This is the best game I have ever played and was undeniably worth every penny. I love you spunchbob.
Narrow on completing achievements but so far this game has lived up to it's classic version.
A great fun story with lots of different puzzles and challenges to do, i would recommend for all ages.
Not too challenging but engaging enough, colorful, and nostalgic
I'm a little late on giving my review to this gem, but here it is. I gotta say though this was a very elegant little remaster. Subtle improvements to graphics without hindering performance where I can comfortably run this on my mini PC with a Radeon 780M iGPU at 1080p consistently over 100 fps! Not to mention they never bastardized the original sound tracks like some other so called remasters from old nostalgic games.... *cough* Sly Cooper HD Collection *cough*. Definitely a great game to play when you just want to relax and remember simpler times, or play a nice 3D platformer in general.
A good game for kids or grown-ups watching SpongeBob as a kid. A bit childish for me. Collection of spatula is everything and I'm not particularly fond of collecting stuff as the sole source of story drive. Nevertheless recommend buying on sale.

Absolute Brilliant game! This is a faithful remaster of a childhood favorite game and I'll recommend this game to anyone so that they can develop more games in the future.
Severe technical problems in Rock Bottom Level. Says it has full controller support. When you jump with Sandy, there's a lag on her hook deploying.
Great game, it has many maps, you can play as SpongeBob, Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks.
I highly recommend.

This is a fantastic game for casual fun! I grew up playing the original and that was peak so when i heard they were making a remaster I knew I had to hop on it and I was not disappointed..
Some good points

- Game can be a little saturated and bright at some points (minor issue not a biggie)

This sponge is one tough customer! For all the characters that come from cartoon shows to be turned into a video game, Sponge Bob is the most since. It's got deep lore , goofy character and charming visuals. At of all movie and TV franchise character , people take special care when it comes to SpongeBob. His games are always a blast to play. I never played the original BfBB on GameCube so coming to this game was new to me. Even though I went out of my 100% the game. Its super laid back and chill game to play when you want to relax. Recommend to anyone who likes collectivons or just like spongebob. Your getting both of both words with this tough sponge! 9/10

That's right Mr. Krabs! I got this game out of pure nostalgia, I still remember playing this on the GameCube (along with the Fairly Odd Parents!!!) and second time around...I still liked it lol This time tho, achievements are a thing and I definitely struggled to find every sock, end game is such a grind, but overall it is charming and fun, finished it way before getting every achievement. I would recommend, probably when it's on sale though.
I`ve played Cosmic Shake before this one first, and even tho both games were completed on 100% in roughly the same time, BBFB feels SOOO MUCH LIGHTER. Like, its much more comfortable to play somehow, and time flies by faster, and it would be much more enjoying for players who didnt watch Spongebob.
Otherwise, its the same as Cosmic Shake. Good graphics, funny plot for spongebob fans, a TONS of bugs, and easy gameplay (bosses are epecially easy in this one)

One of my most favorite game from when I was a kid. Tons of fun and plenty of things to do!
Rehydrated is a fine enough version of the original Battle for Bikini Bottom. It's a tried and true remaster, updating the game's graphics to fit a more modern standard similar to newer seasons of SpongeBob, but rarely ironing out any prominent issues present in the original other than bugs and glitches. However, this port on PC somehow creates issues not present in the original or even console versions of Rehydrated. Frame drops, no ability to change performance other than resolution, it's incredibly easy to accidentally duplicate socks and some other collectibles, a lot of the jank from the original is worse here, and (although not personally experienced) crashes are more imminent. I think you'd be much better playing either the original for Xbox, PS2, and GameCube or Rehydrated for modern consoles. If issues are fixed in the future, maybe this will be worth the price it's at.
This game was legit one of the first games I did 100% on which was back when me and my older brother played this game on the PS2 this game was a very nostalgic one to me and it brought a lot of good memories I highly recommend if you want to go for an achievement hunt on this one.
multiplayer consists of running around with ur friend pressing M1 killings robots that dont fight back and then randomly dying cause u touched a pixel of water.
you can see how the developers not only love their work, but also the SpongeBob universe
I was washing the dishes the other day with a sponge and the sponge reminded me of spongebob so i ate the sponge and pooped it out an hour later

My younger brother used to play this on my PS2 back in the day, and I was always pretty dismissive, as I was far [i] too cool [i] for a kids' game like this.
Being much older and my own kids being the right age for this, I finally took it for a spin. It's actually a pretty satisfying platformer that uses the voice talent of most of the show's cast to make a good Spongebob game.
I played the original on the Game Cube when I was little. When I heard this was coming out I was so excited for it. I love it. I really miss the old graphics though. That part is a little too updated for me. Other than that I really liked seeing a old game be redone. Its super fun and exactly how I remember it.
When I finished this game, I felt as if I can finally let go of my non-existent childhood

a decent remaster of a good game. it really feels like all they did was rip a game from the ps2 era of gaming and slapped a fresh coat of pain on it with how clunky some of the platforming feels.

🧽 Haven't played the original, and didn't expect to have so much fun and enjoyment! It's a great and varied platformer, and as a remake of an old game, it's awesome (though not perfect). It has quite a few bugs, all of which clearly won't be fixed, but they don't break the game, and graphically it's much more appealing due to the new, brighter palette, lighting, and lively animations for characters / environments. It's just nice.
It's decent overall, but buggier and feels way worse than the original. Things that worked well in the original don't work as well and behave strangely. You can easily get out of bounds in some maps if you know where to go. The hand animation for falling off the map doesn't work. Then falling animation keeps playing and you fall past the hand making it grab nothing. Where as the original you actually got moved by the hand and it brought you back.
That's just one example of simple things not working the way they should. If you haven't played the original and don't explore you may not encounter any issues other than the weird mechanics.

Decent ideas with poor execution:
- controls are not as responsive as you'd want in a 3D platformer
- complications with switching characters were unnecessary, you should be able to do it at any point
- weird enemy placement at some tight jumping spots which will knock you into the pit
- some collectibles were too random (go into the house and hit a tv with a fist)
It's spongy. And it's Bobby. Respect.

Game is fun but i think the original had a better feel to it
this remake removed the banger of music whenever there was mini robot fights, feels like only 2 spots stuck around.
Comparing original controls to the this new one i feel like the older controls felt a lot more responsive. Ok one last thing to point at, the shadow under the character is finicky so knowing where the platform is under your feet is a little hard to see. there are some other minor changes to make the game play easier. But otherwise its a good game
