ITS A GOOD SHORT SCARY GAME NOT HARD NOT EAZY ITS JUST NORMAL I LIKE IT AND I RECOMMEND YOU TO TRY IT
Pretty good game have lil bit of jumpscares :)
same kurwa chujstwa no ja pierdole idzie sie zajebac z tymi producentami jebanymi
I genuinely enjoyed this game, despite some elements not being super polished, and a few puzzles that left me utterly stumped. However, we managed to navigate through without resorting to cheat guides, which added to the sense of achievement. The jump scares are executed brilliantly, and the sound design, like the unsettling creaks of the house, combined with the oppressive silence, crafts an intense, chilling atmosphere. If you're a fan of narrative-driven horror with a focus on exploration and survival, Silver Chains does a great job!
I was overall disappointed with this game for a few reasons:
The first being that some of the puzzles I was unable to find the answer to without consulting an online guide (The "Fleur-De-Lit Portrait" Puzzle and the "Roman Numerals Lock" Puzzle). I found no reference to these answers within the game rendering them unsolvable for me which was a let down. Perhaps I had missed something. Also, when referencing the "Roman Numerals Lock" Puzzle online, the code was incorrect and I was able to open the Lock with a different code which I found strange.
Secondly, the Atmosphere of the game wasn't very "scary" and there were very few "jump scares."
Third, the movement controls were clunky and not very smooth.
And finally, The game was not very long at all, taking me less than 3 hours to complete.
Having said all of that, I only paid $1.86 total for the game when it was on sale so I suppose it is still alright value for the price that I paid. I would give this game a 5/10. It definitely could have been better.
It's a rather decent, short horror game. I'd recommend picking it up on sale; I enjoyed it, but the full price might not be worth it.
The game features a short, somewhat interesting story that unfolds as you collect diary pages throughout your playthrough. This appear to have become the standard formula for horror games: you start with fragmented pieces of a story, gradually piece them together, form an initial idea of the plot, discover a plot twist, and finally get the complete story.
It can be scary and a little tense at times, thanks to being chased and jump scares, which in my opinion, are not inherently bad.
The puzzles can be tricky—not because they are hard, but because it's easy to miss a detail. This can lead to wasting time searching for something that was right in front of you. I can see how this might make some players feel that the game isn't worth the trouble.
On average, you can expect to spend 3 to 6 hours to beat it, depending on your play style and how often you get lost.

Silver Chains - A Short but Chilling Horror Experience
“An atmospheric horror game with impressive visuals, a few solid scares, and a tastefully creepy manor setting, but hindered by its brevity and some pacing issues.”
Silver Chains takes the classic horror formula—a deserted mansion, sinister backstory, and creepy dolls—and combines it with an eerie setting and decent scares to create a short but memorable horror experience. Set in an old English manor in the early 1900s, you find yourself piecing together the history of the mansion and its connection to the protagonist. While the narrative is intriguing, it sometimes lacks direction, leading to moments of frustrating aimlessness.
Atmosphere and Graphics
The manor is beautifully rendered with detailed graphics and an impressive level of environmental storytelling. The ghostly presences and the haunting visuals are skillfully executed, with a notable scare factor provided by the terrifying ‘Mother’ character, who delivers some pulse-pounding moments. However, despite its atmospheric strengths, the audio design is only moderately effective, often failing to build the suspense necessary for a fully immersive horror experience.
Gameplay Mechanics
Though primarily an exploration-based horror game, Silver Chains introduces a few chase sequences and hiding mechanics, making it more engaging than a simple walking simulator. The game’s puzzles, though limited, are cleverly designed, requiring some exploration to locate clues and piece together combinations. However, the lack of a quest log and minimal guidance makes the game feel aimless at times, with moments where players may find themselves wandering in circles.
The Downsides
At around 2-3 hours of playtime, Silver Chains feels too short for its full price. Some later sections lack the polish of the first half, with backtracking and progression issues that detract from the otherwise engaging experience. The game’s climactic encounter falls flat, relying too much on repetitive loops rather than an innovative horror showdown.
Final Verdict
Silver Chains is a haunting experience that, while flawed, will appeal to horror fans, especially if picked up during a sale. Though it’s short and occasionally frustrating, its engaging visuals and intense atmosphere make it a worthwhile addition to any horror enthusiast’s collection.

