Road to Eden is currently in early access, some of its features are still work in progress and could behave differently than expected.
Road to Eden is played as single player and on official dedicated servers or player created servers.
The crafting in Road to Eden is based on learning recipes by finding books or broken objects from which you learn new recipes. All recipes require a number of items to be able to be crafted, once crafted, you can find the item in your inventory as well as gain experience which is part of the character skill system.
You can build using a wide variety of blocks, from large blocks to thin walls, fortifications, traps, furniture, windows, doors, fabricators, workstations and a lot more!
Building your base in Road to Eden is one of many ways to survive the weather and the dangers that lurk at night
The world of Road to Eden has a variety of randomly generated dungeons, bunkers, sewers, caves with no loading screen, fight your way through the dungeons to gain experience, loot, find rare items, and get skill points.
At this stage one dungeon is available, more will be added as development progresses.
The world of Road to Eden is populated with multiple factions, the infected are ordinary people infected with the blue substance brought by the visitors, they are everywhere and their sole mission is to infect you and other survivors. The rebels are bandits willing to kill on sight, they create anarchy and chaos in the land.
More factions will be added post-release. (check road map)
While exploring the world of Road to Eden you will discover a multitude of locations from small villages to deep caves and crash sites, each location may hide a piece of the story. With each login, all lootable house furniture will randomly generate, making your scavenging visits different every time!
The world of Road to Eden is littered with secret areas where you can find rare loot, some areas are open, others require special items or keys, you can find these items by solving puzzles or quests
As you become part of Eden's effort against the visitors, you will receive missions ranging from clearing out infected from an area to acquiring rare items.
- We are also planning to add special random world events ranging from visitors landings sites to major paramilitary operations, it's up to you to decide if you engage, and how you engage if you decide to do so!
- The random events system will be implemented after Early Access release
- After release we will be adding The paramilitary, well armed and well trained, they won't hesitate to kill you on sight if you interfere with their operation. And finally the visitors, we have heard stories about them, no one knows why they came and no one survived an encounter with them.

Abandonware similar to scum or 7days.
Enjoyed what there was of the game, however the developer has moved on to another game, leaving this one unfinished and buggy. They did claim they would return "someday" to this project, keep that in mind if you're considering this title.

BIG UPDATE:
I know I am guarenteed to attain some repercussion for writing this but I am doing so to protect the rest of the Steam community from the situation I was placed in.
Firstly I want to say look at the discussions of the game's forum and people's comments about the game's production, then the news/updates of roadmap and progress of the games development (note the year of the last posts up).
From there look at the lack of responses from the developer to the community and the sense that this product has just died in the water.
After that, and what I am about to post, take note of the suppression of freedom of speech, being allowed to opinionate comments regarding what you're actually witnessing as they unfold and the unjustification of penalising someone for comments that should not be bannable.
Some time ago, over 10 months but under 2 years (as my comments were deleted by a moderator or the developer so I can't pinpoint the exact month/year) I made two comments on the game forum, which I have had my Steam Profile come up with, 'Your profile is being forced private due to an active Community Ban on your account.'
The terms of the ban was 2 of the following reasons that I will paste word for word.

I have not only had my profile be banned from writing anything on that forum but the ENTIRE of Steam. I can't post on other game discussion pages, I cannot write anything on any other forum thread, including the Steam Community page where I would have asked what steps I could take to resolve this. I have literally had a full account block on doing anything like that. Purely for stating those comments above.
I have contacted Steam Support regarding the bans and their response was to basically pour gasoline over myself, run into the fire and contact the developer's moderation staff - the exact people who thought those 2 comments were bannable - on their mercy to persuade these exact people with reasons to remove a ban that technically should not have been placed there in the first place. Especially since I'm not the only one who voiced the games abandonment.
So if I contact the support team, what then? who's to say they won't extend the ban or, heaven forbid, make the penalty worse because I confronted them on this unjustified decision?
The fact that this was initially just another developer who just lost interest in his project, this has now turned into something where either the developer or their moderation staff has the power to actually severely damage someone's Steam account just because their ego became fragile with a comment they didn't like. I'd half expect if I said something like, "I hate the game" I could quite easily have received this exact ban just on that remark.
