Best game ever made
Uhh idk what to say I beat the game in 12 minutes. I played twice lost the first game. I only finished 1 errand and i talked to a girl and one the game.
Not sure why this isn't game of the year, I am blown away by the realism and creativity of this masterpiece. BlackSimulator is and may be the best 2D game published in 2018 through 2023, the characters, interactions, choices etc. Throughout my gameplay getting caught by the "pigs/5.0/bois in blue" has never been so fun.
black simulator has changed my life. To start, i'm a 59 year old dad and my life has been turned to shit. Well, that was before black simulator. When i was in my early 40's, I was having crisis after crisis. First, I got fired from my job for misdemeanor. Then, my pet pigeon ended up getting out of its cage and injuring a poor baby in a stroller by disrespectfully poking out its left eye. Then, the worst of all, a gas leak caused my entire block to have to be evacuated. When they all found out the leak was my faulty, I was harassed for months. I was robbed, beaten, insulted, mugged, occasionally tickled in my pubic bone, and clowned. Then with my last remaining 3 dollars, I purchased black simulator. At first, i was expecting a stupid, uninteresting game that would have only short comedic value. Little did I know I opened the door to the goldmine of my life. I loaded up the game, and got to experience life as a black man. As I played more and more, I was interacting more with the people around the map. i died over and over, but then I learned how to help out others by doing tasks and knowing how to deescalate potential fights with strangers. Then, my life turned around as I was able to get along with everyone (even the african americans) in my community. i truly got to experience the black life. I was able to get hired at KFC and even made some friends and formed a "group" with them. I became blacker and happier by the day. I even learned how to get what I wanted, as my gan-I mean group would politely interact with other groups to make deals. I am 59 years old now with 3 adopted children and I have never been more proud.

It's like a jungle sometimes.
I enjoyed the game for the realness and how it sheds light on the lives of Black people. Keep it up, Justin!
This game is great. I really do recommend it just for a satire and if you need another perspective.
This game seems simple, but what's interesting about it is that these things really do happen in real life. I enjoyed the little jokes and stuff that appear in the game.
Black Simulator is a funny, quirky, satirical game where you step into the shoes of a black man in some place of America. Gameplay involves picking up some items from your home and elsewhere and traveling around running errands while avoiding unwanted attention. A walking simulator of sorts with narrative design involved.
Take some bread to your grandma, a book to your pastor, pick up a few bruhs from the block, pick up some pretty fly sneakers from the local Boot Storage (should have called it Boot Locker!). Beware the POPO and balance out being an IGNANT or a T.O.M. Otherwise you'll become the evening news. There's a chance to maybe swirl it up, but watch out for the Black Pool!
This is a short game and one of those with some depth once you dive in and give it some thought. There's plenty of room to improve and expand the world, with mini-games for instance. And more gameplay opportunities, like, what if you could actually drive the car around for instance, picking up items and avoid attracting the police the fuller your car gets? Or explore other areas in the Mall? The game is made in RPG Maker as you will be able to tell once you launch it, but adding custom made art is a very nice touch and gives this game personality, of which it has plenty already.
I recommend this game if anything for the novelty and idea behind it.
I really dig the social commentary and the humor that is embedded in this game. Coupled with an old school RPG feel, I enjoyed manuevering my character through the streets of the city, interacting with other characters and doing missions. Great soundtrack as well!
As a North Idaho white guy, this game was truly life changing. Seriously. BlackSimulator gave me a small taste of the struggle that all my previous efforts failed at. I was so moved by the experience, that I purchased a site license version for all my students in my computer class. Needless to say, most of them had their eyes opened in ways that only this game could accomplish. I eagerly look forward to Justin Fox's next game release!
Also, most of my game time (3+ hours) was with the non-steam version, so don't be fooled by my low play time.
Interesting, fun, and funny (in the best, worst way)! I presume designed to make us think and talk 'bout it. Looking forward to seeing more from this developer.

It is an amusing mini game with a suttle easter egg here and there, with great background music, and great animation!
