Aliens vs. Predator™

It is an old-school classic; if you are a fan of the alien and/or predator universes, then this game will be pretty good, even in 2024. Multiplayer is dead, but I do recommend everyone to try out the 3 part campaign as it does not overstay its welcome. I completed all three stories on nightmare in 9.6 hours. I recommend getting it on sale as you can grab it for under 5 dollars.

Game is a Great Style!
If you have never dived into the AVP world this game lets you become a mixture of all three main story lines that you would want to play as that you see in the movie, I remember playing this as soon as it came out and could not get enouph of it. I have always felt that some of the AVP games that came out were always just slapped together and hoped that people would buy it just for the sake of the title being Aliens V.S. Predator Plot. This is what delivered it, however as the ages passed so did the aspect of the game in. This is still something I would come back to, to keep playing.

In my opinion this game is well developed and has the player on the edge of their seat wanting to play more, now there is so many other games with this title. I would MOST definitely wait for sale just for the sake of how many titles there are for this type of game and the duration that this game has been out on the market.

I can only talk for the campaigns as I've not touched the multiplayer. The campaigns are still pretty decent, and hold up surprisingly well for a near 15 year old game. It straddles that line between a big budget AAA game and a lower budget title, but it's a good enough time. For £15 or less, go for it. There are worse games on here you can spend more money on.

Just like old times.. The campaign is actually amazing considering you have three stories which all play completely different. It is a bit old but I have a few mods installed that help out a bit 10/10

Old game from 14 years ago that I played on release on PS3 back then. Still fun and this time some servers and you can get rank ups from the player run ones on Steam so you don't have to queue for ages, so nice upgrade there. Only thing missing is the preorder skins for MP.

I installed the game and could not get it to launch. After spending an hour and finally getting it to start, it now crashes after killing the first enemy... I give up.

The game itself is fun, but the problem I have is that it won't launch. It was working fine for a bit, but then it just stopped working.

If you like Alien and/or Predator, you should play this. This is a solid game.

The game is a SHORT STORY playable by 3 factions : Humans , aliens and predators .
Since it's one of the older games most people will play it for the memories and it aged well for me .
Controls some find ' em funky but the controls once you change them to your liking they are fine.
Buy it on sale , dont buy it full price. !!!

Campaign's are pretty short, movements clunky, and the multiplayer is dead. However, if its on sale, and you have some time on your hand, it can be fun. For all its flaws it still lets you play as the alien and predator, which is pretty fun. Other than that, don't get it if its not on sale.

Way way better than Alien Isolation, worth 20-30$, maybe 50$ if you are rich, good actions, if you like alien isolation you Will probably definitely like alien vs predator

Used to be a fun game now steam cannot start the game. It gets stuck updating executable and nothing will solve this issue!!

This game might not be the best, but there is one thing that this game is good at. Being original. I have yet to see a game that pulls of the movement of the aliens this good, which makes this game even more favourable. I wish they would make another one.

A wonderful experence only issue is that the xenomorph movement is so nasue

This game from 2010 has really held up well. The controls and gameplay can be pretty janky at times, especially with both the Alien and Predator, but all in all this is a VERY SOLID AVP game. The plot and gameplay itself is pretty generic, and can be a bit cringy at times, but if you can look past that you are in a for A FUN couple of hours (since that's how long it takes to beat the entire story).

I would wait for this game to go on sale and when you do purchase and play it i would recommend:

Playing the Alien Campaign first
Playing the Predator Campaign Second
Playing the Rookies Campaign LAST

Also this game DOES SUPPORT CONTROLLERS. Just be wary because the controls themselves have not aged particularly well especially for the Alien (You will start to feel dizzy and nauseous after crawling up and down the walls for awhile).

Overall a must play for any Alien or Predator fan 7.5/10

Game is actually very good, and the campaigns are unlike anything else I have ever played. However this game either doesn't run or it crashes literally every 30-60 seconds on windows 11, even with compatibility settings and things changed. This was my favorite game for a long time, and now sadly I can't play it at all.

In Aliens vs Predator you play as zeta reticuli, Minecraft content creator, or how every Redditor sees themselves when they say "M'yeah, if I were in the universe of Alien..." Fun game, quite cheap, dead multiplayer. Remake/remaster this game IMMEDIATELY!

This is an amazing game with friends, solo game is good, but the jump scare of your buddies trying to kill you is priceless!

PLAY THIS GAME!

Been playing exclusively the campaigns which have been alot of fun! didnt realize till seeing an external video, but you can play as a xenomorph and yautja in this game!!
Problems do however arise if you dont have a mouse if you play PC, as you then WILL need to reconfigure the keyboard. Which would be find if the keyboard didnt get stuck with the first change you make.
Overall a very fun game!

