I BLOOTING LOVEEE APPLEDEW STEW NOMMM NOM NOM (also playing this with my gf wish us luck guys :))
I bought this game not realizing who the audience was. It looked fun at a glance so I bought it. It is 100% a co-op game and also targeted at couples. It’s a couples game basically. The mechanics heavily revolve around it. I played it on the deck all the way and it played really well. 60fps majority of the time is about 10 watts and 1300mhz. If you want 45 it’s about 7 watts and 1000mhz. You get just under 3hrs with the first option. And about 3 and a half hours with the second option. I cleaned out all the islands and did as much content as I could. Didn’t 100% it but there isn’t too much left. Maybe about 1hr at most. It’s a relaxing game to play so don’t expect some blockbuster action. It’s slow going. The traversal is pretty good but going through some islands can be annoying and you end up wandering around trying to find a way out. The turn based combat is also pretty nice. You might run into a few enemies that might take a little strategic moves. Once you figure it out it’s pretty nice. Haven isn’t a hard game but there is an option if you choose. But overall it’s a laid back co-op game. Story is pretty solid too. Slow sometimes but still good.
Boring conversations, barely coop, bad controls
I had read multiple times that this was a good co-op game for a couple to play. It's barely co-op. Player 2 has minimal to no real agency. They just kind of follow around whomever is leading the way. Which makes it really awkward to move around at times, almost like you are being pulled or pushed. I guess if it's something you want to play alone, go for it and it's probably fine.
But I'm saying No to recommend here because it often comes up on co-op recommendations and it's not a great co-op experience at all.
Really good couples' game
This game is just too sweet. And a little bit spicy. It's a story-based game, so don't expect horribly difficult combat, just a exploration, minor puzzles, and fairly basic "combat". It's just lovely all around.

- The epilogue could be better. Speaking of which, there are two endings based on the decision you make: whether you want to continue banging or go back home and face the *BONK*
Haven is less about gameplay innovation and more about a heartfelt, character-driven experience. If you’re looking for a game that prioritizes emotional storytelling over complex mechanics, this is for you.
✅ The Good:
- Yu and Kay’s relationship steals the show. Their chemistry is the highlight of the game. They feel like a real couple—playful, supportive, and sometimes a little naive, but it’s that very innocence that makes them endearing.
- The writing is full of charm. The dialogue captures their highs and lows perfectly, making their journey feel authentic.
- Relaxing exploration. Floating through the alien landscapes is calming, though it would have been even better with a slightly faster pace.
- Unique presentation. The game balances its romantic story with quiet moments and varying cutscenes that keep things engaging.
⛔ The Meh:
- Gameplay repetition can set in, especially if you aim to 100% every area. While you aren’t forced to, the grind might wear down completionists.
- Movement is a little slow for me.
- Combat is simple and serviceable but lacks the excitement to make it memorable.
At first I saw my friend play this a couple years back. Then I came through it and bought it.
The game broke my heart. EVERY time. It's cute but it does have serious topics that I felt dread after. FUN GAMEPLAY THOUGH HAA HA ! :D
Laid back game with a good story, chemistry and intriguing world. Really hope they make a sequel.
The execution is really rough (mostly the controls), but the game has great ideas for a cooperative experience, and the story is interesting. The pacing is a bit slow, but you'll know in the first 20 minutes whether you'll enjoy it.
Intro:
As a fan of this studio's previous game, Furi, I went in with no expectations, and I was extremely surprised with how much I enjoyed Haven. Pros, cons, and other points below.
Pros:
- The traversal never gets old; just moving around on flow-threats or drifting always feels fun.
- The RPG progression and light survival mechanics are non-intrusive, and if anything add to the gameplay loop and the story!
- Haven has a very unique style of "open-world" which is a bunch of floating islets that are unlocked via bridges of varying lengths that connect them. Islets can often be unlocked in a very open-ended order, and often have similar items scattered across them to allow for multiple ways to progress!
- The soundtrack by Danger is just spectacular and I'm so glad they got him to return.
- Every game mechanic interweaves together in a very satisfying way.
- This is one of those games that just gets better and better (in story and gameplay) the more I played through it.
- I found Yu and Kay's relationship to be incredibly endearing, and it was the thing that kept me always coming back for more. For the most part Yu and Kay are very sound in their relationship, but there are a couple points where they get into disagreements which make their relationship feel real and reasonable.
- The vibes...what a great atmosphere. The style of the visuals and the soundtrack paint such a beautiful picture of a sci-fi world I wanted to know more of even after the game was over.
Cons:
- The combat isn't bad per-se. I enjoyed it and there are some good ideas, yet it also never stopped feeling clunky.
- Lack of environmental variation (although this does change near the end).
- While the gameplay loop is fun, it is mostly unchanging, and can get a tad repetitive.
- The finale feels fitting, but in some ways is also a tad anticlimactic.
- Certain character(s) have brief appearances that never return, which feels like a bit of wasted potential that was a decision made to due the budget constraints of an indie studio.
Neutral:
- Characters are kept to an absolute minimum. Other than Yu and Kay, most of the outside world is portrayed via the lore that is discussed between Yu and Kay's dialogue. This point really comes down to player preference, but I personally enjoyed the minimalism.
- Depending on who you are, the relationship element that is core to the story may capture your heart or make your eyes roll.
- The game has more than one ending, which is influenced by the final bit of dialogue.
Conclusion:
Overall Haven is a fantastic indie game that left me feeling very pleasantly surprised the whole way through. The story is engaging, the relationship of the characters is charming, and while the gampeplay is fairly simple it also had fantastic strengths despite some repetition. Another solid entry by The Game Bakers, and they officially have me as a loyalist who can't wait to see what they make next!!

