This is game is the definition of average, I mean, the girl desing is good, and that's the only good thing that this game has, the story is absolutely average, simple, and boring.
The mc doesn't have any kind of personality, the typical introverted guy, who's only personality is that he's introverted, that's all, all his dialogues are about how introverted he is.
The girl is even worse, her personality is that she likes to eat, and that she comes from the future, that's all.
She doesn't explain at any point how she managed to go back in time (at least as far as I played, and I highly doubt it's explained seeing the mediocre quality of the script).
Literally the entire script of the game is:
-Hi, I'm from the future, I'm your girlfriend, I'm hungry.
It's that repeated over and over and over and over again, there's nothing else.
It's absolutely boring and there's no reason to play it.

it was really good best ending is the true ending
见证了存在于理想中的最美好纯洁的爱情,让人感触很深,爱不是互相凝望,而是共同望向一个方向
Moving and interesting story. Mellow endings. 8/10
A slow paced game with a lot of repeat dialog
i cry a lot when Yurin decide to try one more time to show me how big is her love for me. And i keep replaying the game to receive her love cuz in real life i haven't found one yet.
the only flowers ill ever get will be at my funeral
cute game tho
Unless you enjoy being sad, don't bother. The so called "Good" end was so depressing, I am left to wonder what the "Bad" end was? Images of puppies being kicked? Pictures of sick children? Good grief.
What a sleeper hit. The game's description does it no justice whatsoever. This is so easy to pass up as just another visual novel. And it looks so unassuming. But the story is fantastic, and you can tell that the VN itself is a labor of love. This game is entirely worth all your time. It's emotional, impactful, and beautiful. If you like rom-com, time-travel, and a little bit of tragedy, then this is perfect for you. The only thing I dislike about this is that I waited so long to experience it.
A short-ish (about 10-11 hours if you fully listen to voices, far less otherwise) that is sweet and heartwarming. It lulls a bit in the middle but it's still nice overall. Yurin's cute and it's fun watching her try to woo her past boyfriend.
I cried hard. I wish I'd bought it earlier.
I enjoyed the story. I liked how the romance progressed. There's minimal branching but that's about all I can say. I made it to the good ending and that was enough.
That was really nice.
Story
This is a VN developed by TalesShop. In My so-called future girlfriend, you read through the story of how Taein's life changed one day when a girl approached him and said "Nice to meet you! I'm your girlfriend from the future!" He didn't have many friends and preferred being alone. Now this girl showed up, and told him something bizarre. With this girl in his life, how will his life change? Will he believe her? How much will she eat?
Positives
First, the art, music, and voice acting. The art is good. The CGs, while there isn't as much as I would have liked, were well drawn. The food CGs were done well, and made me glad I ate before reading further into this VN. I like how expressive Yurin can be, which is then improved upon even more with her personality, but I'll talk about that later. The music was nice, and they even got someone to sing for them. The background music was good, and the song in the credits was nice as well. While there is only one character with a voice, Yurin's voice actor did a good job. She did a good job playing the role and some moments almost got me emotional. The menu screens and UI was nice to look at even though I felt it would look better on a phone. I love that there is a scene select and a little skip button as you progress through the VN. This makes reading through it faster. The tips menu was a nice touch as well. I thought it was just going to be just Yurin talking about food, but there is more to it as your read more into the VN. There are also some sound effects used in this VN. I thought they were fine and added to the scene that they are used in.
I would like to talk about the characters next. There are other people mentioned, but the two we spend time throughout the story are Taein and Yurin. Taein doesn't have many friends, likes being alone, and finds conversing with others pretty difficult. The boy didn't even know how to date and has very little confidence in himself. In contrast, we have Yurin from the future. She is a nice, clumsy girl who isn't afraid to joke around. She might be an airhead at times, but she can be mature at times and her love for Taein is genuine. With this personality, she seems to be a perfect girl with very little flaws. But was she always like this? Their chemistry was good, and they had some nice moments with each other, from both messing with each other to Yurin's never ending appetite. There are some choices in this game that might change what ending you get. Additionally, this VN has phases to divide parts in the story better.