"Aliens vs. Predator" is a thrilling multiplayer game that pits iconic sci-fi creatures against each other in intense and asymmetrical battles. Each species offers unique abilities and playstyles, making for a diverse and engaging experience.

A good early-2010s linear first person action-shooter, based of Aliens Vs. Predators universe and made by the same guys who worked on earlier AvP games (and later on Sniper Elite series), where it allows you to fully experience the Xenomorphs & the Yautjas with it's immersive sound design & atmospheric level design. It might show it's age and flaws here or there, but it's still has a fun gameplay with it's unique mechanics, that could give a fun experience in both single-player & multi-player (though it's best to play it with friends or with dedicated fanbase, as it's multiplayer popularity has been long gone). Marines are mid, though. Would recommend it!

The campaigns are mercifully short. I completed all three in about 7 hours on hard. They aren't necessarily bad, but they feel outdated even when compared to other games that came out around 2010. With that said, the atmosphere is excellent. If you are a fan of the Alien and Predator films, this game does a great job of making you feel like you are in this world.

The biggest drawback for me were the controls. They felt awkward the entirety of my time spent playing, especially the melee combat and when traversing with the alien. Aliens vs. Predator is a good example of bad glory kill implementation. When playing as the alien or predator, you're encouraged to grab stunned enemies and perform a cinematic kill. The animations for these look great but you are vulnerable to damage when you do this. If there are any enemies nearby and you start one of these kills, there's a decent chance you will be killed before the animation is finished.

Unfortunately, multiplayer appears to be abandoned. It seems like PvP is where this game could be most fun but I have missed my chance to experience that aspect.

As it stands, I would only recommend getting Aliens vs. Predator if you are fan of the films it is based on and if it is deeply discounted.

In lieu of actually getting AvP 2, this isn't terrible. Predator and Alien controls don't feel well, the M41 needs better accuracy, the boss fights are either lame or terrible, but it looks great, has the right atmosphere, and is still a lot of fun between those low points.

And the price is definitely right. Yeah, this is a pretty good game.

I don't know why but I still play this randomly. It is just......fun and still entertaining after playing it originally xbox for hours. Still fun all this time later.

A classic that I loved playing when I was younger, campaigns are fun and cool to see how each story connects with each other as you progress further. Multipayer on the other hand you need to find go to the game's community hub if you want to find players to get some achievements.

i cant really speak for anybody else but i love this this game always will come back to this xenomorph game and think it deserves a remake. Personally the Alien story is my favorite its always been fun to crawl on walls and stab people in the back from the shadows otherwise the rest of the 2 story's which are Predator and Marine are fun too and have their own unique playing style, only thing is i'm sad its short for the chapters/story but all the while worth playing. would for sure recommend this game if your looking for a nice firstperson alien/slasher game

Go pirate AVP 2, go buy classic, this game is the reason we will never get another avp game. Its the worst trappings of the 7th generation of games wrapped in a disappoint box, soaked in urine. No wonder Rebellion just makes the Sniper Elite games now. Oh and those zombie game i care so little about that i refuse to look up its name.

Beautiful campaigns, miserable multiplayer tho. Only get it for the singleplayer tbh lol multiplayer is horrendous.

Game is good, that is all. It's one of the only unique games that allow you to play as the Alien and predator, including marines as well. Sadly it is a very old game, and prob won't ever be getting a remake, but it has nice combat, and has multiplayer, only issue is...IT'S A DEAD GAME, but they still have an active community. Plus it also has a campaign. So if you are not into the whole "Fighting against other players" You can just play the stories for both Alien, Predator, and Marines. Give it a try tho, you might like it if you are really into Aliens, and want to play as them. Some are easier then the others to play as.

Good atmosphere, nice shooting, graphics stand up well for its time.

I always had a soft spot for this game. loved the marine campaign. I hope we get another aliens game like this one day with updated visuals and modern gameplay

This is one of the games that will probably never get old. You can play as member of all three factions, every with its own combat style and a great touch is how their stories intertwine.

When it comes to online play, you really can´t go wrong. You can choose between three classes:
Marine, Alien Or Predator.

If you like living with constant dread that someone or something is following you, then Marine is for you.
If you like making people live with constant dread, following them until you eventually end their misery. Then Alien is for you.
If you like striking fear into children and men alike, you are either Dr Disrespect, or any other minecraft youtuber, then the predator is for you (Oh wait.)

There is also a brilliant, fun, and horrifying single player campaign, (horrifying if you play as the marine).
All in all.
Good game.

This brings me back. I had this game on my Xbox 360 way back when and I always played the Alien and Predator campiagns, never really cared for the marine one though, haven't been played yet but I will eventually.