Haven - is the One game, I was wishing to find for a long time. Just thinking of it as a romantic person to the bones as Me, makes want to play it again. Simply put - two lovers decided to leave everything behind to live free of the anti-utopian regime and order only to Love Each Other and never let go of One Another. That already sounds like a novel plot! And plays like it as well!
Calm, romantic, sincere, yet mature relationship of Yu and Kay open some places of My heart that I thought I don't even have!
Brilliant game, the exploring of which started from a Youtube Short. Sadly - played alone... On the other hand, I'm happy to witness such a masterpeace of the game development.

TLDR; Very endearing single-player game, only reason it's a positive review. Co-Op just makes Player 2 feel like an NPC.
Firstly, I want to get out of the way what's GOOD about the game. It is beautiful, the art-style is fantastic. The character dynamic is wonderful, and the dialogue is great. The story I have encountered so far is interesting and the futuristic aspect plays well into the environment. With all that said, it is a fantastic single-player game that you should play on your own.
For those who are looking at this thinking of playing with your partner, this is for you: The Co-Op is not worth it in my opinion. Player 2 has very limited options for contributing to gameplay. When you're in the overworld, you can *kind of* move around; The player that initiates the glide is the main controller of movement and it doesn't leave room for P2 to run around or do much of anything else. There is no split-screen option either, it is only a shared screen. Player 1 is the only person that can walk around inside the nest. The most that player 2 does is take part in the group decision for what Yu and Kay say in conversations, and make their own decisions in combat. That's it. Player 2 does effectively nothing, and most of the time can put down the controller without changing anything about the gameplay.
If the developers were to put in splitscreen and online options for Co-Op, that is all it would take for me to feel like Player 2 does something in the game. I understand the point of "The Inseperable couple overcoming Impossible Odds", but the way this is handled is honestly quite sad for me. I want to enjoy this game with my partner, to relate to Yu and Kay and have a fun time, but it's just not there. I am quite aware this is first and foremost a Single-Player game, but to offer Co-Op with next to no real cooperative options isn't fun. Player 2 will just sit there and watch for a majority of the game.
Sweet story, enriched with great voice acting. Moving around is very fun. I've gotten lost a few times, and navigation isn't always very clear, but that's okay.
Was able to put the game down and come back to it a year later without much trouble. The combat took some time to get used to again, but it is still quite fast, and mixes it up a little.