I am 48 years old and I not only see any logic with the moderators severe response based by the comment, the ridiculous range of power they have to destroy someone's account based on something that is literally so small and the emmense restrictions they have to be able to not only ban you from their forum (which should have been the case) but the power to make this ban go across EVERYTHING - even past their forum's boundary.
If you purchase this game or post in its forums, just know that you are taking an insanely risky gamble with your entire steam account if you say something that ruffles one of the above mentioned parties. I am writing this because I do not want other Steam community members to relive my experience.
While I understand that one can't expect a polished game in EA, *this* is just mockery. Half-assed, unmotivated, bullshittery at the players expense.
The developer ( one man project) seems to be more interested in creating another EARLY ACCESS game which is pretty much a sequel to this EARLY ACCESS game.
Those who are tired of the endless EARLY ACCESS products on the Steam store will already recognise that this game will eventually be abandoned in favour of the upcoming EARLY ACCESS title that will eventually replace this one. It is a 1 person project, upkeeping 2 games is twice the workload of bugfixing, adding quality of life improvements and feature implementation. Already the offical Discord for this title is getting flooded by the developer of news, videos and screenshots about the upcoming EARLY ACCESS title. Suggesting that people should again spend money on an EARLY ACCESS project while the current one isnt even close to finished.
I'm highly skeptical about this this game ever being finished as I am extremely exhausted by plague of early access titles on the Steam store.

Yes the game itself is great, lots of gameplay done in a unique way however it is more fun with friends as getting through dungeons can be very difficult all alone.
There's quests with unlockable areas that give you access to some more gameplay, excellent weapons, armor and even vehicles that offer interesting customizations.
I got this game because of my friends knowing that I'd love the game, and they were right I love the game a lot but it as it is an alpha it does remain a love & hate relationship due to bugs, missing elements and user quality.
Gameplay is excellent !
What I absolutely hate are the sounds.
Or at least lack of sound settings, the game has fun background noises that sets the athemosphere of the game but it gets very old and staright up annoying after a while. The main problem is that you can not turn them off and you cannot lower the volume of anything. everything is either 100% on blast or its one single checkbox to turn off THAT BLOODY JET NOISE that goes by every so often.
Bonus, the checkbox always indicates CHECKED when you return to the menu and it will ALWAYS BE ON when you retsrt the game.
So the amount of complaints I have about the sound in this game is very popular with my friends and its frustrating to either mute it all in windows ( not a good idea if you want to know if a zombie is destroying your outer walls ) or its deal with the sounds of the game in all its ugly glory.
Major pain in the butt.
Bugs,
every alpha has bugs and this game has a lot of them. Vehicles are outright dangerous, getting in one and getting sent into space and eventual death for no aparant reason is no exception. In multiplayer it gets even more dangerous.
And the list goes on and on which is why I rant so hard about this 1 developer thinking he has enough time to fix this game and develop the otehr at the same time. ( will work for a few months and he'll mark the end of this title soon after. You'll see. OR bug fixes happen once a year while the other game gets full attention. )
I can say more but it would be too much to read...
I love the game and if it had 100% of this developers attention I would have reccomended it to even more people out there but unfortunatly this looks like yet another future abandonware or FOR-EVER-ALPHA just like many others out there. Great potential but yet another let down by developers inability to finish something before starting something new.
i couldn't keep going due to motion sickness, please refine the animations and don't make the camera spaz out when you start sprinting, it made me too sick to play
I will try to make this as short as possible. I very rarely, almost never, change my mind about games, but this game was excellent so far in just doing that. Just so you know this was a positive review before, that looked like this:
"Really one of the best games in the genre out there. Very helpful community. You will have TONS of fun even with the occasional problems that are regularly getting fixed by the Dev.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for the survival, crafting, base building and exploration lovers."
So what made me change my mind? Well, as i went on playing, the "occasional" problems instead turned out to be a MAJOR, pain in the ass, almost (sometimes even so) game braking, game ruining, stuttering shitmix of countless bugs, glitches, crashes - all that topped with bad mechanics and horrible optimization/performance.
