Steam version sucks..
Avoid it.
Try GOG.
Wow, just...wow. This game totally surpassed all expectations and has ended up being such a great experience. There is so much to love about this niche and quaint game. Is it derivative of Tomb Raider? Unapologetically, yes. Does it still retain the charm of the original trilogy/fate of atlantis, also yes! In my opinion, this is a must play for anyone who really enjoys the franchise and yearns for more great adventures!
an great story in the Indiana arcs, would be awesome if they revamped it for the graphics. good to play with controllers or with keyboard. some decent puzzles along the way, not too hard if you take the time to explore and think it through. sometimes on newer consoles has a few glitches. A nice spread of weapons and artifacts to find. All up a great game.
Great game that only requires a quick notepad file edit to get running on Windows 10 in 2025. Well worth the cost and runs you about 30hrs a play through.
Unfortunately, this game is unplayable and shouldn't even be available for sale. I have tried repeatedly to get it running on my computer, but there's always some problem that stops me. I have gone into the files and followed tutorials trying to get this program to work, but just hovering over the lighter in my inventory immediately crashes the game.
I played this 25 years ago, and I still think this is one of the best games ever made!
$100 + on Ebay for an old crusty N64 cart with a Blockbuster sticker plastered over the art. $2 here on Steam. 🤔
A little clunky but hey', so am I. I'd recommend if you like Indiana Jones, old video games and/or, the glorious 90's. 👍
classic n64 and ps1 game
Saving and loading via the menus is borked on Linux. I hear that quicksave works just fine though. This game is cursed.
More classic Indiana Jones with Tomb Raider style gameplay.
Feels kinda weird to say it, but this was among my most memorable gaming experiences of 2024. I love the hell out of this game, absolutely adore it. It's clunky, and it's slow, and it's often obtuse in the fashion of classic point-n-click games (I needed a walkthrough for most of the game), but... somehow, that all washed off me while playing. Instead, I felt transported by the adventure, constantly surprised by its scale - it took me 30 hours to beat. The opening chapters exploring ancient Babylon, and later Himalayan monasteries, Malaysian ruins, Mexican valleys, Egyptian pyramids, mines, Russian warships; outrunning boulders and escaping from armies of Soviets; minecart rollercoasters.
But what's overwhelmingly stayed with me, nearly a year later, is its charm. Maybe it was just the novelty of playing a game my own age, but my god was it charming. The voice acting for Indy, which was more Ned Flanders than intrepid adventurer; the charismatic villain, Volodnikov, who grows to have an interesting relationship with Indy; the gameplay variety, from platforming to gunfights to boss fights to driving sections to puzzle-solving; the drip-feed of new mechanics as you find more pieces of the Infernal Machine, from levitation to invisibility; the bonus level homaging the opening of Raiders of the Lost Ark; the comic sans credits.
It's awkward to play, and sometimes broken (at one point, I had to edit an .ini file or something to stop a level crashing), but I strongly recommend pulling up a guide and giving it a go.
this is one of my favorite childhood games every second playing this game makes me feel like i am 10 again with no care in the world also the game is just simply amazing!!!!
The Adventures of Indiana James American hero. This is one of my favorite games of all time, a true gem that everyone should play at least once.
keeps me amused
It's Tomb Raider, with more puzzles, staring Indiana Jones. What's not to love?
The one jumping section in Shambala Sanctuary can't get fucked, that drove me insane as a boy.
I’ve only played this game 30 mins and the controls are so messed up that I keep walking off a Cliff on the first mission and steam won’t give me a refund… for $5.99 I could’ve bought this for N64…. I feel cheated
The first 3D Game I played and one of the best at the time
