As Tenshi is a high-spec girl, she can perform high-maneuver actions and super powerful attacks while maintaining her stylish composure.
- "Shoot", "Strike" and "Slash" your way through a variety of enemies!
- "Dodge" successfully to invoke "Spirit Grasping". Then counterattack!
- During Spirit Grasping you can control the "Weather" in your favor!
- Even if you take damage, no worries... Tenshi can "Auto Heal"!
- Destroy a Boss' "Amulet" to render them defenseless and release a hellish flurry of attacks!
- Use powerful table-turning "Spell Cards" to get out of prickly situations!
Unlock skills, increase the number of moves you can use and customize your shots and spell cards to your liking.

I'm very mixed on this game, so I think I'll just list off my pros and cons to make it easier. Though, overall, I'd say it's more good than bad, and generally one of the better Touhou fangames. Don't let my grievances discourage you from getting it, you might enjoy some of the stuff I didn't! (Does contain minor spoilers)
Aspects I enjoyed:
- The combo potential of Tenshi's moveset is probably the best part of the game. Combo's feel cool to land, though not being particularly difficult, but sometimes you do have to fight the enemy placement and weird positioning more than the actual enemies themselves. There's a good bit of variance and routes, so you can get pretty creative, ESPECIALLY for a side scroller.
- Pretty much all of the boss fights are highlights of the game. The difficulty did vary a lot, Nue being halfway through the game and being by far the hardest fight in my personal opinion, but even the easier fights are at least fun.
- The art and soundtrack are both great. The sprites looks amazing, and I love how they somewhat imitate the art of the early fighting games, in which Tenshi originates from. Though, one note, the character portraits can be kinda sexualized (not too crazy, mostly just some of the characters clothes seeming to be vacuum sealed to them), so if that is a turn off, I'd look out for it.
Aspects I disliked:
- The game doesn't really tell you squat on what you're supposed to do a lot of the time. It's not the worst, it does kind of nudge you in the right direction sometimes (though said nudges very in effectiveness), but it never really naturally points you in the right direction. It kind of just assumes you read through the notes and understood them perfectly, and by the end of the game it's not to bad, but the start can be rather confusing.
- The level design varies HEAVILY. Sometimes it feels great to go through, but other times it will hit you with offscreen enemies, weirdly tight platforming, and terrible enemy placement. I wouldn't really consider the game that hard, but it can be a pain to get through at points.
- The systems could really use some work. Primarily referring to the weather system, but the combat system could use some work too. It mostly feels great, but certain things like the sword and dash being tied to the same cooldown, the projectile being the same button as the melee's can be really wonky, and the spirit gauge feels like it doesn't really need to exist. Back to the weather, it's a cool mechanic, but can be really annoying due to it being tied down to enemies. Sometimes it's used in an interesting way, but sometimes it feels very intrusive. It's nice when its only every once in a while and the puzzle is actually cool, but a lot of the time it just feels like "oh great its weather time again".
You just found a hidden gem of a game congrats.

Combat feels great, movement is fine.
The level design sometimes feels a bit shit and can be a little aggravating, though it's mostly good; the boss fights, however, are incredible.
Handedly worth the money.
Throws hordes of enemies at you. Way too many to handle. This game would be much better if it was just the boss fights.
EDIT: This shit just gets worse and worse. The fifth boss takes upwards of 10 minutes to kill, simply because it's impossible to break for most phases (which also means most of your spellcards won't work). It's one of the worst bosses I've ever seen in my 30+ years of gaming.
Go play Gravity Circuit or the Mega Man Zero collection instead.
Really wanted to like this game but have to give up on it. The killing point was the difficulty being too random at one of the bosses. I'm all for challenges, and have enjoyed quite a few Touhou games, but this boss was overly just RNG with not enough patterns that you could work at and master. Paired with the messy control scheme and and spell setup, it got very meh. The later levels just got annoying. Whats worse, at one point it took me an hour of guessing to figure out what even to do.
A lot also went right though: The art and flashy moves are super dope! Music is good enough. Overall theme and feel is awesome! If any cleanup occurs, I'd give this game another shot in a second.
A fun inspired game from the touhou universe.
Story:
Tenshi was on the trail of someone when she knocked from the heavens. And so, she goes to try and stop what is happening. Along the way, she is met by individuals. Some accusing her for the earthquakes, and as it goes along. She faces those challenges as she tries to make it back above. A rather simple plot, but quite good when it goes into motion. And as it goes along, it wraps into her part in it, and gets deeper and exciting.
Battle System:
It is a mix of a shooter and close range combat. Combining these two, you are to take advantage of the weather elements to make use of Tenshi's many abilities. The weather effect can be triggered by dodging, and then quickly hitting the enemy with her sword. The boss battles now, these are the high points. It is five parts long, with fast gameplay. The game makes use of a great combo system, with its various functions to bring out the excitment.

