We spend an incredibly large amount of time sitting in front of our computer. We perform all sort of tasks, but every time we move from one task to another, we come back to the same, immobile, dull desktop. That’s why sometimes it’s good to twist things a bit, and have a lively bunch hang out around your computer screen.
It’s all about the good company. These friends will be there to cheer you up while working on that neverending excel file, will make you think twice before replying to your boss’ angry email, will drive positive thoughts to your mind on a cloudy day. Missing your cat at the office? Here’s a tiger that won’t split your coffee mug on your keyboard. Need a friend but you can’t stand hugs? Here’s a cute short-armed t-rex who’s unable to hug. Got the green thumb but you live in a basement? Here’s a tree, two trees, three trees! Keep focusing on the things you have to do while life goes on your desktop, you don’t have to worry about anything. Just… keep an eye on those robots, it’s not clear how they got there...
Select all the elements you want to bring to life on your desktop.
Once you are ready, click the "START" button and let the magic happen.
Now that your desktop is populated you can:
- Drag and drop each element holding the left mouse button to move it around
- Animate an element by double-clicking it
- Open an element’s control panel by right-clicking on it
The control panel allows you to rotate, resize,
duplicate, remove or change the depth of a single element.
Moreover, it’s possible to edit 4 features that will affect all the scenes:
- PERSPECTIVE CAMERA: simply change the camera view from orthographic to
perspective.
- FREE ROAMING: activating this feature will apply physics to all elements, which will then be free to ambulate around your desktop, and bite your icons off if they feel like it.
- NATURAL INSTINCT: when this option is on, nature starts taking its course and each animal becomes either hunter or prey. Studies are being conducted on robots to analyse the impact on their artificial intelligence.
- FUNNY MODE: top secret

great concept, difficult / kinda annoying / not-entirely intuitive execution. It's fun to play around with, but I feel like I spent a lot of time not getting the effect I'd hoped for. User error? maybe. if there's a way to add objects from multiple DLC packs, or add to an existing preset, or bring up the main menu without losing all progress you've made, or having to readjust a preset every time you load it, I haven't quite figured it out yet. I had fun, but didn't feel like I'd accomplished anything or spent my time as well as I could have doing something else similarly creative.

just something fun to do when you are bored {also i got this when it was free and now you need to give them money sooooo.....}
Looks great. Has potential. But. Can not go across multi screens. Only works on main screen. Need to include backgrounds. Only one animations pack active. Can not choose water creatures pack or other packs. Only animals are available . Don't know why.
its not what i was expecting.. I was expecting workshop items/customizeable items. Will repurchase when workshop support is added. also no multi monitor support which sucks.
You have to have Steam open as well as My Desktop.Its cute for a few minutes but gets in the way of gaming.I personally dont worry about resources as i have a well built PC. Not quite what i expected.
Should make it so u can have the app on a second monitor.
Pretty cute. I thought I would prefer the aesthetic pack but really I found the animals far more interesting. I now have two gazelles on my desktop. Their names are Bob and Charlotte. I love Bob and Charlotte.

this is a new version of an old idea i remember many programs similar to this in the 90's and early 2000's so i had to pick this up to give it a try im happy to see some one doing a modern version of this idea the program so far is fairly priced and fun to mess with its being worked on and things have already improved sense i got it
It is cute when it decides to work. From time to time it seems to not respond or freezes. It won't let me change the options like clicking on the animal roaming ect.. And why will it not show my desktop and incons like in the video? It just shows a black background. I think it needs more work.

I didn't notice it in the video/screenshots but the title bar is always visible and on top of other windows and their title bars. That is surely a deal breaker for anyone who runs apps full screen (even briefly) or wants to use their computer in any way.
All visual elements are always on top so they cover up what you're doing.
There also doesn't seem to be a way of saving the state, so each time you run the application, you start with a fresh slate and need to add/position/setup elements again and again. There is also no alpha blending done, so the edges of all the elements are pretty jaggy. Nice idea, bad implentation (so far)
I would like it out of my machine. It does not appear in my Library. Please remove and refund. It is awkwardly running in my system. Please refund.

I bought this for a discounted price (less than two bucks) just for fun, 'cuz i'm a simple man: i read "dinosaurs" = i buy stuff.
Well this is my first non-game in steam and i'm not disappointed at all. Just remember to turn it off during your pornhub session (i will never forget the judgment in the eyes of the tyrannosaurus rex)

Yes, cool, if you like these kinds of things. Doesn't take up much memory - around 33 MB, as far as I can tell. It's still a little buggy. Things don't always behave as you might think. Needs much more - should have an option to relocate the "header" bar or make it disappear perhaps. Should have an option for "always on top" or not. Not bad for a couple of bucks. Hope you develop it more ...
