И это было бы идеальным местом для колонизации, если бы не два но: ядовитая для человека атмосфера и населяющая планету гуманоидная раса, не желающая делить свой дом с «небесными людьми». И если проблема с атмосферой решается воздушными фильтрами, то даже боевая броня не спасает от огромных стрел и копий аборигенов.Геймплэй
Вы — пилот боевой машины-шагохода BE-A Walker. Ваша задача разгромить враждебные племена туземцев, чтобы обеспечить безопасность колонизации планеты Эльдорадо. Но уничтожение целой внеземной расы не единственный путь к прекращению войны. Выберите свою сторону и определитесь что Вам больше подходит: быть человеком и драться за выживание человечества или проявить человечность и спасти внеземную расу от человека.Управление шагоходом — дело непростое. Поднять одну ногу, передвинуть ее, сделать шаг. Повторить для другой ноги. Именно так ходит шагоход. Управляйте каждой ногой по-отдельности, чтобы раздавить врага или избежать взрыва гранат и ракет.

Good game, my only problems are that y have to spend money to repair your walker (An an Abrams tank crew don't pay upkeep costs for their tank) and the biggest problem which is no dedicated weapon to shoot enemies that attack me from behind, i can only stomp on them.
Repetitive & lack of fun. Nice graphics.
Excellent game.

No this is absolutely terrible
Very cool game, but it would be nice to have more cosmetic options than just decals. Developers, could you please add the ability to change your mech's colors? Multiplayer co-op would be great too. Definetly get this game on sale but it might not be worth full price in its current state.

Overall Feelings: Fun game, kinda short and repetitive but Mech power fantasy is fun.
Main Takeaway: Squishy People go squish beneath a giant robotic foot.
Actual Review:
BE-A Walker is a pretty fun game, I beat the game within about 4.3 hours for the Warrior of Humanity Path on my first session, lost track of time because the Power Fantasy of being a Mech Pilot with a Smoothbore Cannon, Rocket Salvo and Literal Death Rays is just a blast.
Fairly short but fairly fun.
Oxygen Mechanic is punishing early, specially when you don't have Filter upgrades as some missions are literally impossible. I do find it kinda funny how everyone complains about the Oxygen Mechanic when you can also just pick 'Arcade' and ignore that mechanic entirely, versus 'Hardcore' where its needed to be watched. The different modes of "Normal", "Econ" and "Full Power" resulted in an interesting balance choices.
All Quiet? Econ, time to preserve Oxygen.
Combat? Toss it up to Normal gear and lets brawl.
Near Death but you have too much oxygen? Turn it up to Full Power and decimate everything in your way.
Controls did feel clunky at first but once you're going, you're going.. and if you don't like manually moving, you can just double-tap for the auto-movement. Only issue I had in regards to enemies was the inability to tell which leg was being attacked by rockets / explosives sometimes, and the inability to shoot the enemies behind me.
Only Missions I vehemently disliked was the Mine & Personnel Missions, where you had to walk through a mine field (It took me 3 goes to realize I can blow up the mines.), and avoiding the people in the labs. Sometimes you'd just lift up your foot and woops, you just took off someone's head. Once I got used to it though they stopped being issues.
The Humanity Ending is kinda lackluster, I found it kinda interesting how everyone is like "Oh no, we've accidentally given our mortal enemies a disease they can't cure!", and its quite clear that Humanity is severely on the backfoot even with the Walkers.. Literally no one stopped to say "Isn't this a.. good thing? They're avidly trying to kill us."
Also, the Death Rays kinda... killed it? They're too strong honestly and theres no alternative to it, even with the high energy cost if you're a weirdo like me that goes hard into Energy Maximum & Cooldown (As well as maxing out your guns & oxygen), then the entire game after that point is a literal cakewalk... Though, this was on Normal, so experiences may vary at levels above that.
All in all, game is pretty fun and combat is chaotic but satisfying. Recommend it for anyone that wants to live out their Power Fantasy as an AT-ST / One of those Scout Striders and enjoy blowing up anything that tries to fight you.

Psygnosis made basically the same game for the Amiga back in 1993, it was called Walker. "BE-A Walker" has the same pros and cons that Walker did. Pros: It looks cool and is fun at first. Cons: You end up fighting the controls and the game play gets repetitive after a while. Still, it's an okay little game for the price I guess.
I stopped playing because of the mines. It was fun for a while, very simple game with an interesting story. But then I got to the mines.
The way you are supposed to get through the mines is to walk next to them and they climb out of the ground where you can shoot them or step over them. You have to get REALLY close for them to pop up, like almost touching them close, enough to accidentally step on one even when taking the tiniest steps possible. At first I tried to engage the game the way it wanted me to, which is by tediously taking the smallest steps I can to get the mines to pop up. This didn't work because of the aforementioned proximity to the mines plus there is an oxygen limit. I got frustrated and tried to just walk through taking the biggest steps possible and I thought I had made it through because I got some story dialogue pop-ups, but then I started hitting mines and I realized I was only halfway through.
Good game, but terrible mine mechanic. Walking a minefield the way it is intended is tedious, boring, and doesn't usually work right. Trying to tank the damage and just walk through doesn't work because the level is twice as long as it should be. It's just a horrendous design choice that poisons everything else.
