Cool idea, dead game

I understand that some people think this game hasn't had an update for a while. I can guarantee you it still has an active development.

Please make sure to enter the properties of the game and under the section "Beta", there should be a setting that allows you to play beta. When clicking the drop down box, it should say "bet - beta" there, you'll get the latest updates of the game.

Ignore all the reviews saying it is. If you look at their socials they are doing tons of work (electrical systems, LS engine, etc)

I love it! Extremely Realistic, and for this game to be new, I believe it is a great sim for those who enjoy making, and servicing vehicles

Another seemingly abandoned Early Access title. As of writing this review its been over 3 years since the last update. What a shame, this had a lot of promise.

Yes and No. Great game, lots of potential. Issues I encountered.

Traning....R doesnt switch between manual and auto on the wrench. I tried assigning other keys ...total fail. If this is obvious in some way it wasnt to me.

Oil change took cap off, got plug off and filter....pan placement for oil drain is wonky. Ordered oil and filter. Placed plug back on, tightened to 30Nm no prob.

Put filter on...no idea if its tightened...by the way R doesn't do it (just to a guess) but you get dinged for it so it seems when submitting.

Pouring oil in the funnel is a nightmare. You waste a ton of oil. Trying to read the 3qt oil poured in and get it to be accurate is an exercise in comedy. Then you have to read the 5qt bottle to see if you got the proper amount poured in. You cant see it. You can run V to try to see if it shows up but I may as well be a near sighted 105 year old trying to guess the "glossy" line on the dip stick. Oh by the way if you are wondering what the quarts you should put in...its on the dip stick. There is no manual yet so you are feeling your way through it. Its funny because if you get any reading of Qts on the engine, its on the cap and the last one I have seen on a dip stick was a 1970s John Deere tractor. Hopefully this gets tweaked down the road. If you are a social media type someone probably has stumbled on the answer. I am not an unsocial type of guy, but not much of a community fly....a better neighborhood bar fly for those that get what I am saying.

What am I getting at....the oil pouring and reading and amount should be much easier to do and easier., I want to get to the knowledge of tearing down and rebuilding/modifying a car..not getting good at pouring virtual oil.

I really hop this game/sim makes it....Its has done well but and I want it to succeed. I love that you can get real knowledge and have fun learning and not be broke doing it like real life =).

such a shame they abandoned game, could've been great if devs updated the game.

If you like working on cars or want to learn about working on cars, this is the game for you. The amount of detail in this game is insane. As someone who works on cars for a living, and has rebuilt a few engines, this game is about as close as you can get to the real thing for a video game.

Engine took me 4 hours a brain hurdy. 10/10

Spent £25 on the game for the multiplayer to be a buggy mess, no support anymore, serious lack of development and features. £25 is way too much for way too little.

Game was abandoned. Such potential. Multiplayer still only in Beta. Do not buy

NO UPDATES FOR 3 GOD FORSAKEN YEARS????? EVERY TIME I NEED TO INSTALL IT I GOTTA GO THROUGH THE LONG AND TEDIOUS TUTORIAL. Complete abandonware, not worth its price. go sail the seven seas if you want to play.
It had great potential but without any updates for more than 3 years and with how incomplete it is I'd say its current price is completely insane. DONT BUY THIS

UPDATE THE GAME!!! its been MONTHS since the last update and i want a campaign in the demo!!!!

This game is focused around ultimate realism and I think it achieves that really good but some factors are missing, like:
Not able to start the car and drive it.
No realistic cars, only concept cars.
Only one engine(I4):
These are some things that are keeping me from having 1 million hours in the game.
The developer is working on an experimental branch where there is an hatch back I haven't identified what car it is and I think that it not mean't to be a real car.
All and all I think it's a rely good game i would recommend it to someone that is car interested. And if you are skeptical about buying it I would recommend to wait. The updates are slow but the one that waits for something good never waits to long. Good game.

if your into cars than buy this game. try the beta mode too it has a lot cool stuff.

I wish when you are doing a job for the first time it would show you what to do and i wish that there was a dealer ship and not just a used car app, over all the game is really good and i would recommend it for people who want to be a makanic.

Highly Recommended for VR

I've played this game here and there for a few years. As a miata owner, the level of realism the dev's have put into this help me actually wrench on my real car! Thank you devs for the amazing work you've done so far, and have planned for the future! If you're on the fence about this game. I say get it!

Great game and learning tool for YouTube certified mechanics such as myself. Ignore the lack of updates on Steam, very active in Discord!

I'm learning how to be a mechanic in real life right now, and I have to say that this game is super good once you get the hang of it. Each job makes you progress into a new job unlocking, and it's pretty fast. If you start off knowing what you're doing, it helps you. But, even if you have no idea what an engine is, you can learn pretty effectively just by playing.

This game is so damn impressive! I'm having Owen Wilson moments and just thinking to myself *wow* I highly recommend for VR players. I really like the limited UI approach the team has taken with this. Hats off to the devs for this one!

I love this game, its been a great learning experience and it's a lot of fun. I just with after 6 years it was a little closer to being finished

Development seems to be slow on this title. I hope they continue to improve because this game promises a lot

been in early access for years and it still needs a lot of work. Would refund if I didn't leave it open overnight.

VR players must buy this game, the game quality is definitely what I want in VR, I can touch many real parts, this game is full of educational meaning

I like the concept of the game the videos look very interesting. But for a game to be Early Access for 8 years. I cannot even pour coolant into the parts its supoused to. Of course try the game but not worth the price at the moment.

Closest to a real Simulator for car mechanics, much better than Car Mechanic Simulator. This one includes, bolt sizes, name of bolts, torque wrenches and torque specs.
Includes some hoses to dismantle, gaskets, seals. Down to dismantling calipers and pads, including their sub parts.
I also like how in this, if you can pull the head off the engine block with manifolds still attached... why not?
So no more having to dismantle unnecessary parts just to work on something.
Where car mechanic simulator would have you take of spark plugs and other small parts to take the head off,
this one allows you to work a little smarter.

The only game that goes this much in depth with car mechanics. This game is amazing, i cant wait for the finished product

disassembled the engine and placed all the parts on the ground neatly. then i removed the oil pan cover and placed it on the ground and the physics bugged out. all the little parts fly around the garage with high velocity. i mean that's not realistic: throwing around the parts should come after i became enraged, not before!

great game would like to see some more vehcalls in future with v6 or rotary rx7 engine style as at the moment we only have I4 engine and v8 maybe super charger otherwise great job
