Games a lil janky but i Love this banger of a classic, honestly when i hear about ready or not i can see how rainbow six seems to have influanced how that game was done. Just like that game you have to go slow check rooms and not bum rush like you think you are duke nukem. The methodical approch to each area can be nail biting.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 – A Solid Tactical Shooter Experience
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 builds upon the foundations laid by its predecessor, delivering a tactical shooter experience that is both engaging and enjoyable. Released in 2008, this sequel enhances many elements while retaining the core gameplay that made the original a success.
The storyline picks up seamlessly from the first game, placing players back in the role of a Rainbow operative tasked with thwarting a terrorist threat in Las Vegas. The narrative is compelling, featuring familiar characters and high-stakes missions that maintain tension throughout. While the story may not be groundbreaking, it effectively serves as a backdrop for the intense action.
Gameplay is a key highlight of Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The tactical mechanics are well-executed, allowing players to plan their approach to missions. The cover system is improved, making movement through environments more fluid. The AI, while generally competent, can sometimes feel predictable, but this does not significantly detract from the overall experience. Players can still enjoy a mix of stealth and action, adapting their strategies to various situations.
Level design remains strong, featuring a variety of environments that capture the essence of Las Vegas. The missions are diverse, providing opportunities for both close-quarters combat and more strategic engagements. While some missions may feel a bit repetitive, the overall variety keeps gameplay fresh.
One of the notable additions in this sequel is the expanded customization options for characters and weapons. Players can personalize their operatives and loadouts, allowing for a tailored experience that enhances immersion. The cooperative gameplay mode is also a welcome feature, allowing friends to team up for missions, which adds a fun social element to the game.
Visually, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 holds up well, with detailed graphics and a solid atmosphere. The sound design complements the action, with realistic gunfire and environmental sounds that enhance immersion.
In summary, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a solid sequel that offers an enjoyable tactical shooter experience. While it may not completely surpass its predecessor, it successfully builds on its strengths with improved mechanics and expanded customization options. Fans of tactical shooters will find plenty to enjoy, making it a worthwhile addition to the Rainbow Six franchise. If you’re looking for a game that combines strategy and action in a vibrant setting, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is definitely worth a try!
there's like 3 ubisoft games that are actually good, and this is one of them.
oh, and also DONT SUPPORT UBISOFT 👍
game was gold for time but now thinking about how dumb the cover system is nowadays makes me laugh
Many fond memories playing this back in the xbox 360 days of yore. Man I miss being a teenager sometimes. If you are trying to use the built in controller support, it is going to take some tweaking but I was able to get my xbox series x controller working with it just fine.
This game is an all time classic used to play it on PS3 and man just brings back Nostalgia and honestly runs really well and TERRY HUNT cant go wrong with Proper Terrorist Hunt Mode Unlike R6 now days yikes
10/10 This game is better than Rainbow Six Siege in every single way.
old school but re-play ability is really good.
The Modern Gaming Equivalent of Archeotech
The game holds up even over a decade later. It is an testament to what old Ubisoft was capable of before started prioritizing controversial practices over making high quality products. They were capable of making good games in the past... they can still do so if they bring back the old guard, return to their roots, and reject modernity.
I very much recommend playing this game and its precursor Rainbow 6: Vegas. There may be some private online multiplayer servers available for both games but I have never tried to access them as I am an Campaign man. It's still worth looking as the gameplay holds up even today, if you have an good computer you will enjoy the 150 fps this game regularly gives without stressing your GPU. If you get it while it's on sale, you can usually swipe both games for less than 10$.
My prognosis: Old but Gold, 10/10 m8
Terrorist hunt is still fun in 2024.
I have like 3 memories where this game refused to let me play it; therefore, I shall never partake in Vegas 2.
Was worth my money and fun
They werent in before and now they've been commited to heinious crimes. Jupiter says saturn was errupted with low refunds thru accountant management. This wasnt supposed to be a thing but its been leaked before. Rocksteady is back and sony is leading it right to the Pussy
Yeah sure lemme send my 2 goons out in the the line of fire I'm sure there's no way that could go wrong!
THE greatest tactical shooter ever made.
It's basically Vegas 1 but better until it isn't.
For the first 5 chapters it's smooth sailing because the original's gameplay was already pretty solid, add to it some more then welcome QoL improvements, way less bloom and good level design and you're golden. I especially like that it's good companion piece to the first game aesthetically speaking - it's mostly daytime un-touristy Vegas this time. Sometimes the checkpoints are still evil, but what are you gonna do.
And then chapter 6 happens, you leave Vegas and this game crashes and burns hard. It turns into early CITY interactive levels of all consuming garbage. You are thrown into the most generic place in existence, the plot starts aggressively insulting my intelligence, all squad mechanics go bye-bye and the enemies start their clown car routine. I caught them spawning out of a thin air right before my eyes more than once.
