This game has one million bugs and still hasnt fixed the stuck in loading/saving screen glitch.
FUCK NO WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SHITTY ASS GAME. I would rather be under Joseph Stallion, Hitler, and Mussolini's strict dictatorships as a Jewish than play this again. I will actually have nightmares about this ass game. I will absolutely fucking dominate and then get hit with four punches and lose a round. Don't think about blocking, you might as well just be the good little bitch you are and bend over and take it. Blocking doesn't work, you'll get block through it, max speed, stamina, agility, regeneration between everything YET I still appear slow as fuck to some random ass dude who has all power. This game has developers that DO NOT GIVE A FUCK and want money. Don't even consider buying it for $60, maybe if it goes on sale to $10 consider it but I would rather go take a walk through O-Block Chicago in midnight as a crip in a blood territory. I think going through CIA torture would be a more enjoyable experience. I could never see myself even thing about enjoying it. I will have nightmares about it for years to come. If I wanted to feel hell I would learn to box and go fight prime Muhammad Ali but I wanted a fun experience not ghetto ass shi. People reviewing up probably have no idea of what an enjoyable experience is. If you want an enjoyable game with similiar controls just play UFC 5, if you can afford to spend time on this game go out, freelance yourself and buy a PS5 and UFC 5. UFC 5 is actually playable.
Truly awful game
Nothing has changed since I purchased in Alpha stage.
Punches connecting from across the ring
Every game connection is god awful
The boxing feels more fluid in UFC 5 than this actual boxing game
Performance feels awful even when at high FPS setting with a beefy rig
Not to mention the cheaters which I could cope with if the game felt right
The game is dead so if you don't fight heavyweight online you're not getting a fight
Decent effort from the devs but it just falls flat at every aspect for me, buy a console and play UFC or the old Fight Nights for a better experience.
Poorly made slop trying to cash in on the lack of games in the genre. combinations feel stiff and lack impact. Animations are beyond are joke, they look terrible just an overall poorly made game that's been prematurely released to make as much money as possible off of overpriced DLC fighters.
Its in a very odd state currently, My career is bugged and can no longer compete in any fight, UI is still very clunky and can be extremely slow.
The AI is very one dimensional, Jab then spam hooks will always defeat the computer regardless of difficulty, one body punch breaks the computers algorithm for a few cycles.
Its very clear there is a weird code that stops you from correctly counter punching the computer, youll slip a punch, input the correct counter and the game just awkwardly stops.
Even with denuvo the online experience is still filled with hackers.
on sale it is worth it for the offline solo experience, it is not worth full price currently.
Almost 500 hours played since early access. Sad to say the recent update has destroyed any enjoyment I get from this game whatsoever. Movement was much better pre update, now it feels slow and has no fluidity. Ghost punches are the worst they've ever been. Game is now just spam hooks and see who gets KO'd first. Incredibly disappointing update. Pre recent update I would've given this game a 7.5/10 now it's a 3/10 at best.
I really like the game, but I didn't pay these prices for it. I got it back in early access when it was a lot cheaper.
The character customization in career mode is lacking in some very important areas. You can go deep into reshaping a face, but for this price point I would expect there to be way more hair/facial hair options. Where's the dreadlocks, different beard shapes and lengths, different mustache shapes and goatee combinations.
The pre-existing/pro models all looks great though and the venues look fantastic. Some more announcer lines and variations would be nice. Listening to the crowd react positively or negatively based on the match is really immersive. Instant replays on Knockdowns are a great touch.
The footwork feels absolutely fantastic and being able to switch between high-and-tight and a low-and-loose stance at will is rewarding when you use it to slip past an incoming flurry.
Punches need some work, mostly in regards to the timing between pressing the button and the wind up starting. Sometimes it almost feels like I didn't press the button for a moment. Spacing can be really hard to figure out but once you figure it out then it's a lot of fun to play from the outside and land some unexpected headshots.
