Beat your inner demons without attacking them, in this extremely difficult platformer about how grief changes one's perception of the world.
Overcome is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer.
It has fluid platforming mechanics that allow you to evade, block and fight various enemies. Enjoy fast paced and timing sensitive jumping to navigate the landscape of grief.
Use a shield that lets you block, deflect, and glide over enemies, obstacles and challenges as your inner demons attack you in several different ways.
You will die. A lot.
Enjoy (or rage at) four extremely challenging levels that will have you dying multiple times before you can overcome them. But you will. Maybe.
Beat foes drawn in a simple, yet expressive pixel art style, and leave them behind, alive or dead.
Treat your ears to an emotional melody.
Enjoy a beautiful soundtrack, composed with an extremely personal and heartfelt message in mind, a message that is expressed throughout the game, with metaphors.

I'm coming back to this game after forgetting about it and it truly is a beautiful game that deserves giving a good play.

I enjoyed this game, but I wouldn't call it extremely difficult. This game is maybe medium-difficult. I don't know if maybe I just found it easy, but $10.99 is a high price for a game that only lasts an hour and a half. I can see in other users comments how long they spent on the game. Some people spent an hour in total game play and others spent longer than 24 hours. I still recommend this game for people who like a challenge, but it might not be as difficult as you would want it to be. You should look up some game play online to see if it's a good game to you.

Great little platformer that is challenging but never annoying.
10.99 does seem a tiny bit high...
Short, but very fun. I never felt like I died to poor game design, it always felt like a mistake on my part which made dying a motivator to keep playing and get better instead of just alt-f4'ing. Overall, a very enjoyable game!
Not often a fan of platformers but i can say with genuine honesty this game gave me a feeling of enjoyment that not even the "top" games can provide. Being a well balanced game with quite a difficult rage enhancing game mechanic (in a fun way) has really brought me merriment. The underlying meaning of the game i also found to be very deep and really helps and encourages the player onward. Overall i highly recommend this game and to any that are considering purchasing please i urge you for your own sake give it a go its definitely worth it. Indulge yourself in happiness. <3