This is a game primarily about vibes, and the vibes are excellent. Just a very sweet and pleasant story with two lovable goobers.
I actually didn't expect to like it as much as i do! It's a beautiful game, well written and cute. Loved it and would recommend! Looking forward to more games like this from The Game Bakers.
Its not really any surprise, its really good. I wish there was more to the game, but for what you get and what you pay for it its a full experience. My only complaint is that there isnt any extension DLC or sequel. I want more from this universe.
I'm myself surprised about how much I'm enjoying this game. It's not particularly complex or incredibly inventive regarding its mechanics, but it's got a bit of everything: exploration, scavenging, fighting, roleplay, and it really pulls off bringing all of these elements together in a pleasing way.
What's really convinced me, though, is how sweet, funny and entertaining the story is and how really fantastic the voice acting. I think that the developers did a really good job casting the talent here. The two main characters are entirely believable, both singularly as well as in their interactions. It's so fun to get to explore their relationship. What also doesn't hurt are the pretty and engaging graphics and the fact that you can play this alone or with a friend.
Bonus points for the amount of inclusion in choosing whatever kind couple you want. For that and all these other reasons, a 9/10 from me.
This is a fantastic game. The gameplay is simplistic and the cel-shaded graphics can be described as getting the job done. The level-up system doesn't branch, and the fights are more simple puzzles than a tactical experience. The game suffers from severe hitching when loading dialogue audio and doesn't run particularly well otherwise.
But none of that really matters, because the unique draw of the game - getting to explore an alien planet with your romantic partner, with incredibly well-written dialogue and voice acting that's sweet, cute, and funny-snarky without falling into the trap of being Joss Whedon mean is brilliant. No other game pulls this off, and makes Haven completely worth your time and money.
This may be my favorite romance in gaming, and I've played through Baldur's Gate 3, the Dragon Age series and the Mass Effect trilogy hundreds of times. Highly recommended!

OMG. The way Yu and Kay interact is the kind of thing that leaves me wanting so much more. They flirt, they bicker, they cook together, and they have these quiet, intimate moments where they just exist as a couple. Theres a scene where theyre watching the stars, and Yu straight-up tells Kay how much he means to him. It's so damn sweet. Kay being a hornball (bocinapelota dont ask) is one of the funniest and most endearing parts of Haven. No matter the situation, whether theyre fighting corrupted creatures, gliding through the alien landscapes, or sitting down for dinner, Kay always finds a way to flirt with Yu or drop some cheeky remarks. He'll throw out a line like, "You know, if we werent busy saving this planet, I could think of some... other activities we could do" and you just know Yu's rolling his eyes (but also secretly loving it[i/]). Or after fights, Kay might say something like, [i]"Wow, you were so amazing out there. I couldnt keep my eyes off you." It's so over-the-top sweet and thirsty that its impossible not to laugh. We're trying to survive, but yeah gotta quench my thirst too yknow.[/i]
I don't have to explain that Yu and Kay quickly became my new favorite boyfriends in gaming. Theyre so relatable it hurts. Yu is this fiery, impulsive free spirit, and Kay is the logical, soft-spoken voice of reason type. Together? Absolute perfection. Their banter, the way they tease each other, the soft moments when they just exist together, its pure yaoi gold. Theres no awkward will they/wont they tension. Its a full on established relationship, and you can feel how much these two love each other in everything they say and do.

