RPG MAKER lets you create an original role-playing game without any prior specialized knowledge or training. RPG MAKER XP is full of the functions you've been asking for, including game data encryption and a scripting feature that lets you change the very heart of the RPG MAKER engine.By improving the operating environment, the program can now provide support for a full-colour display and greatly enhanced graphic capabilities. With support for PNG full-color mode and alpha channel, you can adjust the settings for graphic translucency as well as specify the transparent color. RPG Maker XP includes three map layers, allowing you to create complex and layered maps. The program includes a base set of graphics and sounds that you can use and modify at no extra charge. You can also import your own graphics and sounds, making your game truly stand out.
RPG MAKER XP is equipped with the Ruby Game Scripting System (RGSS1), based on the Ruby language and customized especially for this program. I owned this game years ago before it came to steam, and after 1000's of hours dumped into this wonderful tool, its is now a must have. It has stayed in my favorites for many years, and the more I use it the more I learn. I've created countess games and stories, and even learned to make my own pixel art. Using RPG Maker XP has been fun for my entire family, and my son now makes his own games.
Its is very easy to use for beginners, and lots of fun to play with all the different options you can use. Out of all the other RPG Maker games this one is by far my favorite!
Very user friendly and I just started using it. I do recommend using assets already made so one can just jump into learning the game design software.
This is probably the best software for making your dream RPG game. It is quick and easy to learn and use. I have been using it for nearly 300 hours now making my game and it has not given me any trouble in any way! This piece of software is worth the money!
