Would I recommend this game? Hell no.

Recently the devs released an announcement to try a demo of the NEW GAME they are working on, except the original game Kebab Chefs is being tossed aside for a quick cash grab. Like it's called "Kebab" Chefs, yet the game has very little to do around this and a whole mess of unbalanced foods into the mix, boring mini games and a lack of effort overall in the game.

Until the developers work on the game they promised all of us would be finished, I highly recommend NOT buying this game. Furthermore the game is pretty buggy and doesn't look like any of these are to be addressed anytime soon since each "Update" features nothing good for the people who bought the game.

Like a restaurant review i'd give this game 2/10 stars. Trash.

Multiplayer DOES work. I've played over 40 hours with someone, never disconnected once.

It's NOT "almost unplayable" due to bugs. There are some bugs for sure, but in 40 hours, nothing has been gamebreaking.

There's simply a lot of bad reviews by people who are far too critical about a game that's in EA.

Ok, this deserves a review. I give it a 9 out of 10.

This game is absolutely a lot of fun to play with a friend. I haven't played solo at all so all of this opinion is from a 2 player experience. If you have a friend or partner, gf/bf, etc then this is a very good restaurant co-op game and you should stop reading and get a copy for both of you.

I have a gaming friend and I kept saying "I'm going to find us a cooking game." One that wasn't just a restaurant sim, and one that wasn't just a cooking sim. I looked at all the cooking games on Steam, and this one with a bit of a goofy name caught my eye. I'm glad it did.

We got to design a restaurant and design the menu based around recipes that you unlock as you level up. All of the ingredients are "tangible", like you need to pick up a salt shaker to use the salt, pick up the burger bun and slice it; everything needs to be picked up and handled which lends to a real tactile cooking game. It's quite fun.

There are some Early Access bugs for certain, but if you roll with it, it's nothing game-breaking.

After you open your restaurant, there's a series of Food Critics who get attracted to your place after you've served the required number of items they need you to do before they show up. There's 7 Critics now, and I think 3 more are planned. The progression is actually fun. Day after day, you run service, clean up, pay your staff, and your skills level up for the next day.

All I can say is it's a very fun co-op cooking and restaurant game that has exceeded both of our expectations. Even in it's current state, if you have a friend you like to game with and you both like cooking, this games a massive slam dunk!

BONUS: We havent even tried the "Masterchef" mode of the game where you compete against each other. It's gonna be a showdown, lol.

Multiplayer doesn't work :(

Only played 30 minutes of this game and it was extremely bugged so I am refunding. The female characters eyebrow selection does not work at all (male eyebrow selection was working for the person i was playing with) and I had an issue with the shoe selection as well. When starting up a multiplayer game the "Dad" npc is bugged for whoever is not hosting the game. You can only somewhat interact with him. Phone doesn't stop ringing unless you walk over to the radio in the restaurant and change the music playing..? It will tell you to buy items, the counter tops, but when you go to buy said items it tells you it's not allowed because it's the tutorial which I am assuming it was only telling me that because I was the one not hosting. There were one or two more things I didn't enjoy/annoyed me. Needs work, I can see it being a good game but not at this time in my opinion.

Since the last update fixed most of the bugs it is now playable. Worth the money....

Full of Gamebreaking Bugs and they already annouce the next Cash-Grab Game.
Seems like Devs dont care about this Game anymore. Watch out so you dont get scammed.

Game has come quite a ways since purchase. I enjoy the regular updates and especially their road map for this year. Assuming they are able to get through all of the things on their list, the playability and enjoyment will skyrocket.

Fun enough as is, glitches and all, but absolutely looking forward to what's to come.

The game is suitable for those who like to role-play the cooking business. You can play alone or with friends. But there is a problem that the game has been out for a year, I hope the publisher will actively fix the game's serious errors such as save games and customer bugs.

There is alot to say about what went wrong with this game. Here are a few of the disappointments.

• Core features of the game like placing objects in the apartment or the kitchen are very buggy and sometimes wont even place
  
• The development goals of the dev team have been missed consistently and the updates that do come out add very little gameplay value

Crazy complex and challenging, Love it!!

This game is immersive and fun, but when i tried to pour a little soup back into the pot it freaked out. if i look away took fast when placing something it ends up not where i chose it to be. And table snapping is super finicky and annoying, i cant tell where I'm supposed to look for the big tables, it just stays red an occasionally snaps opposite what i want for a split second, its very sensitive.

funn coop game, still buggy but playeble and fun

Don´t and I repeat DO NOT buy this game under any circumstances!