I know its EA and i expected bugs but this is almost unplayable in this state, its horrible even for EA standards.
The only thing that is really good in this game is one of the most extensive loot table i have ever seen in a game of this kind, the crafting system and the variety of POIs. I think those were the things that actually put a veil over my eyes so i couldn't see right away how bad is the game actually.
The map layout is a jumbled, nonsensical mess of roads, dirt roads and train tracks with randomly scattered POIs here and there. There are 14 different vehicles, that are bugged as hell, get frozen in place when melee'd by an enemy (which in turn needs game restart to fix) and have the worst control i have seen in a game, its like you drive on ice the whole time. Given that, the roads are basically littered with car wrecks and zombie/ alien "checkpoints", which force you to drive slalom like which makes driving a truly bad experience. On top of that the enemies on the road act as brick walls that stop your car in place. Oh, also random crap spawns in the middle of the road that will crash your car.
Your defenses i.e. Spikes, are constantly trying to kill you, and they will by magically becoming invisible and relocated and kill you when you least expect it. The only 3 times i died in this POS game was by my OWN fucking base defense glitching out on me...
After you put few building parts, like walls or doors or anything, the game gets horrible fps drops it becomes unplayable.
For anything you do, you have to restart the game so it can run somewhat "normally".
These were just ones of the more severe, there are many more other problems that i wont go into now because this text will be too long. I shelved this game and will stick to my negative review, until (if ever) the Dev wakes up and decides to fix the bugs and performance issues instead of just adding more crap that just adds to the overall bad performance and bugs.
Edit: Lol now its obvious that this game will never be finished or fixed and will be abandoned in this sh**ty state as its is - buggy mess that's not worth to even call it early alpha. That a**hole Zouking who doesn't know s**t about coding or game making is truly shoving that he is noting but a scammer who just wants to rip off peoples money without delivering anything substantial. Why do i say this? Well he just recently announced that he will make a new game called RTE Worlds (a.k.a. new scam) without even trying to improve, fix or finish this one. Probably the sales went down for this one, and now its time for another scam. He doesn't care about delivering a product he just wants to scam you from your cash!

This is "7 Days to Die" younger, dumber brother. The interface and combat are super clunky. I had a couple friends try hard to play (I'd rented a server for everyone) and they just couldn't continue. It was like it had been made by someone whose knowledge of game interfaces stopped some time in the early or mid 1990's. At the time we were playing, we looked at other servers and found that our group had tripled the player population .
If I had to describe the game in three words, "Clunky A.F."
After playing for a bunch of hours, I've not changed my opinions but the crafting system is the best thing about it. I like it though it is very very very slow to do things like make stone walls etc.
How can i start this review .... i own most survival/crafting games and ive left them for one reason or another .... either they were not very good or there were cheaters who spoiled the games and the devs do nothing about it.this game is different i have 311 hours logged as i write this review although it is single or multiplayer i have only tried single and it ticks all my boxes .... the crafting and base-building is very good and the enemies are great.ok it is early access but the Devs are very involved and the community on Discord are wonderful and helpfull.one more thing the graphics are great and at over 300 hours i have only just scratched the surface and looks like ill be logging another 300+ hours at least.best survival game i have played and i recomend this to anyone.i have never wrote a review before but i felt this game was worthy of one.anyway i cant sit here writing all day i have some crafting and survival to do :)
So i know i only have a few hours into this game but having a lot of fun with it in both solo and multiplayer modes, everyone starts in the same area so easy to find friends, lots of item to loot and the crafting system is really good, lots of different items to build and craft and i have only just started to learn about the building and crafting more as you need to find skill books to learn how to make the items. only been in zone 1 so far haven tried to sneak into zone 2 yet :) you need to manage you food and thirst, and your inventory weight limit, Yes it have a few bugs and glitchs but its early access and its to be expected. i have not had any game breaking bugs just a couple of little ones. yes i like my early access games and have a few hundred hours in a few and i know I will be able to enjoy this game as it develops and gets better with each update and be about to play this game for hours and hours to come and enjoy every minute of it. keep up the great work Devs and can't wait to see what instore for us in the future :)
