Not bad. Not bad at all. Especially for a single-person project.
It took me about 5 hours to finish the game, and I spent about $5 on it, so no complaints. It was actually longer than I thought it would be.
A few random thoughts.
I have a vague idea of the story, but nothing is really clear. It seems like a simple story told in a non-linear, convoluted way. Or maybe it's a complex story told in a non-linear, convoluted way.
Once I got to some platforming sections, I fully expected the game to break down. However, these sections are designed well enough that they aren't frustrating at all. A few sequences took numerous tries.
The stealth/chase sequences were also relatively painless. They're on the easier side, but some took me quite a few tries to figure out.
There's a fair amount of variety to the gameplay. Exploration, puzzles, platforming, stealth, chase, reading.
None of the levels outstay their welcome. A few come close, but the game has a good sense of progression. You can play a bunch of levels at a time, or just play one and get through it in a limited amount of time.
Conclusion
I don't remember how I heard about this game, probably from a random comment in a Steam forum on another random game. But I'm glad I found this game. It took me about a year to finally play the game after buying it.
The game reminds me most of Soma or the Amnesia series, although less mechanically complex and with a much lower budget. But everything is executed well enough to make this a solid recommendation with few complaints.
I'll probably get the developer's other game Ad Infernum soon enough.
It's pretty decent. And especially on sale you're getting a good bang for your buck. There's no real jump scares, just interesting environments to find your way around while a fragmented story is slowly pieced together before your eyes. I definitely enjoyed it. It seems incredible unknown given the number of reviews but it's a lot better than a lot of the budget horror games you'd get on steam.
crazy artwork and sound. unique story and mechanics. sneaky stealth and running for your life are both needed. I like it. all for $10.... good deal.
One of a handful of games that made me feel genuine dread, in the levels with monsters to avoid. The rest is pretty good too.
Decent horror game. Not a pure horror game though. There are some platforming sections, some puzzle sections and sections where you have to avoid traps. So the game has a pretty good variation. It is also quite long with a playtime of about 4 hours for such a game and for that price. Graphics are ok, framerate is good and the gameplay is usually quite fun.
What I didn't like: the game feels stretched at some points, especially at one point where you think that the end of the game is near but you only got half of the game at that point. Some other levels also feel like they should have been way shorter.
Then the story: I basically have no clue what it was about, way too confusing and fragmented.
And lastly some of the enemies suck.
Still overall a good game which I do recommend. But don't expect anything great.
The game turned out to be much more than I expected. It wasn't too heavy in the horror game genre...more like an escape room puzzle (which I love to play). That's not to say it was all rainbows. It definitely had its moments of terror and panic.

Summary:
Great horror game with interesting visuals and a nice dose of symbolism in its imagery.
From the scenarios we've done so far, they seem pretty bite-sized (in a good way!) with straight forward objectives like locating a key or simply escaping. You're being hunted by a pretty intimidating monster and we absolutely LOVE the audio and visual effects that happen when it gets too close or captures us. Gameplay-wise, it never felt unfair if we were caught by the monster, and the peeking mechanics when sneaking around felt solid.
The story shapes up in a very non-linear way with the promise that it comes together in the end. We're not quite there yet, but so far we are enjoying gathering the pieces of each part of the story and trying to make sense of it.

Hello there, it's me, the evil developer. The ***hole who always gives bad reviews on games because of big bugs and quality issues. So i'm really glad i can finally recommend a game after playing a lot of crap here on steam. If you want a piece of quality with a good replay-factor, well, this game is for you. If you have enough of all these "spooky house with murder/zombie/ghost" games, if you got sick of all these asset flips here on steam, then try this game. For me it was perfect, it has the weird factor, the gameplay and the fun i wanted. And all this transported in by a great art style. It has all settings and configuration-options a game needs, it's well optimized and runs smoothly with 120-160fps (Nvidia980). Took me three nights to finally find a game i like. And i prefer having 5-6h of great gameplay than 15h of bugged gameplay and often 'no fun' like in many other games here. This game does exactly what i expect from a game.
I wanna start this review off by saying, I have literally no idea what is going in this story. It is very difficult for me to follow and understand. So if you're looking for something linear and easy to follow, you've come to the wrong place. Inversely if you're looking for something that you have to piece together bit by bit to something like dark-souls style story telling (with scattered bits of lore to find). Then you've come to the right place. Can't dock points for creative decisions.
Now on to the gameplay, the game plays like a typical outlast-like horror game. You've gotta avoid the enemies using stealth while solving puzzles. So if that's your speed then I'd pull the trigger immediately! I'm also a huge fan of the use of psychological horror, there's going to be a lot of confusing moments but it seems like it's relatively well done if not a little disorienting. Seizure warning though, for any player that's sensitive to flashing lights.
