CONSTRUCTION SIMULATOR - GOLD EDITION

About the Game

Construction Simulator has returned – larger and more impressive than ever! Fulfil your ambition to become a successful construction entrepreneur by establishing your business from scratch, assisted by your mentor Hape. Tackle intriguing projects of different sizes and requirements that help you increase your income, so that you're able to add even more powerful machinery to your vehicle fleet. Along the way, diverse clients will test your abilities as you navigate challenges, making every task a test of your skill set. Get ready to showcase your process as you tackle a variety of construction challenges in this dynamic and engaging adventure!

Start your business on two individual maps inspired by landscapes in the USA and Germany. Each of them offers its own campaign that helps you climb the ladder of success. Friedenberg is based on picturesque cities of Southwest Germany, and features enchanting rolling hills and scenic riversides. Here, your objective is to contribute to the design of renewable energy solutions and enhance the local urban infrastructure throughout the campaign. Beyond these significant undertakings, you'll encounter diverse tasks that allow you to put every piece of equipment you earn to the test. Sunny Haven, on the other hand, is a truly American-style harbor city that you have to revitalize to put its tourism industry back on track. Altogether, more than 90 exciting contracts are waiting to be completed on both maps, so you can be sure you'll always come across something new to explore!

Dive back into the construction scene with a vehicle fleet that will leave you awestruck by its sheer size! Take your pick from a selection of over 80 machines from official licensing partners, all of which are faithful virtual recreations of their real-life counterparts. Look forward to a colorful mixture of vehicles from previous installments of the beloved franchise, as well as completely new additions to the game. The same goes for the manufacturers behind them: In addition to the well-known Construction Simulator partners Atlas, BELL, Bobcat, Bomag, CASE, Caterpillar©, Kenworth, Liebherr, MAN, Mack Trucks, Meiller-Kipper, Palfinger, Still, and the Wirtgen Group, you now have the opportunity to put machines by Benninghoven of the Wirtgen Group, CIFA, DAF, Doosan, Nooteboom, Scania, Schwing Stetter, and Wacker Neuson to use. Plus, while creating your character, you can choose an outfit featuring officially licensed personal protection equipment from our new partner Engelbert Strauss.

You think that's everything? Far from it: The updates Construction Simulator has been provided with since its release not only contain patches, but free extra content too. Several new machines have found their way into the game, including the innovative wheel excavator EW100 by Wacker Neuson and a practical service vehicle for refueling and repairing. In addition, the Wacker Neuson EW100 and Wacker Neuson ET145 allow you to choose from a selection of different buckets to quickly adapt to surprising challenges on the construction site. Thanks to crossplay among PC and consoles including voice chat capabilities you can play with your friends regardless of the chosen platform. New tools and features in the form of enhanced terrain reworks, increased vehicle hall capacity, and a handy flashlight are also part of the updates. And since we don't want you to get bored by taking on the same jobs over and over again, an entirely new tourist area as well as various seasonal contracts have been added on top.

All in all, with the initial base game and its updates, Construction Simulator now offers you more than 100 contracts, over 90 machines, and, consequently, almost endless construction fun, which you can experience together with up to three friends in the multiplayer mode. Sounds good, doesn't it? Then what are you waiting for? GET TO WORK!