Overall:
This is an amazing game, and you don't even have to be a fan of touhou. This game manages to combine multiple elements to draw out its impressive system.

It's a platformer-action game with boss sections, customisation and upgrades and unlockable boss rush - totally recommend!
This game might be my new favorite Touhou fangame, its so good. The controls took a while to get used to, but once you get them, they feel so good. The soundtrack is amazing, the story is amazing, the bossfights are amazing, the spritework is amazing, everything about this game is amazing. This game is not as accesible to non-Touhou fans as something like Touhou Luna Nights, since the story directly references some events of official Touhou games, but if you're only in it for the gameplay and arent trying to follow the story, I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes action platformers.
Its a nice Touhou game, it expects the player to learn by himself. And if they don't they die over and over. However when you realize the movements and skills, it feels really rewarding. Approved.
Very good action platformer with Touhou characters. The translation leaves a little to be desired, though. Some things about the game's mechanics feel a bit opaque as well. but still very fun! The boss fights are really cool too.

This is a really, really nice adventure platformer with a very nice unique action twist to the mechanics. Your player character, Tenshi, has a number of shot types at her disposable for ranged attacks but the real beauty comes in with the Sword of Hisou and the dodge mechanics.
Perfectly timed evasion leaves your opponent open to an improved sword strike which activates certain Weather Manifestation effects, depending on what you attack. These effects are used to improve your abilities and also used to traverse some of the more dangerous areas that you will encounter on your journey to find the cause of the mysterious earthquakes that are endangering the earth.
I played this for around 6 hours, though my clear file said around 3.
There's a nice challenging boss rush mode after completion of the game which sees you facing the bosses from the main game in sequence with no retries - very fun.
Boss fights in this game are where all the player abilities truly shine, with a solid mixture of bullet hell mechanics and melee combat.
I personally was reminded of Summon Night Swordcraft Story for the GBA a few times while I was playing some of these boss fights.
Very enjoyable game overall, I can recommend that you play this. It's worth every penny.
I have to admit I didn't expect much, I thought it would be an easy platformer that would take me a few hours to clear, but it turns out it's a lot more challenging than I expected.
What I love about this game is it being challenging yet somehow also forgiving. Your health regenerates after a while, and you can take several hits before dying. Probably because Tenshi is a celestial.
If you love 2D platformers, buy this.
If you love Touhou, buy this.
If you love Tenshi, definitely buy this!
This is genuinely one of the best Touhou games I've ever played.
A 6-level action packed platformer where you play as Tenshin, beating enemies left and right with crazy combos, controlling the weather and just rampaging through everything.
The mechanics are not straight-forward, but after some deaths you start to get the hang of it. The platforming is... serviceable, though it can be bother line frustrating in some parts.
The boss fights are one of the games strongest points. Every boss has 4 to 5 spell cards that you need to figure out the best way to beat them and the OST that accompanies them is just Touhou Music at its best.
I think the thing that surprised me the most was how good the story is. It pretty much follows on the events of Touhou Scarlet Weather Rhapsody and is sort of a redemption arc for Tenshi, the main "villain" of that game... but not in the way that you would expect. The ending is heart-warming and made me like Tenshin as a character a lot more.
The only downsides are the game being too short for how good it is, with no extra boss (though there is a boss rush mode) and the totality of Stage 5. There are so many weather abilities that just show up for this level and that more often than not leave you asking "what does this power do, and how can it help me progress?" (The infinite dash is one of them, how the hell was I supposed to figure out you could dash forever with a certain weather power?).
I love this game. The story, the combat, the bosses, the ost, everything is really damn good!
If you are a fan of Touhou I would def. recommend it.
Very fun game, albeit quite short. My blind playthrough took me the three hours of game time I have on it. The music is good, and the bosses are fun. The weather manipulation mechanic is neat, but most of the weather options serve no purpose. Same with the moves, lots of options, but many aren't very useful. Overall, great if you're a fan of the Touhou series, solid 7/10
Superb 2D platformer with Touhou's signature bullet hell element.
This game is quite pacey as you dodge just in time you can "see through" enemies weaknesses and do burst damage.
On top of that, defeating different enemies with the heaven sword after seeing through them, you could gain buffs and benefits. Platforming require players to do precise control and make good use of the seeing through system.
The mechanism is really well-thought-out.
You can change fighting styles (Joy ,Ire, Woe, Ease) depends on circumstances..
You can customise each style with multiple options for projectiles and ults which suit you best.
Boss fights are intensive because bosses change in every phase.
You need to observe the characteristics of every phase as opponents' fighting styles might change drastically! Not just playing skillfully but also smartly.
This games strikes a perfect balance between melee combat and bullet hell.
They're equally important here. If you like both, this game is a must!!
Leveling is decent, there are multiple ways to get to the goals. It really depends on the play style.
but I don't like Chapter 5 as the whole level is filled up by "the magic balls". Variety on enemy design is truly lacking.
Everything else is great.
It's not a great experience, but for a weekend that you don't have much to do at home, it's fine, especially if you're a Touhou fan. The music is good, the pixel art of the characters is beautiful and with many movements, but the design of the levels is quite boring, it is the weakest thing that has, little inspiring, some platforms to jump and thats all, without much detail in the background . His forte is the battles with the bosses, like every Touhou game. And the story is quite simple, at the level of any game in the saga.
First thing first, I enjoy it. Really. The game is so much fun
The game mechanic is plenty to mess around about. Like they said, got a range of skill that you could obtain to mess around your combo attacks, a spirit grasp mechanic which is used a lot in the fights, a weather mechanic that used for puzzles. The music is enjoyable, enough to keep you company throughout the game. The controls are rather hard to get used to, but not too hard, I think someone who got experience with SWR/Soku from the original series should manage to master it pretty easily. The graphic and animation is great too, pretty well made. The only bug I notice is just when you first launch the game, it will be still in Japanese eventho it was set to english. If this happen, just quit and relaunch it again, that should fix it. The story itself is nice, but I don't fancy the last boss as much as the other bosses.
This is one of the few Touhou-related games I have played, and honestly, for what it's worth, it's a pretty good experience.
The best experience is probably - well, best, if you play a few of the Touhou games before this, but... This is pretty fun!
It was tough to get used to the controls at first, but after a few hours of practising and grinding at stage 3 (you'll find out why, trust me), but all in all, it's an enjoyable package which defines and boosts the original experience.
You want bullet hell 'and' fighting game? Oh boy, have I got news for you! I haven't finished the game (at the final boss - I'm working on it), but - darn. Best first purchase I've made.
Fun gameplay, good looking spritework, great soundtrack, this game is definitely worth your time. You don't even have to be a Touhou fan to enjoy it. The controls are solid once you get used to them and the game is challenging, but not impossible.
As a Touhou fan, I am really happy about all these Touhou games getting onto Steam.

