This game is super fun!
The one gripe I have with it is that there's, like, only one track in the game and it's driving me insane.
This is a platformer game where you have a grapple for moving around—and you need to be fast, then faster, and even faster. It’s ridiculously fun, no other way to put it. Just buy it.
after finally beating it i can honestly say... there are two levels that need to be easier
other than that its an amazing movement shooter. the physics are great and a great story.
Extremely fun. It's the kind of game where you can fail 100 times in a row, yet it never gets frustrating.
If you love fast movement, grappling hooks and the neon sythnwave art style, then this game is a must. The movement is fluid and smooth complementing the fun, open ended level design that lets you take shortcuts and choose your own path. If you don't like the time requirements of completing levels you can always just chill in the lobby and get insane amounts of speed and learn the movement of the game.
Sadly their are some downsides of Cyberhook. First is the story, it's just mid and nothing special about it with the game just ending abruptly would be nice to fight the villain . Also levels that are just long enclosed corridors are annoying and limiting on the player in movement and I think they shouldn't be in the game (thankfully their are like 5 of these levels).
Great level design (except for 4-5 really annoying ones) and really nice graphics, even for a few simple rectangles, the story is garbage but overall it's worth the ~2€ on sale
Oh this game is excellent! It's a parkour/platformer game with very simple controls but boy is the movement fun, and THAT's what I love about good platforner games. It really makes you feel the speed too!
+ Very simple controls, easy to pick up hard to master
+ The level design is quite minimalist yet leaves for many ways to clear each level and really rewards skill
+ You can look up and down ... SLIGHTLY BACKWARDS!! This is the first game I've seen where the vertical angle of camera goes beyond 180 degrees and I think more games should do this!
+ Very simple graphics and the colors tell you instantly if it's grabbable or not and if it kills you or not
- It's a bit rough on the edges and needs a bit polishing. Stuff like some characters like Q or ? not being the proper font, or a description still being a placeholder in the settings. Nothing that ruins the experience and that can't be fixed.
- leaderboard is weird and puts me in the USA despite being european lol
* Letting go of the rope not by releasing left click but rather hit space is unusual but thankfully you can change it in the settings.
* Music is good but might feel repetitive after a while (solution: mute and put some vaporwave mixes on youtube)
Super fun momentum-based speed challenges. Always better with a grappling hook. Only thing I didn't like were levels with super tight death corridors as those felt unnecessary and genuinely just rage bait. Overall a fun little time, go for those fastest scores!
Great game easy to learn, I finished the game in 3 hours and it reminded me of Ultrakill, make this game more popular so we get more base game levels
peak. there is no movement system in all of gaming better than grappling. momentum feels consistent and realistic, the time-slow mechanic is kind of redundant though.
I love this game this game is amazing I want my grand kids to thank the developer's grand kids and give them a handshake. Very nice game :D
This is such an absolutely easy yes. If it looks like it's for you, it is.
Do you like running super fast, double jumping, and grappling hooks? This game feels amazing to play even when you aren't doing crazy good, it's just so much fun sprinting and swinging around. And it goes on sale for like $2. What more could you want?
before you ask yes i have beaten all the levels but no i have not got 3 stars on all of them
i will say i really enjoyed the game and it was a good few hours, the level design was amazing the game play was fun and the graphics look beautiful
overall the game is fun and definitely a good time to get it when i write this as it is on sale, there is also a demo if your really on the fence (even if its only like £1.50 or so for both the game and DLC (just to touch on the DLC quickly, it was a fun DLC level wise but the boss at the end was not my forte (extra note on the boss, first and last phase was actually kinda fun IMO but the second phase was really annoying with it having like 4-5 stages with yes checkpoints but still was really draining (p.s this could also just be skill issue however so take my word with a grain of salt)))
Cyberhook is pure adrenaline! It's all about fast-paced parkour, grappling through neon-soaked levels with insane speed. The hook mechanics are super smooth, and chaining jumps, wall runs, and swings feels incredibly satisfying. Some levels are tough but fair, with a strong 'just one more try' vibe. If you love precision platformers and speedrunning, this game’s gonna keep you hooked for hours.
Barely even started but this game feels so underrated. The amount of personality put into the control set-up, the feel of love put into the community support, and the underwhelming number of users that seems to be filled with a number of talented individuals.
It feels like such a unique spin on the speed-running category and I felt myself get "hooked" on trying to perfect my ability to complete the first level. I was super pumped to see how easy it is to download and view the runs done by others to improve on your own time. No dilly-dallying and near instantaneous response. Aside from advertising the Discord channel, it truly feels like the creator(s) knew how to encourage growth and community in-game.
I know I will be putting more time into it when I can in the future. Sad to know that I could have started playing this earlier.
Love it. The movement is incredibly satisfying, fast paced, and fun. I like that for most levels, it's fairly easy to get 2 crystals, but you actually have to try to get the third most of the time. Some levels are extremely challenging, but extremely rewarding once you get it down.
Cyberhook is the kinda game you play when you want to have a casual gaming experience, with a high skill ceiling. very easy to get into, and its very fun to learn the controls and get better and better. I just wish there was different hub worlds, or as you progress through the game the hub world gets bigger and bigger. Its very fun to just swing around aimlessly and mess with the games very fun controls.
The levels are all short and simple, and will make you want to get better and better at them. I also like how you can see where you stand globally and in your country.
The story is very simple, which isnt a bad thing. This kinda game doesn't need an insane story.
If this game is on sale, its a must grab, or if your looking for a new game to master.
Pros: Fun gameplay, simple controls with a high skill ceiling, satisfying gameplay loop.
Cons: Music can get repetitive after awhile only two tracks in the game, Needs different or bigger hub world to refine skills or just mess around without any pressure on the player.

