Great puzzle game. Relaxing and calm, and a good level of difficulty. There is obviously a challenge in having limited moves, but it's also an advantage in that you know what your options are. The game layers new mechanics very well and the music is a great choice. Definitely recommend this game for anyone who enjoys puzzle games.
Solid
Golf Peaks
Golf Peaks by Afterburn achieves taking a simple concept or idea and making something unique and enjoyable out of it.
The mechanics of the game are intuitive, and each time a new mechanic is introduced, it is done in a clear and understandable manner, or through a purposeful challenge of reflexion.
The levels slowly increase in difficulty, and can become moderately complex or time consuming to solve, yet they remain within a relatively casual range.
The visual aesthetics of the game are clean, polished, and of good quality.
Golf Peaks is overall a good quality, slightly challenging, and enjoyable puzzle game from Afterburn.
Really fun golfing game, a lot of the levels make you actually have to think. I really enjoyed it!
PROS:
+ charming art style
+ chill music
+ a lot of levels (120+)
+ various accessibility settings
+ great on the Steam Deck
CONS:
- can feel like trial and error
- you do not actually get to swing anything
Comment:
A cool logic game where the goal is to get the golf ball into the hole (duh). But instead of swinging anything with precise power you pick cards that represent this. You can also choose whether to lop over something and you always get four directions to move the ball towards. There are ten areas and each of them adds a new gimmick (and new style) to change up the process of puzzle solving.
The design and the art style are similar to Railbound, the devs other game, but not as complicated. Difficult levels are marked with a icon, usually last three levels in an area. Except for areas seven and ten where all are marked as difficult/bonus. So, relaxing for the first six areas, then number eight as well. The rest requires some strong puzzle solving or a ton of time for trial and error. A nice game worth a try!

fun game with interesting mechanics of playing golf. If you like puzzle games youll like this. I usually dont play puzzle games but still enjoyed the simplicity and depth in the levels. Good game, needs a sequel.
Highly recommend! Seems too easy at first, but don't be fooled, there is challenge! Sometimes even too much challenge, as opposed to the relaxing graphics.
Simple and very good puzzle game, highly recommended.
Pretty cool game. Excellent for chilling.
A little, delicate puzzle game.
I had a great time playing Golf Peaks. The game does a great job introducing new mechanics. The puzzles are slightly easier compared to Inbento. It was overall a very satisfying experience.
I'm wondering if there's some room for performance improvements. Most of the time the fans on my mbp m1 pro were on which I haven't seen that much on other games. But that's really a minor issue.
In the end, it's a big yes from me. Love it!
Short, fun, and novel :)
buy it....
Stupendous puzzle game. Loved every moment of it. Very clear mechanics and great way to show them off one by one. Just loved it all the way through, especially thanks to its very well-balanced rising difficulty level. Suggest to any puzzle game lover
There are a list of qualities that make a good puzzle game but simply put what you are looking for is a simple concept that gradually adds complexity at a pace that is understandable and enjoyable. Golf Peaks does a perfect job of doing this.
Golf Peaks consists of a series of logic puzzles, viewed from an isometric perspective, in which you use up a limited series of cards to move your ball in specific ways to reach the hole. Along the way you'll find different terrain like slopes, sand, water, and bounce pads. The golf theme is really fun. This is a simple game, no doubt, but it has a chill mood to it, so you can just attach a puzzle over and over without feeling penalized.
Yes
Super intuitive lo-fi puzzler that's quite polished and well crafter even of a little short and somewhat unchallenging.
cosy puzzle game
Golf Peaks is a game where you solve minigolf courses using a preset hand of movement cards. Each card has a "hop" component (which allows it to go over ledges and avoid environmental effects) and a "roll" component (which bounces off of ledgers and does not avoid environmental effects), or a combination of both (with the hop always coming first). At the beginning of the game there are only grass titles, eventually adding sloped tiles, ice tiles (which cause the golf ball to slide until colliding with something), rough sand tiles (which stop the ball), water tiles (which stops the ball at the last square it was on), and more.
Overall, its a lot more of a puzzle game than it is a strategy game. Kinda surprising that this is the highest rated minimalist strategy game as well.
Got pretty tired of it after the first 2 hours. IMHO, it just doesn't have the same satisfying or relaxing feeling as a particularly hard Sudoku puzzle.
This was a good relaxer to message and cool the brain down from other thoughts before bed.