Construction Simulator proves that games can be both entertaining and informative. If you’re someone who wants to learn the basics of construction, understand how different heavy machines work, and explore real-world building methodologies all while having fun this game is well worth your time.
Methodology-wise, the game mirrors real-world sequences of construction: site preparation, excavation, foundation work, structural assembly, and final detailing. It encourages planning, timing, and proper equipment handling, making it a practical, gamified introduction to construction project management.
so i have not played much when i first bought this game i think i will invest in this since roadcraft is poorly optimized for my computer this is what i have
AMD Ryzen 3-3100 4 core CPU
Radeon RX550\550 Series
8GB Ram
500GB SSD card
Windows10 64-bit home edition
and its a graphics issure Vram with roadcraft but i like this game better
weltenbauer. Software Entwicklung GmbH did a better job though i like snow runner and mud runner
i will invest my money into the dlc
Awfull desync issues, no research done in construction work field to get machines at least a little bit accurate, 2/10, would not recommend.
I can't recommend this game, it's trash. Everything is so janky and just feels painful to try and operate. Maybe I got too many hours into Snow Runner to properly compare it. I want to like this game, I just can't.
I just have to say that you nailed it. I love the game, and it’s a dream come true! You’ve captured almost everything, from digging and paving to house building. It’s very comfortable to play and feels really realistic. I’ve always wanted a game like this, and now I finally get to live the dream. I really like the concept of doing missions in both Europe and the US.
I recommend this game to anyone who has an interest in construction and everything related to it.
I’d love to see missions like mountain blasting, trench digging, and even more tasks involving machinery from the construction industry. I hope that comes in the future! The graphics are beautiful.
This game was clearly made for "people with special needs" that liked to eat sand and play with dump truck toys as a kid. Would recommend.
This game was sitting in my library for quite some time and now i picked it up... The game is fun overall BUT there is few issues i have with the game:
-Fast travel everywhere: Since you have ability to fast travel everywhere. You spend more time in loading screen fast travelling around, instead of driving there your self. Witch makes some transport vehicles compleately pointless, since you can just hop back and forth with fast travel. Fast travel should be a setting you turn on before you make a save or limited to just some locations. That way the game makes you solve the problems of for example how to get that asphalt paver across the map efficiently.
-Mouse cursor always visible?: I don´t understand why we are having my mouse visible on the screen when im driving or walking around? Its just plain anoying
- In some tasks like road milling as a solo player you cant collect old asphalt to sell. Because there is no way of effectively collect it without having a friend join you, and drive beside you as you mill the road. Adding some bots for hire to help you collect asphalt, or deliver asphalt for you from gravel plant to construction site would be very helpful, and add another layer to the game.
-Movement/Driving: Caracter movement is janky, Vehicle handling is ok ish, BUT when stopping your truck, your truck allweys slightly drift forward before fully stopping... And also we dont have handbrakes? So fully stopping is sometimes janky where you want to fully stop and wait on the hill but you start rolling down the hill when you don´t want to
-task completion: i would like to complete some tasks my self fully. Hitting 100% when i did only 70% of work is kinda irritating for me. I would love to need to finish the job almost fully my self instead of game just finishing it for me...
over all its ok game but some quality of life updates are really needed before i can recommend this game for its full price
Fun game, satisfying progression. You can go as easy or hardcore as you want. Fun to play alone but more fun if you play with friends.
Best construction game I have ever played. The only downside is that it can be repeditive at times. 9/10
very enjoyable and fun to play wish their was more customization though

