Now it’s your turn to embark on an epic adventure and make those dreams come true.
Catch new Temtem on Omninesia’s floating islands, battle other tamers on the sandy beaches of Deniz or trade with your friends in Tucma’s ash-covered fields. Defeat the ever-annoying Clan Belsoto and end its plot to rule over the Archipelago, beat all eight Dojo Leaders, and become the ultimate Temtem tamer!
These are the floating islands where Temtem and humans coexist peacefully. Each island is a whole different world, but there is something we all have in common – our love for Temtem and Temtem battles! Intrepid tamers like yourself travel on airships to the furthest reaches of the Archipelago to find the best Temtem. Every young tamer dreams of becoming the best…
- Story Campaign: Journey across six vivid islands and embark on the adventure of becoming a Temtem tamer while fighting against the evil Clan Belsoto.
- Online World: The days of traveling solo are over. In the vibrant, always-online world of Temtem, tamers from around the world can be seen all around you, living the adventure with you, interacting with you, and fighting to become the best Temtem tamer.
- Co-Op Adventure: You will be able to join forces with a friend any time and work together towards your next goal. Catch new Temtem, complete a Route, or face off against a Temtem Leader; all while fighting alongside your friend in dual battles!
- Housing: Buy your own house at Atoll Row and decorate it your way. Buy new furniture, color your walls and you’ll be ready to invite your friends over!
- Customize: Customize your character to stand out from the crowd and get new cosmetics while you battle other tamers. Pick a silly hat, a comfy sweatshirt, some pants and you’re ready to go! Or maybe you prefer to wear a full-on cosplay of your favorite Temtem?
- Competitive: Start by choosing 8 Temtem and the pick and ban phase will begin. Take turns with your rival to pick your Temtem and ban theirs. When all the decisions are made and the turns are ended, you will end up with a squad of 5 Temtem and the battle will begin.

This game is interesting. It allows you to play with another player and allows up to 2 Tems on the battlefield. It also makes you think of strategies when competing in the gym battles. You can buy and sell items as well as breed for better Tems. You get lots of items that help you customize your self, Tem, house, etc. It is the best Pokemon-like game I have played!
A very long and repetitive game: Instead of diluting the gameplay with various activities, you are forced to fight literally every few steps.
At the same time, there is no fast travel (until you complete main quests), the gadgets are very limited in use and they are periodically removed just to complicate your movement around the map and force you to take detours that will take 3x more time, and fights i remind you happens every few of steps.
Everything is too poorly worked out and repetitive, it gets boring super quickly and positive emotions turn into annoying routine.
Since you're just lazily copying from Pokemon, try to learn what users liked and what they didn't like about Pokemon. Because you managed to make the bad sides even more annoying than the original.
Honestly, it isnt bad at all. I love the designs of the Temtem very much and the art style is great, I just wish it wasn't always online.
An amazing alternative to Pokemon or other creature collector games. Essentially an MMO Pokemon game if you will. Every battle is a doubles battle, allowing for incredible diversity and insight into your next move and what the opponents next move might be! You can also play this game COMPLETELY WITH A FRIEND! My buddy Krayshawn and I have played this sooo many times together. Either the base game, or the challenge runs.. Both are so much fun and we have a blast roleplaying as the bad guys every time. We hate Max! I love Temtem and if you enjoy any creature collector games I think you will too.
Overall: 8.3/10
This game is a lot of fun. It feels like other monster catching games, but it has some serious strategy to it. The story has some really cool twists and turns and the characters are charming and interesting. Overall I really am enjoying the game.
its great... what we needed from a pocket monster collecting game with a new take on it. . . very refreshing!!
if they fixed the nuzlockemode I pefer this in every way over pokemon I mean every way it has a story that is simple but doesn't treat like a dumdum. there is no in fight rng breeding is much easier to rig and it's a mmo
So i played back in early acess left off as story was incomplete the game can be fun for a bit it has the concept and the art of a good creature capture game , however i comeback as i seen their newest thing is a survivor like genre so i figured i would complete the game now that i have the time just to see identity politics and immersion breaking things come into the story as well as the slog to even get through the game at points as exp isnt balanced and the amount of trivial banter that has no impact or the loss of key items really felt bad then to get through the later half story if felt like a rushed scrip like their was supposed to be more indepth story and development of npc and lore that got shoehorned in the last second . a weekly challenge that locked behind completion to even some really good things that help with movement it like a slap in the face as you get no satisfactory story climax no real question were answered and then they hand you after words a item that couldnt exist before . Overall Its gameplay loop is okay diffrent enough but gets old quickly the despairty to leveling is hugh and a slog, the story lacks and fill with obscene amount of battles that you wish you could just skip and then keeping key things from player till they beat your story is a bad decision and rude in most cases as you tell them you dont respect their time.