While the story seems simple at first, as you go further, a lot is added to it. Watching the characters develop is where the focus should be rather than the story (at first at least). Time travel is used a lot in this VN, and Yurin mentions there are possible consequences to it. Should she not follow the rules, she could disappear. I didn't think they would go through with it, but this VN surprised me. Taein might be the protagonist, but Yurin steals the show at some moments in this VN. It made me question which one is the protagonist. I like how time travel was used in this, and it wasn't confusing at all. This VN has more to it than meets the eye.
Negatives/Nitpicks
- While there are people mentioned (though not by name), the setting felt dead. Yurin is the only one with a character model in this VN. We do see Taein, but only in CGs.
- This VN has a couple of errors in its text. Some examples include "You're to good for me", "...for split seconds. F5094", "What do you want toe at?", and my personal favorite "That was yum!"
- Like I said before, the story might seem simple and predictable to others at first, but it might surprise you in some way. However, its simple story at the beginning might make some lose interest.
- In Extra Story one, 5 years after he met future Yurin, Taein makes the Yurin from his timeline travel in time. Since there are multiple Taeins and Yurins, does this mean that each Taein will go through the same events as what we see in this story? It's nice that Taein changed for the better in the end, but thinking about it makes me feel bad for the characters. Especially when you learn about the possible dangers of time traveling.
- Extra Story two felt like it could have been something else. I feel like what we got could have been put in the story. I liked it, but for something that we obtain after getting every scene, I wished it was something like Extra Story 1.
Overall
That was very nice.
My so-called future girlfriend was a better VN than I thought when I first started it. The art and music looks good, and the story almost made me cry. It definitely surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. While the story seems simple at first, different things are added such as character development and explaining more about time travel take the focus. While it's short, it uses its time wisely and doesn't feel like scenes were unnecessary. This is a short and sad story in a VN that I can recommend. This all really surprised me for a VN that costs $5. Yurin and Taein are nice characters, and I wish the best for their future. Give it a read through. You won't be disappointed.
Bois I did it, I finally got a girlfriend.
I enjoyed this incedibly much. It is a sweet story that might, as it did with me, annoy you, heal you and make you cry.
I whole heartedly recommend this to anyone who likes romance and/or Visual novels.
My game time got me through on a comfortable pace and gave me one of at least two endings.
All I know is that I want to protect her and not get the Bad ending. . . .
I wish I have a girlfriend like her
Have you ever played a light visual novel, or watched a comedy/romance anime? Yes? Then you don't need to play this game. There is absolutely nothing interesting in it. It's competent, but it offers only the blandest of bland. The only reason I kept going over the hour mark is that it kept me wondering why the game was made in the first place: this is a small, amateur game so surely the author must have something to say, some story they wanted to put out there. Nope, it feels like some vacuous, mass-produced "feel good" game, where the characters are what they are because they have to fit in the trope mold, and because you're told what you are supposed to feel.
I guess on a technical note it's at least competent, everything works, the art is cute, the music is bearable and the voice acting decent. And it's cheap. That's about all the nice things I can think of.
It is cute. It is really cute. Great read for a such a small price. And I rly like the artwork. Thumbs up and I hope there will be more from the devs in the future. 1 MC 1 Heroine - no harem - just great :)
A new twist on sims, you will see through the eyes of the npcs in the novels you play. Because she is the protagonist.
I really liked it, a bit of a Stiens:Gate vibe.
