but it's still fun. Game is almost dead, I think it deserves more attention.

i like this game and all but the problem i have with it is some servers i can't open and join cuz my steam validation get rejected anyone care help with this cuz idk how

This game has aged quite poorly. TFC the Balance of TFC is quite poor and the game is rather jank. Most classes aren't worth playing as they either can't do enough damage or don't fill a useful enough role to the team to make them worth playing. I found myself exclusively playing soldier as him and Heavy were really the only two most reliable ways of doing damage. Shotguns are useless, the scout has no useful weapons, I don't even know how the medic works in the game. If this game were free to play I could see the novelty of checking it out for the curiosity to see how Team Fortress evolved but as a $5 game, I just don't think it's worth it.