Its pokemon and great. They need to shorten the battle text delays: game could be 2/3 as long as it was with zero difference in experience... Other than not being told my dudes ability the 600th time for 3 seconds.
the game was good. it had tons of potential. there were small issues in the past but after the 1.0 release, the devs just added a cash shop for outfits and mounts (no pay for power or anything) and then didnt do a single thing with the game. for pvp, all they ever did was just nerf strong stuff mainly by removing moves and abilities from the temtems that were strong so a lot of them are just shells of their former self.
if you want to play the game, the story is very simple, very predictable, but it does its job. the fights are hard and the postgame fights are also hard. the issue is that theres no reason to do anything, theres hardly any coop endgame activities, and the devs dont give a shit.
absolutely never worth the $44.99 that they are asking and please dont support Crema for future games. they clearly don't have any interest in growing a game. they just collect on price tags and promise then dip.
Nowhere near finished, but I already feel like this is the kind of monster catcher gameplay I've been missing.
Although it scratches the itch for monster taming RPGs, something about the story and progression feels "anti-fun" for lack of a better word. Purely miserable sections of the game where you are stripped of resources (that you only just received) and forced to fight through a miserable continent with monsters you didn't even want or care about. Some of the most grueling and unforgiving tactics deployed against you, all the while barely scraping by on resources with some little freaks you never even asked for. Genuinely just not fun to play through! Still worth it despite it all, especially if you can get it on sale.
I cannot recommend this game. Not since the developers abandoned the game. No more new temtem monsters or updates to this game. In theory its what Pokemon fans always wanted, but it always felt a bit off. The art style of the Temtem and graphics are okay.
Take my word for it and just buy Coromon instead. It emulates the pixel graphics of the Gen 3 Pokemon games (Emerald and FireRed). That game is still getting updated and to me is just more fun to play. The sprites and graphics of Coromon just feel more comfy that the 3D models and bright graphics of Temtem. Temtem always felt a bit soulless compared to Coromon.
Also why pay $45 for a dead game that the developers gave up on? A dead always online monster catcher? Nah dont do it.
Wouldn't you rather spend $40 on the new Dragon Quest Monsters game instead?
i like this game but i wish i liked it more. the quality of life in this game is ABYSMAL and in some cases the game feels incredibly stingy. i will say that as for guaranteeing things for the player there are a plethora of options which is great, tho.
travel was my number one issue during the early access, this has been somewhat alleviated throughout with shortcuts opening up as you progress the main story (you do LOSE one method of terrain traversal for a while, though. i still don't really understand the purpose or reason behind this) but these shortcuts are few and far between, honestly. you can also wind up jumping a ledge by accident and having to trot your sorry ass all the way back, too. there are mounts but you will not get a free one until after you complete the main story; which makes progressing said main story a pain in the ass when they ask you to run around from place to place. said places you are also expected to just know where they are, by the way. the map is incredibly unhelpful, there is no map key to tell you what icons mean. nor do the maps allow you to look anywhere but where you currently are without any way to know where or what the current map connects to. in some cases you need to find an unlabeled cablecar to move to another part of the island, in others you need to know where there's a connecting part. but if you've already done the entirety of the main story you get to unlock teleport spots! just backtrack to everywhere you went during the story so you can teleport again. definitely not a chore that could have been progressively completed throughout your journey, no, that's endgame babey.