i have played aaallllllll the survival games thats om steam and i love this game its very good has a lot of content more cotent than the others...and its differnt than the others so many crafting tables and a huge map so many things to kill and poi . like other games its is in early access but i think it plays better than most games that are in early access and a dev that is working on the game daily.most dev will put a game out take ur money and u just have to deal with the bugs the crashes and bad game play...not the case in this game any problem that i ran across was fixed or he said that he would work on. i really like this game and where its going new content every week somtimes 2 to 3 updates a week....if u want a game with tons of hours of game play than this is the game for u...i normally dont write reviews on games because they all the same and it is wat it is with these games but i had to on this one. this game is awesome i feel one of the best and it gets better every day. if u like survival games like i do than u will love this game just like i do...if u dont i will give u ur money back ,,,strong game man u will live it. i also feel that i needed to set the record straight they is a group of people that are saying some bad things about the game that are not tru...and the omly reason is that they did not get there way or what they wanted in the game...so like a baby they just started bashing the game and the dev.....please please use ur own jugment if u get the game there arew mean people in this would and we cant controll that ...i give u my word as a tru survival game player ...this game is one of the best i have played and i will not sit and let some buttwipe trash it...we have all spent our money on trash games and played them putting up with all kinds of bull....not here ...this game is not perfect but tell me one that is....differnts here is that he cares and works on it daily...so if u want a game that dares to be diffrent and have tons of hours of game play ...then this is the game for u. ....p.s dont talk about my typing i no i suck at it...lol...but i had to review this game because of the group of buttwipe babys that rote the bad one.......thank u for reading this horribly written review...and happy gaming......and if u want come play with me on the french server ....la french connection.....i ll be glad to help u out as they did with me.....again thanks for reading.....and i did not get paid to write this....i need too thou....lmao
Not one to write reviews for games. played most survival games i can get my hands on that offer open world survival and good crafting mechanics and options. After about 80 hours in hosting a private co-op server after joining an amazing discord community that have vast amounts of guides and information as well as many people ready to help at anytime, including a VERY dedicated developer and his team. This game is absolutely amazing, few years into development still early access and few things to iron out. I do backups of my server and game often and can roll back without issue and continue with minimal loss. The developer works so hard on introducing more and more content. The crafting and tactics of your base builds are endless, game balancing and physics needs more work but doesn't spoil the experience for me at all. So many points of interest to explore as long as you go prepared. Looking forward to seeing what this developer and his team have installed in the future for this survival title.
Super fun Survival game and very enjoyable with friends or solo. People who like games, like Just Survive, Miscreated, DayZ, Mist Survival , SCUM, and Deadside Will find this game a great addition. You have have your own Dedicated server if you don't want to join someone elses!
There is tons and I mean TONS of crafting and building you can do in this game that its overwhelming but thats why I got my own personal builder that does it for me so i can focus on other important things XD The map is HUUUUUUGE and I have yet to explore everything ingame. Weapons are enjoyable too and sound great as well. There are also many different types of zombies to be warned when going out at night.
The community is very friendly and the devs have there own discord where you can join. The devs are very helpful and listen to the community to help improve the game as one. Which is very rare where you can find a game that devs are willing to listen to everyone's input.
What I would like and love to see in the future is an MP5 with attachments so I can put a Silencer on it. :) Also love to see the game be more stable, less laggy, and no more delay either but its in Early Access and only 1 person can do so much. I am thankful for allowing us to play his game. The game is playable and fun in its current state but can be frustrating at times.
Very good survival game with some RPG elements, like leveling, quest. Has cool base building. So much to learn and craft. Many different Monsters/Enemies out there as well. HUGE map to explore!
People who like games, like Just Survive, Miscreated, DayZ, 7 days to die, The Forest, Will find this game a great addition.

