This follow up to the first episode is less-than-ambitious. Most of the game takes place in the same location (and time) of episode one. Mostly featuring the same characters as well.

It's kind-of boring, honestly. However, it's needed to set up the events of the much better episode three.

That said, the puzzles are decent. Complicated at times, but not too difficult. (Plus, there's always the in-game hint system if you get stuck.)

A bit slow in that mid 2000's point and click adventure way but it's fun and feels like it could have been back to the future 4 or a mini series.

Very cool story, would honestly make a better movie than a game. The controls are pretty crap and there isn't much "gameplay" to speak of. I think the voice acting and story more than make up for it as Telltale games tend to be more story focused. If you like Back to the Future and wish maybe there was one more movie, you will like these.

The second episode was much better than the first one. Much more happened, the story got more complicated and the episode was even longer.

The second Back to the Future episode is by far the shortest of the bunch, but it still served up some enjoyable story beats. You face the repercussions from the first episode, try to right all of the wrongs, and keep messing with history even more.

I think I simply enjoyed that it doubles down on you actively doing things whereas the first episode was a lot of watching and listening. Now you actually have to plan things out and see them through.

Great series for BTTF! Made me go back and rewatch the movies. The voice acting is great, and the games are fun and a tad challenging at times. Perfect combo. <3

(*** of 5) As tell tale games go, this one also has an interesting stories with some unexpected turn. Still, it couldn't quite hook me. The game felt more like a point and click game. If you like that, go ahead and play it, if you don't, let it be. I really loved "life is strange" and compared to that, "Back to the future" feels awkward. Maybe it's just the outdated graphics, but i doubt it. The story just couldn't really make me dive into it... and the end was rather strange...

Since Steam splits every episode of Back to the Future into a separate store page, unlike newer Telltale games, I'm just putting my review for the entire game here.

A phenomenal adventure game that not only features great puzzles, but is driven by a funny, heatwarming story and incredible acting. It's the best sequel that Back to the Future has ever managed to produce, and made me genuinely care about the original movie even more.

A very nice extension to the established storyline. Great fun with an good sense of humor and timing without too many nods.

This isn't so much an adventure game as an interactive story, but it's a good bit of fun and easy to enjoy.

The puzzle solutions are sometimes quite unobvious, leaving you hovering the mouse over every conceivable object on the screen or simply using the hint system. That's not to say that this game is challenging by any means, on the whole it's fairly easy to breeze through each episode in one or maybe two sittings.

Fans of Back to the Future will love it. Fans of adventure games, you may want something a bit more challenging. Still a great purchase though, and easily a steam sale must-have.

The second episode's story is a marked improvement on the first one, although it's still a short, easy ride through 1930s Hill Valley.

For fans of the movies, there really isn't much of a choice other than to play this series. "Back to the Future: The Game" is one of TellTale's earlier games, and it shows, with very limited choices and a linear story. The story itself also hews close to the original trilogy, down to the same feel when it comes to the final resolution.

Voice acting isn't bad. Christopher Lloyd is around to voice Doc Brown, and Michael J. Fox makes a cameo near the end. They got other voice actors to play everyone else (including Marty McFly and the various Biffs), but they do a decent job. The music is great, right out of the movies. To be honest, if you go into this game expecting to be playing the movie (or an episode of the animated series), you'll know what you're in for.

I really enjoyed this series back when it first came out, but it isn't as good as TellTale's later attempts.

If you loved the movies and enjoy the Telltale style, play it. This is older so it's not the same as, say, Wolf Among Us, (more linear) but it's lovely anyway.

This is a freaking AWESOME game! Did a playthrough of it on my YouTube channel, and loved every second of it. It's a great point and click adventure. If you loved the Back To The Future Movies, than you'll LOVE this game! They even have the voices from the actual movie in the game. I rate it 10/10!

All the episodes are amazing. Great game, it really works as a sequel to the movies and the lore they built fits into the BTTF mythology. If you like the movies, this game is really fun. Some of the puzzles were a little difficult. It is worth a playthrough

I only recommend this game on sale to fans of the BTTF movies. It is a a bare bones point & click linear adventure game with many mildly infuriating components, but the story is a faithful 5 episode sequel to the BTTF movies. You play as Marty McFly in 1985 which starts with an homage to the first movie, but takes place after the 3 movies. I did enjoy this second episode and it fit in the greater story.

This is where it starts to pick up. There are paradoxes galore and a lot of what you love about the back to the future franchise. Gameplay, controls, etc. are all obviously the same. I got stumped a few times, but that made it even more satisfying upon figuring it out. Onward to the next episode!

Telltales Back to the Future Series' Second installment is wonderfully built. As expected from telltale. There is one thing you shouldn't Expect from them in this game, SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTT, "Get Tannen!" is great.
