- The Entity- игра в дом ужасов, вам нужно пройти через дом, открыв заметки, которые ваша бабушка оставила вам много лет назад о странных существах. Не забудьте следить за клавишами, потому что некоторые из них скрыты. клавиши и подсказки слегка светятся, чтобы вы могли видеть их легче.

Great game, changed life, my wife brought the kids back and i feel contempt, 10 golden toilets out of 10, busted nut in water tower
Good game. But im giving it a dislike SINCE THERES ONE ISSUE. my mouse keeps showing up in the window and causing me to mess up. Its so annoying. Like seriously its super annoying no matter what i do. I cant even play without it happening where i cant even move. I use a mac. so please fix this.
The Entity: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly - a textbook case of what happens when REAL play testing is underrated and overlooked.
The Good:
+The use of a cellphone as a light source, with battery management, was a nice alternative to the standard flashlight trope.
+Use of the generator as a pseudo game timer was also somewhat unique for this genre of game.
+The interior cells and assets for the house for the most part looked decent and consistent.
The Bad:
-The couch in the basement was bright magenta (either it's texture was corrupt or just missing altogether).
-There is bad clipping between objects and walls; between objects and player; between environment and interactive objects.
-The menu UI is cumbersome and clumsy, both on the start screen and especially in game.
-There was inconsistent use of object trigger boundaries; some (notes, light switches) are positional (you just need to stand near their onTrigger box), whereas others are directional (you need to be looking AT the keys to pick them up)
-These object triggers can clip through walls (I've picked up keys and turned on lights through doors and walls)
The Ugly:
--The "DLC" is busted and never properly starts, instead giving a black screen, or somehow opening the vanilla game with no changes.
--The story writing is confused, and often predictable.
--Some of the scenes (outdoors, heaven, underworld) look like they're put together haphazardly - floating trees, clipping objects, scattered lighting).
--Scene lighting would often break, either with lights and shadows clipping through solid objects, or all lights cease working.
The Verdict: I would say "you get what you pay for," and thought $3.99 was a fair price...well, at first. Given the number of times the game flat-out broke, and that there has not been a material update in 2 years (I suspect the dev has ceased working on this title), this game should be put on perma-sale at $0.99. Only then could I say you were getting your money's worth.
It is def a 4$ game. I got the exact amount of what I expected.
Finding it really frustrating to play this game. There's no in-game map which makes it hard to determine if/where you need to look for keys. The controls are very clunky and it's difficult to interact with lights and door as they will show up together. The premise of the game has some promise but it needs work.
I played through the game three times and overall wasn't all that impressed. I experienced multiple bugs that either dampened the gameplay or didn't allow me to progress at all. This would have been worth the time spent if it was free, but paying $5 is a little much for a buggy game with a weak narrative and an unenthused bad guy. Hopefully the can fix this game, maybe then I'd give it another shot.
Game was done in less than an hour. Gameplay felt clunky and the challenge simply wasnt there. I expect more when I pay $5 for a game. Got a glitch where I could see one of the dream triggers before I walked into it. I get it, you guys are probably new to the game scene and you've got to build up your textures but this is not the way to make a splash in the world. Shame on you.
It look like a great game but a have a capable pc with a great vga card and when i am truing to record the game with obs it cracks it is the first game that this is happening .And after the new version is even worse whats happening ?

The Entity has an interesting premise but gameplay-wise needs quite a few fixes and fine tuning. If Steam offered a "neutral" rating we'd probably go with that until some solid changes were made.
Longer review
Story-wise, you wake up in a house at 3am, and it turns out to be your late grandmother's that you're now living in, apparently alone. Your grandma has left notes all over the place for you to find which is how you learn about a creature somewhere in the basement.
The Entity gives you two objectives to start: find a bunch of keys and get in the basement. In practice, this means roaming all over a rather large home with a great deal of bedrooms that start to look very similar and comb each space for keys and notes. Most things in the house can't be interacted with.
Time is also a limiting factor -- the creature will kill you if your house runs out of power, and your house is running off a generator. For that reason you need to juggle using house lights and your cell phone's flashlight, except your cell runs out of battery extremely quickly. You CAN recharge your phone at any outlet (in a magical few seconds) but doing so is at the expense of pulling it from house (and thus, generator) power.
It's an interesting idea, but the payoff is minimal. It doesn't create tension so much as just makes it hard to see and we found ourselves stumbling around every room more than once, hoping to find something in the dark so we didn't have to waste power after our cell had died.
There are a few interstitial moments where you have visions outside of the house that (presumably) the creature is showing you. These moments are neat and do well to show a little more about the creature we keep reading about in grandma's notes. We wish there had been more of these moments more frequently as they make for wonderful motivators for us to soldier on with key-locating in the hopes that we can unlock more pieces of the plot.
Gameplay-wise, the game suffers from some wonky movement and unclear moments as to when you can or can't interact with objects. Sometimes if you're standing still, you can't activate a light switch. Sometimes you'll be too close to a note AND an outlet, and the "Use" button will activate both. These moments were frequent and made it difficult to navigate the house.
The game's menus and UI are also fairly basic.
All said and done, when we were shown visions about the creature, the story felt like it was going to get interesting, and we simply wish there had been more of that and less endless room searching. This combined with the wonky controls left us hoping some of these things will be fixed to create a solid experience.
Short but good game. I have a few gripes though, and did find some bugs:
-Sound levels are too low; I need to crank my volume up to 100% to hear anything well
-Price tag might be just a tad too much given the games length
-Personally didn't like the enemy design, looks too much like a recycled design from the Aliens franchise
-Nowhere near dark enough; it should be pitch dark everywhere there is no light source (I did turn the vibrance setting on my card all the way up so that might explain how I was able to see through darkness so well)
-When starting a new game, sometimes the game glitches out and you only see a black screen until you hit the escape key twice
-Graphics quality option keeps resetting itself to ultra; you need to set it first from the launcher, then set it again from the main menu
-Turning on ALL the lights in the house barely sucks up generator power; imo having them all on should suck up the power within minutes
-Your characters idle animation when looking down makes it look you're swinging from a noose or floating in the air; it would be look better imo if the feet and legs were just static
Despite all these, it was very enjoyable to play (and a suggestion to the dev - could you make a halloween mode?).
So The Entity is so far just a game where you have to find keys to open all the rooms in the house, your goal is to get into the basement but when you input the code on the first padlock the game doesn't allow you to move you can flick the lights on and off our your cell phone flashlight on and off so will have to wait till it's been fixed but will give it another go.