This game is still in Alpha but don't let that fool you at all! There is TONS and TONS of content to be had. I am surprised it's not in beta to be honest with all the stuff you can do in game. They are also super welcoming on there official discord and the Devs and team listen to their community input and are helpful.
The game is built with free assets, Zouking claims he code for 18h+ a day but me and several former players doubt that. We think he's just learning how to code while tossing free assets into the game expecting them to work.
The official servers i have been on all lag as crazy, the first zone is okay sometimes but when you get to zone 2 and start looting the hospital trying to get equipment for a medical bench (not worth it) it will lag like crazy.
The game is poorly optimized if even attempted to be it. All added "content" the last updates has been new cars and benches with an insane amount of required materials.
The cars are disgusting as hell since they have no weight. They just fly all over the road. The "millions'' of way to customize cars is all well and good IF IT FITS THE GAME. He want this game to attract hardcore survival players but no legit hard core survival game player will EVER use a monstertruck, make a hmmwv with monsterstruck size wheels or trucker wheels and paint it pink...
Me and a friend spent over a week trying to find the materials needed to repair a hmmwv and I was so happy when we got it all together. Just to realise that the car got stuck on EVERYTHING on the road, had no weight so it just flew all over the road and the components decay so fast it would have been a thing to use if it was the only option.
I regret playing this game for over 100h but I do not regret making videos to help the friendly community.
I have also seen the developer zouking snap on several members of the discord who raised their concerns or came with valid points like going over to using mysql to improve the quality of the game. The same day we had had over 35 crashes on the official server we were playing at!
Another event was zouking and some mods belittling a player who had problems making his own server blaming him and more or less called him an idiot.
We also have countless bugs, if the server crashes you lose all the items you picked up and deposited, players log on to find themselves naked with no of their old gear. You die and appear in another player's base and bed....
The game is just awful, fun at first but the more i was playing the more i saw how terrible it was. Eating and drinking every 5 minute "upgrade your stomach" was the answer I got but that did not help. I could stand afk for 15 minutes with a high lvl food and water belly and come back to a starving and dehydrated character...
The inventory and crafting is also a mess, hitboxes and aim is terrible. Shooting a mutant 1 time with a 30dmg shotgun kills it but you need 10+ shots with an AR deaing 56-60 dmg to kill one... Makes no sense!
Not all trees can be cut down, not all rocks mined, audio is dreadfull and only way to adjust the game volume is in your audio settings at your PC and not from within the game...
its 2021 and the games inventory does not even have a sorting function! And ammo does not stack so while looting you have to constantly sort your inventory to reduce weight..
If i knew what i would feel after 267h i would never have bought this game.
the game looked promising to me, having 2K hours into 7dtd i was looking for a new addiction but sadly this game isnt it for me.
I'm all into crafting, building, exploring survival and so on but this game needs a lot of work in order to be fun to me
The beginning is difficult and the quests are a bit of a mess that need structure (make it logic so you can focus on building a small place to stay and create storage, food & water supplies etc) The quests are there now but idk, it didnt work for me... i died because of food/water issues or because OP aliens (even tho i had decent weapons but 7 aliens + & spitter in a starting area building is a bit too much to make it enjoyable for me)
i think this game has potential and i might look at it again someday..who knows? but for now..not my thing
Love this game. 793 Hours and still finding new things. i have not even put a dent in zone1 and 1 spot in zone2 new things being added all the time. i cant stop playing its that Great of a game. The Developer is very active on the discord and everyone is very helpful. Remember its Early Access. it's been worth every hour of game play
first of all game is not without flaws
but it is fun (at least for me)
updates are regular and fixes are fast
community is awesome and not toxic which is extremely rare nowadays
It's EA, it has some bugs, but mostly playable and enjoyable (57 hours play time as of this writing).
Renting a dedicated server to play with a small group of friends, impressed by the amount of crafting content. This game is hard compared to other coop/survival games we've played. Once you get past the refuge camp stone age stage and finally get some semblance of a base, it's super fun.
