No brainer to get this game for that price.

Another satisfying 'busy work' game with a coat of humour.

Most of this game has you exploring areas, searching for items to loot for your shop and clicking on random trash for money. Its not very exciting gameplay and yet somehow the process of upgrading your shop and collecting items to assemble is satisfying.

Selling items to customers is annoying and after a while I stopped haggling with them as the time wasn't worth the small gains on cheaper items. Some customers will never buy above asking price so you learn to turn them away and accept any offer above asking.

The game does have a sense of humour although it isn't very sophisticated.

The graphics were fine, and I never had any crashes.

From what I can see the DLC looks to be poor value, but the base game was good for a short playthrough and didn't overstay its welcome.

game quite litterally does not work as of now. you will get a black screen. many other players have the same problem. its not even specs.

The game isn't funny but it tries really hard to be, it's actually pretty unfortunate. If randomness or elementary school is your type of humor then you'll love it. For example, you'll sell an item and the customer is going to perform some sort of Fortnite dance. The redneck vibe could have been way better with actual funny dialogue. It feels cheap and doesn't hit. There is also a level where you can choose to be scared, but there was no actual scary gameplay just decorations and a character walking away. It all feels very strange in a game that otherwise would be pretty decent. You can tell there are some devs that put a lot of extra details and mechanics in the game, but it's as if the talent was mismanaged or they couldn't agree on what kind of game to make.

The core gameplay would make this game easily worth $5-10, definitely an interesting simulator genre. I actually own a booth at a local thrift store so this also scratches the itch of finding and selling cool items, but it has pretty huge detractors. I can only stomach playing the game in spurts.

Not bad idea but it need more creativity. The game just repeat it self each time you finish a map. The shop need more enhances, selling processes is too boring after 2-3 hours of the game, I suggest you to add auto sell option. You cannot make the game Perfect (finish all steam achievements) unless you buy the DLCs. I hope my review will be useful to the game programmers if they decide to programme the game in the future.

I feel like this game would've been a lot more significant fifteen/sixteen years ago with it's big "LMAO random xD" energy. The actual "barn finding" is fun and the idea of running a backcountry store to sell garbage is wonderful. The execution of it all is pretty bad, though. *~t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m~* would've loved it, though.

Not the game I was expecting (I didn't expect the storyline), really funny and well worth playing.

Cant switch to 4K and 160Hz

I think this game is pretty good, its what you would expect I suppose. Some levels of jank are expected in these types of games, but this game has gamebreaking bugs that have been in the game for years that the devs have known about but dont fix. So yea, unfortunate that 99% of the way through the game you may have to restart just to actually complete the game.

i had fun

no idea why, but start-up consists of double clicking icon then waiting around 2 minutes of black screen for the splash screen and steam overlay to appear. unusual as no other game has ever been that slow consistently.

i imagine this is not popular with americans as most i know dislike having the piss taken. there is also toilet humour involved....literally

game is pretty good for what it is. buggy in some ways as items /materials disappear into the scenery sometimes and people not showing when icon shows they are in your shop.
a real big plus was the lack of hand-holding as i had to bungle around a little before i got everything working right. the invisible crosshairs is a bit tedious though.

paid less than a fiver for it, that's £5 and not the 5$ as the developers have used. not sure if that is another intentional middle finger or just another error. game is worth what i paid but not something i would return to again and again.

It's silly and fun. Though the tutorial seemed to be missing a lot of the essential steps, like how to travel to other map, how to travel back to the garage, and how to open stores. Using computer hub; click on the truck's door that's on the driver's side; and click on the "closed" sign that is on the porch pillar.

This game is just awful. Janky, buggy, ugly. Got this on sale for five bucks and I just couldn't stand to waste my money, so I requested a refund. If you're looking for a game about buying storage units or going to old barns to get items to sell at a shop, I bet there are other, better games that can scratch that itch for you.

Not as satisfying as i hoped.

Don't take this game too seriously and it has the potential to be up there with games such as Sir Whoopass!

I can relate to a lot of the jokes with this game, having watched reality TV - storage wars etc, and this takes every stereo type you see, throws in the crazy stuff, there's a storage flip simulator in there for good measure too. This coupled with the Whacky characters, which the nearest comparison I could make is probably the Sims, results in a comical playthrough.

I think most of the hate for this game comes from people who are scared to have fun, I managed to get this on sale for $7 AUD, which for the cost of a coffee, i've already had 7 hours of hilarious gameplay.

If this game is on sale, and you want something away from the same old boring gameplay loops, give this a go and don't forget to laugh a little and enjoy the journey!

Game breaking glitches

Ridiculous game. Fun parody of TV shows and was just a fun experience.

I wish the Devs updated the Console version of this game to get the DLCs and updated features like holiday events and stuff.

Good fun, take the game with a pinch of salt as it's meant to feel and look ridiculous.

