This is one of my favorite games, even though its 8 years old it still holds up. graphics are grate, and the game play is awesome. i highly recommend the game. hope this helped <3

Battlefield 1 delivers one of the most immersive and atmospheric experiences in the entire franchise. The gunplay, sound design, and visuals perfectly capture the chaos and brutality of World War I. Every match feels like a scene from a war film.

The anti cheat doesn't let me launch the game, so it doesn't work. At all. Which sucks because this is one of my most favourite fps gams ever.

It’s not just about kills — it’s about survival, strategy, and pushing the line forward as a team.

The use of WWI-era weapons and vehicles adds to the immersion. Bayonet charges, flamethrowers, bolt-action rifles, massive tanks, and zeppelins — the game reminds you that this was a war fought with raw, brutal tools. There’s no futuristic tech to rely on, just grit and instinct.

Yes, the game has its flaws — the AI in the single-player campaign can be a bit clunky, and multiplayer balance occasionally needs tweaking. But in the grand scheme, these are minor compared to the overall experience.

Battlefield 1 is a rare example of a game that respects its historical subject while still delivering gripping gameplay. It doesn’t shy away from the horror of war — it brings it to the screen with sincerity and respect. It’s not just a game. It’s a tribute.

Battlefield 1 is by far one of the most fun and enjoyable large-scale FPS games I have played in a long time. The shear destruction and chaos that unfolds during each match is surely something to behold so I deeply recommend buying BF1.

The game is good but I can't run it anymore because of the anticheat that detects Daemon Tools as a cheat engine

Disabling Deamon Tools didn't work, uninstalling it didn't work either, users on EA forums suggested using a third party program to wipe it from the registry completely, which I am not doing. EA truly is the worst gaming company, that doesn't care to fix it's anticheat, doesn't even care enough to suggest a workaround, community has to do everything by itself.

EDIT: I ended up wiping it from the registry in the end and the game worked. Still, it wasn't EA's technical support that helped me, but random people on EA's forums so my point about EA being a terrible company still stands

Battlefield 1 is an awesome game, especially when it comes to multiplayer. The campaign is also very cool, but the real fun happens in multiplayer battles — they’re intense and full of action. The graphics are stunning, especially considering the year it was released. DICE really did a great job bringing World War I to life visually.

However, one sad part is the amount of racism you sometimes encounter in the multiplayer community. It’s disappointing and really takes away from the overall experience. Despite that, the game itself is fantastic and definitely worth playing if you enjoy large-scale battles and historic settings.

The game is great, i love it but fuck ea. Their shitty anticheat crashes the game even if my PC is waay up the recommended specs. I only could play for 1 hours.

9 years old later this year, still game still offers one of the best atmosphere in all of modern fps games. If you like war themed games, I find it very hard how not to like this game. Skill gap for total beginner is not too terrible and there is a nice linear learning curve for learning to play better - all u need to do is to just pick weapons that suit for you and keep grinding on a constant pace : )

I played this one on xbox one almost 9 years ago, what I can say is that, while servers are still online and the campaigns are not as memorable as say, BF3 or Bad Company, they are just a big tutorial as to how to play the game.
The gunplay is fun but as you will face veterans and pieces of shit broccoli-headed kids using wallhack, speedhack, autoaim, and even DDoS attacks to the point they can shut down your game takes away the magic, you will get sniped by a machine gunner across the map, the servers are mostly run by people now but they allow hackers to do whatever they want.
WHEN and only WHEN you do find a clean server it is a solid experience but I think that after my 5th run to max out BF4 I still believe it would have been a better choice than this, again I knew what I was getting into but damn the assault class is just broken, they have the AT gun which is a massive sniper, they have automatic high rate of fire guns, shotguns, AT grenades, pretty much everything so it is the easiest class to max out, and the one that will kill you the most, then you have the support class, once some moron gets an optical sight on any lmg you are done for, medic for me has been the hardest to level up but it is rewarding, and scout is pretty fun as always but again, once some hacker notices you are doing good with scout they will focus on you and make your game miserable but again if you are lucky to find a good server, just enjoy it, for the first time in battlefield I was able to experience vehichewh0res yes but they allow you to be in the vehicle instead of the "get out of the vehicle" voice over and over again.
If you want to find servers filter them by slots available "5-10-none" and you will see more servers and avoid those that say "free vip join discord" you WILL find hackers there as soon as you get in the game.
Once you get the idea of how this battlefield plays out you will see the same weapons killing you over and over and over again.
The map design is very damn good and gorgeous and Operations mode is pure bliss.
I wanted to leave a negative review but I find myself logging in often and man it must have been a blast maybe 7 years ago when everything was kinda patched.
7/10 would be an easy 9/10 but hackers, when they do appear, break the magic.
Its not battlefied 4, it's not battlefield V which is just sad to play it, it is not battlefield of duty fortnite siege 2042 which is non existent in my eyes and just give it a try when it's on sale, do not pay full price not even if you are the richest person alive.