The foundation is here for an amazing game, hopefully the devs can deliver.
just noticed the appalling DLC being added to the game so i thought i'd leave a review for anyone who hasn't spent money, don't. this isn't going to be the next fight night, they're literally charging people for new fighters at a time, new apparel at a time, it's ridiculous. this should be stuff we can unlock in the game. i fully get needing to make a buck, but the prices they list are baffling, it's not worth your wallet, ever. also some really sus reviews on the DLC itself. don't support cash grabs when they wont even fix or develop the base product!
Undisputed—what can I really say about this game? Honestly, I know next to nothing about boxing. I rarely watch matches, and the only boxers I recognize are legends like Ali and Tyson. But I decided to download it anyway, mostly just to have some fun punching the heck out of virtual opponents and hey, why not?
After buying, downloading, and playing it, I have to say it’s not bad at all, especially for someone like me who’s clueless about the sport. I’ve been having a blast knocking out fighters and chasing championship belts. From what I’ve heard, hardcore boxing fans who’ve played other games in the genre point out a lot of flaws, and apparently, this one doesn’t measure up.
But here’s the thing: As someone who doesn’t follow boxing and doesn’t usually play fighting games, I found it incredibly entertaining. It hooked me right away I couldn’t put the controller down! So if you’re looking for a fun, no pressure boxing experience, I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot!
After few years, it's nothing what was promised. Broken, bad punching dynamics. Can't move and punch, throw few jabs and put together some combinations and you're fatigued. It's honestly feels like 90s console game.
Devs lied about tons of things, monstrously overpromised while they knew they cannot deliver half of it they did. What needs fixing since day one is left as is, they added easily addable "upgrades" into it, then published it for all devices so that they can cash in with dlc's. It's a borderline scam.
Want a proper boxing game? Buy Xbox series s and grab fight night champion for it. It's lightyears ahead and often looks better. It's not even a competition really.
I know we need a new boxing game but THIS IS NOT IT!
Do not be fooled, sorry. I know it sucks.
300 hours into this game. Hit Undisputed rank before reset. They keep releasing new paid content but can't even fix the fact that you don't get credit for the 8th round. Or people will rage quit and my ranking goes down. Fix this crap and maybe I'll buy your DLCs or else get lost.
Honestly, I feel like Undisputed took the blueprint of Fight Night Champion and completely missed the mark.
The core gameplay just isn't satisfying. Whether you're delivering shots or on the receiving end, it lacks that impactful feeling. The balance has been constantly shifted, and it still doesn't feel right.
To add insult to injury, the DLC pricing is absurd. You can buy a good indie game instead of getting a handful of fighters in this title. The content offered simply doesn't justify the exorbitant cost.
Visually, the game is a mixed bag. It's neither "ultra-realistic" nor does it possess a distinct artistic style. The graphics feel strangely off, leaving a lot to be desired.
Ultimately, Undisputed feels more like a soulless cash grab than a genuine passion project. It's a real shame, as the potential was definitely there.
Absolutely terrible online experience, career mode is playable if repetitive, and the real issue of the horrible gameplay will plague this game until it dies. They've tried to fix it but they don't know how. Just pick a fighter with longer reach and spam hooks, they're more effective than every other punch x10.
I bought the game at his first days and now it's a pure garbage where you have to buy every character to play it, so I don't recommend at all, I swear the devs will end under a bridge to ask for food.
This game is such a waste of time and money, and the devs are completely delusional. There are so many things that are wrong with this game, but all thery do - is spam DLCs, when their peak player base is less than 1000 people per day. Don't buy this
This game has potential if the developers step it up and take action or just sell the title. The updates are minimal and the fighters are slim unless you want to pay $20 for reskinned fighter DLC, which sucks for those who bought into the original sales pitch from ESBC (the title prior to Undisputed). I don't know why I keep hoping it will change, it seems this game just won't improve. It's a solid 6/10
Been playing since Beta and I'm on the verge of giving up on this game. I held on for so long trying to have faith in these devs and they have consistently shot down my hopes and dreams for this game. Barely fix the base game , dont even regularly update the game but when they do they add content behind $20 dollar pay walls , like wtf? Game is dogsh1t, devs are dogsh1t, and time and time again they just push bs little updates with more paid content without even improving the actualy dam game itself. Waste of money and 100+ hours of gameplay. I tried to keep my faith in this game for so long and this latest update has pushed me over the edge. Maybe I'll return to this next year and see what more hundreds dollars worth of paywalls they will put into this game while it still maintains its same unfluid and shit gameplay. FIX THE GAME AND STOP PUTTING OUT $20 DLC'S WITH EVERY UPDATE. TRASH DEVS
backed this game from the outset when in early access and they reward my loyalty by locking new content behind payed dlc.
thanks
$20 DLC's? Beta played better than release....Best boxing game on PC....only boxing game on PC....
