dude im so addicted to this game its not even funny. my new balatro is this game. i have 26 hours but into this game and i bought it last week.
I grew up on this game when i was younger and played it faithfully. I highly recommend this game.
Great game. Brings me back to my old bedroom.
A Tycoon where you get to build and Manage your own theme park. Build Rides, add food and drink kiosks. Enjoy the game!!!
Once I finally got this game working, I haven't stopped playing! Such good memories playing this in the early 00's. Classic.
I loved this game when i was a kid back in the early 2000's and I'm absolutely thrilled to find it again! So many wonderful memories
Exactly how you remember it, running exactly as you remember it. A blast from the past kept in pristine condition and still running like a dream on modern systems. A must have for anybody born before the year 2000.
This is a great classic game! Although I do wish there was a modern resolution I could set it at because even at the highest resolution, the game is stretched a little bit.
Played when when I was a kid. Now as an adult I have the same fun but with an understanding of the financial involved in the game. It like own and building your own theme park without the real life conquences. Though my play time is low now it will continue to grow greatly
What a nostalgia trip this is 🥹 Still works great on modern hardware!
Classic game, classic fun.
It's the very same that we played in the 2000s. Love it.
Its a great old school game. Lot's of fun.
it is a old game but the best same for 2
Just about the best game ever created. Fun look and gameplay.
Amazing Tycoon. Looking Forward to Play More!
True classic. Would recommend using this game with OpenRCT2 for the best experience (look it up).
First played this game when I was a young child on an old version of windows that no longer works. (Windows XP or something) Now as an almost 30 year old, I still love playing this game! Mostly nostalgic but I love the open world/sandbox style, you can play to accomplish goals or just play to enjoy, and you can build your own coasters. Easy to understand and navigate, old game mechanics, classic game, many maps to choose from, and lots of achievements to gain. Highly recommend for gamers who enjoy the classic PC games and/or building your own attractions.
Worth the 6 dollars and its one of those nostalgia games!
my obsession started in childhood. it has an enduring allure. try my colony if you run out of rct. it kinda fills the void.
10/10 fun to drown people
Got this game because I remembered that post online of some guy's little brother playing classical music and playing Rollercoaster Tycoon, and I thought it'd be hilarious to try out myself. I've enjoyed my time playing this game, though not fully understanding how to do things, but it's still fun.
My god, the nostalgia... and honestly, in terms of gameplay/replayability, this game is hands down a classic.
This is the first computer game I introduced to my 7 year old son, and now he's a pro (probably accounted for at least 100 hours of my 142 played here).
Fun for basically all ages and individuals. Easily a game that withstands test of time and is an all time classic.
A true classic to its name
Ahhhh, fond memories. Really got into building my own coasters when I was a child. So many dead park guests...
One of my favorites from my childhood, still a blast
best game
I have played way more than 3 hrs just not on steam. Love this game!
Great game. Can play this for hours. This Steam version is a little buggy though, but its still very playable and fun.
The GOAT of the classic sim games. Still as fun as ever.
Still plays like it did out of the cereal box. 10/10
Love this game. I've played it since I was a toddler. Brings back so many memories!
Classic, easy fun. Fun hit of 2000’s nostalgia
Great game i love the classic vibe that it always has
This is a entertaining game with days worth of content and has a fun community!
basic Sim game that takes me back to an easier time. Played this game when i was a kid. No changes made. so if you like the old games from the 90's this is a relaxing game so much that sometimes you'll forget the goal of the level until a month or two before it expires.
a good introduction to the rct series! really got me hooked on it. im about to get rct 3 tmmrw! if you wanna try an old school game you have gotta try this absolute PEAK!
still holds up, good game for listening to podcasts to
Continuously crashes when using Windows 11. Unfortunately unplayable.
Honestly, this game is just too slow and too boring and too easy. Basically, what you do is just start a scenario where the goal is probably something like "get one to two thousand guests in two to four years", you finish your goal in, like, half that time, and then you sit around for the next two hours waiting for the scenario to reach the end date so you can repeat this process with the next scenario, and it's just honestly not fun after what feels like the hundredth time you've done it
Maybe some of the later scenarios get harder and provide some sort of an actual challenge or something or just ANYTHING to make the experience interesting and worthwhile, but I honestly couldn't tell you because I've played this game for over 30 hours and STILL haven't gotten to the later parts yet. You shouldn't have to sit through 30+ hours of mind numbing boredom just to MAYBE get to something that's worth your time, so I can't in good conscience recommend this game to anybody.
