many bugs
The Momo Game is a fairly basic Unity asset flipped first person horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, arranged them haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. I do think the actual "Momo" asset that jumpscares you wasn't a flip, though, because it looks awful.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware.
This is just your usual eastern bloc asset flipped jumpscare where you wander around an asset flipped house until the jumpscare thing jumpscares you. This is about as far away from the pinnacle of modern gaming as you can get without being a 2D retro pixel platformer. There's really no serious value as a PC game here. It's just a lazy cash grab.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
This game has been translated from some other language into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers.
The game assets are far from bleeding edge, with lowish polygon counts and somewhat low resolution textures, making this look like it's at least 10 years old. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks poor in comparison to more professionally produced games as a result of their decisions.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 14 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam?
The Momo Game is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
I had zero expectations and was still surprised with how bad it was lol. Got it a few years ago for dirt cheap on a Halloween sale to joke stream to some friends, and was worth a few giggles, but not much else. Buggy as hell.
Decent short horror game that existed to capitalize on the Momo trend. Follow the achievement guide for the key placement. I had problems given you can't outrun Momo, but you can hide behind the chair in the living room. Wait for Momo to go outside and do everything then to avoid death. Took me forty minutes to realize she does that and makes the game a breeze. Grab it on sale if you want to kill a few minutes.

I would like this game more if I could beat it, people saying this games easy but its not. Momo is like a heat seeking missile and kills you everytime and you'll be lucky to turn off the tv let alone call the cops.
I guess its kinda like alien isolation or amnesia cept in a small house with a small backyard and there's really no practical way to avoid momo cause she is like a cheeta and instantly runs for you. And hiding in the lockers don't help much.
If you got money and its on sell get amnesia dd instead its a horror classic. But I'm still giving it a thumbs up cause its momo.

You're not missing much, if you want to use it for a lore video on "Momo" then go ahead.
Seriously, get it on sale, this is worth only about 75 cents.

Janky is the easiest way to describe this. Messy is another. Collision issues and graphical glitches abound.
This was a tough game to play because nothing seemed to work correctly or as intended. Seems like a cash grab riding on the tails of the Momo controversy/urban legend.
I've played a handful of other 'Momo' games and this one is probably the worst. Steer clear friends. <3
Cant pick up phone or open door have trouble turning around. Looks like a good game but momo wont come out and play. Maybe I have to use keyboard, I use xbox one to turn , mouse to move , and keyboard to operate objects, No that's not good , done with momo, bye bye momo.
