Monsters beyond your imagination, and you: The Manager.
Monsters beyond your imagination, and you: The Manager. Monsters beyond your imagination, and you: The Manager. A roguelite monster-management simulation inspired by the likes of the SCP Foundation, Cabin in the Woods, and Warehouse 13. Order your employees to perform work with the creatures and watch as it unfolds; harness greater energy, and expand the facility. One disaster will lead to another, until everything has fallen into chaos. “I give you a warm welcome to Lobotomy Corporation.”Lobotomy Corporation is a roguelite monster-management simulation.
Our game was inspired by the monsters birthed of various inspirations featured in games, film, and series, such as the SCP Foundation, Cabin in the Woods, and Warehouse 13. Going further, it was developed with this thought: “What if those monsters were real, and your job were to manage them?”
You will be playing as the Manager of Lobotomy Corporation, a company in which such creatures are contained and managed. Order your employees to perform work with and on the creatures and watch the results expectantly. Gather energy produced by the monsters and fulfill the quota each day, expand the facility, and manage even more strange beings. In this game, the player will face an ever-present sense of tension and dread as they progress through each day.

“Our new technology will bring salvation to humanity.”
Lobotomy Corporation is a newly established energy company that isolates Abnormalities and extracts an infinite amount of energy from them by using independently developed technology, or so it seems on the outside. Join the corporation, and witness the true reality with your own eyes.
Lobotomy Corp. consists of several departments, much like any other company. You will have access to various departments as you harness more energy. The more departments you have unlocked, the more efficient the management of Abnormalities will become.
Furthermore, AIs such as Angela and the ‘Sephirot’ will be at your side to provide all the assistance you need for smooth progression.

Beings that you must constantly research and observe.
We dubbed the creatures that reside in Lobotomy Corporation, ‘Abnormalities’.
You will have to try your best to keep your employees out of danger while extracting as much energy as possible from the Abnormalities. However, you must learn what types of work you should and shouldn’t perform via trial and error.
You start with zero information on the Abnormalities. At first, your eyes, ears, and the in-game manual will be your only hints. Let your intuition pick the work type that might suit the Abnormality best. After that, order the employee who is best suited for the job to work on the Abnormality, and wait for the results. In the process of managing Abnormalities, you will gain the power of information.
The amount of energy you can acquire from Abnormalities will depend heavily on the type of work your employees perform.

This is NOT a tycoon.
As mentioned before, Abnormalities are beings that need to be treated with great care. Some might dislike the idea of being locked inside a Containment Unit, and may sometimes attempt to breach containment.
A breaching Abnormality will attack every employee in sight and disrupt the facility’s systems. Worse still, it could open up other units and cause more Abnormalities to escape. Furthermore, employees eroded or corrupted by certain Abnormalities will have a greatly adverse influence on other employees. Employees brainwashed by Abnormalities might randomly attack those around them, wholly oblivious to what they are doing. In addition, employees may go insane from serious psychic trauma, disobeying your orders and damaging the psyche of other employees around them.

One disaster leads to another, until everything has fallen into chaos.
If you fail to resolve a situation immediately, it will ultimately spiral out of control and throw the whole facility into chaos. When such a situation does occur, you will have to gather employees to suppress any threat and regain control of the situation, or give up parts of the facility to ensure the company’s safety.

“Tell me, manager. Do you have any wishes?”
The game consists of two main portions: Monster Management and visual Story Segments.
Once a day of managing Abnormalities and producing energy ends, the story segment will follow right afterward.
In the Story Segments, dialogue with Angela (the AI you’ll also be seeing occasionally in the management portion of the game) and the Sephirot will play. As you progress through the missions they give, you will come closer to the truth hidden deep in the company. You may have to ask questions, or answer questions from others. Here, you will uncover the secrets surrounding the company and yourself, and mayhaps even more.
“Hello, X.”
“I give you a warm welcome to Lobotomy Corporation.”

THIS DANG GAME ONE SECOND YOU HAVE OH MOUNTAIN OF SMILING BODIES BROKE OUT OH WHATS THAT? CHOO CHOO HERE COMES EXPRESS TRAIN TO HELL READY TO MOLEST YOUR EMPLOYEES,BUT WAIT THERES MORE WHITENIGHT BREACHED AND ALL OF YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE FUCKING TURNED INTO APOSTOLES SO PREPARE YOURSELF TO MAKE LOVE WITH THE RETRY DAY BUTTON. This game is also very good and fun for everyone that plays it certified lobotomy too.
Personally a fan of Hod, Chesed and Hokma, but all the characters are great
Hok ma balls lmao
Fortunately, I'm not on the spectrum, but unfortunately, that means I can't find this chore called a game enjoyable. You genuinely have to be an autist to find this game fun to play; otherwise, you're just as patient as I am and toughing it out so you can move on to Library of Ruina without missing anything.