Just checked in if this game is still shit and can confirm it is. Nothing works as intended, AI is terrible absolutely unrealistic and barely anything has changed since buying this game, other than ofcourse its price, which has for no good reason, risen from 30€ to 50€. This game has to be a scam, cash grab, rug pull or whatever you wanna call it, its been hyped as the next competitor in Boxing / Combat sports games but its not even worth wasting your computers space on, not even talking about the ridicoulusly high price tag. All in all i would give this game maybe a 2/10 if it was free.
$20 for a dlc is a joke when you have a game as bad as this one and you dont even have that many boxers to begin with. Fight night is way better than this and if you have the option to play that dont even consider buying this game. The only reason I even played it as much as I did was because you have 0 competition rn so we have no choice but to play the trash. Not to mention you guys release bs "updates" where you really dont change anything that matters at all and I believe its just to make it appear like an improving game so you can pop out another trash money grab $20 dlc. I would never buy a single game made buy this dev ever again tbh. You know you are absolute trash when you make EA look good.
I genuinely would price this game at like $15 max. It looks somewhat decent graphically but the gameplay is trash and there are hardly any fighters in the game and they are adding packs for half the price of the game. Its a trash game with trash devs who only care about making a quick buck
not enough content for the price. this game make ufc 5 look incredible. fight night is still miles better than this garbage cash grab game
Great boxing game! Mechanics and movements are very fluid!
This game is so bad, its completely unbalanced, and broken. All you have to do is spam haymakers to win, no skill needed. Absolute joke, don't waste your time.
Bunch of scammers, bought this game 2 years ago and they released more content then than now, they only look at their purse instead of doing what they fcking promised to do, a competent boxing game
Do you want opponents to land a shot from 12 feet away? This is your game! Do you want to watch a punch land on your opponents body and have the game tell you they blocked it? This is your game! Do you want COMPLETELY broken legendary fighters that have unblockable attacks? This is your game! Do you want to keep waiting for a dev team to fix their broken product and then watch them just release new character packs but only as paid DLC? This is your game!
A Failed Knockout – Undisputed Disappoints
Undisputed was supposed to be the big return of boxing games, but instead of a knockout, we got a technical knockdown. The game has massive shortcomings, is full of bugs, and the gameplay is far from satisfying.
The first issue is the punch physics – they often feel unrealistic, and landing hits doesn’t feel rewarding. The animations are stiff, and fighters move like robots. The blocking and dodging mechanics are also problematic – they often feel random, and character reactions can be delayed.
Another problem is balance – some fighting styles are useless, and matches often come down to spamming a few effective punches. The AI is terrible – opponents behave unnaturally, with reactions that are either too predictable or completely chaotic.
And then there are the bugs. Graphical glitches, problematic matchmaking in online mode, and even fights suddenly ending for no reason. It feels like the game was rushed and lacks polish.
Compared to the classic Fight Night Champion, Undisputed falls short. EA Sports managed to create a dynamic and realistic boxing system years ago, yet this game feels like a step backward. If you’re looking for a good boxing experience, you’d be better off going back to Fight Night rather than struggling with this unfinished game.
