Do you think that you need professional knowledge to create a game? It's not true! In the SRPG Studio, SRPG basic system and various graphic materials are already prepared, so you don't have to do complicated things on your own. You can create your games just by setting up your original characters and scenarios!
Other players can also enjoy playing your games!
It is normal that you want to share your game with other people to play, not just for yourself. There is a function of 'Project Release' in the SRPG Studio. You can always output your created games as files with that function. In addition, you can distribute your games as paid games.

It’s such fun if you can use your original graphics or music in your games. In the SRPG Studio, not only graphics and music, fonts and videos can also be built into your games!

VERY janky on it's own, but people have cracked this wide open and if you know a little bit of javascript you can too!
and as someone who's a programmer and yet HATES making things from the ground up? yeah it's alright
just make sure you get it on sale
Have you ever wanted to create your own Fire Emblem game? That is basically what SRPG Studio is. I suppose that one could breach its ceiling to forge something different. But I would say that SRPGM is too specialized with one sort of mold in the genre it encompasses. It is relatively simple to use and learn, but I fear that one challenge it bears would be creating anything truly unique from it.
Still... I do find it very enjoyable for what it does.
Bought this for JS but i think its only used through events sadly.. Im on the fence with this engine as its a nice thing, its kinda fun to put bits together, but it seems to need a little more choice and style freedom.
Good Points:

- Looks interesting
- The little demo scene seems to function pretty well
- The graphics look nice quality
- You can make map battles which work decently
- Uses JS so in-theory you could customise your game and make something truly original & mind-blowing
- Looks like the Dev has put some time into trying to cater for various events and needed functionality of the user/s and this does show with the amount of options given
- I think you can use bigger art, the given art is nice but its very very tiny
Bad Points:

- Not very intuitive at first glances, things are not very clear as to what they do or how to implement them but with clicking a lot i found most of there use
- Niche style of engine (whilst this can be good, this feels a little over restrictive & basic sadly.. which limits unique ideas)
- The battles seem like there fighting from miles & miles away (maybe this can be changed.. i have no idea though)

In all honesty i would give this engine a solid 6/10 as it is an amazing piece of software capable of making old-style tactical rpg games & i like that.... but its also a little restrictive and daunting at first glance.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS:

Yes.. if you want to make a tactical old-school RPG but try the DEMO first then make-up your own mind.
No.. if like me you wanted the JS to be more like an IDE that's integrated and useful throughout the whole engine.

Decent software would just like to see more dlc besides backgrounds. would buy tilesets, motions, char chips etc if there were more available.
Definitely a must have software.
I have yet to figure anything out save for making pretty maps, but I'm excited at the potential. It's old enough that there are several youtube tutorials to clarify the functions and possibilities. The game includes a sample project that will be helpful to reverse engineer.
