Introduction
Reformers is a retro Role-Playing Game. There’s no guide in the game, but plenty pleasures that waiting your exploration and discovery. Painting style of the game is pseudo 3D, which follows the common designs of old games. All images in game were first created by hand-sketching, and then enhanced by computers. Everything we have done is to try our best for the revival of spirits within the old times RPGs.In the game, you will become a REFORMER, who is going to save the world. By using your special skill, the Soul Alliance, you will beat different enemies, prevent the dark cabal’s evil, collect souls of monsters or even take them as servants. At last, don’t forget to enhance the Power of Crystals. The future of reformers is in danger, and your great rescue is on the way.
Tips
- Please add the file path (*/Steam/steamapps/Common/Reformers/) to your anti-virus software's exclude list.
- Choose your favorite server in the last choice of main interface, or just play in offline mode.
- Press Enter to chat in the game. Press Enter to close when the current input is empty. Use Esc to clear current input.
- type: [-name yournewname] to change name.
- Press Alt + Enter to play in full screen while the logo is showing.
- If there's a bug, report to us via steam or the inner game public chat. It will be fixed asap.

RPG Maker strikes again!
Reformers Intl Ver(变革者国际版) is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction.
It's asset/construction kit flipped by the highly questionable group at Sakura, there's some detail about them from Sentinels of the Store. While reviews are about the games, as this review will be, gamers should be warned when developers behave unethically in case Valve enforces any of their guidelines about acceptable content and behaviour from developers, in which case their games may be removed. Gamers should be aware about any risks they may be taking when buying games from unethical developers.
That aside, let's talk about the game. This was apparently supposed to be an MMO but Sakura never went ahead with it, it's largely abandoned garbage. That element of the game aside, this is just another RPG Maker asset flip, one of at least a thousand such copy + paste construction kit "games" infesting Steam. RPG Maker is designed for children to use. Why are we expected to accept that as a substitute for the work of real, professional game developers?
As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development.
Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers.
Reformers Intl Ver(变革者国际版) is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger.
Had fun playing the game. Really just a single-player game.

if you like to just hang out and grind, its an amazingly comfy kawaii world. I love many MMOs but this is the most special!!!
This game reminds me of the old school rpg games I used to play. I liked the atmosphere in the game. The art style is what made me buy it.
Even though it was an MMO game, I was playing alone all the time but it was fun, I even got all the achievements.
The only people I encountered in the game were one of the developers, he came in the game in person and guided me when I asked for help, The dev was very cute and nice person and it was the best memory when I remember the game.
Solo Mode only! and can see online people only! i thought can help each other!(cannot)
Very cheap but very, very bad controls. I only played once, and every time I see it on my library I'm glad to remember why I stopped: terrible, terrible controls and confusing overall.
Plus, it's dead. The MMORPG tag would be a meme, if at least anyone knew about this game.
Don't buy this, it's actually dead. It had one player this month, and that player was me.
Couldn't get past the language barrier and the stiff controls.
The game is more retro, although the picture is very ordinary, but there are many small eggs. Personally, I prefer this kind of game without hints to fumble on my own. Suggestions 1. Increase the minimap 2. Keyboard shortcut 3. I want to see the number of people online.
I ah apologize for this but.......... I'm a graphics man and these graphics and the controls......just don't appeal to me and kids now a days are going to take one like at this and say it sucks, I'm one of them.... I like the Idea of bringing the old "Lets go a magical adventure" kind of theme but next time, if there is one, try and make the graphics and controls better and you might get better customers.... so I don't recommend this unless you are an adult who remembers graphics like these.