Score: 3/10
This game is a piece of dog shit people have so many cheats and the devs do nothing about it I have 3 losses one i knocked a guy out went back to the menu I had a loss another they guy quite before the fight even started I got a loss I played one guy with unlimited get ups I want my record fixed or my money back I supported this bs since beta show hour customers some freaking respect
do not purchase. developers dont care about fixing the game or giving updates. they willing to charge AAA prices though.what a scam
Undisputed was only "fully released" to justify a release on consoles which meant they could green light dlc so they could reach a wider audience to make more money, as much as people dislike jake paul being added, it attempts to attract a newer generation to the world of boxing but instead of being an introduction to the genre it becomes a deterrent for people to even gain interest because they have to worry about broken mechanics and exploits against players online and can't even enjoy an offline experience because the game is so unsatisfying to play. Countering your opponents, controlling the ring and trying to "box" has no fulfilment because you feel like you're punished for playing this way. The fact that this is only option that fight fans have on PC without installing UFC Undisputed Forever only hurts the overall growth and health of the community. Truly just sad the overwhelming support Steel City had in the beginning only for them to neglect the community and ruin the game. I do not understand what they are doing for the hit tracking to be so horrible and it still not be fixed 3 and a half months later. Its a boxing game what other mechanics/features are taking so high priority that this can't be fixed? its like you buy a racing game and it handles like watch dogs 1, you'd just be left wondering what the devs did the entire time.
It had so much potential, but seems like the devs cashed in early and took a hike. They botched the punch tracking horribly around release and now it's more or less abandonware.
I understand they're different devs but its just not even close to fight night and that was in 2011...
A Heartbreaking 500+ Hour Journey – Save Your Time and Money
I don’t usually feel compelled to write reviews, but after spending well over 500 hours with this game, I feel an overwhelming need to share my experience with others. The frustration and disappointment I’ve encountered have reached a point where I simply can’t remain silent any longer. I’ve invested far more time into this game than I would ever care to admit, hoping that the countless hours would eventually lead to an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Instead, I’ve been left with a game that is rife with broken mechanics, unbalanced systems, and a multitude of issues that have persisted since launch. The most disheartening part of it all is that the developers have made little to no effort to address or rectify these issues, despite repeated feedback from the community. For anyone even remotely considering purchasing this game, I urge you to look elsewhere. There are far better, more refined options out there that will truly reward your time and money.
The Infamous Round 8 Glitch – A Game-Breaking Issue
Let’s dive into one of the most frustrating and game-breaking issues that has haunted my experience with this title: the infamous Round 8 glitch, also known as the Last Round glitch. This problem has plagued the game since it was first released, and despite countless complaints from the player base, the developers at SCI have been utterly silent on the matter. To clarify, this glitch occurs during the final round of a fight, where it fails to register and score the last round correctly. This means that, in many cases, players lose matches they should have won simply because the game neglects to accurately score the last round. It’s incredibly frustrating when you’ve worked hard throughout the fight, only to have the game screw you over in the final moments because of a glitch that should have been addressed long ago. The fact that this game-breaking issue has persisted for so long with no real effort to fix it speaks volumes about the developers’ lack of commitment to maintaining and improving the game. This glitch, in particular, has caused many of my matches to end in confusion and disappointment, and it feels like a slap in the face to loyal players who’ve given this game their time.
Knockdowns Are Nearly Impossible to Achieve – An Unbalanced System
Moving on to another major issue, the game’s knockdown system is broken and inconsistent at best. Ideally, a boxer who stuns their opponent should be rewarded with an opportunity to land a knockdown. However, in this game, that’s hardly ever the case. The mechanics simply don’t work as you’d expect. Knockdowns are almost impossible to achieve unless you’re playing as overpowered fighters like Deontay Wilder or Carl Froch, who can spam power uppercuts and hope for a lucky knockdown. For the vast majority of the roster, landing a knockdown is an exercise in futility. This undermines the satisfaction that should come with executing a well-placed, perfectly timed punch. Instead of feeling rewarded for landing clean strikes, you’re left frustrated as the game fails to deliver the consequences of your hard work. As a result, the gameplay often feels like a tedious grind, where even successful moments don’t carry the weight they should.