The game starts with them crash-landing on this dreamy, pastel alien planet called the Source. Youre constantly gliding across the surface of the planet hand-in-hand with your boyfriend. Yes, the game literally lets you glide as a couple. But its not just about the pretty scenery. This planet is full of mystery. Youre cleaning up this weird red rust stuff, fighting corrupted creatures, and slowly uncovering why the Source feels so alive and strange.
The combat is very couple focused, it's all about teamwork. You control both of them at the same time (or better yet with couch coop), syncing up their attacks, shielding each other, and just working together as a perfect pair. It's such a sweet metaphor for their relationship, and I couldn't get enough of it. Plus, the fact that you're always thinking about them as a whole, not individuals, feels so refreshing. It is what true partnership looks like.
Also, the soundtrack? Absolute banger. It's all these dreamy, lo-fi electronic beats by Danger, and it feels like it was made for cuddling up with your boyfriend while looking at the stars. (Or, you know, fighting space monsters together. Same vibe.)

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!: Haven is everything I've ever wanted in a game. It's romantic, heartfelt, and full of that soft, domestic BL energy we all love. Yu and Kay are the kind of couple you root for with your whole heart, and by the end, you'll feel that love really can conquer all. If you're just a sucker for love stories, do yourself a favor and play this game. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
Couple remark: We played the game with the free Diversity Update which allowed players to choose a same-gender couple—either two men or two women. They added thousands of new dialogue lines, new art. Its absolutely awesome. Play the game with any type of couple you want, m/m, m/f, f/f. (*≧ω≦*)

I would very much like to recommend this game, but unfortunately I can't -- for the simple reason that I can't play it for more than twenty minutes without it crashing. The last time was most severe, leading to a Blue Screen of Death on my machine. The twenty-minute-at-a-time glimpses I've gotten seem promising, but the constant crashes have become too much of a frustration. Hopefully others are having better luck with the game.
Takes some getting used to but very good, loved the story and the relationship between the protagonists.
Thank God Steam has a Refund Feature. 1/10
This game is fantastic! The relationship between the two main characters is beautifully developed, with dialogues that are often funny and even downright hilarious at times. While the world design isn't particularly standout, it serves its purpose well enough. The combat system takes some time to master but becomes rewarding once you do. The story is decent—nothing groundbreaking, but it keeps you engaged.
This is the first game i played and finished it on my Legion Go, and it ran very well.
Overall, I had a great time playing this. 9/10
I love this game. The story is so interesting and the way the characters interact with each other is just really refreshing. Most romances in games feel rushed or unrealistic, but the chemistry and depth of these characters just makes them seem so human. The story is the main focus of course, but I found that I really liked exploring, picking up all the rust, and doing some sick flips when I jump off a cliff.
As a co-op game it is not engaging. I really wanted to like this game though. :(
The indie game with simple graphics and a simple story, but it's worth the money. I suppose you will enjoy flying across arcs of threads, cleaning islands of rust, defeating opponents and observing the grow up of relationships between characters. I definitely recommend it.

To be honest, the game is more like a telenovela or a novel.
It was not really what I expected, but still a decent game.
I give this game a thumbs up because it was well executed and the dialogs were nice and fun.
But in general it was lacking much. The "coop" part of the game is not really coop. One
player leads the game, the other just follow passively. The fights are just selection of attacks
using the sticks (up/down/left/right). That's basically it. And here is also the thing with coop.
I can tell by the controls that playing it alone for both characters during the fight is waaaay more effective since you can coordinate your attacks with perfection. Some fights are pretty fast so you need to do the actions very fast ... I just can't imagine this working in coop.
The world itself is okay. It is nothing special and it is also missing kind of variation. But still it fits the plot and style. The compass is a must ... I found the navigation in game to be very hard. I thought after finishing the space ship you could fly to the locations ...
The characters were well done, I liked both of them. The dialogs were realistic and fun. There were also very cool moment between the characters. I think whoever did the story should go with a different game and try it there too. I bet this woul work out.
But to be honest, I wouldn't buy this a second time. This game is just not for me. I prefer either RTS, TBS or Shooters/Horro-Games. So ... this was an interesting experience but I was somehow bored and forced myself through the game. I am also not sure if the ending was satisfying. Kind of ...
tl;dr
This is more a novel and extremely story driven. The fights are really basic but can be frustrating sometimes due the pace. The characters are fun and nice to listen to. The worl is rather simple and "empty". No NPCs (except the animals).
For people who want to try something new: in sale
For people awaiting some cool action and leveling system: nope
I love this game so much. While not having the best graphics and combat (they aren't bad, just ok), it more than makes up for it with its characters, story and music. It's a little gem that holds a special place in my heart. It's easy to connect with the characters, they have so much personality and are adorable together as a couple. The exploration is fun and the music so unique and immersive. You really feel like you are on a strange planet. It's a heartfelt and bittersweet adventure that I went through twice and will probably replay again in the future.