And then in chapter 7 we have the helicopter boss. In the Rainbow Six game. A helicopter boss. And it feels like it's in "top 5 worst helicopter bosses in gaming" list easily. And then, after the most moronic villain speech you will hear in your life, your commanding officer pulls that "you disobeyed the order and you're fired.....because we giving you the seat at out cool guys command center cuz your awesome" shtick for 10 seconds and then the game just dies.
Does all stuff at Ubisoft Montreal were replaced by interns for the last six months or what?
Give me a heart attack and call my papi...
Unintentionally terrifying. Clunky and ugly, yet perfected.
10/10 Based Tom Clancny Rainbow Six Series. you dont need u-play.
Sound doesn't work properly.
this game is fucking broken, the game says you can use a xbox360 controler but if you were to try to play it with one or a ps4 controller it won't work at all, i hope a mod is made to make it easier to play with a controller. i tried to get my companions to stack up on a door and they wouldn't do it.
Good action, not too much of a resource hot
steven seagal simulator
Really good simulation for combat.
Just like the first one, a masterpiece
While Vegas 2 is worth at least trying by any standard it isn't a great game and definitely not one would want to replay often.
Main gripe I have is with the friendly AI. Teammates constantly get stuck and stay in place regardless on what orders they are given. In many cases they can be standing right next to door I want them to prepare to breach and will do nothing. Thus I have often found myself clearing whole sections entirely by myself with AI is Assault mode idling in some corner.
Aside from the AI level design in rather bland filled with horrible mid 2000s cripting - enemies spawn right in the middle of your screen, enemies don't spawn until random triggers are hit. Often completing section on the first try is next to impossible since non knowing what will spawn extra enemies often leads to certain dead. Terrible scripting that is fairly common also sometimes combines with bad choke points where clearing them feels much more luck based than skill based.
Underlying systems show some potential and when the AI works the game is much more engaging than most modern shooters. Especially for those who have grown tired of the single man army archetype. Here being alone means almost certain dead its just a pity that one is most often alone by the volition of his own teammates. For those few bright moments its worth to give Vegas 2 couple of moments.
Great classic game
One of the best co-op games. Terrorist hunt was and still is amazing. the new Rainbow Six Siege took that OUT!!! What were they thinking!!!? This is still a great game.
Still my favorite R6 game followed by Vegas 1 and Rainbow Six 3, unfortunately the multiplayer servers shut down meaning you can't coop with buddies anymore and there are a ton of bugs and audio issues but its still fun to go and play terrorist hunt on Villa or Kill House
My favorite R6 game, but mostly due to how I used it as a distraction during my parents divorce as a child lol, so I realize that I may be unrealiable when it comes to how good this game is. But I still think it holds up in a lot of ways and I really wish Ubi would go back to this style of R6 game, but it will most likely never happen due to how successful Siege is and how terrified they seem to be of not making open world or PVP games.
A considerable improvement over its already fantastic predecessor. The addition of customization options to the single player game - and allowing that progress to transfer over to all of the other gameplay modes - is by far the best enhancement, while the beefed up AI is impressive and the refined co-op play offers a great range of options.

Really no different from the prior game but despite almost practically no change in gameplay from the first and technically a truer visual aesthetic (less brown and bloom filtered) this feels even LESS like a Rainbow Six game. And that climax with the helicopter? Say what you will about all the "dumb stuff" apparently in Siege but this is worse, that is bad. Reccomended to completionists only. These two Vegas games feel a bit too bombastic for my taste but at least with the first one there was a sense of novelty. Objectively not bad but so off the mark of what this series is.
Excellent realistic difficulty.
AI is very nasty and tricky.
Don't play if you scare easily.
very good game, simple but difficult. 10/10
This would probably be an extended DLC for the first one these days but back then it was a whole new game. Unfortunately, it doesn't really add much to the previous version. Most weapons are locked behind ranks and skill points which are slow to unlock. The game is far more "Rambo" as well (the previous needed tactics and strategy as it was really difficult, but this feels more FPS with 'tactics' thrown in for familiarity). Having said that, if you like these tactical shooters, then it's worth playing.
Bring back the servers
This version of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Vegas 2 is not the version I remember playing as there are multiple technical errors within it, such as the animation glitches and constant cutting in and off of in-game audio, and the on-line gameplay is apparently inoperative in function and connection. This product has not withstood the test of time and buyers must beware of the high possibility of this video game breaking down in real-time during gameplay.
An awesome game focused on action and enjoyment. No long text dialog or annoying puzzles, just non stop tactical combat. A real throwback to simple but fun, non woke gaming.
Wish i played this growing up instead of halo reach
Loads of T-Hunt fun, the best FPS shooter in it's age
no cd key
why the fuck Ubisoft is still using cd key system?
you can't use cd key on your new PC with same steam account
Игры похожие на Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Vegas 2