The Game Does Not Reward Technical Play – A Skill Gap That Doesn’t Exist
As someone who values technical boxing—emphasizing strategy, precision, and a diverse set of moves—I have been left sorely disappointed by this game. The core mechanics simply do not reward players who take the time to master the nuances of boxing. Instead, the game’s design encourages spamming—whether it’s hook spamming, body shot spamming, or power shot spamming. It’s incredibly frustrating to fight against opponents who don’t bother with basic boxing fundamentals like jabs or straight punches, yet still manage to win by exploiting the broken mechanics that have existed since the game’s release. I can’t count the number of times I’ve lost to an opponent who didn’t throw a single jab, let alone a straight punch, yet somehow emerges victorious because they abused these flaws. It’s clear that the developers have abandoned any intention of creating a balanced, technical experience, opting instead to cater to those who are willing to exploit these issues. Even more disheartening is the fact that SCI has shown no sign of addressing or fixing these problems, despite widespread feedback from the player base. Their complete disregard for the integrity of the gameplay is truly disappointing.
Ranked and Quick Play – A Miserable Experience
If you’re a newcomer thinking about jumping into ranked or quick play, I’d highly recommend you reconsider. The matchmaking system is a mess. Queue times are excessively long, and when you finally get into a match, you’re likely to face players who are exploiting the game’s broken mechanics. In fact, it’s incredibly common to face opponents who rely on spamming hooks while playing passively on the back foot or spamming body shots with no regard for the technical aspects of the sport. There’s absolutely no skill gap in this game—if you’re willing to play passively and walk backward while spamming hooks, you can win nearly every match with minimal effort. But if you try to engage in a more strategic fight, using a variety of punches and techniques, you’ll quickly realize that the game punishes you for trying to play with any kind of skill. It’s not about who’s the better boxer—it’s about who can exploit the most broken mechanics. The game fails to offer any real challenge and instead rewards lazy, unskilled tactics that make the experience feel like a repetitive, monotonous grind rather than an exciting and engaging challenge.
The Dismal Meta – A Stale and One-Dimensional Strategy
Since the game’s release, the meta has remained virtually unchanged, and it’s become a source of immense frustration. The strategy for success is painfully simple: walk backward, don’t walk forward, and spam punches. That’s it. The game has boiled down to a one-dimensional, passive strategy that rewards players for constantly retreating and spamming hooks, leaving very little room for actual strategy or creative gameplay. You might be wondering, “If this is the winning strategy, why don’t you just do it?” The answer is simple: I find it boring. I didn’t invest my time in this game to simply backpedal and spam—boxing is supposed to be dynamic, fast-paced, and full of strategic depth. But instead, this game has become an exercise in passivity, where you’re essentially forced into a boring, unskilled playstyle if you want to win. It’s not what I signed up for, and after 500 hours, I’m still left yearning for a more exciting, rewarding experience.
Tracking Issues and Hit Detection – A Major Setback
Another major problem with the game is its hit detection and tracking system. Even when using some of the most technically sound fighters—like Lomachenko, Sugar Ray Robinson, or Muhammad Ali—the game’s tracking system fails to deliver. You would expect precision and accuracy from fighters known for their impeccable technique, but instead, the game seems to actively punish you for trying to fight on the front foot. Whether you’re trying to land clean jabs or execute well-timed straights, the game’s hit detection often fails to register your punches, making it nearly impossible to fight effectively. This not only makes playing off the front foot frustrating but also pushes players toward the passive, back-foot strategy that dominates the meta. The tracking issues significantly hinder the skill-based game play that should be at the core of the experience, further perpetuating the game’s broken state.
It's like Fight Night, but with way less loading time. A few minor complaints regarding things like what the announcers say in the fight needing more variation and the nickname of the fighter mentioned. No clinch, but they have shoving and I'm not a fan of clinching anyways.
trash game. scammer devs. no good updates. animations trash. ai trash. everything about this game is trash. I wish we had fight night on pc.
Not recommended. I played as linares using jabs and body shots against amir Khan on quick fight pro and simulation mode for 10 rounds, and Khan slowed down after 4 first rounds of eating jabs and body shots just to magically regained his health and stamina back and blitzed me into oblivion instantly in one exchange, rendered all my effort pointless. No satisfaction at all playing this game, just frustration.
*Although it runs well on 4k 60 ultra settings.
This is at its core a good game. The ratings were sunk by children and trolls who don't know sh!t about boxing.