PROS
- Decent graphics, obviously we've seen way better, but also worse. Feels good enough to me
- Interesting alien/zombie enemies, with a decent variety (f*ck those spitters, man)
- Mini-bosses, bosses
- Tons of crafting, power, storage
- Scary sounds
- Decent weapons, multiple pistols, rifles, machine guns. Also the stats differ sort
CONS
- Combat feels up to a second delayed, so some timing involved, a little wonky sometimes
- Literally half the game time is night, with pitch blackness, which is SUPER new player UN-friendly. My biggest gripe is this (6pm-6am). I would prefer more like 10pm-6am
- EA: some frame drops/stuttering now and then, but not enough to be a big deal
- EA: some missing animation transitions between walking/running, slightly jarring
- EA: vans despawn sometimes, which can make you want to rage quit if you just spent 2 hours on a run, make it to base, exit and then you get spawned back where you started and your van is gone, with everything in it
- EA: crafting menus and stations are functional, but the UI/UX could use improvement, like a search, sorting, or group/tree structure versus scrolling for pages trying to find a recipe in an non-sorted list
SUMMARY
Even with some cons listed, for me they aren't enough to sway me from recommending, I think this is a great game, and even those complaining about the price, at 50+ hours it has totally earned the price in entertainment value. That's the equivalent of two people catching a movie for 2 hours, not including popcorn.
I'm a huge fan of survival games and I think it's fair to say I've played them ALL! This game is in a league of its own!
First things first: Do NOT pay attention to any negative reviews here. (Especially those who got a refund after 90 minutes of playtime or those complaining that it's a cheap version of 7 days to die: not even remotely close)
Yes, this is in alpha, but WOW is all I can say at this stage. This one has all the elements of all my favorites all rolled into one with exciting and brilliant features I've never seen before in any other game!!! I have to applaud the developer on this one!
I love to scavenge and find goodies and in this game there's so much to be found, you'll have to pick & choose what to take at any given time. The crafting is very, very extensive. There are SO many recipes to find and unlock as well as boatloads of crafting stations, hence the abundance of loot to be found. As you progress, you will learn what's important to pick up on any of your ventures out into the world.
The building system is unique. Take a moment to learn how it works before jumping the gun and saying it's no good, blocks don't snap together etc. The discord channel is very helpful and you will find the guidance needed, if you struggle to figure it out on your own.
There's always something to look forward to unlocking and expanding your base. Resources are plentiful as are the threats, which might just make this the best survival game I've ever played. The developer is hard at work continuing to make this gem shine and you will certainly be missing out on something special if you don't add this to your library! Hop on their discord channel, keep up with the goings on, get your questions answered, get a sneak peak at what's currently in the works, offer your ideas, server need a reboot? Just shout out! It's the most active and attentive channel I've come across!
You get lots of different zombies, skeletons, AI bandits, (they will hunt you down and take you OUT so beware) vicious bears, wild boar, (you can kill them for meat but be quick or they'll attack) deer roaming about (plenty of meat to be found) Toxic fat mutants (they will poison you) gigantic spiders, alien creatures and so much more that I have yet to discover! I mean honestly, this has never been done! A spectacular mix of everything you could ever want in a survival game (and soon we'll be able to drive)
You will earn XP while you play, you will be able to increase/enhance everything in your character from hunger cap, thirst cap, health, weight cap, aiming, stamina and more!
They are currently working on fully functioning vans. You'll have to find parts and repair them, of course, but the possibilities are endless.
I've put over 100 hours into this game and I've barely made a dent in the map! It's HUGE! There is so much to see, so much to do and so much fun it's almost impossible not to become obsessed.
For those reviewers complaining about the lack of servers: There ARE servers and yes it's true, they're not in the U.S. (yet), but they function just fine and as I'm logging in from Texas, I never have any issues with lag or performance on the server. More servers will be coming. New updates are currently being tested and people just need to chill out and enjoy the game and remember that it's alpha. It'll be easy to forget that fact, because this is so far ahead of any alpha survival games I've tried.
I have zero issues in performance! Make sure you meet the specs and I imagine that the recommended specs would be the goal because there is so much going on in this game! The weather is LEGIT, world audio is outstanding. Pay attention to the time in-game. Night comes and it's DARK. Typically that's the best time to get some crafting done back at base, while you're fending off the night time vicious hordes! Don't wander about too much in the dark, the threats are everywhere!