This is one of those games you'll start and immediately fall in love with. Yu and Kay ( I chose to play as lesbians bc duh) are genuinely some of the best written Sapphics ever. Another thing I genuinely appreciate is that they aren't reduced to the uwu cottage-core lesbian stereotype but are actual adults, they fuck, they do drugs, they have worries and insecurities. All in all highly recommend, especially if you're a Sapphic and want more Sapphic games to play.
I'mma be real, I have tried to finish this game three times now, and only finished it once. The story was a bit meh for me when I first played and the combat, while being unquie and a time based system that I didn't have much experience with( But thought it was super cool), frustrated me a lot. So I quit the first time around 2 years ago, and a second time a year or less ago. But.. I tried again and found a sort of deep joy and embarrsingly deep love for the characters, how they interacted, acted and the kind of people they were.
I knew most of the story, where certains plot points where located and most of the stuff I needed to do to progress the game, but I can honstly say, I hadn't expected a lot of the things I saw on my third playthrough.
Hidden beach island, rust wastelands and the ending was quit unlike what I had expected. I even forget to go the svanna area I saw last I played, just from how interesting all this other stuff was.
It's good, play it just once and spend about 15 hours of honstly pure wholesome, romanc between two people who dares to go against a dystopian future that sounds way more interesting then most other games "dystopias".
Plus it can be played as a straight couple, two guys or two girls. And honstly, Kay and Yu look good either way. Too bad, you can't play female Kay with Male Yu.

Look, this is not a bad game, but it absolutely is not for everyone.
The story is great - I was charmed by the protagonists and intrigued by the strange world they found themselves in.
The combat, not so much - The combat cycle, which does make up a sizeable chunk of the games' playtime just felt slow, samey and boring to me. Now I love a good strategy, turn-based game, but this isn't that either. The options you have are limited, and even if the creatures change, it's not like you have to change up your strategy all that much.
I can certainly see the appeal if you are just looking for a chill game where you don't need to stress too much about the combat loop and just take it at a slow pace, but that isn't for me. I can also see how this game may work out well if you are playing co-op with a partner who is not too videogame inclined.
Actually very healing and calming. Game mechanics are easy but there's still challenges that doesn't make it boring :)

great for playing with a couple, even with remote play works fine, as long as you set the resolution low!
Finally they added ability to play it as two women.
Game has decent (a bit naive and romanticized) story and standart-ish gameplay with some unique twists (stylized exploration and jRPG battles).
Best to play it with your couple on one screen (or via Remote Play Together), as it is focusing on romantic relationship and your actions can change some outcomes and events (thought, not much). Technically you can play it alone with an AI controlling your second half, but it is not as fun this way.
Premise of the story is that you and a person of your choice are two young adults (or older teens) in love, who escaped the world to a new clean planet. You are building here a house to live together and to better bond with nature that you adore so much, while enjoying this untouched by civilization world. However, your past is not leaving you alone - as an Evil Empire wanders world to world and consumes all its resources and energy, polluting planets or completely edstroying them to dust - and now it is aiming to get here. So your love to each other and love to nature is challenged not only by the life together in lone small planet, but also by your past and the Evil Empire that can't just leave your alone. But maybe your new bond with nature and each other can help you to save this planet and yourselves? Or two people is just not enough to challenge such an immense force?
