100 Chests is a first person exploration game that tasks you with finding 100 chests, as the name implies. There are two levels to explore: A series of islands, and a forest at night. Graphically, the low poly is okay, and consistent, but the animations and placement of assets leave much to be desired, such as floating objects, and inconsistent collision detection - some trees can be walked through, some cannot.
There is music present, but it is abysmally quiet, and there are no options to adjust the sound or graphical levels.
Movement is incredibly slow, even when holding shift to sprint, the inventory UI is unexplained and the cursor remains on screen after closing it. Some items (coins) don't appear in the inventory after collecting them. Collected items also are lost if you exit the game and then return to it later.
Most egregiously, there is NO HINT SYSTEM, so if you're at 99/100, you have to explore a massive island painstakingly slowly to try and find what you've missed.
In a nutshell, this simply isn't a fun experience. Also, despite what the store description says, every chest is empty. There are no rewards, except for your personal torment.
Avoid.