Of course, that's just looking at the game from the perspective of a completionist who's here to finish all of the goals the game presents to you as quickly and efficiently as possible and then move on, but one could also play this game as just a casual sandbox game where you just build neat things because you like them and don't worry about winning or losing, and if that's you, then sure, you'd probably enjoy this, and judging by the huge number of sandbox games on Steam, and the number of roguelikes (Because in my opinion a roguelike is a game for casuals, because my understanding is that the basic idea is "You died, we've deleted your save, you have to start another playthrough now" and/or even if they don't delete your save, it's at least highly possible to get yourself in a bad situation where winning is basically impossible and the best thing to do is just start over, and if you succeed in a playthrough, then it's not like the game is over for you now, but there's always the ability to play a new playthrough and get a fresh and new experience due to the randomization, or in other words, winning and losing don't matter because either way you still just play again until you get bored with it, and so the point was just to play the game and not specifically to achieve the goal of winning the game so you could move on, or in other words you can't truly lose because even when you lose you achieved the REAL goal of just playing the game at all, and in that regard it's the same as a sandbox game, so no, you aren't cool and hardcore for liking Permadeath APM Master Ultradifficult, but you're just as much of a casual as the grandma who plays Cozy Relaxing Kitten Sim 3000 or whatever, not that there's anything specifically "wrong" with being a casual per se, and ultimately a game is, you know, a game, and by definition the point is to have fun, but the prevelance of casual gamers is annoying for me personally because it means 90% of the games on Steam are stuff that doesn't appeal to me and I have to sort through SOOOO much stuff I'm not interested in every time I go through the Discovery Queue, and if I see another game that looks almost kind of interesting only to be disappointed again when I check the tags and see that it's ANOTHER roguelike deckbuilder city builder idler autobattler hentai backrooms social deduction dating sim (with farming elements) then I'm gonna hurl. Honestly, I wonder sometimes what's it's like to be part of the 99% of people who apparently enjoy these games and to have a never ending fountain of new and exciting things to play, then I remember that I like RPG's and can find a new one to play at the drop of a hat, so, yeah, that's probably what it's like), and the number of party games with lackluster gameplay where the main appeals seems to be just goofing around with friends, or just whatever, there are probably a lot of people on Steam who would in fact enjoy just messing around doing nothing, but even to these people I don't recommend this game, and why not? Simple, because it's my review and I can do what I want with it, and rather than encouraging a habit that I frown upon, I recommend that you play anything else instead that has an actual point to it. You're of course free to ignore this recommendation and play the game anyway, and you'll probably have a good time doing it if that's what you're into, but just know that somewhere out there I'll be frowning SOOOOOO hard about it.
The best part of this game is when you learn you can charge money for the bathrooms. I would highly recommend!!!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An Absolute Classic That Still Holds Up!
RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe is a must-have for any fan of simulation and strategy games. Even decades after its original release, this game remains one of the best theme park management experiences out there.
The charm of this game is unmatched—from the satisfying park-building mechanics to the endless creativity in designing your own coasters. The classic pixel-art graphics still hold a nostalgic appeal, and the sound design (yes, even the guests' screams!) brings the park to life.
Despite its age, RCT Deluxe runs smoothly on modern systems thanks to the Steam version, and with all the expansions included, there’s an incredible amount of content to enjoy. Whether you’re completing challenging scenarios or just having fun in sandbox mode, this game is endlessly replayable.
If you love simulation games, RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe is a timeless masterpiece that’s worth every penny. Highly recommended! 🎢🎡✨
A true classic. Simple, addictive, and with enough scenarios to keep everything interesting.
Nostalgic and simple. I like the little challenges to pass time.
This game is like a nostalgia trip. I remember winning this game in a Cereal box when I was a kid and booting this up on my family PC. I thought the graphics were insane as a 5 year old.
This game recaptured me AGAIN years later. Still plays like a charm and it blows my mind how optimized this game was. Being written in machine language it is not bloated and runs on anything. I can recommend this to new players to give RCT a try, and for old people like me, it is still a blast!
Brings me back to my childhood. The game still holds up after all these years, no other management sim does it like this one.
I absolutely recommend this game! hundreds of hours on windows XP!
Pros: -Build theme park
-Control fates
-Be a literal park god!
Cons: -doesn't run right sometimes on newer PC's
-Your're park rating has gone down following an "Accident".
played this game growing up and it never gets old! classic and i love classic games the new generation wouldnt understand
This game is a classic for me. I used to play when i was younger, got the game from cereal box.
It's even better today because i'm actually doing the missions.
Yes it's old but love it so much.