Also, Lunatic Mode makes the game a rage/love scenario
There are very few Touhou fangames that mean so much to me that I would buy them again just to honour their localization to Steam and the west. Tenjou no Tempest is one of them.
It's an exquisite, furious action game. The attacks you use feel extremely impactful and the lighting effects are beautiful. Production value is very high for a fangame and the screen-filling bullet patterns during bosses create a level of grandeur without being unfair.
The central game mechanic is weather effects. Dodging shortly before an enemy attack connects makes the foe prone to a sword strike. When landed, you receive a weather effect that comes with a buff. The exact workings of it depends on the type of enemy that attacked you. The English translation helps a lot here when it comes to deciding which buffs you want and how to utilize their various effects. Some are even used to solve crafty little weather puzzles, like putting out fires.
There's also a shop to unlock new attacks in exchange for score, adding a system of growth and experimentation. That makes the gameplay even deeper and more involving on top of everything else.
Entry difficulty is moderate. While the playtime of story mode is relatively short with about 3 hours for your first playthrough, there is a Lunatic Boss Rush you can unlock that will probably take you ages to complete. That one is exceptionally difficult and meant for perfectionists.
Another great fan made game in Touhou universe. The heroine is Tenshi, gameplay is great, challenge is there and music is great as well.
Gameplay: It plays like standart platforming + beat-em-up + shooter mix, but with a few gimmicks. Most intresting of them is Tenshis ability to change weather; might be tricky to understand it at first but game kinda forces you to learn and utilise this technique, it's not really that complicated and actually a lot of fun. Aside from that nothing really difficult or complicated. Simple yet challenging fun, just like we love it in Touhou games.
Story: So earthquakes are happening, Iku allied with Yukari and Tenshi was thrown on eart loosing much of her power. That's the premise, and if you want to know the rest, well just buy the game. Plot is not complicated, but much fun. Again very Touhou.
Music: great remixes!
Overall 7 out of 10 in my opinion. Right there with Dissapering of Gensokyo and Scarlet Curiosity. Thanks dev for brining this game for us to enjoy.