Online needs improvements to be enjoyable, sure, but career mode has been entirely enjoyable and it felt like actually boxing. Which is incredibly hard to put into a game
There are some bugs, the AI has certain boosts to make it effective vs human players but not as bad as bad players think. The AI actually fights decently well at regular difficulty, utilizing boxing maneuvers ,etc.
There is a lot of nuance and depth if you put the time into it
But if you care more about customizing your fighters attire than actually fighting in the ring - this is not for you
I love this game but finding someone to fight is complete dogshit. CHANGE the way we connect with others.
The game should connect you with someone AND THEN CHOOSE THE WEIGHT AND FIGHTERS.. the current way of matchmaking is just the dumbest thing EVER.
This game does not make any sense. I knocked down the opposing boxer literally 5 times, and they still have almost full stamina in the championship rounds just to beat me because me boxer is gassed. How does that make any sense? and the AI would just take a knee to prevent further damage on them when you stun them?
If your buying this game hoping to fill the void of missing fight night then temper your expectations! Its crazy how the last fight night over 20 years ago is still a better game. Its fun to play don't get me wrong but the career mode leaves a lot to be desired, training camp sucks don't let you train just click a button and when ya knock a guy down he could be swinging off the ropes and no matter where he falls down when they start the count hes always in the middle of the ring and they only have 3 animations for knockdowns. Overall id rate it a 6 and that's only because there is zero competition for a boxing game.
Stuck on loading screen for a fight with Loma for no reason wasted my time getting up to 90 overall just for it to keep me stuck on a loading screen and no reason for it to be happening besides the game not functioning properly FIX YOUR GAME SMH.
the WORST boxing game ever. when I throw a left hook and they move to their right my left. do you think its gonna hit yeah probably or if your autistic no but. why these punches so slow or why is my straight not straight
its gay its going up sometimes it'll work but what the hell or that my punches are delayed AF my first hook is fast but the second takes 3 years. Its an alright game but you need to make it like fight night 2004 the actual greatest boxing game. ok bye AND FIX THE DAMN GAME
My biggest issue with this game is that body blocking feels so so so much worse than the way FNC did it. If this game had that, it would be 10 times better.
As someone who has played boxing games from Barry McGuigan > 4D Boxing > Fight Night the last years have been starved of any boxing game to fill the gap. Lack of a career mode and then dodgy reviews put me off getting this for edges. Its got its flaws but its a lot better than the negative comments suggest. Enjoying it so far and eager to play more.
Worst fighting game I have ever played in my LIFE!!!!!!!!
Terrible collision, broken fighters and exploits, janky animations, unrealistic and easily exploited judging, and it seems like the devs have no interest in fixing their game. You know it's bad if it makes UFC 5 look like a good fighting sim. GGs.
ai used to be enjoyable to play, now theyll sprint away and turn into neo from the matrix blocking every punch. please tweak his
Definitively one of the boxing games on PC ever made. Mind blowing if you've never played Fight Night 3 for Xbox 360 and if you ever played 4 then don't buy this or you will be very sad. Good news is you actually have to know how to box to play the game well but with the limited roster, fight styles, DLC boxers when the game is supposed to have 100+ to start with yet only has 70...Then you buy Jake Paul and hes insane. On top of that if you have even the slightest sensitivity on your controllers triggers you might have block held down the entire time you play and yes i tested my controller it is perfectly fine and calibrated properly. All that said its a boxing game on PC at least we have that. Game has potential, hopefully it gets sorted out in time.
Genuinely a horrible experience with developers that do not give two fucks about the game.
I'll start off with the good:
Now the bad:
Punch Accuracy
This is the biggest one. Shots will constantly miss even if your opponent is stationary or in the middle of throwing. It doesn't matter who you are. You can either be Usyk or Robinson and they will constantly miss the same amount of shots. Even something as single as a jab is completely unaffective the majority of the time as it will either completely bounce off the guard or miss entirely. This is why people spam hooks to this day as it is seemingly the only shot that connects consistently. Crosses and uppercuts are completely pointless and you are actively putting yourself at a disadvantage by using them.
