Benjamin, what were you THINKING when you bought this? You know you hate puzzle games like this.
...Well, not during the time when I bought it; looked interesting at the time but really, I don't like playing puzzle games so this one's obviously on me. 🤦🏻♂️
after update 4.0 the game just stopped working for me. first it demanded some sort of software update for my laptop, then after i got it, turned out all my progress got erased, the game looks like a completely black fullscreen (with white buttons on it) regardless of what settings i try to change, there's no way to start playing (only shows me levels from 70s to 90s and doesn't react when i try to click on them) and also i'm really not a fan of getting all my past achievements erased. imho it was better and friendlier to a player before, now it's just unplayable. why'd you try to fix something that wasn't broken? very disappointed and annoyed rn.
EDIT: a year later i tried to run it again, and it seems to be working now? alright, i guess. at least i can try to get the achievements now. speaking of which, still VERY annoyed at all the new "speedrun" and "no mistakes" achievements that replaced all the previous ones, erasing ALL past progress completely. my playing time is about 4hrs at the moment, but you wouldn't know from my achievement list, because all the achievements i've earned are null and void after the update. i'm gonna play it until i get all the new achievements as well, and then i'm never picking up this game again. still don't recommend btw because who knows if the developers decide to remake everything again.
Cute puzzle game for a cheap price.
Quite well polished, for a game this cheap to buy.
Too soon to tell on difficulty, but the main thing is that I'm enjoying it so far.
No timed levels, which is a good thing, for me.
I can at best say 'it was alright'. Very short, about 2 hours. I never felt very challenged on any of the levels, and they were all easy to breeze through in a couple of minutes each. 100% completion on achievements just for beating the game and toggling a couple of visual menu options ... and that's it.
It's a neat concept for a puzzle game, for sure, but I never felt that it was used to its full potential to deliver any real challenges.
The game is fairly short, early levels are not too hard with the tough ones near the end. The core of the game revolves around minimizing the number of moves needed to complete a level. New puzzle mechanics are demonstrated well as they are introduced. The music can get a little old after playing several levels, but that’s not a big problem.
Overall a good casual puzzle game.

Fun game for casual play. Puzzles are logical and require moving letters around to form target words within a given amount of moves. New methods to move letters are introduced gradually and add to the gameplay.
Easy to drop in for a few word puzzles when time permits. No pressure to race through unless self imposed.

end of 2019 edit: the game got a free deluxe edition, replacing the original, added some info on it, and on how to access the in my opinion superior original version to the end of the review.
a simple idea: move letters around mostly by rotating cogs to create the word or words on the top of the screen. there are a few more mechanics later on, teleports, switching adjacent letters, etc. but nothing too complicated, nor challenging in the 100 or so levels, and even with the move limit the game provides a relaxing experience. you can undo as many moves as you like by moving the mouse wheel down or by clicking the backward arrow in the top right corner. I would've liked a re-do function when moving the mouse wheel up but it's not a huge drawback.
the presentation is simple but effective as well, blue on white, true to its name, and the music and sound effects aren't grating either. there's a decent amount of customization, resolutions, windowed mode, swaying effect on/off and separate toggles for sound and music, but there are no volume sliders, nor a level select screen, so the only way of finding out how far along you are is by looking at the percentage on the save slot, and the only way to replay levels is by starting a new game.
I ran into two more issues. clicking on 'empty' teleports uses up a move, which I thought to be a bug but it seems to be a feature. it's consistent with the other mechanics, rotating cogs with no letters around uses up a move as well but the empty teleport threw me off for some reason.
the other thing is slightly more worrying, mostly because it was a bit random. the game decided after a while (and not directly after a patch) to not run from steam anymore. I wasn't the only one having the issue, had to start the game from the installation folder, then either because I restarted steam or because of something else, it started working properly again.
the 100 or so levels should take about 2 or 3 hours to complete and the price is in line with other similar games coming out these days, definitely recommended if you're not looking for a really difficult puzzle game.

end of 2019 edit: the game got upgraded to the deluxe edition for free, it runs on unreal engine now and looks better, but right now mouse wheel doesn't work as undo (should be back soon) and based on feedback you can't rotate cogs both ways anymore, so instead of right clicking once, you have to left click three times to achieve the same thing.
apparently, players didn't realize they can rotate things both ways, when in fact it was mentioned in the game and was an integral part of solving the levels. so about 60 of the levels had to be redesigned to accomodate this downgrade, and in my opinion the game is more tedious and less fun in its current state.
however, you can still access the original version, just right click on the game in your library, choose preferences, then betas, then select an earlier version. be careful though, as this might screw with your progress and/or cloud saves, as the two versions store progress in different places, but both use the cloud.
my advice is to try both and stick with whichever you prefer, as it's perfectly possible that without playing the original you'll be fine with how the deluxe edition works, and even find it easier (not that the game was difficult to begin with, at least in my opinion).