ive tried every possible fix under the sun (except for clean windows install, which im NOT going to do for a game this stubborn) and i still CANNOT get past the damn splash screen.
i have no idea what kind of degeneracy is going on that im unable to launch this game but i can perfectly launch and play bf4 and bf5 with no issues whatsoever

best multiplayer FPS game, beautiful graphics and lot's of bombs

Coming from console to pc i always liked this game, everything about It enjoy, the combat, the maps, the story, I don't recommend this game to anyone who's looking for a realism WW1 shooter as this is not it. However, compared to the newer battlefield games i still view this one very highly as when it was released they designed it to the best of their ability so it could live up to graphics or picture of the newer releases. There isn't any of that wall running or having one good gun dominate the entire scene that everyone uses, you can use guns you enjoy in this and still do extremely well in a match. It's one of those games you can play your own style in and not have to worry about a youtubers new video on whats the 'best build'

Won't let me join any multiplayer server, gives and error and crashes every time

The game is great, but EA's app makes me want to hang myself after how many times I tried to launch it with no progress. Same exact "repair your game!!!!!!" type bs. It's impossible for it to run despite reading 4 forums from different sources and listening to the same exact video guides to "fix" it when they are the same exact script.

Almost 10 years later and still has the best immersion I've ever seen. In my opinion looks and IS better than most recent open world shooters, especially those in the battlefield franchise. Imagine what EA could do nowadays if they just left the greed aside...

Honestly, it's been a long time since I've played battlefield at all, what with life and all that. However, since getting back into it, it's just as fun as I remember. The campaign was short and sweet, but lovely all the same. I appreciate the historical accuracy and the friendly environment. The lack of hackers ruining peoples fun is hard to come by in this day and age, and a welcomed change compared to other games.

This is the last good battlefield. It so immersive and fun. It's not a WW1 simulator, it's not by any means 100% historically accurate. But there has been no battlefield since with the satisfying destruction, set pieces, maps, and the Operations mode is a lot of fun. So many fun moments as soon as he whistle that blows as we jump over a trench to attack Point Butter. As a zeppelin flying overhead, with the soldiers screaming to embolden themselves, gas granades disorient you and you fall into the dirt. Your gun is dirty, you put on your has mask, fix your bayonet, and charge to your doom.

This is the biggest pile of... in gaming.

EA is garbage. Literally all I wanted to do was open the game and click play.

The gameplay is a bunch of multiplayer maps each one culminating in an arena fight against a boss or waves. If you go in thinking this is an alternative universe like strangereal, or where everyone is superheroes then they are trying to tell some compelling stories. WW1 this is not, though.

For a game that was published 9 years ago is surprisingly active with many players online. This is by far the best battlefield game to be ever released by dice. This game is an example of how well developers put their time and effort; and I highly recommend purchasing this game.

Game worked fine for a period of time, now refuses to launch even after a fresh windows install. If I could actually keep playing the game, I would recommend it. However, I cant recommend this game as it stands, because your access could be gone at any given time.

It seems to have to do with EA AntiCheat software not functioning properly.

I'm a Battlefield fan and here's what I can say.
This is the best Battlefield ever made. Enjoy it while you still can - the servers are still alive and kicking and it’s unlikely we’ll ever get anything better. This game is a legacy and a farewell from the old DICE.
As we've seen what came after is mostly unplayable, clown-tier trash.

P.S. Just a piece of advice: Play on unofficial servers, because cheaters dominate on officials DICE servers. DICE don't care about their servers.

Today I have played Battlefield 1, I played Battlefield 1 yesterday too. I wish to play Battlefield 1 tomorrow too. Although the game makes me rage, and sometimes commandos in the opposing team make me rage, I still wish to play Battlefield 1 forevermore. I do not want to return to the real world. I do not want to face my responsibilities. This does not mean I will not face my responsibilites. It only means I do not want to face them. I wish that real world did not exist. I wish that humans did not evolve to such intellect. Truly an extension of evolution. I would rather I had not come into existence, for now I do not truly enjoy living nor I want to quit, for I am too spiteful to quit now.
I hope that one day it all means something, I hope that I may come to realize the true beauty of life.
My life is not one of ruin or hatred or despair or suffering. It simply continues without any purpose. To study to earn the right to work to earn the right to live to earn the right to work to earn to right to live to earn the right to work to earn the right to reproduce to earn the right to die. Happiness amongst the suffering in between is what drives us forward. However what could be the point of happiness? Is happiness worthy of being one's goal. Do goals even exist or are they just our distraction from the dreadful existence of ours. I believe as such. However, my thoughts do not matter, for what purpose immortalizing a thought serves? A data center in a foreign country continents away from mine gets bombed in a world war born of insignificant human disagreement. There, my idea is gone. For what purpose am I writing this passage? To impress random strangers online? To waste their time? To ragebait them into leaving hateful comments? To find like minds to reverberate their feelings? What does it matter. It is all just pointless philosophy. Nothing changes the fact that I have to do my assignments. That I have to face my responsibilities. I believe in my mind that there is a god up there. For I do not want this life to be of complete nonsense nature. I just want to play Battlefield 1, without getting killed across the map. I want to play Battlefield 1 without getting numb in the head. I want to play Battlefield 1 without worrying about my responsibilities. Why? I just do.
One day I will die, and when that day comes I will not be able to avenge the time I have lost to conventional extravagance such as work, assignments, exams, heartbreaks, hate and so much more. I will just die. Will there be darkness or light? It does not matter so long as I live. I just hope that I will have helped people by then. For whatever purpose helping people serves I suppose.
I wish I wasn't so insufferable. I can't even stand myself, no wonder others can't either.

