Cairo is the youngest member of the big mage Family BoBo. He was born with great talent and good at the magic of creation. But Cairo can’t concentrate on doing one thing for long. He likes playing tricks and living leisurely. Taking a nap on the meadow is his favorite part of the day, and that’s why he barely sees his growth in magic power.
Clusterclucked was brought by Cairo’s father when Cairo was a baby. This fellow’s backstory is a mystery, but that doesn’t affect him from being the best friend and nanny of Cairo. Clusterclucked is quite light-hearted, has a poor memory and likes singing songs that nobody understands.
One day, a giant egg falls off and breaks the roof of Cairo’s flying house, just in front of Cairo and Clusterclucked. Though being afraid, they decide to figure out what happened…

Cairo's Tale: The Big Egg is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. This is a short VR demo where you watch a pre-animated scene for a few minutes. Yes, I'm not joking, and whether I am or not, the punchline is the developer of this junk is delusional enough to be asking for money for this, when it's not even a game.
For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played".
This has misleadingly been launched in the "Games" section of Steam instead of the "Software" section. This is a common mistake for developers who are new to Steam, or don't understand the difference between games and software which isn't a game. It seems this software published incorrectly as a game is simply lack of experience/knowledge of the correct process.

It's unfortunate this process was not known about/followed, resulting in a software application being published in the wrong place.
Publishing things which aren't games on Steam in the Games section as games is misleading to gamers and somewhat harmful, because it pollutes the Steam marketplace and takes away visibility and market exposure for genuine game developers who do the right thing and make games for gamers.
There are no gameplay loops in this software, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. It's a software application and as such has no merits as a video game for gamers. Because of this, I cannot recommend this non-game software as a game to gamers.
The software is very very short and can be finished in 10 minutes. Developers have at least some responsibility to provide enough content to make a paid product last more than 2 hours if they're serious about providing something of value to gamers. There's less content here than some free game demos. I certainly don't advocate this but there's nothing stopping you from watching the demo and then refunding it. The developer really did not think this through at all.
The poor quality of this software is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak user number was only 3 viewers. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only user activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 real, genuine games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality software is to be expected.
So, should you buy this software? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ products on Steam?
Cairo's Tale: The Big Egg is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the software, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
At the cost of $1 without sales, this is 100% a "worth it" experience. Yes, it's only about 10 minutes long, if that. But it's just absolutely an adorable short 3D film. It's definitely one of the things you should show off to people when you are demoing VR to them. And seriously, A FREAKING DOLLAR!! When you have stupid visualizers in VR trying to scam people at the cost of $10, it's refreshing to see a dev make something so cute and humorous and ONLY charge a buck for it. Kudos!! And recommend to anyone that has VR and enjoys cartoons.

A funny short animation.
I like the graphics, and I would love to see an adventure with these characters.
I had the settings on high, and I had a lot of motion wobble around the characters so I guess it's not the lightest on resources.
would I recommend it? well at 0,39 cents it is now on sale, yeah, 0,79 euro cents regular. hmmm.. yeah, but beyond that I just can't recommend it as it's just too litlle.
A really cool, short VR movie.
For a dollar you get a lot for what you pay for. Even though its a short animation found myself enjoying it a whole lot.
Very enjoyable and kid friendly short story. No interaction so no need for any type of controller, you start the show by pressing space on the keyboard.
Lasts ~8min and it tells a very short but enjoyable story.

I got this for $0.69. And to be honest, I'm perfectly willing paying a few dollars to support this kind of work. I would love to see longer, higher quality VR animations like this in the future.
Cool little VR movie experience.
Excellent! Detailed and fun. This is the first video/render I've seen since Invasion or Oculus Dreamdeck that really showed off what VR brings to the table for non-gaming entertainment. In addition to the 3D visuals, being inside the movie instead of to the side of it really enhances the experience.
Swivel chair not included but highly recommended :)
This was fun! Short, but fun and well done. It's a stand there and watch type of experience and short, but nice! This will be a great one for kids!
The entire cinematic is about 8 minutes or so.
It's okay. I mean it's only a $1, but there isn't any narration. It's just noises and music, which is fine, but I thought maybe there would be narration. I have a 1080TI and 7700K and a couple parts of the animations weren't the smoothest for the "high" graphics setting, but it was only maybe 20 seconds of animations out of the entire thing so not a big deal.
I don't regret my purchase, but I felt like Henry was a better experience using ReVive due to the narration during the experience. Obviously, once you have watched Henry rewatching it isn't that fun though so it's nice that this is a fresh experience.
If you enjoy watching the VR experiences I feel like for a $1 to watch it is worth it, or if you have a children who likes this stuff it is worth it as well. I would say there are 2 parts that could potentially scare a little one under like 6 though. Otherwise, they really aren't that "scary", more of a surprise or psyche out type scare and less of a classic horror/fear type scare.

Experienced on the Oculus Rift with keyboard. Spoiler free Review
So this is about a 9 minute purely cinematic VR experience with no interactions. You sit as the action occurs 360 degrees around you. I do recommend you sit on a swivel chair or stand up. This experience is probably targeted for young children, although there is one scene that may be scary for children. However, as a single adult I enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it.
It has a really good story with a feel good ending. I had a few chuckles as well. The visuals are top notch, although frame rates took a dip at times, especially when I looked around really fast. All the action takes place in one gorgeous environment with a lot of little details strewn about. There is no voiced dialogue, but the sounds are excellent and the animations are so well done that you ge the feelings they are conveying, even without dialogue.
I think I got more than my money's worth at .99 cents. One of the best VR animated shorts.
Rate 8/10.
