Use the souls you harvest to buy powerful upgrades that will make your job easier. Being the Grim Reaper was never so fun!
Between sessions of work you will be able to read the cruel forms in which the last human died. Be sure to read them all, many of them will surprise you and make you feel shivers.
Use the keyboard or mouse to redirect the souls to their respective destinations. W, left click or up arrow for good souls. S, right click or down arrow for bad souls. Neutral souls must go to Limbo so you have to let them pass.

Opus Mortem is a really cool indie reaction game. There are subtle details with the art that is there such as the reaper smacking the earth with the scythe when someone dies and there is a nice amount of skills to upgrade. The game is pretty challenging but it is guilty of the just one more game mindset. There is an interesting ever growing population that goes down as you kill people with information on your last kill; but these are things you won't really get to appreciate because of how much you are paying attention to the gameplay.
As the reaper you have to sort your souls as they come through. They are categorized by color and can be sorted by pressing or pressing and holding either keys on a keyboard or the mouse buttons. I prefer to use the mouse for this game. The visuals are a bit strange to me because as much as I like them I kind of feel like I'm looking at something meant to be viewed in 3D. It is a bit hard on the eyes but concentrating on only the souls bar helped. There were times that after I would stop staring things would seem to wave around a bit.
Among permanent boots such as multiplier boosting, starting velocity decelerating, permanent hearts, and soul worth; there is also one temporary boots for even more hearts. The progression is pretty nice. You don't feel like you will need to play hours upon hours to unlock everything; but it is not handed to you outright. The game gets pretty difficult but it is not at all hard to learn. Once you max out all skills there is an endless mode. The soundtrack is fitting but it does add to the feel of this game is good in short score chasing bursts as it can get a bit repetitive.
Pros
+Great one more time score chaser
+Intriguing idea and subtle details
+Nice Progression
Mix?/Cons
~/- Soundtrack is a bit repetitive
~/- Visuals are a bit hard on the eyes
~/- Details such as last kill can't really be appreciated.
This is a fun and difficult score chaser that has a simple yet hard to master style of play. I can recommend it for the two dollars asking price.