For less than 3 buck, i couldnt stop playing the game. It hit all the nostalgia buttons that i used to enjoy with mods in counter strike like surfing, hook, and bunny hopping. Simple fast paced puzzles, extremely rewarding when you get the mechanics down. And the game is always forcing you to learn how to use the dynamics in different ways. If i ever beat a level first try, i HAD to do it again anyways because it was just that fun for me. Any complaints i could have in lack of "story" or something is voided by how little i paid for it. Biggest thing i want is a restart key, if there is one and im just lazy,. then so be it.
This cost like 1 dollar on sale, and there's so much more levels in this game than I thought. Very worth imo. Plus, there's a workshop so there's as much content as we can make it. Reminds me of Verlet Swing if anyone remembers that.
Fun game overall, but as others have said, the last boss is buggy and just terrible in general. I actually had to reinstall the DLC twice just to get it to work - once to load its levels and another time to get the final boss level to load. Bad programming. It's a real shame because I worked pretty hard to get 3 stars on all the levels, but then the last boss ruined everything. Other than that I didn't have any issues, and the grappling mechanic is a lot of fun. I'd suggest waiting for a sale though - even I managed to 100% the entire game in under 10 hours (not counting the boss), and I'm not exactly the most mechanically skilled gamer out there.
8/10 for me, it's addictive, good replayability, good controls, & great difficulty alongside good design making, but the only thing that holds it back from being better is that the Numero Boss Fight does several terrible things, Sure, at some points it was a skill issue, but I don't like getting murdered by an attack that caused my last death, so it was like a spawn camp at some points, but there is no indication on what to do after you do the first part of the boss, & I had to look up a guide to understand what to do in the second half. But if you were to just fix up that glitch that can impact speedruns, & actually tell us what to do for the second part for Numero, this game would be 9/10

Surprisingly fun game and there is a lot of freedom for how you do a level with most of the different ways being faster than other ones which makes the levels fun to play as well as seeing how fast you can go in the game as well

An addicting, non-stop speed(run) extravaganza that "hooks" you in with it's artstyle. If you're fond of works like Cluster Truck and SUPERHOT, definitely give this one a try.

For $1.71 including the DLC, it is quite possibly the best deal you could get right now. Also, this is my first time playing these types of games and to me it is a 10/10

This game is really fun. The story is pretty mid, but the movement makes up for that.
the game is pretty fun, its a good alternative to neon white; its better in some ways worse in others, but the biggest change they need to make is adding in a friends leaderboard. tbh that was the biggest thing for neon white, my friend and i basically only raced against each other and it was super fun to one up each other consistently. competing against global times isnt that engaging compared to competing against your friend