Cute, well polished little puzzle game. Each world brings a different mechanic to play with to keep it interesting. Played it over the course of a few weeks by finishing a world or a few puzzles here and there. Definitely pick this game up if it's ever on sale.
8.5/10
This game is really enjoyable, although i have only just started the game i can tell that i am going to enjoy finishing it and i am looking forward to future games you make
Just an awesome little puzzle game. Beat it on the Switch and wanted to do it again on Steam Deck.
Good thinky puzzle game. Not that long or that hard. But short and sweet, still with fresh fun mechanics.
Fun puzzle game with a pleasing art style that combines mini golf and cards together. As you progress through the levels, each unique world provides new obstacles to overcome. Overall it's not too difficult, but some levels can be challenging.
One addition it would benefit from is a course builder to enhance replayability.
Golf
Really comfy and addictive puzzle game. I bought, downloaded, and started playing it all entirely on a whim in the throes of procrastination but I am so glad I did.
I often find with puzzle games that they are really fun for the first hour or so and then begin to become difficult enough that each puzzle takes too long and you lose the enthusiasm to keep opening the game back up, but I didn't really find that with this. Golf Peaks has 120(+1) levels, and of those I think I had to look up the solutions to 4 of them, 2 of which were right at the end (second- and third-to-last levels); besides those, I found most of the game to have the right balance of challenge without becoming tedious.
Extremely worth the money, I really enjoyed my time with it. Highly recommend.
It's the second Afterburn game that I bought, and I can say that I want more.
⛳Calm music, different in each world
⛳Tricky levels (yeah, sometimes the decision is not as usual)
⛳Comfortable color palette for tired eyes ^^
⛳You don't need much time to complete the game
Maybe I would like to get the background story as in inbento, but it's still nice.
Don't worry if you stuck on some level, move in your pace.
is good
Fun and addictive puzzle game. Updated menu adds even more visual interest in the game.
gg
freaking hard D: this team always has solid art concepts and really hard puzzles, do if you dare
absolutely delightful
easy enough to be chill, but difficult enough to make you think.
i've played it one world at a time, i'm sure it would be a little tedious if you tried to do it in one sitting
Awesome
Cute lil puzzler
Good Game
Relaxing card and golf-inspired strategy with a nice presentation. Golf Peaks is reminiscent of puzzle books from a retail store, being casual and accessible while remaining challenging. The difficulty curve was well done, and you require no knowledge of the sport to play while still capturing the essence of the game. Concepts never overstay their welcome, and the pace at which you are taught is perfect, in addition to leaving you enough time to learn from experimentation. There are multiple solutions, fun bonus levels, and excellent accessibility options. Moreover, there are no consequences for retrying or restarting. Fantastic experience for those who love puzzle games!
A fun little puzzle game with challenging levels that aren't extremely difficult. 13/10, would recommend to any puzzle enjoyers.
Nice and kind game. I wish we could have more such games on Steam nowadays
Nice idea for a puzzle game, but I found it extremely difficult to finish, not my cup of cake.
Recommended for those that like puzzles > golf mechanics, but a nice blend of both.
Some of these puzzles get really frustrating and confusing, the undo button is a godsent though. Don't play this if you're in a bad mood. It's not afraid to give you a challenge once you get out of the earlier worlds, which is sometimes sorely missing in puzzle games.
Golf Peaks is incredibly satisfying! The combination of golf and puzzle elements creates a unique and addictive experience. The levels are well-designed, gradually increasing in difficulty without ever feeling frustrating. Plus, the calming visuals and music make it a joy to play. Perfect for short gaming sessions or longer puzzle-solving marathons!
Very fun, short puzzle game with a golf theme. Enjoyed it quite a lot!
Just a fun little puzzle game. I enjoyed it.
Short and sweet puzzle game. Doesnt overstay its welcome. Not especially golf-related.
ok
Fun and quick. Starts to get challenging about halfway through, but not too frustrating. Good level design. Some puzzles require an understanding of the mechanics. Some have clever paths and red herrings. Some just require basic math. Worth 5 dollars, and especially 1 when it goes on sale.
Fun, creative, and quite pretty puzzle game.
Golf Peaks has 10 worlds each with their own unique mechanics, which are always demonstrated in the first level with a simple puzzle. You know a puzzle game is good when you learn as you play and experiment.
It has very relaxing music and toned down colors.
Loads of content for a small price.
I just wish there was some more lighting/shadows, because sometimes it's hard to see if a platform is raised or just further in the back.
