Предыстория
Был солнечный день. Спокойствие и идиллия царили в доме нашего безымянного современника. В один миг все переменилось. Круша все на своем пути, в дом ворвался антагонист… Наш герой сражен. Похищена любовь всей его жизни. Вам остается лишь одно – последовать за ним и вырвать ее из цепких лап негодяя. Однако, не все так просто. Придется пройти долгий путь и вступить на тропу войны против целой банды и главного антагониста.
Особонности
* Физика предметов и разрушаемость: Неприятель стреляет по вам из дома? Взорвите его вместе с домом! А может вам не нравятся аккуратно сложенные ящики? Раскидайте их так, как вам хочется!
* Динамичность: Хочешь спокойно отстреливать врагов, не двигаясь и попивая чашку кофе? И не мечтай! Множество недругов не дадут и пары секунд покоя. Тебе предстоит уворачиваться от пуль и двигаться «нон-стоп». Как говорится - «хочешь жить – умей вертеться».
* Истребляйте врагов при помощи различных предметов окружения : взорвите автомобиль, расстреляйте бочку с топливом или заманите неприятеля под дружественный огонь.
* Разнообразие оружия: Разные пушки, начиная от обычного пистолета до ракетницы, не заставят скучать.
* Зажигающая музыка: Металический саунд-трек отлично настроит на уничтожение недругов, ведь никому не понравится засыпать под музыку Моцарта во время геймплея?

Lovestory is a fun little "shoot 'em up" side-scrolling game, playable just for a bit of amusement. It has several levels.
Its graphics are very basic and blocky - sort of like a 8-bit gun-toting version of Minecraft. However, the detail in the game is quite good for what it is.
You fight against a variety of opponents, including standard enemies, elite troops (in black uniforms), suicide bombers (in red), snipers, etc. Luckily, your weapon has unlimited ammo (just like a John Wayne six-shooter).
The enemy will sometimes roll up in vehicles, with some having mounted machine-guns. Unfortunately, you can't drive any vehicles (too bad, so sad).
You can shoot and destroy a lot of items in the game, including some buildings. Pro tip: If there's a health block high up on a building, just destroy the building around it, so that the block falls to the ground.
Occasionally you'll see blocks of health and weapon upgrades (which shine, so they stand out, even the ones located in buildings). Health blocks give you 50 health (you have a maximum of 100). Upgrade blocks might give you a SMG, flamethrower, or grenade launcher (or some health); however, you can't swap between weapons - you just have to use up all of the ammo and then you revert back to your standard gun.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the airport boss (who has some sort of Gatling gun or street-sweeper). I shot him as much as possible, but with no luck. I tried shooting out the platform from beneath him, but that didn't work. I even tried hiding from him in the spot where the enemy troops come out, but the suicide bombers attacked me there (it wasn't good). And then, when you die, you have to do the whole airport level all over again, just to get back to the boss (boo, hiss, that sucks).
This game would benefit from:
1) A save game option (or at least the ability to restart at the boss section).
2) The ability to select different weapons.
3) An option to change controls (although that's not a big deal, since it's just a side-scrolling game).
Nonetheless, despite its shortcomings, it's a fun game.
If you want a bit of miniature shoot 'em up amusement, then Lovestory is worth giving a go.
P.S. I'd also suggest that the developer add some Steam achievements to the game.