It's hard, you will restart days over and over, but it's worth it for the challenge, the story, and the vibe.
An absolutely beautiful game that is filled with blood, fear, and stress. a fantastic journey that I have finally beat.
never again.
It's a fun game to play until you reach Day 20+. Overall, veri cool.
restarting is part of the game, i mean you might even restart more than subaru but even though the grind is painful its very addicting and fun 10/10
Geniunely one of the funnest games i played in a while, its so entertaining yet difficult at a fun level, i was recently able to buy it but its one of my longest running fixations . Would recomend 10/10 experience.
The story is great and the gameplay is fun and engaging. Every aspect of the gameplay is integrated in the story and has a reason. Anything you see and find has some background in the lore which is great in my opinion
i absolutly love this game, its fun, i think it uses a bit of brain power to decide how to work oh which anomalies before noon or any of that sorts, and deviding your agents around spaces so that in a meltdown it can be quickly handled, i wish i had hearded about the game all those years ago
This game is horrendous, don't ever play this.
Anyways 10/10, this game is peak you should play it unless you love yourself.
.
FUN. COZY. AND LOVE.
Thats how I describe the game as simple as possible. You as manager have to complete daily target, working with cute monster and managing your employee. Story are simple, you became manager of a corporation and your assistant that got interested with you telling what to do with the corp. The soundtrack so relaxing and danceable that fit well into the context and story. Option that can customize the employee with stylish uniform that looks alike as the monster is the best content should exist in a game.
that's fun until you realize getting lobotomized is better than playing the game.. GOODBYE!!
Very hard, but also very fun. I personally quite like it's difficulty curve, as well as managing days and when to rewind days.
A really challenging game, with a great story, I admit it took a while for me to finish, it was worth it. You should play it and Libary of ruina too.
started on sat. cried, in pain and agony. couldn't pass day 7-8. cried some more. more suffering. 10/10 game
Haven't finished this game but it's actually way better than I thought, the art style is very misleading and make it look like a really bad and poorly made game but it's actually really good and surprisingly entertaining, if you fw SCP's and management games you should play this
This game is so absurdly difficult, sadistic and frustrating. And yet I've always come back. I regret nothing.
Pros:
- Each one of the creatures you encounter is creative and memorable. Especially when they interact with each other. They make the otherwise simple gameplay so deep and interesting.
- Difficulty is stupid but fair. You just need to git gud.
- Great story, characters and world-building. And I love the use of symbolism.
- O-05-47 <3
Cons:
- A bit annoying UI
- Some minor bugs
Just a beautiful piece of art
The mechanics are insanely deep but getting into it isn't that hard. Genuinely really fun but also really challenging. Super good highly recommend
this game is a trap of which u cannot escape once you start. Whenever i'm not playing this game it calls me like the green goblin mask, it ruined my life. I 112% recommend it.
a game where you manage several "scp"'s. there is a rogue-lite element where you can restart to day 1 or checkpoints and keep information / upgrades(not equipment). would heavily recommend installing "Basemod" and having the wiki up and research which abnormalities to keep.
to keep it simple, if your the type of person who likes games with lore ,you should try this game out once you get the chance. The only thing about this game which may be complicated for new players is the stats on every living being. They have 4 different stats with different encounters in situations like working on a abnormality , or attacking...
Do not play this game unless you are mentally ill. I actually had nightmare for a week when I started playing.
The first time, it will test your willpower. The second time, it will challenge your micromanaging skill. The third time, it will test how you use the knowledge you've acquired. It will be hard. It will be full of pain and suffering. Hell, almost everything in this game is built on suffering.
But through it all, you will come to realize that it was worth it. You will face the fear and build the future.
ANGELA I WILL GET YOU ANGELA
this game features a cozy and relaxing management sim where you oversee a facility, guiding employees as they work with strange creatures to collect energy for the day's quota. it features a calm, soothing soundtrack guaranteed to lighten the load of anyone's bad day, and a forgiving learning curve allowing for resets as needed to maximize your stress-free experience from this amazing game full of surprises and simple challenges with enticing rewards as you build your workplace from the ground down.
Haven't finished, only played about 30% of the way through so far, but definitely worth it. Controlling abnormalities is difficult and requires strategy and many of them are unique with their own ways of dealing with them, and how they are handled can lead to good or bad results. The characters and story are also very well-written and interesting to listen to.
Cool concept, refined "core" mechanics. I've had the game in my inventory for a few years(like 4 or 5), but I haven't looked at it much.
If you're feeling unsure, let me make it crystal clear for you fellas.
Rather than being a traditional base-building game, it's more of a 'management' game, so to speak. You get to do research from the 'wiki' and do experiments like a chore within the less addictive story and the game's concept. I found it a bit tiring, so i can't find myself to resume, it's one of the deepened games which makes you wonder and compel for the results.
