I quite dislike the game for a multitude of reasons, but the three most prominent ones are;
First, the gameplay has barely changed since the days of yesteryear where this was a flash game, in fact its basically the exact same except they slapped a pricetag on it and a bit fancier UI, apart from that almost everything is the exact same. Like absolutely no improvement on that side, its the exact same thing.
Secondly, the game is far too reliant on RNG for ''difficulty'', literally EVERY SINGLE TIME that I was screwed out of a victory was because I lost way too much dna points on removing symptoms forced upon me, which depending on the RNG can be so freaking frequent you effectively waste all the points just to keep the severity in check. I often had the EXACT same mutation happens multiple times in a row within the span of a week or two, which is incredibly infuriating due to how the AI in the game give absolutely no chance unless you go full passive until every country on earth is infected. Every other pathogen that do not force random mutations are so easy you can easily defeat the world without ever being detected until its too late.
Third and last, its incredibly annoying how despite the variety of pathogens present, there is literally only a single viable strategy NO MATTER WHAT; Remove every symptoms as they pop up, or just never invest into it, and simply let the infection spread slowly until it snowball. No other tactic is viable because the very instant that any symptoms appear, its basically game over because the entire world will suddenly band together in record time to defeat you, even if from their perspective you're an extremely benign pathogen. It would be like the entire world banding together in less than a week to find a cure for foot fungus because some new strain appeared in Africa. So utterly silly and immersion breaking.
The gameplay is fire. The concept is fire. Blink, and the world is on fire.
Co-op mode is so f*cking bullshit with its works, the moment you infect 5% of the world, they build 15 labs and insta cures you without even allowing you to get enough points to even try and stop it, no matter if you build up points or not your just insta f^cked the moment you infect anyone, devs wont do sh!t to fix co-op mode either.
I bought this a very long time ago and then forgot I had it. I pulled it back out and was expecting a fairly simple game. I was wrong - this is quite in-depth and challenging! There are many scenarios and different strategies are required based on what type of plague is happening!

but it is very repetitive because everyone uses same tactic with getting undetected until infect everyone

This game is very fun it is a game that needs strategy and thinking so if you like games where you use strategy then I would highly reccomened this game for you.

game is great, and the multiplayer modes are really fun.
So, I think that plague inc is a very very good game because of the realism and multiplayer. I suggest you buy the game and see what im talking about.
Plague Inc Evolved is a very good game especially with the DLC The Cure where you save the world rather that destroy it
Pretty nice game to play. I usually play for about an hour every time, but its still a decent game. The simulation is accurate but not much to show. It takes a decent amount of strategy to beat the harder difficulties.
This game is very strategic and takes a lot of different methods and ideas to be able to win, there's so many different options to go about this game and it is very time consuming if you're ever looking for a break or something to do for a moment. It has really makes you think about how you should eradicate the world and become the best plague there was.
i liked how you can control the evalution of the pathogen in this game (keep in mind i have only reached virus)
i disliked how if therte is 0.0000001% of healthy (or infected) people YOU LOOSE
grew up playing this game on my phone. it is a lot of fun if you like strategy. i really life the concept of starting a virus in the world and see if i can wipe it out
Choose from a variety of diseases, whether they be real, partially-real (e.g. they exist in real life, but they've been adapted to work within the game's framework), or fictional, pick your starting nation, and go forth and evolve to eradicate the human race as we know it. Figure out the optimal stratagem for transmitting your disease, its symptoms for maximum infectivity and death toll, and how it adapts to nature, random events, and man's attempts to cure it. Plus, as you win more games, you unlock ways to customize your diseases, ranging from making it easier to spread in certain regions, speeding up its early stages, or trading ease of play for a higher risk of being cured.
It's quite fun ultimately, but know that some disease types require you to have replayed prior disease types enough to have unlocked specific customizations, as they otherwise are a pain to try and win without them. Plus, the Simian Flu (aka the "Planet of the Apes" promotional disease) and Vampire disease both have mostly-unique customizations, so that's why they're available straight away - for the most part, you just have to deal with their very different, but well-executed, modes of play.

this is a really fun and creative game that ive always enjoyed, from playing the regular viruses to the mods and dlc, this is a 10/10 game that i think everyone should enjoy.
This game is very strategy based, I'm certainly not good at it but I enjoy being an extinction level event.
this game is awesome. once you win, you'll unlock new types of bacteria and plagues! once you win them too, you'll unlock even more! and even different ways to win! if you lose, don't worry, it doesn't cost anything! and you can speed up the game so that you don't have to sit there and wait for something to happen!

Wife got me a steam deck for Christmas so I bought this game explicitly because it had the green check for steam deck compatibility. It 100% abjectly does not work on the steam deck. Complete waste of money.

Played this game on mobile for years. I can easily recommend this game! It's a fun strategy game. There can be a bit of RNG at times, but it is still very fun. Cure mode is awesome!

I love this strategy game. So many modes and flexibility to play.
I remember when Plague Inc. first launched on mobile devices. This PC port provides a quick jump in and play opportunity to a deep meditative, strategic challenge at higher difficulties. I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with this game.

Truly a timeless masterpiece for whenever you feel like ending life one earth in many different variations.
In tough times like this in our truly fucked up world even now after years from it's official release this game will continue to satisfy me at each time I'd like to kill us all. I highly recommend this game of every novice gamer, grandma's, grandpa's and even babies to truly understand the meaning of life, remembering the rough past, and overcoming a rough time with life.

This game is so fun and addicting! It rarely recieves updates, but it's timeless! My favorite disease is the Neaurax Worm, i love the win condition that it adds, where you can evolve the "Trancendense" symtom and enslave the entire world! Overall a very good game, I've been playing it for years!

Honestly, 10/10 would do it again. It is a chaotic masterpiece that combines strategy with a wickedly dark sense of humor. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves unique, thought-provoking gameplay with a sinister twist.

Classic sim game that has stood the test of time, absolutely a must play.
Multiplayer aspect is kinda lackluster though, singleplayer and workshop is the good stuff.
I bought this game while it was 65% off with The Cure DLC in the bundle, and it is a super fun game, would recommend. If you don't like story mode type games there is a Vs and Co-Op version in multiplayer. Check it out!
In this game you play as the virus...
And your goal is obviously to take over the world.
But turn that upside down, in reality it is how this world will react TO your virus.
And how biology works.. this is how viruses can and do spread.
So you learn a lot.
the lord hath rain down plagues, good game, later virus modes lowkey are hard like the zombie virus but on my end was a lack of understanding Z-COM and how to deal with them! its also very hands on whereas the prior viruses were more of a sit back and click and mutate! overall 10/10! ive killed the world like 100 times over, truly satiating! buy the game, if you see this it was just meant to be, take the sign and play, also friend me :D

Good, fun game, different from what you usually play so its more fun because of that. Love the option of so many modes.
Addictive. Each plague type (virus, fungus, bacteria, etc) represents a different challenge. There are also scenarios that have vampires or apes (as in planet of the apes). Again new mechanics and new challenges. Well worth the $4.49 (autumn sale).
