Easy achievements. If you like hard-to-find objects, then this game is for you! The story is lame, the pictures are very good - very good at hiding things. I used hint a lot.

If you're one who likes to find things hidden in other pictures, this is the game for you.
I thought this might be ok due to positive reviews and the theme of Sherlock Holmes, which implies solving cases by being smart. This game barely has a case/story, doesn't require using your brain, very repetitive, very dull...
The game itself wasn't very good. HOG's became pixel hunts and that's never fun. Most of the other puzzles weren't extremely hard, but the "spot the difference" ones were somewhat painful because the differences could be extremely small and hard to notice. Plus, some things were hidden by the score for each puzzle in the upper corner. Remember that you may need to move the picture around literally to see other areas that are hidden from view.
But, even then, the biggest issue with this game was how badly the dialogue was written. I get that they probably weren't native English speakers, but they seriously needed to hire someone who could help with the grammar. It was painful to read that.
If you can get the game for really cheap and you like extremely difficult pixel hunts in HOG's, go for it. This is especially true if you're not concerned at all with the writing being horrendous.
Otherwise, I would not recommend it.
I love games of this type, sit in the evening and relax while finding different objects. The graphics are normal. so I advise you to buy =)
Another game from Crisp App Studio and it's once again top-game! Levels are really interesting and exciting: different countries, good graphics and locations worked out to the last detail - all this gives pleasure from the game! As a result I can say: If you like hidden objects genre (or if you just want to try to play in this genre), you SHOULD buy it!

I love hidden object games; I love Sherlock Holmes games. This game was not enjoyable very long, it got very boring very early on, and I didn't have a desire to finish it.
First off, it goes straight into the game: no preamble, no cutscene, no opening dialog. Just a bubble of text or three from the 2 main characters (Holmes & Watson) and you're instantly in the puzzle section. Now, this doesn't sound like too bad of a thing, but most of these games at least have a few lines of dialog and a custcene to get things started.
And the puzzles: there are 3 basic types, with 2 being very similar. Standard fare for the Hidden Object type games, but there's absolutely no variation here, and I soon lost interest. I have played lots of HOGs that were engaging from start to finish, with several cutscenes to drive the narrative. Not so with this one; just match up the objects, or find them all, and you get a couple of bubble texts over the character(s), then off to the next puzzle. Just very uninspired.
And before anyone says, "Well this must just not be the type of game for you..". I have played TONS of HOGs and none of them were even close to this level of boringness. I think the backing "soundtrack" instrumental theme had a grand total of 7 notes in it, because I listened to them for a few hours before finally running my own mp3 player in the background.
Sadly, not even worth a $1, and I don't say that lightly. I can't recommend this game, no matter how much I wanted to like it. I hate giving negative reviews, but this one sadly deserves it, and I hope this company does better on the next outing.
A fun hidden object game with a cool Sherlock Holmes type theme. Some reviewers might think that the game is repetitive but that is exactly the point of hidden object games ! You look at pictures and find objects. In addition to the "hidden objects" puzzles the game also has "spot the difference" puzzles mixed in. You can play through the game rather quickly if you have played these type of games before. For the extremely low price it is well worth it. The game is another to add to your Steam collection if you "fancy" hidden object games. I'll be picking up more similar titles from this dev.
It won't take you more than 30 minutes to get tired of it. It will ask you at times to place something on the screen, like a flashlight near a bench... but lo' and behold: you need to be quite damn exact at where you place it. It won't tolerate you shining the flashlight under a bench (even though it says near the bench, because you are looking for shoeprints)... no, you need to put it under the damn bench. And not just anywhere under the bench! It is like a quarter of the area under the bench that is ok. A good game to show how to not make a game.
This only barely gets a thumbs up from me as it only barely qualifies as a game. I think that the developers just had a bunch of clip art pics on a 1998-era hard drive and tried to make a game out of it, only they didn't have the Sherlock Holmes licence so they called it "Detective Holmes" for the store listing, even though it also registers as "Holmes 2" and properly Sherlock Holmes within the game. Something dodgy is going on there.
It features the usual hidden object scenes, but with very low-res pictures. You can zoom in for a closer look, but no extra detail is added. A few match-up, rotation, and spot-the-difference puzzles are also added in between, with the latter being boring with pedantic, almost irrelevant details making the differences.
If I didn't get 100% on the achievements then this would get a resounding thumbs down!
The graphics leave much to be desired, but for such a game it is quite normal. You are passing this game in one breath, but it is a pity that there are too few levels. If the game was worth more, then I would not take it.
I like the HO part it is well done relexing little game.
Ill give this a thumbs up because the game isn't bad. The developer seems to do a lot of these which is ok but after the 2nd one I would expect that you would have learned more or at least made an effort to try and expand your releases in some way. They do a good game don't get me wrong but they peaked at one. Doesn't get much better which is dissapointing.
I will say that gameplay wise there is a delay sometimes in selecting items or accuracy (hit box) and with a time element game that's not a fantastic issue to have.

very short game. no replay value. quite a few spelling errors. the find the difference levels look like they were taken in to microsoft paint and had shapes and drawn and filled with different colors.
Classic high-quality hidden object game. Rich HOPA content. Nice heroes. Perfect game balance, easy achievements.
It's ok, for the price.
Pros:
It's got Hidden object scenes, spot the difference scenes and a few match pairs of things scenes, about 31 of them.
Cons:
No voice acting which is shame because it'd be amusing to hear someone try and act out the gibberish lines.
The text is badly translated to the point of mostly being gibberish.
The story is almost non-existant, this game is not 'story-rich', even if it was perfectly translated, I get the feeling it still wouldn't make much sense.
The Game is 100% linear, there is no map, you simply go from scene A to B to C to D etc, but you can revisit previous scenes to improve you score and star rating of one to three stars. The game is easy to get 100% achievements IMO and hints can be used on most scenes without losing achievements.
There are high score tables with score being based upon speed, you can replay scenes to improve speed, score penalty for too many mis-clicks.
Buy it quick if you want any chance of getting on to the high score tables.
A smartphone game on a pc. Don't think so.
Need to scroll picture horizontal despite huge black borders.
