Measures performance and FPS whilst in VR, very handy tool to have.
Yes
Best thing I ever bouth to VR. It provides quite basic functionality to show you your current time, helmet charge, fps when you look at your wrist. But you have to configure it to be unobtrusive.
vital for vr gamiing
If you play a lot of VRChat, its a rather essential piece of software to have on your wrist to keep track of your framerates.
Worth it, really good for figuring out what the hell your PC is doing during VR
Provides the proper information to tune your VR settings to get the best possible performance.
chad
just works
Yes!!!
Good For Checking Your Fps In Vr!!
Good and useful for when I want to see how my game is running.
Yes
I have had this application for a while now, but have only recently started using it more frequently while I try out different hardware configurations. This is hands down a must have for VR if you are trying to dial in settings and want to know what impact the changes you have made on the fly. The last 2 games I have tested (Alien: Rogue Incursion and Subside) I have used this app to dial in the perfect settings configurations without having re-projection kick in. Now I can play both at 72Hz pretty much solid and have the fidelity much higher than I typically do. Especially for Subside. If Alien: RI gets some optimization patches, I could push that game even further. FPS VR is a fantastic tool.
Finally, i can see if i'm lagging or hallucinating

Perfect for real time info
Its GPUZ for VR Headsets
I rarely use this but it works well.
politely reminds me passive aggresively that my computer is balls and im a moron for not getting a new one
Where is my free fps in vr bro?
very useful at times but make my games stutter and micro stutter alot
It's a shame that software like this is needed to be honest, but as it goes this does exactly what you want it to
Set it and forget it type utility, the history viewer was useful to determine the target FPS should be 90 or 120 for my Quest 3, and the bottleneck being my CPU or GPU. Worth the small money for sure.
It's very useful for every Vr Game. Super quick and easy way to check Gpu Temperature, Fps, Clock and much more specs. Worth every cent!
I was having issues with some of the more demanding VR titles, like Alien: Rouge Incursion. After searching online, I saw recommendations to purchase this tool, so I did. What can I say about it? WOW! This tool has helped immensely in understanding what is happening in the background with your GPU and CPU, the amount of resources and VRAM that are being used, and if its being strained enough that reproduction turns on, which is a feature you DON'T want to use.
The main performance issue is literally Steam VR itself. I use a 3080 which has 10GB VRAM. When Steam VR Home turned on, 6.6GB out of the 10GB is already being used and wasted. Turning off the Steam VR Home Living Room and just leaving a static image has massively dropped the VRAM usage from 6.6GB down to 2.4GB. With all this extra VRAM, the performance improved immensely. Now it was running max, still using reproduction, but I gotten somewhere.
The next step I've noticed is the default eye resolution was almost 4,000p. I dropped the in game resolution to what the PSVR2 is, which is around 2,000p per eye. This completely changed the performance to full on stable and playable. Lastly, the only thing left was the actual in game graphics settings. This is obviously on a game by game basis, but just because I changed the first two settings, along with using FPSVR to see the performance change on the fly, I was able to successfully make any VR game work the way it should. If you're into VR and are struggling to get your games to work, BUY THIS APP! It is definitely something you will always use.
Very useful for getting the best out of your VR and PC!
mm i'm thinking of playing for 59 more minutes
best First Person Shooter for VR
This helps a lot to play around with settings and find the best optimized solution.
The MSI Afterburner, Riva Tuner, CapFrame X of VR.
If you want to optimize your game perfornance settings or trying to understand what causes your stutter, lag, utilisation, then this is that tool you look at first.
It starts with VR and I take a peak in every game (set it so its hidden on the palm side of my hand) just to see that everything is green. Why? Because things change and I want to know if the game runs fine before I get noussea, not after it.
So if you use VR just get it.
Another Good Addon for VR and VRChat👍
A great tool for tracking game performance during VR sessions — much more detailed and user-friendly than the SteamVR overlay.
Cool watch
FPS!
This software is amazing, totally worth the 4$ and frankly worth more. it is a great system to show current problems/throttling when playing, along with all the other utility. i cannot find myself going back to steamvr without this
it works.
Totally recommend this software if you are a weirdo like me that wants to check your FPS at all times, it's also really good for testing render resolutions and quality settings. My favorite feature by far is the Cable Untangling which shows you how much you have turned and you can follow the arrows back to untangle yourself (this even helps with pulley systems!)
Plus, being able to manually move the FPS and clock is amazing to have, now I just look at my wrist for the time instead of having to pause the game.
great overlay for keeping track of VR performance. less obstructive that SteamVR's built-in performance graph
Great and easy to use app.
It´s really convinient and helps a lot when you´re new to PCVR and still tweaking in your settings to get the better FPS and the best perfomance.
fpsVR is the gold standard for monitoring in-game performance metrics while in virtual reality. Very useful and highly configurable. Easily worth the $4.
The only complaint I have is the lack of Linux support.
Works well, is more than an FPS counter (e.g. also an in gane watch!). Got a block from Avast, from the driver change that is being used to detect CPU temp, but the developer made it so that everything else still works, even though I didnt whitelist the program. For that excellence I came here to post a deserved positive review!
Essential software
10/10 recommended to diagnose issues within VR with lots of useful extras!
Yes
The OG overlay tool for PCVR enthusiasts.
Lots of information, lots of tweaks, the ability to change many of the SteamVR settings, along with a solid tool for de-tangling the cable... and many more I don't generally use myself.
Boo womp
works
does exactly what it says .
maybe one day steam vr will improve and we won't need this, but for now i would say this is worth the money.