Multiplayer absolutely DOES work! For those that complained about that in other reviews, it's possible that it was prior to this feature! I play co-op all the time.
Kudos again to the developer and please do yourself a favor and just buy it!

**UPDATE** Just about 400 hours in game so far and since my original review, a major update came along as well as a patch or two. The game just keeps getting better.
It's smoother than ever. The vans can be driven, but passenger access is not here yet. There are still a few bugs with them currently being worked out. TONS of new building blocks have been added and there's even more to come!
There's an official US server with more to come. Just wanted to mention the ease of setting up your own local server, which is always my preference. They have a thread in the discord channel specifically for setting up your own server and once again, they will help you if you have any issues in the setup.
Suggestion for those who have complained about the building system in other reviews, please take the time to learn how it works! It IS unique and not quite like what were used to but once you get a groove you'll appreciate having something different for a change. (Tip: Aim at the dots when placing your block, rotate until it snaps) it's not rocket science, just something different! :) Look for Survimad on YouTube, his videos are very helpful (and fun to watch)

Iv been amazed playing Road to eden, its in alpha but is more finished then alot of games in beta!
Content in alpha is usual non existent, in this game there are so much to do!
there are POI´s,tunnels, caves, some you need to do in the right order to get access to, have you ever seen that in an alpha?
The map is developed with lots of roads,houses,woods
The game has alot of puzzles that you need to figure out to get to new areas and lootspots
It has a working weather system with rain,mist and day of night
it has many different types of animals , infected , bosses and more
iv played alot of miscreated and thou thats about finished this is better even in alpha
The crafting has a twist, you need to find books for recepies and until you have looted or crafted some resources they are black in the recepie, i had a recepie i just couldnt figure out what i was missing, the icon was just a black line leaning to the right... until i looted a rebar, then it lit up, have you ever seen such deaph in a alpha?
Iv played about 40h and been to perhaps 30% of the map
Base building exists and works
And the the looting.... i love it, i havent found a single house you cant go into and open all furniture and loot!
And the best part, the dev is LISTENING!
He talks to us, he listens and ask questions and tweaks
Iv played so many games that we quit because the devs had god complex ;)
BTW NEVER LISTEN TO THE WHINING KIDS WITH LESS THEN 2H IN A GAME!!

I had to refund the game. The devs should state that although solo play is listed, it is unplayable in it's current state. Absolutely unplayable. Constant freezes, stutters and lag that is so bad, i honestly didn't know it was possible. I spoke with the dev twice and he insisted that there was nothing wrong with solo play and I am the only person to have or ever have this issue. It took me less than ten minutes on their own discord and youtube and forums to find a most people have the same issue. While I was chatting with the dev, two people chimed in to say they had the same problem :/ Just trying to log into the game can take as many as 8 tries. Watch anyones attempt at a playthrough on solo play. YIKES. I was told to play on an official server. Problem is, there is only one official server and it is a test server only, based in the EU. The ping is so high for us in NA you end up with the same issues. I was then told I had to play on dedicated server only and then I wouldn't have the same problems. I would not have an issue with the game if it was actually listed as an online only, dedicated server only game. I appreciate the dev speaking to me, but he offered no solution other than to say sorry the game doesn't work, it's your fault. Give me some things to try at least man. The official forums/discord offered not a single thing to try. I did get of lot of "that sucks bro". Super helpful. I really wanted to play and like this game as it is right up my alley but honestly they didn't seem to care one way or another. I have never in 30 years of gameplay seen a game so terribly optimized. There is a reason there are only 8 people playing this https://steamcharts.com/app/929060 It's like the game is just being made for a small group of friends to play on their own server. Should honestly be taken off of the store page until they change the game modes or fix it. UPDATE: I checked back in today on forums (steam) and their discord. Nothing changed or fixed yet. The few people that are left playing the game are having the same issues. I would avoid this game until they fix the total gamebreaking problems in the game.
