Her mother's hatchday is just around the corner and Zniw is trying to find the ultimate gift. This young yellow female dinosaur is armed with a sharp tongue but lacking in navigational skills. As unfortunate events unfold, Zniw ends up far from her hometown of Wajapulka. While desperately trying to find her way back she stumbles in on a major problem in the neighboring village.

A fun point and click game with lovely animations, colorful characters and lots of puzzles! Loved reading all the encyclopedia entries, I hope we get another game in this world some day!
Super charming in every aspect, the story, the animations, and can't forget about the music. I'm not that into point n clicks and even then I loved this game. It will keep you entertained for a long while and best of all, it's pretty affordable. Give it a shot.

I saw some artwork of this cute little game, and eventually caved and bought it. Only a few days later, I had finished it, and would now like to spread the word about Zniw Adventure that I think deserves more exposure.
It's intentionally going for the 90's point and click vibe, and you get to play a bright-yellow dinosaur getting into trouble.
Don't let the comic look deceive you - this is a proper point'n'click adventure game, with a proper plot that's not dumbed down to baby level. I, personally, stuck because of the style and the characters, and I took about 8 hours in total for my first run. It's chock-full of love and charm, and created exclusively by two people.
They're a teeny, tiny studio, and if that sounds at all interesting, check it out!

As a point & click adventure game, the endearing art style managed to win me over enough to buy it. Everything felt cozy from the story to the characters and how much I cared about them. Even the music was more than enough to just hum to. Definitely worth getting if you have the itch for such a game.
Zniw Adventure is a point and click adventure game released by the Polish developer Azure Mountain in 2020. It is a lovingly animated game about the dinosaur Zniw and the adventures she undergoes after setting out to look for a last minute “hatchday” gift for her mother. Despite being released in 2020, the developers deliberately go for a ‘90s point and click adventure game feel, with loading screen references to CD-ROMs and matrix printer noises when saving your game.
The game uses familiar point and click adventure mechanics, as Zniw wanders from screen to screen, talking with the different dinosaur characters she encounters, finding items to take with her, and using those items on the environment or each other to progress the game. The puzzles themselves are on the more difficult side, involving backtracking to areas you may have thought you were done with to complete, or locating objects that are not obviously able to be interacted with when you encounter them the first time around. The game eschews any kind of handholding, with no hints or something like the ability to highlight interactable objects that you see in other examples of the genre. Seasoned fans of point and click adventure games will likely appreciate that you have to spend some time, thought, and trial and error to solve many of the puzzles, while dabblers in the genre (like me) will likely have to find a guide or go to a forum for help in order to complete the game.
The art is where the game stands out, with lovely animated sequences that bring Zniw’s adventures to life, well-designed prehistoric environments, and an expressive cast of characters that help and oppose Zniw on her journeys. I am not the biggest fan of the point and click adventure genre, but the art and animations made the game such a pleasure. All the characters and the interactive sequences are animated with so much personality and humor.
The English language version of the game had a little bit of clumsy writing that may have been due to being translated from Polish, but overall the plot was interesting and there was a strong cast of great characters who were fully realized. Zniw herself is a strongly written protagonist who speaks her mind and can be clever, charming, and brave but also abrasive, frustrating, and short-tempered at times which gives her a lot of depth. The friendly and adversarial relationships she develops with the other dinosaurs she encounters on her journey make you feel attached to all of them.
The game currently sells at full price for 8.99 USD. My playthrough of the game lasted about 6 hours, and upon completion you can start a new game plus to replay the game with all the collectibles and extras that you unlocked already found, and attempt to find the rest of them. Scattered throughout the game are shiny pebbles, and as you find more you unlock things like concept art pages and hidden minigames.
I did find the game frustrating at times. I always intend to play point and click adventure games without any assistance, and while there are some that I’ve managed to complete without ever turning to a guide once, this was not one of them. You need to be very thorough about scouring the screen for items you will need to progress a.k.a. “pixelbitching.” Some of the puzzle solutions aren’t obvious, and you will need to recheck previously “cleared” locations as characters relocate, or items that were not relevant or usable become a part of the next puzzle’s solution. Again, I’m sure this is all nothing to seasoned fans of the genre, or people with more patience and time to wander around the game and experimenting with different combinations of items through trial and error. There is a fan-made guide that will give you gradual hints rather than completely revealing the solution, which makes for a nice middle ground, and the story and art style won me over so completely that I was playing more for that than the gameplay.
I’d recommend this game to any fans of the point and click adventure genre, or to people who look at previews of the art and animation and find it compelling with the caveat that you might need to look for outside help if you struggle with old school point and click puzzles.

A delightful adventure from start to finish. The puzzles are straightforward and logical, the characters are adorable and the music is chill. The art and animation are also fantastic and gave me strong "Bone" vibes.
I recommend it to lovers of dinosaurs, comics, dinosaur comics and family friendly adventure games in general.