While it started out to be a fun coop game, it´s currently broken beyond repair. For almost a year now, my friends and I can´t finish a single game and every single time they claim to have fixed something, it just breaks even more. I am not even exaggerating! After every patch, we want to believe that it might work now, but no. Since last summer, we still can´t finish a single day after booting it up, without the game crashing for someone, the recipe not working, something getting stuck or some other issues. Literally, NOT A SINGLE DAY! Absolutely disappointing after the fun we had at the start. We give up....

I am beyond disappointed with this game. Multiplayer is so bugged. Every time i pick this up with a friend its unplayable. This is my first bad steam review and i really see so much potential in this game. I really want to love it but its very hard to when every time you try and play its too broken. This isn't a new game, i understand its still early access but i expect some of these problems to be fixed.

Get some friends and play this, it's super fun! As of writing it's still early access and we encountered a few bugs like dishwashing and placing things not working - solved by re-hosting. No game-breaking bugs so far

Apparently when I add the correct items to the chicken soup. And serve. It says in missing lemon juice? I've added the correct water, chicken, chicken broth and lemons.

Fun simple cooking game with support for co-op play. A few weird things here and there but as this genre of games stands, this is surprisingly one of the best available.

its very good i like the thing that you can just go out and buy what you need not like you have it all already. I totally recommend it for others

Hey! Only been playing for an hour or so, but i keep on encountering a glitch. Every time I enter the Blackjack table, I can't exit. It might be a skill issue, but i just cant figure out how to get out. I end up having to just teleport back home, which works, but is annoying.

While I WILL say I think this game is very fun, it is VERY buggy, and I ONLY recommend you play it if you are willing to reset every now and then and suffer through some trial and error with minimal tutorial. I, for the life of me, cannot make soup by following the recipe. Something always separates, usually the butter. I've tried everything. Luckily, I have the option of just not serving soup, which is fine.

The graphics are what I would call the "Cute" range. Not a lot of lagging or clipping, but man, the mechanics in this game REALLY need a workover. Its pretty rough fumbling with items and organizing shelves.

finally a game where i can be carmy and stress myself out over a menu i have full control over, yell at the dish boy for being nosy as i chop my meat, and let my ocd shine without dumb coworkers messing up my system. would say better with friends, but im a control freak and find it soothing to do everything myself

oh man this is so buggy. The phone won't stop ringing (so annoying), the instructions are damn unclear, and the dish-washing near sink takes too many tries to pop up for the option to wash. I kept putting dirty tray basket into the sink again and again, wash option showed up after 5 tries?

I'll ask for refund from steam.

I love this game! It's really fun and goofy with friends!

✔️ I enjoy the progression you get!
✔️ I enjoy how fun multiplayer can be ( especially playing with people that can't cook )
✔️ Having accessable menu's to be able to make different things are always really nice to have!

❌ There are a LOT of very weird bugs to do with multiplayer that sometimes brick the game in ways that confuse the hell out of me. ( Moving the serving trays sometimes glitches dishes and makes them rot when they aren't existant on others screens )
❌ de-sync issues happen frequently when playing which leaves a LOT of confusion!
❌ Later on in the game you get so much money that unlocking every single item in the game is as simple as cooking 9 dishes in a single day. With four people on your team, that's quite an easy thing to do. Me and my friends went from 14k - 50k in a single day.
❌ A lot of the chef's orders are confusing and left us having to turn to reddit to understand what to do.
❌ The way a lot of the cooking orders are worded confuse me a lot personally. "Cook for 30 seconds" doesn't make sense because the chicken doesn't get cooked at all in that time. If I cook for literally 30 seconds, I get told I am "undercooking". If I took for the full duration I am "overcooking".


overall, I enjoy this game a LOT and I'm really excited for the future updates!!

Kebab Chefs is phenomenal! I've been playing KC for almost a year and always had fun. But the most important
thing is: This game has the best developers. They actually listen to their players. Forget microtransactions,
"balance changes" and "long awaited functions"(Looking at you EA and Ubi) We get updates we want. May it be a large update with new content or a quality of life update where they finally make double doors open in the same direction, they deliver. So to all the devs, thank you folks I love this game!