I can say 1 Thing wow Dem Feels Ok The MC Character One day was Walking Around the Park to where He spotted Girl in which Claims to be His Future Girlfriend And she even says she is. She always Kept taking him places and trying to make him Happy and also Trying tot Member The Good times they once or did share in the Disant past. No Matter How Hard she tried he never once had An Ounce or shred of love for her. She Kept repeating the same Senario and day over and over Again Thinking Everything Might be ok Or something good might come or maybe Something Just Might change. However Something did change it was Him He Was at Fault for not Realizing he liked her and it took him 4 days in repeat to Figure that out. In the didant past they been together or known for 5 years And the present she wants Nothing More than to be with him. But hey You can Go Play it It Touched me the sad parts did Good VN Loved it ^^ I Recc it to Anyone who Loves these Types.
I enjoyed this visual novel fairly well. The hardest point of contention will be its repetitive elements, as it's a "time-travel" story, and you experience portions of it again. Nonetheless, it's short and worth reading through to get to the final chapter and the story's resolution. Essentially, it's a romance about a girl from the future who is attempting to make her future-boyfriend fall in love with her, but his past-self is at odds with her personality.
The novel only features two characters, the protagonist and his future-girlfriend, Yurin. The protagonist is a self-insert, and can be somewhat obnoxious as he's just a loner-type male who sits at home and doesn't behave in a particularly affectionate way. Yurin is a charming character, with attractive sprites and an astoundingly good Korean VA. She's cute, lovey-dovey, and surprisingly mature; and you'll spend most of your time watching and interpreting her behaviours, rather than focusing on the perspective of the narrator/protagonist. Trust me that it's great to wait and listen to Yurin's spoken lines, rather than just browse through the text, as her laughter, screams, and acting is on point through the whole book, and you'll feel her dedication even if you're not familiar with Korean. As for the story, it's relatively intelligent but nothing ground-breaking. I'm sure it can cause a few tears from an empathetic audience, as it did for me, and it's short length makes it an easy to complete project you'll be glad you finished.
The art takes a little getting used to, as Yurin's sprites are the only real character pieces you see, and they're done in a style harshly different from the background art--even though they look good, they seem kind of washed out. Likewise, the CGs are good, but take on another different style, which makes it hard to sometimes relate different parts of the experience together. The background art also isn't strongly related to the novel, so even though they often focus on the winter season, you'll be seeing a natural world that could very well be summer or autumn, though that can be easily ignored. The OST is where the novel shines, with a fantastic BGM highly reminiscient of Yume Miru Kusuri. It's the kind of stuff you'd save to a playlist, and well-compliments the voice acting and other sound effects.
There isn't much gameplay to this experience. You can collect a few different CGs by making different choices, but it rarely gives you the option to affect the narrative, and even an amateur will have no problem reaching the good ending. If you're a fan of visual novels, pick it up and give it a try. It's as good as anything you'll find at a convention, and well-priced.
A nice little love story about a lonely, introverted guy and his girlfriend from the future who brightens up his life. The game's pretty short so there's not much else to say about the plot.
Now for a few nitpicky notes about the other aspects of the game. This visual novel is a bit minimalist, with the only character (besides the protagonist) being the titular future girlfriend. She is voiced well and there are some nice CGs but don't expect anything fancy. The UI and menus are also a bit clunky as the game appears to have been optimized for mobile platforms rather than PCs. Probably not a big deal for most people, but if you've played a few VNs then it might annoy you (Check out TALESSHOP's free VN "Adolescent Santa Claus" if you want a general feel of the type of UI and only one other character thing).
The game's original language is Korean, but the English translation is decent. There's a few mistakes and awkward translations here and there but for the most part things flow smoothly. As for the Korean cultural aspects in the game, the translation seems to have sidestepped them. For example, there's a bit of discussion in the game about how the girlfriend addresses the protagonist. She is technically older than him, but since she time travelled she ended up in her past body which is younger than the protagonist. and in Korean she calls him "oppa" (a term Korean girls can use to address boys older than them) while in the translation she simply addresses him by his name. Again, probably not a big deal for most people but if more Korean VNs arrive on Steam then there might be a debate about literal translation vs. localization as is the case with Japanese VNs.