The horror is mostly jumpscares and the puzzles are mostly stupid and you don't know what you should be doing / where to go for a lot of it. The story was entertaining enough to finish it, but don't buy it unless it's on sale for next to nothing. Took 3 hours to complete, could honestly do it in 1 hour if you know what you're doing
For the first 2/3s of Silver Chains has a basic walking simulator feel to it. Everything is very linear, expectations feel clear, and you only have to backtrack 1-2 times. The scares, excluding the very end, are all scripted events But, I think several of the curated scares will successfully make you jump out of your seat.
The later third of the game and ending definitely needed more direction. Even with the monocle tool I couldn’t help but feel like I was wandering around only to find a previous locked door was now unlocked or that an object I was looking for just spawned somewhere I had been a half dozen times already. I also think that the game’s final confrontation feels disjointed from the rest of the game. Overall, I don’t think Silver Chains is a game you need to buy at full price, but at a deep discount it’s not a horrible way to spend 2-3 hours.
Good game for the sale price. Would be fun to speed run. 8/10
Game is garbage. Don't buy it. Dont ask why its bad. Just don't man.
Super short horror game that delivers on eeriness and a few good scares. Not intuitive at times and would have benefited from a simple quest log or interactables that were more visible. I'd recommend it if you can get it on sale, but otherwise not worth the full price for the 3 or less hours it takes to finish.
It's really peaceful game. Not scary at all
THE BEST FUCKING GAME BITCH
I don't have patience for a game like this. Spent 20 min in the first rooms looking at and trying to interact with everything. Started out nice and creepy, quickly became tedious. Uninstalled. Luckily only payed a couple of bucks for it. Obviously some people are smarter - or luckier - than me and are able to beat it, but there are a lot of other games where you don't have to be lucky enough to find some secretly hidden something and you actually get to play.
Great game but the story is a bit twist and turny for me. There are also times where something should be explained a bit clearer or somethings that can guide the player to not get caught by mom especially the 5th running section.
I recommend this game to most players on a sale due to it's short length.

Similar to Layers Of Fear Series, If you like a horror game this is definitely worth it considering for very cheap price during discount
一款简短的恐怖解密小游戏,全流程不看攻略可能也就十个小时左右。看个攻略体验一遍剧情就好。
Took forever just to start it up, ended up having to download the epic games launcher. The game was good till the end, the boss fight took away from the story and was really obnoxious. The ending sucked completely and wasn't worth it.
i recommend this but only on sale. i bought it for the 95% discount and i enjoyed it for what is was for what i spent on it ($1.79). its unfortunately not worth the full price tag. its very short, and rather bland. i liked the style of the mansion and it had a decent atmosphere. the end part was rather tedious however. music was okay, nothing that really stood out to me. i did enjoy the voice acting, and appreciate that it was even in the game as some horror games dont. i rate it like a 5/10
Honestly, not a bad game. For the price, I'd wait for it to go on a big sale because I beat it in about 2.5hrs. It's not very intuitive so I found myself wandering around a lot to figure out what to do (and might have cheated and used a guide on a part or two out of frustration). The story is a bit confusing and weird, but it's alright. All in all, I enjoyed it, but is it worth full price? Nah. I'll give it a tentative yes because I liked the style and story.
good game
GAME DOES NOT RUN IF YOUR CPU IS AN INTEL 11TH GEN OR HIGHER (waited 1 year before playing on a different pc, to realise how bad this is, which i can't refund now).
I regret having bought this at 90% discount, save you money people.
It's just clichés over and over with cheap deaths. The lightning sound effects aren't even timed with the lightning effect in windows.
Random sound effects playin on loop every 2 minutes or so (fake floor craking from walking, etc.).
The first achievement only has 56% unlock rate, which goes to show just how much people runs intel 11th gen and up.
edit: fixed percentage of unlock rate and grammar.
While it may not be extraordinarily fresh or remarkably unique, it's a sufficiently satisfying horror game. However, if it’s not on sale, the steep price might be disappointing.
This is rated by price of, length of, and quality of game per hour. That means if a Game is 15 dollars and takes 3 hours to complete, it's 5 dollars per hour of entertainment. If said 3 hours of entertainment are good for the cost, I recommend the game.
The Price Point for this game is very low, at around 5 dollars. Seeing as it took around 4 hours to beat it, I'll average the cost per hour to around $1.25. This game felt much better than a dollar 25 an hour. The overall design, layout, and quality matched games i played recent for much higher than that. There was only only point in the playthrough where I had to backtrack and really search/puzzle solve to progress forward.
Would recommend, even at full price.
3/10
I didn't like it. It felt painful to finish the game.
The last part on the attic is tedious. Some puzzles were a PITA.
The graphics are good but the same old looks from Unreal engine, nothing that stands out. Sound wise, it's impressive that with such a huge team of sound designers they couldn't make the footsteps sound more natural and less repetitive and mechanic. Also those wood cracks are annoying and get cut abruptly for no reason. Idk why I still expecting something from this demon ghostly haunted house games.