I really like this game. It can be improved but it is really good.
Coop mode doesn't work well. But what really got me was the need of stoping on EVERY EACH RED LIGHT IN THE GAME. If you play 30min, you'll spend 15min traveling/stopping in red lights.
I have Quite a few hours playing this game on Console Yes I know how could I but now I have bought it here and absolutely love using my dual sim-task farm joysticks.
I highly Recommend this game 1010%
Too many bugs, I have to manually set my settings every time at startup and the opening campaign is suddenly locked again (after grinding through it the first time), really frustrating. The controls are awful as well.
The game has potential but I am a keyboard and mouse user on a PC. This game has a worthless UI. It is so difficult and outside what I consider the norm coupled with no ability to reassign any keys , this game is not going to see any more use on my hard drive.. I won't give it a negative because the graphics and the game are fine, it is just the user interface I have an issue with and that can be very subjective.
great game although i would like to see some more american trailer but still a good game
brill game with joysticks etc but what is this auto completing jobs saying 100% when its less than 50% complete.....bit of a killer :(
**EDIT** I put the jobs on "HIGH SCOPE" and its more like 90% now way better :D
Game has good features, but the controls are the most unintuitive BS ever. Bought this to play with a friend, we stopped a big contract halfway in to play the next day. Now the multiplayer lobby is bugged and I can't join him because of a known problem since 2024.
Construction Simulator aims to offer an immersive experience in heavy machinery operation, but unfortunately, it falls short in several fundamental areas. One glaring omission is the lack of hand interaction—players never actually use their hands, which breaks immersion in tasks that should feel tactile and precise.
Another major issue is the limited functionality of equipment. For instance, the mini excavator’s blade can’t be adjusted or tilted for leveling, rendering it almost useless for actual grading work. This oversight makes earthmoving operations feel more like a chore than a craft.
The in-game day cycle is also frustratingly fast. You barely get started before the sun sets, which disrupts workflow and progression. Speaking of lighting, the morning and nighttime brightness levels are poorly calibrated, making visibility a real struggle during early and late hours.
Perhaps most disappointing are the earthworks and backfilling systems. You can't spread gravel properly or manipulate terrain with any real finesse. This makes foundational work—arguably the core of the experience—feel underdeveloped and unsatisfying.
Overall, while Construction Simulator has potential, it currently feels more like a sandbox with toy tools than a robust simulation of real construction work.
this is a very realistic game about construction and if you want to be an operator of these machine or a vehicle so i will recommend this game!
bad, ill be getting a refund. its glitching though, writing this for proof i dont want the game and want a refund.
fun game dont go for harder task if you just want to play for fun but if you really want to dig get a job and crank it up so you are forced to dig that entire site
Really good game for the first to be released on this genre. lack of physics, lots of challenges and opportunities... I'm happy and excited about this game but at the same time, I'm very enthusiast of it's kind and this is something that bring me a lot of worry.
Fun and a great way to familiarize yourself with construction in broad terms.
So, I wanted to get this game a long time ago, but always been too busy to play anything! Finally, I got it! As a huge fan of simulation games of all kinds, from Cities skylines to ETS2, this kind of game is my dream.
I love the feeling of building stuff and the game is very teaching and gets you in to the business. Now, what I miss a lot and think the game will have an "ending" because of it:
- Sandbox. There isn't a lot of freedom to build what you want, how you want. You have quests...which...well...although is fun, but not enough for the modern game.
- More difficult, detailed tasks. Why not to allow players to do electric installation for example? Like in the first start of campaign, when turning on the generator, why not to give a pop up panel and let players to decide what to do? Simulation games are all about freedom and learning!
- I don't care about modding vehicles. I think simulation should be very realistic without any blah blah things. But the game needs much more realism...to be punishable for mistakes, like in real world. Let people to choose how punishable it could be! I get, fast travel makes it easier...but I would prefer more realism! Getting things to the place myself, building safety stuff around myself! Give me a hammer and hands! Allow me to do it!
- Tools! Hey, allow me to do very difficult projects, detailed stuff! It gets boring just jumping from truck to truck and placing lego blocks!
Maybe it would need a new engine, maybe new game...but hey, this would be worth it! Just look at ETS2! Most popular sim game out there which is what, 15 years old? It's really a lot of fun and interest to play Construction simulator, but I am afraid it has very many limits. Maybe release new DLC with open world? Maybe it's possible to get it work online with different events like ET2 original? But heck, it should be more difficult, challenging and interactive!
Armed with a hard hat and all the safety gear i look like a pro sat in my kitchen even hired a digger for the back garden due to this game and then realised i live in a flat. But the game is brillant and the graphics are on point. Just wish there was a little less crane work and more digging.
Nice relaxing game that shows you how hard a construction worker's life really is. 10/10
A bit disappointed that I've bought another game which has dog barking sounds. For people with sensory issues it can be highly unpleasant and it doesn't add anything to the game. If this was Dog Walking Simulator I'd understand, but I'm not sure what inbred dogs barking in to the abyss has to do with construction. I requested a refund but I've had the game for over 2 weeks, which I suppose is understandable.
Seems a good game besides this.
Boy, this is a huge mixed bag and I'd give it a maybe if I could. First of all it's a Unity based 3D big world game, so performance is as bad as you'd expect, even on high end systems from what I've gathered and even more so on Deck of course (best settings for semi stable 30FPS from my experiments at the end).
Working with all the machines - the core gameplay - is fun and keeps me busy without ever having a feeling of rage quitting.
Bugs that haven't been fixed in years (but can be worked around), bad design decisions and an unpolished game world are on the downside and since the team won't put any more effort into it from the looks of it, you'll have to live with it.
Best Deck settings:
1280x800
Exclusive Fullscreen
VSync ON (with Deck set to 30FPS)
Frame Rate Limit 30 (MENDATORY! If you set it higher or even to off, frame rate will actually drop by ~33% even with VSync on!)
Anti-Aliasing TAA