as for the game being stingy . . i feel it's most egregiously seen in dyes. these are optional cosmetics, granted but they make for a good example. (but glamor is life) they are outrageously expensive for single-use items. there also exists dyes which you may receive ONCE in your entire character's lifetime and they are still single-use. as far as i'm aware these also happen to be the ones you have to have played the game for a pretty decent amount of time b/c they're earned in the battle pass. (side note, the battle pass is the most consumer friendly version it could be: it allows the player to swap to any season whenever they want and it's genuinely great for that.) speaking of sinking time into the game, there exists an endgame currency that you use for cosmetics, purchasing a battle pass (completing the battle pass earns you back less than half of the currency you spent on it.), and utility items. that's a large amount of things to buy so surely you can earn quite a bit when it's such a commonly needed currency? nah, you get like double digit or very low triple digit profits from anything that you earn them from. does that mean things you purchase are generally low price? kinda, some single-use utility items come cheap but peak in the thousands. cosmetics are all exceptionally high-priced. (circling back to dyes as an example: they are 90. how much of the currency can you earn for free from the battlepass? 100 every few levels for a grand total of 300 within 60 levels. 700 if you spent 2,000 to buy the full battlepass) GRANTED, i havent done much farming for this currency so maybe it's more generous than i am initially given the impression of . . but i doubt it. basically, the game expects you to sink time into it weekly to earn things.
another smaller issue is i really don't know who the target audience is. the aesthetics are juvenile with the slightly pastel-ish color scheme and child-friendly looking style. the player character is a minor, as far as i'm aware since we cannot drink. but the dialogue ranges from immature to having curses.
as for more small QOL issues:
the trade house's filtering for items specifically is awful. you have to KNOW what you're looking for, you can't just browse items and see if you find something you like. no, consult the wiki, find the name then search the name and hope someone is selling that exact thing. there's no window shopping: like perhaps i want to just see housing items currently on the market. nope.
there's a bit of travel time to get to the trade houses so it can be inconvenient to get to them, it's not awful but it's enough to be annoying that you can't just get to one directly like the breeding center. you can instead buy an trade terminal and three other interactables but they're each almost a thousand of the end-game currency so is it really worth it just for some more convenience?
clothing and housing shops are different on each island which is kinda cool for the world-building but also inconvenient as hell at other times, especially since you have to physically purchase them from the displays.
browsing the tempedia, there is no filtering or search function. just scroll. same for tutorials, quests, the temtem shop, and probably others.
you can turn animations off but if you're trying to be quick about getting in and out of battles you'll still feel like everything moves like molasses. for everytime a temtem's trait is activated you have to be reminded of it, wait for it to disappear and god forbid two traits get activated at once because then you have to wait for that one too and then you can make your move. if both temtem on either side experience the same genre of thing (both poisoned or both are healing for example) you have to watch them separately experience that.
you can only choose one loading screen art :( even if you have more you have to look at one specific one every single time, no variety.
and more!
TLDR: if you havent already sunk time into the game then don't. it's a slog to get through the main story which you need to do if you want any of the convenience features (that would have helped you get through said slog of a main story)
No way they made me backtrack back and forth from the top of the map to the bottom of the map... TWICE. I'm still upvoting this game because the Temtem have really cool designs and the combat mechanics are so damn good, but... we're still doing fetch quests in games? I still think the good outweights the bad--I'm just hoping the rest of the game isn't like this.
i used to play this when it got released on switch its really good still even with 15 fps
It was ok, the LGBT pushing was too much. The story was good otherwise. The co-op feature is good too. 6 out of 10
awesome monster tamer game with some entertaining story; stamina and hold mechanics make us think about what to do each turn, and not just spam only one offensive move like in Pokémon
although I stopped playing for now because balance changes had broken my team which I spent hours maxing out x)
TEMTEM : A POKEMON-LIKE DONE RIGHT

Great monsters design, graphics and animations.
Combat is strategic and competitve but easy to grasp.
Story is fun and intersting with some twitsts.
Music and sounds fit the environnement.
Game runs well and with few bugs (not game-breaking).

good pokemon clone, battling in teams of 2 makes things a little more interesting
it feels like a lower quality pokemon knock off it honestly surprises me how people would complain about palworld when this is just as bad if not worse. while it does have some good parts such as certain parts of combat, the multiple dialogue options, the graphics, the tutorial, and the online game play, even if the online game play seems to have just been added on as a after thought so they could charge more.
on top of that the game is full of glitches some of them even caused my temtem eggs to disapear while i was offline. plus the game feels rather clunky and freezes a lot as well as more poorly optimized then pokemon allegedly is. finally theres the cash shop, and while most of the options in there didnt seem that big of deal i disliked how i got half way through the game maybe further and couldn't find a way to get a mount except the cash shop
if the price was set to 15$ or lower then there's a decent possibility that i would've given it a postive review instead but currently this just feels like a cash grab aimed at benefiting from pokemons popularity
just play a single player game. mmo features here are barely worth a damn. basically on your own regardless
I like this game. Me and my Daddy play it. You should play it too.