Movement
Quick slips are allocated to one button and thus you have absolutely no control which direction the slip occurs. Then you have rotational slipping which is completely pointless as shots will not land anyway, and when they do they completely break your guard.
You cannot move whilst throwing simutaneously, and so movement is extremely robotic and unintuiative. You have to throw, then move, then throw again, then move. This makes finishing nearly impossible. You can have your opponent dazed, they will have absolutely zero defence, but because you cannot move and throw, you cannot finish them off consistently - unless of course, you spam hooks.
Weaving is completely useless as there is constantly a delay. I want to duck under hooks, however I have to perform the action at least 4 different times before the game actually registers the movement I want to make. It should be better than this. Give me the option to swap stick combat with stick dodging and this problem would be fixed immediately. Instead, I have to hold block and power toggle to weave, which makes no sense.
Stamina and Recovery
Stamina is the most inconsistent thing I have ever seen in a fighting game. Even UFC 3 and FNC does this better, which came out years ago in comparison. Every single shot will use up stamina, which is fine, however movement and blocking will not. So most matches are just either spamming the same shot over and over again, or standing in the pocket waiting for somebody to throw.
In Career Mode, the AI stamina is straight up unfair. They will throw 12 punch combinations, all of which will miss or are taken on the glove, and will still have enough stamina left to throw one random power hook out of nowhere. Meanwhile you can throw, at most, 4 shot combinations before needing to stop and regenerate. It makes absolutely no sense at all and makes it feel like technical skill doesn't matter at all.
Power Shots
These are extremely overpowered and there is genuinely no reason to use any other shot except for powers, because these are the only shots that will land more consistently than standard or counter shots. Heavyweights specifically, it is even worse.
Countering
A prominent counter puncher will always be at a disadvantage here, and punch accuracy is a primary factor to this, but it also makes every other stat of that fighter completely redundant as they will not have the tools to push pressure. You are guarenteed to always lose.
Bugs
There are still day one bugs from early access that still have not been addressed. Fighters turning around in the middle of the ring, unlimited round timers, ghost punches, desyncs, fighters falling outside of the ring, models T-posing, KO randomness from jabs, fighters getting counted without a knockdown. The list goes on and I'll be here all day. Since the December update, I have noticed even MORE bugs crop up which they are not addressing. But hey, please buy the Jake Paul fighter pack.
Character Customisation
It is as bare bones as it gets. There about 12 hairstyle options, 6 tattoo options and 4 hair colours. There is a bit more modification on actual body structures but that is so redundant considering you cannot customise anything else.
There literally only three different shorts designs, three shoe designs and 5 glove designs - 2 of which are product placement.
Anti-Cheat
There isn't one. Don't bother touching online. There is an unbelievable amount of hackers that can one hit KO you, have unlimited stamina and unlimited HP.
Online Play
Also terrible. Constant connection issues and horrendous desync where your opponent can hit you from across the ring.
TLDR; Do not waste your money on this game. Go back and play Fight Night Champions or Stand n Bang on UFC 3-5. They will not fix this game. They've made it very apparent when they've just gone radio silent unless they're amount to make a DLC drop. I've given up.
Do not waste your money on this disgrace of a 'boxing' game. I've had this since early access, and there have been zero improvements to the gameplay. Matter of fact, its only gotten worse. I know its an indie studio, but don't make false promises and release DLCs which are just plain cashgrabs.
UFC 5 has its flaws, but its 100 times better than whatever this is. At least they have a working game. Shame on you Steel City.
bought this game in alpha/beta thinking the company would actually develop the game. sad mistake. steam refuses to refund me even after this game full released a steaming hot pile of garbage thats had the same bugs for well over a year still make its way into the full release, no graphical changes made whatsoever, punching mechanics are off by miles, stamina and health are both highly broken, reach advantage doesn't exist, there is no "power advantages", stamina saving perks are broken and do not work, movement is highly imbalanced seeing as you can throw a full 9 piece combo with 2 power punches and still dodge/slip without losing any stamina, actually dodging and slipping somehow GIVE you stamina in this game. 1000% do not buy this game until SCI gets their shit together and fixes this game with a MASSIVE rework.