Did not expect to find a gem amidst the simulator genre slop. Yes, it's janky at times, but I feel like the devs understood what the strength of this game was.

great 16 hours of content, worth the pricepoint at $10 on sale, not $20.

you need better perpetual post game content, and not just some garbage DLCs.
also, better home/store customization options. not just the store floor/walls.
and the sonar should reveal items, the echo system is painfully flawed.
oh, and more item variety.

I read some reviews AFTER playing the game.
I was surprised how many negative reviews I've seen.
This game is more of a comedy than a simulator.
That said the game is hilarious.
You find garbage....clean it....fix it....and sell it.
There is a story here too, which gets you invested but the point of the game is that you don't want to take it too seriously.
I think there is some rampant autism going around unchecked because I could not believe some of the reviews I've read.
Try this game out for some good times while collecting trash and making a buck.

Had a fun start, but gets boring real quickly.

The haggling is repetative, the auction has no challenging element.
Was kind of disappointed by the way the gameplay falls off after the first 4 maps.

I love the game play and story line of the main game. After finishing the story, though, it gets dull and repetitive quickly. If you enjoy the shop keeping aspect of the game more so than the barn finding, then this won't be as big a deal.
The first DLC "Amerykan Dream" is a nice addition. It is short, maybe a couple hours for 100% completion, and keeps close enough to the overall theme of the game.
The second DLC "Bid Wars" feels totally different from the base game. It's as if you and your uncle have totally lost your minds from all the moonshine and are no longer part of the real world. The DLC itself isn't bad- I'd rate it maybe a 3/5, but as an extension to the base game, it's terrible.

I got this game years ago and finally started playing now. Unfortunately, I’m out of the refund window and just forcing myself to finish it. tldr: I'm banning this game dev from my purchase list. It's a shame because I was interested in their Accident game, but the reviews are worse than Barn Finders.

The sound effects are gross cuz every time you crouch, there's a fart sound and entering an outhouse triggers a diarrhea noise. Maybe the devs meant it to be funny with all the burps sound too, however it feels ridiculous when it happens so often. I ended up muting the game and playing my music playlist. The gameplay isn’t that bad, I completed Winter Event job and a bug is preventing me from finishing it. Some guides suggest Alt+Tab, yet the golden gift still won’t appear so I’m stuck with the unfinished task. I won’t buy any DLC since they lock achievements behind it. The other DLC just expands the bid wars which many people say isn’t worth the price. Also, we still can’t fully decorate the character's resting room.

To start, It's a cute game, and very charming. However, I can't in good conscious recommend this game. It is incredibly buggy, and there needs to be a way to reset maps. I've had a problem with collectibles glitching out of bounds multiple times. The shop mode is very slow and grating with nothing to do while you wait for the bar to go down until new customers arrive. You can only have 1-2 customers in your store at a time and it's made even worse when the agent character shows up, because he just stands there and does nothing. Oh, and the bartering mini-game is just... awful.

Sometimes collectibles are in hard to reach places, and in specific for the bonus level, I had no idea there was a collectible on top of the sign. Again, I wish levels could be reset or at least could respawn with new destructible props you could use to reach unreachable collectibles. I really enjoyed this game at first, but the sheer bugs and the slow gameplay especially in the store really drag this game down. Hopefully the game is updated and it proves me wrong, but right now it's just not worth it.

I know my play time shows only a half hour, but like a lot of my games, I have already purchased/completed this one on my Switch and bought it again for PC. I love it! It's so trashy, dirty, and fun. You own a pawn shop with your uncle, and accept random "barn" jobs which you travel to to try and find what the "customer" is looking for. You find the item, but you also find other items to bring back to sell in your pawn shop as well. Some of the items can be quite hilarious and give you a good laugh. Each scenario is completely different, and it can sometimes be hard to find everything, but you can always replay it. No, it's not all barns either. I recall an old movie set, and even an alien base when I played before. It's like a real life game of storage wars, but with some exploration/hidden object vibes. I love it! I am not sure how much this differs from the Switch version, but I will be back to update my review if I see anything different. So far, it's pretty much the same game, but I'm sure it will play a lot better given the fact that this one is actively updated! I'd love to see some trading cards added soon.

I said I'd come back to update the review if anything changes, and unfortunately it did. After playing the first time, I was no longer able to load the game on my PC. Just a black screen. I even re-installed, validated the game files etc. Not working. I have good build so something like this should definitely run, but unfortunately and sadly enough, I can't play my game! It's such a shame, because this game is great. I recommend purchasing it for Switch if you have it, I was able to complete it on there as I mentioned above. Going to have to try to refund it now...

Barn Finders is a fun and quirky game where you search old barns and other places for items to sell in your shop. The game has a unique look and funny characters that make it enjoyable.

Very addicting! It's fun to find all the items on each map and sell them. Very interesting story line as well.

fun and easy to get a hold of. some of the mechanics are a little confusing but its a goofy light-hearted game that nice to just chill with. It can get a little grindy for money but it hooks ya with the bids and running the shop keeps you on your toes.
