Killer Sudoku puzzles include all the rules of regular Sudoku but add in dashed-line 'cages' which must sum to given values. Killer Sudoku is also sometimes known as Sumdoku, Mathdoku or Addoku.
The name 'Killer' Sudoku arises because of the wicked twist on the standard Sudoku puzzle, since you must not only place each of the numbers 1 to 9 (or 1 to the size of the puzzle) into each of the rows, columns and bold-lined 3x3 (or other size) boxes but you must also place the numbers into each dashed-line cage so that they add up to its given total - and without repeating a digit in a dashed-line cage. ©

peaceful asf i just listen to music and play it. Favorite, most intuitive point and click sudoku experience. Best for after work, stressed, wanna fully shut your brain off.
Managed the easy section but no idea how to do the rest. 10/10.
I recommend this game only if you are a fan of regular Sudoku. It's more of the same but a litte diffrent and much harder.
Edit: 100 percented; and I did it the legit way. No consulting the walkthroughs.
Edit2: I played the other sumduko game on here, Studio Goya's Killer Sudoku. It has some quality of life improvements this game does not. You can click and drag to select multiple squares for paint-rolling on notations. You can also use it to delete notations. But, be aware that if there aren't notations in every square you've selected, first it adds notations. The second click deletes them.
The other improvement is you can manually click on possible digit combos for sums (i.e. 12=1 2 8, 13 7, 1 4 6...) to cross out ones you've ruled out.
That doesn't mean that it's absolutely better than this game. Unlike this game, it doesn't let you fail. If you left click a number wrong; either from a misclick, a guess, or just getting your logic wrong; it let's you know immediately with a red error square.
End edit.
Of the Sudoku games by Konstructors, this is at once their most wonderful, and their most horrible. Their presentation of "sumduko" makes it one of the most challenging of the games they have on offer. That's even before you add in the UI issues that make the game borderline unplayable.
These issues are the near useless highlight function, and the placement of "1" notations in the same spot as the "cage" sum numbers.
I have in reviews of their other sudoku games mentioned a tendency to make the highlight function, activated by left-clicking on the numbers on the far right, pastel colors that are sometimes hard to distinguish from the unhighlighted squares. This game takes this to extremes with the highlights being essentially invisible. I know us males get not totally undeserved flak for being color-blind, what with how we only see one hue of red. But, this is ridiculous.
The other, much worse, problem is the placement of the "1" notations and the cage sum numbers in the same place. As often as not, you're either not able to read the sum cage number, because it is occluded by a 1; or, visa versa. Imagine seeing a square that has a "4" and an "8" notation on it. You have just ruled out the possibility of there being a 4 there. So you think, "That must be an 8. I'm making progress!" You didn't see the "1" notation. Sure it would be briefly visible as you left-click to select the 8. But, I'll bet you still wouldn't have seen see it.
Heck, this might not even be as bad, if not for the other problem I mentioned.
Another great sudoku game, this time with added difficulty and no pre-filled numbers.
Definitely worth it for any sudoku fans who find regular sudoku too easy, or who are just up for a challenge.
The difficulty on these is crazy. If there was a better intro into this style of sudoku - it would be much more welcoming. 7/10
It's basically kenken and sudoku combined. Pretty fun, devilishly challenging.
Really nice-looking version of sudoku killer puzzles, and it displays all the possible options for a box which is really convenient. Keep in mind it might look too bright on some screen displays, and when you make a pencil note of the number 1, it can sometimes hide the box total which can be annoying. Besides that, it has 100 puzzles with a good amount of easy/medium/hard levels, and the easy levels are great to learn if this is your first time trying this sudoku mode
kato igrata za 50 godishnite ma poveche mozuk ti trebe... fen sum dawam 9/10 shoto nisho ne e perfektno (ivan me nauchil)
The puzzles, while not as good as the set from Cracking the Cryptic, are still good, so I will give this game a thumbs up.
The caveat is that the UI is quite lacking, both for generic sudoku and for the killer variant:
- Only one notation format, which is somewhat clunky to use (no cell multi-select)
- Pencil-marked ones are almost impossible to see if they are in the cell with the killer cage number
- No way to see all errors, at best you can mark duplicate digits
- No way to manually cross off combination possibilities
While the puzzles are as they say, the program itself is a bit off. By which I mean some of the basic functions of checking if the answers you give are correct don't seem to show until many moves later.
I've tested it a few times myself by purposely inputting the incorrect digits and checking with each new input, yet the program says it's correct until many moves later, which kinda defeats the purpose of even having that function to begin with.
As for the other games in the same line up I haven't tested it yet, but I have a feeling the issue is still there in Sudoku Jigsaw since it's using the same engine.
Best game to kill suduku. ever
killing suduku is love
killing suduku is life
whenever you want to kill a suduku, just play this game, 100 ways to kill a suduku.
If you like Sudoku this is an interesting take on the rules. Rather than placing fixed numbers into the grid as rules. Sudoku Killer, covers the standard Sudoku board with cages of two or three squares which each total to given number.
At first I found the game really challenging, but after a few levels I started to pick up a few ways to interpret the clues, and I've started to love it.
I really enjoy Sudoku Killer. In the first 5 minutes it's really hard to wrap your head around the concept, and then.. just like that.. you learn how to utilize the different methods of eliminating numbers one by one. Really satisfying :)
Cool number logic game. The puzzles are quite challenging and the soundtrack is pretty chill, but there were some things that I disliked terribly:
- The little circles that show the cage total obscure the number 1, when you are marking a cell's possibilities. The screenshots on the store page seem to look okay, but the actual interface is a little different.
- I found that some of the puzzles in hard mode require guesswork and trial and error.
- The 'undo' and 'redo' buttons did not work properly and required me to click on them several times.
I recommend getting this game with a discount.
Very bad/clunky interface compared to other products. Makes solving the puzzles tedious and not fun.
The puzzles are challenging but fun.
i might know my way with traditional sudoku but looking at the first one i immediately noped out
Just a very simple, fun, relaxing sudoku game. It has a great sound track that I end up losing hours in a zen-like state. It has a nice difficulty curve that leads to you not even realizing that the levels have gotten so much more difficult from the start.
Really love this game. Got tired of regular sudoku and needed more of a challenge. The only thing I would like to see is the ability for the user to rule out option in the combination list.
*Update* - just finished the last level. Feeling a little sad that it's over - would love to see an expansion. Again, great game - can't beat the value for the amount of gameplay
Fun game, great to pick up. It isn't the RDR2 but its definatly a fun game to play when your looking for something relaxing.
