New York City has been hit with a series of murders and the body count is piling up. For FBI Agent Nicole Bonnet, finding a lead is becoming impossible, as it seems the victims are all antiquarians and collectors and have no connection with one another. However, when a retired subway worker is killed, the investigation takes an interesting turn. It seems these murders are somehow linked to what is now known as the Crime of the Century – a bank robbery where the loot was never recovered. The time is short, become Nicole Bonnet, a young female FBI agent and make the connection before another person falls victim.

finished in just over 2 hours (time includes leaving it running). HOP after HOP. Many scenes reused from the first 3 ( much better ) games. No story to speak of, best avoided. Lazy cash grab.
This takes a little tweaking to work because the Intel graphics card doesn't seem to like these games. So basically you have to tell it to use your dedicated video card to be able to play. Is it worth it? Well, it's mainly a hidden object game more than an adventure game. Sure, you're Nicole Bonnet FBI agent again, trying to solve a string of murders. If you played the previous Art of Murder games, don't expect anything like those. Instead of a proper detective game complete with actual voice acting and cut scenes, all we have is a few lines of written dialogue and a whole bunch of hidden object puzzles. Some are timed just to make it even more annoying. I like suspense in my adventure games but not the kind in which I keep having to redo the same thing over and over because the developers decided to wash out the colors and ask you to find obscure things like a "bar." Care to give us a little more detail here?
The biggest problem with this game is that the hidden object puzzle scenes are difficult for all the wrong reasons. You will have a huge room you have to find objects in, which wouldn't be so bad but the developers just piled objects on top of each other, I guess it's to make it more challenging. It's not more challenging so much as it just looks like a big sloppy mess. Half the time you can't tell what things are in the picture because the "camera" is too far away so you can't see anything. It felt like the developers just found a random picture and added things to it to make the HO puzzles. In one puzzle, you have to find a candle. There are about 12 candles in the picture, but none of them THE candle. Instead, there is one particular candle they want you to click on. Same thing happens in another puzzle with pens. This seems like lazy design. A pen is a pen is a pen. Right?
Some of the HO puzzles are the standard kind where you can actually see what is on the screen. Those are alright, but there are several of the sloppy mess variety that kill the fun. Not one of the better HO games out there. The first part of the game actually has some story and you collect a few items, but midway through it's just going from one HO puzzle to the next. It's boring and impossible to find anything. We are supposed to guess what's under three layers of items?
As I played this game, I became more angry that I had waited so long to find a solution to get this to work on my computer only to be let completely down. By the end of the game, the developers had completely forgotten the story altogether and just have you clicking from HO room to HO room. Lazy ass developers putting forth minimal effort. Piss poor game.
I have the same issue with this game that I've had with Secret Files. The HOG games are unplayable. You click on the object, you use the hint, click until it freezes, and the game still does not recognise that you've found the object. I enjoy HOG games, but this is sadly, not one I would ever recommend.
Doesn't work. Don't waste your time.
+ The music was good.
+ The story was very interesting, it kept mystery until the end, I liked how the story ended.
+ You can collect hidden clocks which gives you extra hints.
- The hidden object minigames makes you collect lots of stuff you don't need. It extends the playtime I guess, but it does not connect to story or anything at all.
- There are very few puzzles.
- Whole story and conversations are in text exept for the cutscenes, I wish that conversations had voice acting.
7/10
Not playable...
This is the 5th and last Art of Murder game, and like No.3, it's just a quick and lazy hidden objects puzzle game using the room scenes from games 1, 2 and 4. Finished this in no time. Sadly there are no more. :(
Art of Murder - Cards of Destiny was the best in the series. :-)
2-3 items in each hidden object puzzle are blobs, some are nonsensical anyway, there are no other types of puzzles, the story line could've been okay but the ending is abrupt and somehow anti-climactic despite a lack of suspence. Buy in a bundle maybe, if it costs 50c or so.
The best part of this game is the picture in the banner. . It's one thing to make a game more difficult by only showing a peek of an item or hiding it in a bigger item, but the low graphics in this game are akin to starting a game of hide and seek and then driving away from the house forever.
Just bad resolution HOGs.
Waste of time

Don't even bother buying this game. The first 3 were ok. The HOG's are unplayable.
OK hidden object game for a two hour time expense.
The earlier Art of Murder games prior to adding HOG were much better: better story and longer time investment.
Here the object hunting seems to be more important than the story
TL;DR:
A short HOG with cut scenes, etc.
Detail:
A little different than previous "Art of Murder" titles which includes point and click adventure and puzzle elements - hence the negative reviews.
Lacks Steam achievements.
Worth picking up in sale if looking for a HOG.
not at all like the original 3 games. extremely short no real puzzles, hidden object only with a few cut scenes. This is a poor game and not worth the time.
Unplayable on Win 10
There is something going on with the interlacing as the top of the screen constantly vibrates.
The HOG screen does not work: even I can see the object, even the hint shows its location, when I click on it, nothing happens.
And I guess a 0.99 dollar game would not be fixed and patched by any developer.
HOG only, but flat colors and the scene eventually resets if you take too long. Does have tons of hints via pickups. But meh. Pass.
Stick to the first three titles (FBI Confidential, Hunt for the Puppeteer and Cards of Destiny)... and forget about this one.
Just a pile of hidden object scenes, one after another.