I hope someday I could return and get its true taste.
But if you have different expectations, you may not enjoy it as much. This is not the game where you designed and operate.
ludokino
It's not as hard as people say, don't get discouraged by the discourse surrounding the game, it IS hard, but it's not impossible neither unfun.
I wanted to play this because I thought the artstyle was cool and I had just started playing limbus company, but this game is genuinely miserable. You would have to be a masochist with infinite free time to enjoy this.
An incredible game about managing an organization that attempts to contain SCPs, or "abnormalities" as the game refers to them. You are the manager running the company as you see fit. A challenging and engaging game that I would call one of my favorites of all time.
Love Love Love this game. If you are into SPC than you'll probably like this game. It reminds me a lot of oxygen not included mixed with SPC lore. Seriously this game is awesome. I still haven't managed to get every possible monster open yet and I have been playing for over 50 hours. So I definitely find it to be worth my money.
Absolutely gorgeous game, found out about ProjectMoon from the launch of Limbus company, and unique artstyle and storytelling got me immediatelly hooked, so I decided to give a go to their other games. At first I only managed to go to day 26ish, because at first the gameplay of managing the facility was quite overwhelming for me, but after taking a break and reseting to day 1 everything went much smoother. Of course, game has it's fair share of pain and suffering, be it vast majory of Abnormalities, which all require specific type of attention, or losing your precious employee you grew attached to, but that seems to be intended part of gameplay XD. The the story, however, was absolutely worth it all!
Easily Project Moon's Best Game in terms of design. The game fully leans into the idea that "Knowledge is Power", and it does it really well. Each abnormality has their own set of unique rules that make them really distinct from one another, both design and gameplay wise. Sure, some of them may seem to be non issues, but as the days progress and you expand your facility and house more of them, the game becomes this very intricate dance of of meeting the needs of everything in the facility, while also dealing potential problems such as Ordeals and other variables that can affect the outcome of the day.
Awesome Stuff.
Probably one of the best games to play for skill expression and management. Story is good once you get into it. Wouldn't recommend unless you have extreme patience if not hope for a remaster.
Game is really good but super janky, definitely play with qol mods like stacking hp bars and detailed info. Also consider using 10x speed mod to get through some of the downtime you'll have to go through in order to 100% the game. Re-extract mod also nice for getting the final few abnormalities for 100% to save time.
QOL mods make the game very playable but the UI will still be a bit janky.
Well worth the 100% but honestly prepare for a miserable experience if you are into that. Probably hardest game I've ever played and I've played boshy so yeah.
TLDR: fun but miserable, wait for remaster if you don't have the patience
This game isn't a traditional management game. you will need to reset pretty frequently but you get to keep some of your progress to ease your burden on your next run. its a fun game to read through regardless it just has a pretty steep learning curve.
Haven't finished it fully yet but modded version is super fun
The best of the torture sims out there. It's a Stockholm syndrome the video game. Writing is peak tho.
Lobotomy Corporation is a unique experience that challenges you to manage powerful and unpredictable SCPs (some that can be instant run-enders) while balancing unit survival/farming energy for your company.
Getting through the game mostly relies on trial and error, repetition and is towards the end a huge burden of memory. It's awesome.
Definitely don't recommend playing this game unmodded- it's a QOL nightmare.
Story is so good, world building is great, gameplay loop is fun, music bangs. 10/10.
I really liked the diffucult in managing. There are dangerous monsters you need to keep in check 24/7 and one silght silp up can result in them breaching. 10/10 would recommend
difficult but endlessly enjoyable, very deep story that references literature and fairy tales throughout many cultures. i love it.
I didn't really notice much lobotomy in the game so maybe it's the friends we made along the way? In all earnestly though it's a very fun and unique monster manager that I'd definitely check out if I were you! If you can't dedicate 50 hours to a game, don't like constantly doing the same thing over again or don't like extremely difficult (maybe even a bit unfairly difficult at times) games than I'd consider that too when purchasing.
This game isn't for everyone. If you manage to beat it, it'll be one of the most memorable experiences. Def in my top 5 fav games of all time.
Gave me a Lobotomy, horrible gameplay, absolutely no fun was had during the 21 hours of playing.
10/10, would play again.
do not play this game. just go play library of ruina or limbus. whichever one you actually want to play. just watch a lore summary its not worth it. my life is ruined. day 49 is the worst thing to ever happen to me. I am so tired it's been so many hours and I am still not free
However. if you are insane and have no other priorities in your life, then you probably still shouldn't play this, but you Do meet the criteria for someone who has a slim chance of actually enjoying the experience of this game, so its worth a shot
So, Imagine you decide to get yourself a brand new game! You deserve it after all :)
And then you proceed to get rip apart both physically and mentally by these "Creatures" that were once human.