Honestly this held a lot of potential but it's just a generic Pokemon clone with online features that are completely irrelevant. It's sluggish, bland and just not that fun. I will give it props for a few of the Temtem designs as they genuinely look good.
Turn-based monster training MMO? please and thank you
I REALLY wanted to play this game but it didn't get past the character creation screen. Whenever I was done, it'd say that the connection to the server was lost and it took me back to the beginning, over and over again. My internet connection is completely fine otherwise and I have bee playing lots of FFXIV for example.
So far can't recommend the game. Seriously a trainer battle every 5 feet? I'm getting a bunch of quests I can't do yet, only halfway through the first out of what? 6 zones? can't even do the gym/dojo battle because I guess that's the final boss of the area?.
The only thing I can say at this point is why buy THIS specific creature collector over any other?
I'm gonna push through but man this is a massive slog.
The mana system is a really big turn-off.
Game is quite fun but repetitive at the start, once u get to the end boss the game becomes pure cancer and you wish you would have killed yourself instead of playing this garbage.
That entire team you worked on your entire playtrough? Yeah thats useless now cause we made a battle with a turn limit against an enemy that spam switches their TemTems.
Never seen such a dogshit ending before in my entire life. wish i could ask my money back.
Amazing game, hope I have more time to play it, but like it a lot!
Es un buen juego, con una idea bastante sólida y desarrollada y que aumenta la dificultad para los amantes de los combates por turnos del estilo! Además, lo juego en steam deck por comodidad y va súper bien!
It's a fun game to sit back and chat on
felt okay at early access But ended up feeling like Trash at 1.0+ release...
Temtem is a massive game with an amazing and super engaging story.
The aesthetic, creatures, sound design, and music are so good they pull you in and make you want to finish every single quest
Its originality, commitment to diversity, competitive mode, and tournaments... it feels endless!
I can’t wait to dive back in and start all over again.
Easily one of the best games I've ever played.
Most fun I have had with a monster tamer game since pokemon. It is a game I am always happy to come back to.
It's a great game and now it's easier than enter to enter thanks to 1.8 update.
This is where I really wish I could answer "maybe" or "neutral", not blatant yes or no. This game would be easier to recommend at a lower price tag ($45 is a bit too steep for the nature of the game), and with a few decisions reversed or remade. My review is "no" only because my opinion is more negative than positive.
There's no real reason to keep playing once the story is done, unless you're into PvP tourneys or whatever, as the devs have stated that, despite this being an MMO, there won't be any expansions. Make of it what you will.
The designs are, however, quite charming, mostly. I at least find a good majority aesthetically pleasing, or cool looking (Mastione, for example). The game is bright (sometimes a little too much so) and the environments are distinct enough. There is a slight problem with long, convoluted routing, and the insane difficulty and sparsity of healing locations (as well as the frankly outrageous pricing on healing items & lack of pansuns, the game's currency) make it a bit of a slog.
The combat, as a few other reviews state, is difficult. The game doesn't ease into it, either. You're immediately given a taste of pain by your rival stand-in (who is obnoxious in EVERY regard), belittled for losing, and given little reprieve after with the first trainers on the first route. I don't /mind/ the difficulty, to be frank, but I do think it's a /BIT/ much early on. There isn't much of a story to make me want to push through particularly tough fights, either, I feel like I'm doing that bit out of spite towards myself rather than because there's story in there I'm interested in reading. The writing is cringeworthy, out of touch, and difficult to get behind, at times. I at least got a little chuckle out of some of the less nose-wrinkling references but... does all of the writing need to be like that?