To make this review not completely useless:
This game is a casual multiplayer sandbox fps that excels in delivering an immersive experience. For me the reason this battlefield surpasses other titles is the fact that it gives you the motivation of some younglings fighting for their homeland. To win in this game, teamwork is essential as the performance of your team as a whole will decide the outcome of the battle. Even though some higher quality players may stack on a certain side to guarantee victory and farm kills, the game's true enjoyment comes from balanced firefights with both sides pouring their all into the battle. Enter the Battlefield.

Amazing game, not too difficult on hard mode but just perfect! Only has older artillery tanks and weapons etc etc

Para ser un juego que tiene casi 10 años, está bastante bien.

Tiene dos partes esto: la campaña y el multijugador. Vamos primero con la campaña. Me gusta el formato de contar varias historias cortas, que muestran los distintos frentes de la Guerra. Si bien no hay ninguna historia descollante, todas son medianamente interesantes, y las cutscenes todavía se ven de lujo una década después. Lo flojo de la campaña es que casi todos los niveles terminan en lo mismo: Hay un área llena de enemigos, y vos por tu cuenta tenés que limpiarla, ya sea de manera sigilosa o no. Ahí se pierde un poco el sentido de tener tantas historias distintas, porque todas se terminan jugando igual. Otro punto flujo es la IA. Es muy mala. Es tan mala que no presenta un desafío y hace que limpiar un área de enemigos no sea realmente satisfactorio. Es cierto que, en total, la campaña es corta, ¿quizás un poquito demasiado? Se nota que esta no es la prioridad, y más que nada está para cumplir.

El multijugador es otra historia. Antes que nada tengo que mencionar que a pesar de ser un juego ya entrado en años, sigue habiendo varios servidores BR llenos de jugadores, por lo que no es problema encontrar una partida con buen ping. Ahora, al juego en sí. Y la verdad que es muy bueno y se nota que todo el esfuerzo se puso acá. Es caótico, masivo, intenso, pero también estratégico y lineal. Las partidas pueden durar hasta 40 min, y no se hacen pesadas en ningún momento (siempre y cuando haya paridad entre los equipos). En líneas generales, es una experiencia multijugador muy disfrutable. Una cosita más que me gustó mucho es el diseño visual del juego. El HUD, los gráficos, el sonido, me encanta el tono más sútil que tiene en este juego, comparado con otros de la época.

Muy recomendado comprarlo si lo encuentran de oferta.

One of the best, if not the best Battlefield game to date! With its only plausible rival being the previous installment of Battlefield 4 there are no other games of the Battlefield franchise that are up to par with this masterpiece! The graphics, visual effects, audio and the chaotical multiplayer gameplay really put the scale of how dedicated the developers were on immersing players into the large scale warfare of The First World War! Other than the great multiplayer, there is also a short, but interesting singleplayer, expressed through different "War Stories", which not only show the player basic mechanics of gameplay, but also paint a picture of how horrifying The First World War was. On the other hand, when it comes to downsides of this game, there are barely any. The biggest being the party system, which refuses to work most of the time, though its something you can definitely look through! All in all, I thoroughly recommend this game to everyone that is looking for immersive, yet fun and action-packed gameplay! Though, get it on a sale, as you can pay even less than $5/5€!

A beautifully crafted FPS, as much as I like BF5, this definitely is the last actual Battlefield game to this day.

Surprisingly, for a multiplayer-oriented game, the campaign is done quite nicely and features various interesting locations along with basic stories from the era. Visuals are amazing, the game is able to show completely opposite locations and still make it immersive, going from Italian mountains to Turkish sands and German-French trenches. Story is being played from multiple perspectives, such as tanker, pilot and a ground soldier. It might be the only Battlefield in which I can confidently advise to play the campaign, even if one isn't necessarily into the series. Campaign also offers a fair bit of challenges, some of which require different approaches to the same missions, which is cool and good for replay value. Luckily, contrary to BF4, missions can be chosen via select, no need to play the whole story again.

Locations mentioned before could never be as good without the absolutely perfect music, various songs enhance the experience. The great thing is, those songs are still played in the background of the multiplayer/UI, so you can listen to them endlessly :)

Gameplay is outstanding, although balance is a bit random compared to BF4, some guns definitely feel underpowered. All new gadgets and special vehicles add a lot of possible scenarios, which make multiplayer much more enjoyable and less repetitive. Maps are also beautiful and well crafted, especially city-based ones, but I do think they were made mostly for operations and lose a lot of momentum in regular conquest.

It's a must-play for any FPS enjoyer.
