Claim your domain with an animal of your choosing in an environment that best suits your needs—dense jungle, treacherous swamps, and the wide open areas of the island all offer unique advantages and challenges. Compete with other players and AI in a bid for supremacy and survival in the food chain.The game's core centers around making you feel like your animal, putting you in full control and giving you a sense of what it was like for the animal when it roamed the Earth, growing and tending to your needs. Balancing your thirst, hunger, and stamina are vital day-to-day concerns as you explore the rich environment around you alone or in a pack of friends.A herbivore and various carnivores are available for play, with AI driven characters likewise inhabiting and stalking the land around you.
Future updates will extend this roster further, with larger animals and aquatic biomes planned.
Customisation
The game includes a character customisation system, giving you creative control over aspects such as patterns, colouring, and skin types.
Spots or Stripes? Proto-feathers or scales? It's up to you.
A dynamic world
Roam a large, diverse island with its own day/night cycle and highly variable weather.
Fog, snow, and storms may reduce your vision as you navigate through the world.Animals can be seen roaming the island, with carnivore AI hunting for their meals—make sure you don't end up on the menu! A big goal of the project going forward is to build on the initial AI systems, such as by expanding the herbivore AI and generally making the animals feel more true to life with behaviour that uniquely suits them.
Custom servers
Documentation on server hosting is available, with a plethora of options available for server owners—weather changes, time of day progression, AI count, gameplay parameters such as the speed at which your needs deplete, stats overrides, and many more are all available to tailor the experience to your community's liking.Social

Not really fun. Have never seen anyone online in this game.
Alright, this one is a bit complicated.
The developer is great and is putting a ton of time and effort into making this game amazing, and he's doing a good job thus far. The creatures look amazing, the environments are spectacular, and the animations are decent enough... But ultimately, it's just not worth spending $20 on the game in it's current form, the gameplay is terribly simple, the map is far too large to justify having so few players available on each server, night time and storms are simply just not enjoyable, and the AI is laughably easy to hunt down, all of that not even mentioning the Christmas miracle that is required to encounter another player in-game.
Additionally, the movement honestly feels like they tried to re-invent the wheel, the existing framework for good creature survival game movement has been well established for years, but the system that was put in place, although novel, just feels clunky and unpolished. And in some cases, can severely break many of the locomotion animations in very strange ways. There is also the issue of sound design, volume is wildly inconsistent, some audio effects are far lower quality than others, and although many of the ambient tracks are good, the weather, storms, beaches, and a few other audio bits are just outright obnoxious.
There is also the UI and mechanic design, many key mechanics and UI elements honestly feel fine, but generally have a feeling of being undercooked. For instance, the skin creator UI and mechanic overall functions, but would feel much better if it was in an environment with consistent, controlled lighting, and a more readable options list for the skin patterns. The spawning UI looks rather messy as well, although it's simplistic which I am quite fond of, selecting an area of the map doesn't really feel right. Additionally, some mechanics and UI elements are left feeling better suited to a tech demo, such as the stamina bar, character menu, growth, and temperature, all of which are vital for the player to understand, and should be much more impactful during moment to moment gameplay, because as it stood, I felt zero pressure to accommodate to the temperature system, even while brazenly trotting through wildly different climates.
Honestly, the main suggestion I can make for the developer is to cut the price down to $5, or at the absolute maximum $10... doing that would incentivize many more people to try out the game, leading to hopefully more active servers, and capturing those interesting player engagements that make this genre so captivating in the first place. Additionally, if the price were to be dropped to that extent, people like me wouldn't be intentionally seeking a refund for the game, since the overall experience and value in the multiplayer game would be significantly better justified by the price... if this game was far cheaper, I wouldn't refund it, and I'd likely play the game significantly more than the experience I had tonight.
The game as a whole has many of the pieces already in place to be a great dinosaur survival game, but sadly a few factors such as the overall jank present, "tech demo" feeling mechanics, and a high price tag for the current state of the game lead me to say that I cannot recommend purchasing Isles of Yore at this time.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and of course keep in mind that I absolutely want this game to succeed, and I will likely be revisiting it in the future.

this game so so bad if you buy it you will just throw 10 dollars to the trash the grafic wors than nokia's grafic and very bad optimetion this game trash
Games great, graphically. It will astonish you with how beautiful this game can be at time, either that be you drinking water in a swamp as the volumetric fog covers half of your body or the way the cloud casts a shadow on the ground. But unfortunately that's where it falls off, the gameplay is fairly lackluster, you'll rarely find players on and if you do it will be difficult to find them considering the map is so large, not that it should stop you playing the game considering the AI does populate the map. But other than that I do think you should buy the game, either to support the dev or just to try it out. I can imagine with some better funding and a bigger community this game can become way better than what it is currently. Personally it isn't for me but I can see how others would enjoy this.