This game will ruin you mentally, you will notice how ignorant and blind you are. Oh you forgot to stare at the blood tree? Everyone is dead, hooray, Oh you attacked the bird that breached? Yeah say goodbye to the person who attacked him, Oh whats this "new" purple midnight ordeal? Yeah enjoy tentacle hentai. This game will make you question anything and everything. Dont believe me? Just look at a second of gameplay.
All jokes aside this game is actually amazing, it does run like a toaster towards the end (when you get past the middle layer) but its not an fps game so it is manageable. The story is actually amazing and sure it is weird and complex at the start, if you can ignore that and really get into the story, it really is a story that I would consider to be "Peak fiction". Also the music is amazing, who knew that when everyone is dying and everything is breaking out, that the music would slap so hard.
11/10 game.
Also fuck you Binah I hope you have a good fucking Christmas.
That Game broke me in ways I couldnt even imagine .In the beginning i thought hey thats a pretty nice game but after 46 days i realized that it was the embodiment of hell disguised in an awesome artstyle and story.
10/10 played through it so i never have to touch it again
This game is hell incarnate, it will beat you over and over again with a brick until you finally succeed, but once you do succeed its like a drug. Don't expect to beat this game the first go around, this game takes 2 runs MINIMUM imo but overall this is a really investing game if you're into management simulators or interested in an abnormality management game.
+ Great story, interesting gameplay, cool characters designs
- Game makes you suffer with the core supressions, missions and alephs
Overall the game is 10/10 and I might be a masochist
This game is as brilliant and satisfying as it is brutal and frustrating. Not all players will be able to put up with the seemingly endless repetition, or overcome the harrowing challenges, but those who do will receive an experience unlike any other.
One of the premises of the gameplay loop is redoing things you've already done. Some progression is locked in forever the first time you complete it, but most of the menial busywork and the grunt labor that comprises the larger part of Lobotomy Corporation is intended to be repeated over and over again as the player sets up for those events that do matter in the long term. Odds are, you will be getting 100% completion on your first time seeing the credits, assuming you make it that far, solely by virtue of how much of the game you have to experience in order to even be able to view the ending. The commitment required to fully enjoy the game does absolutely justify the price tag for those who make it to the end, but very few gamers will have the willpower to soldier through clear to the conclusion. In short, if you read the tagline: "Monster Management," and thought it would be great fun to run an SCP facility, you may want to reconsider your purchase. If, however, deep, emotional, and brilliant stories, gameplay challenges that test you knowledge, nerves, and willingness to sacrifice in the name of success, and an overall fantastic experience are worth the time investment for you, than you can and should buy this game without a second thought.
Playing this after playing the sequels made me expect the worst, from how people talked about it - a gauntlet of punishment and pain that you'd have to trudge through. But surprisingly, despite it being tough and painful indeed, it's a really fun experience. The abnormalities are all interesting in their own way, and figuring our and adapting to their gimmicks is what can make this game so fun. I went from being overwhelmed on Day 7, to managing a whole facility of WAWs and ALEPHs who's restrictions would have terrified me. Even when I was forced to reset to Day 1 (my fault, I was too terrified to start Dusks) it was a surprisingly good experience. I got to capture new abnos I never took before, my agents and departments were a lot better even without doing the meltdowns before, and actually knowing stuff made it a lot easier to catch up to a point where I was before.
If I was to have one complaint, it'd be information and hiding it being part of progression. You need to unlock UI and information slowly but surely - a obvious core loop when dealing with abnormalities, but it felt suffocating when training agents and viewing their stats/success rate. Later challenges (spoilers) stripping away certain information features felt rude, since I had just unlocked deadly new anbnormalities, but knew I couldn't afford to wait on meltdowns.
If I could have two complaints, let us keep or save agent appearances. I don't care about stats, but mem repoing causing me to lose all of them is what scared me the most. If you could pull previous agent appearances at a higher rate, especially customized ones, that would be great.
Overall, a great experience. I had a lot of fun, despite pulling out my hair or resetting due to common slip ups early on. The story was fantastic, and everything flowed together seamlessly. If anyone wants to play a monster management that's tough but rewarding, I highly recommend it - and for any Project Moon fans, don't be discouraged by the difficulty! You'll get in the groove of things soon enough, and actually experiencing LobCorp, while not necessary, has drastically helped my appreciate a lot of elements of later games I just brushed over before.
Funny game that houses the funny thingymagigs that do funny and kill your entire facility.
Truly the game ever!
Good lore, but most of it you can only get from mid to end game. Repetitive gameplay which is not so bad if not for all the shenanigans the game throws at you to kill off all your team and make you restart the game multiple times. Lots of annoying and irritating mechanics at certain stages like preventing you from pausing the game while all hell breaks loose, or penalising you whether you get good results or bad results (only normal results are not punished). Game autosaves every day with no manual saves, so expect multiple reloads.
