Really fun and creative puzzle game.
There seems be an android version so the UX
decided main for it, fine for me.
Graphic is not cut-edged but good enough to enjoy.
For the control, I don't face any problem.
The ball do have some physics so it is important to consider it
while using pause.
Anyway, recommend.
There are just a few too many issues for me to give it a thumbs up, and its a real shame.
More trivially, the achievements are broken (I worked out how to fix this myself you can find that in the discussions.), the game is quite ugly, and the background and colours often make it hard to concentrate on what you are doing.
but the real problems are from poor control, and messy or twitch solutions. When you press the spacebar there is a delay in pausing, now its a puzzle game so for the most part you wouldnt expect this to be too bad. Except some levels (Particularly ones where the ball is being bounced around.) require split second twitch timing, or very accurate positioning of the ball.
I actually looked at the solution to a couple of them thinking I was getting something wrong, but no, I knew what to do it was just so finicky and required so much precision from a control that doesnt work very well that it was a huge pain to finish.
Similarly some of the solutions are very awkward. At Lake at Dawn 15 for example, was another level I worked out the solution, went to help to see what I was getting wrong and found out: Nothing. You really are meant to sort of awkwardly block the ball a bit to force it not to go too fast. Make the angle too steep and the ball will stop, too shallow and itll go to far.
This isnt really the puzzle I signed up for. I want a clever and neat solution, not ones that rely on reflexes, coping with poor controls, and almost trial and error positioning of the ball.
Its close though, it could have its solutions neatened up, colours and backgrounds either changed or at least given the option to be switched off, etc. There is a good game in here, it just needed some more hours of polish.
Fun and challanging puzzle/platformer/physics game, if that sounds good to you, you've got a lazy afternoon or two to fill and a buck to spare this should be right up your alley.
As a side note I've been feeling pretty depressed about how society is developing as of late, this is not related to this game at all I just need a place to vent. I mean its hard enough to adjust to a complex society after millions of years of natural evolution without all the new skills humans developed. At least we took a few thousand years to adjust to those but now in just a matter of a few years we need to adjust to globalized economies and the new jobs that are disconnected from anything humans had evolved to do, a completely new set of social communication rules and soon matrix like virtual realities. Our minds can't keep up with it, no wonder millions of people are bi-polar addicts hooked on micro-dopamine-infused-screen-approvals. There is nothing we can do about it, on a global scale at least. Individually we can opt out and only take what benefits us or possibly nothing at all, but future generations are screwed, thing will devolve beyond perversion no matter what just because we can and there is money to make. I know I'm sounding a little like Ted Kaczynskis manifesto here (look it up) but I'm not mad at any institution or person/group here, there was nothing that could have stoped human ingenuity to always make the next step and I can't offer any sort of solution. Future generations will not know the joy of natural human interaction, instead they will have all the worlds information directly hardwired into their brains and yet feel infinitely stupid. Maybe Chemists will fill the hole created by that hollow feelings depression, but it will never be the same... the train has derailed, the bell has been rung, the final sun has set. Our only hope is that out of all this meaningless chaos something new can rise, that future generations can give themselfs new meaning and purpose, that the end of evolution will not truly be the end, but maybe, hopefully, the beginning of something entirely new.