Shader Quality High
Texture Resolution Full
Reduced Vegetation Yes
Undergrowth Distance 200
* Density 50
LOD Bias Medium
Shadow Resolution 1
* Distance 3
Bloom On
SSAO On
SSGI Off
SSR None
Contact Shadows On
Volumetric Fog None
Side Mirrors None
Environment Particles On
Frame rate will still drop by ~33% randomly for no obvious reason especially at construction sites at some camera positions and view angles, but oh well.
As a buyer of the Titanium Edition, the game itself is generally good, but I DO have to make some remarks.
I'll try to review it as respectfully as I can.
Firstly, I played like 2 days of straight gameplay, and here's the review:
Many vehicles from many construction brands, generally good mechanics, many construction sites, enough campaign missions, character customization (sort of), good graphics, advanced controls, and OK optimization.
Now speaking of problems that only I encountered:
1. Physics. The driving system itself is not bad (not that I expected much), but while working with ANY excavator and you're excavating dirt, somehow, someway, your vehicle will just glitch and jump the fuck out, so you have to restart the vehicle to its spawn point. Not that it's THAT big of a bug, but it still needs a proper fix.
2. Log-in problem. As a player who spent 2 days of straight gameplay, I made quite good progress in the game, but yesterday I opened the game, and guess what? The continue button doesn't work at ALL, which means I lost my whole ass company. If I try to start a new profile, there's just a blank screen with 0 companies available after doing character design, which means you're just stuck with 12 GB of waste space because reinstalling or verifying the integrity of the game files won't do shit.
I really hope the devs didn't give up on the game and will improve it over time because the game itself is overall good.
The controls alone are enough for me to want a refund.
Sorry devs, I really want to like this game, my 5 year old loves it too. The controls are just not good.
If you took a page out of the Farming sim games for the controls, maybe even made a toggle for it for the hardcore players or something, I duno.
I'm getting a refund.
more people should play this game in game mods would be much better for the game and developers in the long run to keep it going would like more updates also and color change
its cool great graphics good game play
Of all the realistic or life sim games I've played (and I've played a lot) I would say this is one of the more detailed & complete of the bunch, which probably justifies the higher than usual price tag when not on sale. It is a good game and immersive, although I haven't experienced all of it, certainly seems to have plenty of features & machines in it and a couple of options for campaigns.
If it's on sale then it's a no-brainer, I think it drops to about £16 sometimes.
My only real issue I've experienced with this game is the mouse cursor is pretty much always visible which bugs me, apparently there is no way to have it disappear from view, this can get annoying.
The worst when it comes to simulation games. The clunkiest player and camera movement, it's awful, and the control schemes don't make any sense whatsoever. Combine that with the fact they don't let you remap keybinds to whatever you want makes the experience terrible. Farming Simulator has better everything and it's a primarily farming game, better controls, better camera, better movement, can remap literally everything to what you want, and the amount of equipment is huge because of mods and those mods are free unlike paying for DLC.
The game is good, but there are some flaws that make your experience difficult.
First, the settings. The settings menu is acceptable, but when I apply changes on them, the default settings return after every loading screen.
Second, the camera. The camera control on the controller is bad, and the perspective is disturbing and requires constant movement. As I said, the camera control on the controller is bad.
Third, the car physics are the worst. Don't be surprised if you find your truck stuck in a tree and the transmission is torture . You have to move to get the gear into either drive or reverse. This means that if you're stuck or there's something obstructing your movement,The transmission won't set to drive or reverse so the wheels won't move to help you.
forth, the music sucks and it keeps playing even when i turned the music vol to 0
There are also many bugs that ruin your experience.
so i recommend buying it on at least 40% sale
Very good game to play when bored or when you want to build something impressive, my only complaint is that since they have CAT they also need to add DOG
Dla vrai criss de marde, tu joues, tu passes des heures dedans, ramasse du cash, tu t'amuse pis pouff ca crash et tu perds toute ta sauvegardes sans possibiliter de la reprendre .... Restart all over again, fuck it!
amazing game & it's graphics top class
I really want to enjoy it, but the vehicle controls make this game unplayable. The number of times I've had to quit because crane controls are all over the place is ridiculous.
It doesn't need to be this complicated
THIS GAME SO REALISTIC, AND THIS GAME IS EASY HOW TO MANAGE EVERY MISSION. BUT, THE CAMERA IS KIND A WORST, AND HANDLING OF DRIVING. I HOPE U CAN MANAGE IT THE HANDLING DRIVING AND WHEN USE EVERY MACHINERY , PLEASE MAKE IT EASY TO USE AS PLAY GTA 5 OR SOMETHING ELSE. THATS ALL THANK YOU
This game is FANTASTIC for the price!!! Excellent detail and gameplay. I'm blow away with how cheap it is for what you get. Awesome!
Pretty good game, though it does have some problems with its camera system, but if you get past it, it can be a lot of fun
Really very fun. Similar to the 2015 version but better in every aspect. Graphics, playability, customisation, difficulty, realism... everything is better.
Turn a dying city into a thriving growing community with all the construction that you accomplish. As you grow you'll find that you can drive by buildings and say "Cool - I helped build that!!!"
For me I like that I can save whenever I want... play 10min or 10h it doesn't matter.
Very relaxing game to play. Just chill and build to your heart's content.
Chill game. I like that it isn't too complex so that Mr. Everybody can easily pick it up and that it lets you do whatever you want. If a task annoys you, feel free to skip it. If you do not want to bother with some mechanics like traffic fines, just opt it out.
I definitely recommend it to people who just want to chill out during the evening by using big machines.
overall good game. not as detailed as farm sim or ats/ets but still good. Lots of crane use. far more than the other machines. overall a good time, but room for improvement for sure.
This game is very similar to Farming Simulator in the way it is built. You get to use many construction machines in a multi steps jobs system where you can rent the necessary equipment for that job. The management and company expansion is as useless as buying more farming land in Farming Simulator. You never get to a point in which you will just watch your workers do all the jobs. You will forever be an one-man-do-it-all-company with a few tricks like skip a construction level or teleportation.
iNCREDIBLE. The most satisfying game on Steam.