The most recent update, and what appears to be the game's last, removes the ability to pay for content in the game, and allows you to earn all of the battlepass things yourself with in-game currencies. Unfortunately, this feels like it can only really be done by finishing the game first, which, as stated, there's no reason to play after unless you want to keep collecting, or engage in PvP tourneys, which I have to outline Crema has stated they wanted to use to keep the game alive, instead of expansions. Again, make of it as you will. The decision to strip the option to pay for premium on battlepasses? Good idea, I wish it had been made sooner. Making the only viable way to earn feathers post-story..? Not so much.
TL;DR, if you're drawn in by the visuals, you don't mind the difficulty, and either the game is on sale or you don't mind spending $45 for something you'll need to make your own fun in later? Maybe give it a try.
Pokemon without the bullshit
This is like "woke" version of pokemon with tiresome grinding. pokeMMO is free, just saying. Dont buy this....
Cool game, cool tems, cool music, cool animations. Probs one of the best monster taming games that is out there and you can even play it with friends!
Community is small, but worth a play, even just for the solo experience.
Stop being capricious and put the offline mode, the entire player base is looking for
I am kinda torn between giving a positive or negative review.
The game is about catching Pok--- I mean Temtem. Train them, level them, battle against other Temtem tamer.
Most encounters and battles are 2v2 which adds a little spice compared to normal 1v1 turn based systems which I really enjoy. The graphics are quite decent and well fitting. I also really like the Soundtracks.
One big downside for me is how looooooong the game is. I have 23h on record and I am still not done with the story. I cannot tell how much more there is but it feels like a stretch at some point.
The story turns kinda brutal at some point. I am not sure if that fits the scenery as well.
(I also heard rumours about the devs being weird when the game got released two years ago. Can't tell if it's true or not but it did not affect me or the gameplay in any point)
Average game - I'd give 5/10. Worth buying when on sale.
My favorite part of temtem is that the team decided to making micro transactions and season passes for the pass couple years instead of making a dlc with a new island and tems or atleast some new tems. for a dlc. the new update is cool i guess, but the game its self is still fun the update lets you unlock everything in the end game with the feather things so you dont have to pay money or have fomo for the passes, and you can grind for the fits you want, and the luma and umbra for each tem is really cool i recommend playing this game its a good time its like the old pokemon games, just dont expect any more updates for the game this is it, and its not a mmo at all its just single player with coop basically.
Game is good as far as Monster Catching games goes. Is it the best? No, is it better than recent Pokemon games? of course.
If you want a good monster collecting game I would recommend Nexomon Extinction over this any day of the week. Or check out Monster Sanctuary, Coromon, Monster Hunter Stories 2 ect.
Temtem designs are pretty good however they tried making every Temtem viable so some Tems just straight up dont have an evolution or look like they should so it may be jarring for a few. Breeding in this game is straight TERRIBLE, they wanted to keep the (in game marketplace) from being flooded with perfect Tems so they put a cap on Temtem breeding in terms of (Fertility). The better the Tem is when you catch it the less it can breed, also even if the bred Tems are terrible it still take away from the Fertility. You need to look up a guide if you want to get the most out of breeding if you want perfect stats.
Luma's are this games version of shinnies, the chance is not great but its better than some other games however the best way to get them is to Farm Saipark or using Radars. Radars require an in game currency called Feathers, Feathers are obnoxious to obtain & the price of the radar depends on the Tem you are trying to get (price varies). Saipark changes weekly and only was 2 Tems so if you are not interested in the Tems this week maybe next week, or the next, or the next ect.
The game had a ton of promise & is at least DECENT but its a mega grind for the wrong reasons & grows incredibly frustrating when just trying to play casually like Shiny Hunting.
it really fun and has alot of replayability
yes there are micro transactions even after you pay the normal game price but the story and the challange modes are really fun. it is harder than pokemon you will need to think at least a little bit for what types of tems are usefull for the gym and what items are smart to use. but it isn't that hard i really enjoyed it and i am playing the challange modes now
Imagine Pokemon if it was clever, witty, willing to bend the rules, and respected the player.
It really is all things multiplayer that Pokemon should be. If you've always wanted to play Pokemon in coop with your friend, this is your game. It's highly polished, genuinely well made and the coop mechanics add some really lovely strategic flavors to the game. Temtem also has a very deep endgame. Recommended!
Great game if you're looking for a coop pokemon especially after the most recent update removing all of the fomo and mmo like grind.
