Security Breach will always be my favorite FNAF game. While it was buggy in the beginning it was truly ground breaking. Security breach offers hours of playability and there are TONS of secrets and collectibles to find. It was a major turning point for the FNAF franchise and paved the way for many more amazing games.

So you think Chuck E. Cheese was scary? Nah, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is what happens when the animatronic band decides to take their "night shift" a little too seriously. Welcome to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza—where the pizza might be expired, but the robots are definitely alive and ready to ruin your life.

You play as Gregory, a kid who, for some inexplicable reason, decided to have the worst sleepover ever at a pizza place where the animatronics are just... a little too invested in their “entertainment.” Freddy Fazbear’s is supposed to be a fun, family-friendly spot to throw pizza parties and maybe get a few too many tokens for the arcade. But guess what? Instead of winning a stuffed bear, you get to run for your life from a real bear, and the only thing you’ll be winning is permanent trauma.

The Animatronics: Remember how at Chuck E. Cheese, you'd try to get the animatronic band to sing along to “Happy Birthday” and it always looked like they were one malfunction away from eating your soul? Well, Security Breach takes that vibe and cranks it up to horrifying. These animatronics don’t just sing, they chase you down like you’ve just tried to steal their last slice of pizza. Freddy? He’s no longer your friendly neighborhood bear; he’s a terrifying, malfunctioning death machine with a heart of, well, sadness. Monty is a gator who’s clearly got some unresolved issues, and Chica... well, let’s just say she needs to lay off the pizza.

Vanny, though? Vanny is the worst. She's like the Chuck E. Cheese mascot if it suddenly decided to go rogue and start offering free hugs in the form of death. I don’t know if she’s a robot or someone who got way too into cosplay, but she’s definitely the reason I’m now considering therapy.

The Gameplay: This game is essentially a horror-filled version of hide and seek, except the seekers are murder-bots, and you have the energy of a kid who’s eaten too much pizza. You’ll sneak, you’ll hide, and you’ll get caught in the most uncomfortable of ways. The security system is like Chuck E. Cheese on a Monday morning—riddled with issues and completely out of control. You’ll be running around trying to solve puzzles, but mostly, you’re running for your life from Freddy and his friends, who don’t care that you just wanted a slice of pizza.

And the flashlight... oh the flashlight. You’ll feel like you’re in a horror movie, except instead of a glimmering hope, the flashlight just flickers out the moment you need it most. Aha! You think you’re safe, but nope, here comes Monty, ready to show you why “rock and roll” isn't nearly as fun when you’re the one getting crushed by a giant alligator robot.

The Atmosphere: If Chuck E. Cheese had a baby with a haunted house attraction, Security Breach would be it. The atmosphere is creepy enough to make you reconsider every birthday party you ever had there. It's like someone took all the fun from the “let’s see the animatronics sing” part of Chuck E. Cheese and swapped it with "let’s watch these freaky robots try to murder you." The mall is empty, the lights flicker, and you’ll swear you heard one of the animatronics whisper your name. Not in a cute way. In the “we’re going to eat you alive” way.

The Story: The plot is your typical FNaF mystery—why are these robots so messed up? Why is everything trying to kill you? And why, for the love of pizza, did you decide to stay overnight in a place that’s definitely not OSHA-approved? It’s like every conspiracy theory you’ve heard about Chuck E. Cheese’s pizza place, except way more sinister and a whole lot more “don’t turn around.”

Final Thoughts: Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is like Chuck E. Cheese’s, but instead of “I’m here for the fun,” it’s more like “I’m here to escape with my life.” The animatronics are out of control, the atmosphere is delightfully terrifying, and every second you’re not running for your life feels like you’re one step closer to becoming part of the pizza buffet.

So, if you’ve ever wanted to experience what it’s like to really regret choosing a birthday party venue, this game is your ticket. It’s a nightmare, it’s funny, and it’s full of robots that should definitely stay in their corners, playing the keyboard. Just... make sure you’ve already planned your escape route. Trust me, you’ll need it.

This game is 4 years old and still sucks dick, buggy mess, and NO FUCKING AUTOSAVE. Do not waste your money on this putrid stinker of a game and just watch a playthrough or something

Real garbage game, in my course of the game I had so much and bugs that I could hardly play through the game. In addition, there were 1.2 places where I just didn't get any further, so the puzzles just kept poorly and didn't make any real sense.

I have no idea if anyone is going to buy this game in 2025, but if you are, please don't. When I initially played it was so badly broken that I could hardly make it past the daycare section and even after I did, I didn't want 10 more hours of that same gameplay. Even if you argue many of the glitches have been fixed, I think the gameplay is still just stiff and boring. Areas are too big to feel confined and intimidating while being too large for you to properly see enemies approaching. Which has the potential to be scary, but it just ends up being annoying since you run into a security bot's way too big hit box and the animatronic just spawns in behind you.

Haven't played Ruin DLC but that's not what I'm reviewing.

This Game is AMAZING. The graphics go beyond as I expected. Freddy is adorable. I like there are different ending so you could see in other perspective what would've happened if you had changed something. Something could've been better is that when you play it, you don't have the feeling of horror that this saga is supposed to mean. Nevertheless, I still think this is one of the best FNAF games.

Really fun! and has a good ending to multiple storylines.

Got all achievements so I could finally free some disk space. Overall, awesome game but my "all achievements" run was so buggy it was frustrating... It was worth it.

I would say this game is great if it wasn't impossible to beat......

I love the idea of FNAF being a huge company that has to deal with HR Problems and customer complaints.
I am also in love with the idea of it being a big, open world arcade, where you can go and adventure and explore different areas.

However! this game has had years to fix its Problems and yet there are so many that I still can't finish the game fully without getting killed so unfairly by bugs and clipping...
(when clipping happens i have to sit there and die)...

For that im sad to say that i have to give this a thumbs down...tho without bugs would have been my fav FNAF game ever....

From all the FNAF games i have play this is one of the best i have played more to do compared to the other fnaf games even though it has a couple of bug like after shattering glamrock chica she becomes just a brainless ai that doesn't do nothing not that i'm fully complaining of course but other than that i get a decent spook and enjoy playing this game

Genuinely one of the greatest games I've ever been lucky enough to play. From the subtle homages to the rock legends of the 80s (Van Halen and things of the sort). It's a magical gaming experience that never runs dry after several, several runs. These 112 hours don't include any of the time I've spent playing this on other platforms. Please trust me, this game is more worth your time than most others out there.

It good but buggy

Giving the characters voice lines back in Sister Location was imo one of the worst design decisions ever taken throughout FNAF. In Security Breach, this misguided approach is taken to its extreme. The „animatronics“ are essentially just people at this point, speaking like humans, having very human personalities and lacking designs that are believable or scary in any way, They look and feel like walking Funko Pops or other plastic trash merchandise in a game that’s supposed to be scary, talking like preschoolers trying to be intimidating.

I'm really not sure what they were going for, it's not really a horror game like every other FNaF game so what does that even strip this down too? Not really sure what they were going for with the characters, the tiny music make is kinda creepy I guess, pretty much the main four look kinda dumb in my opinion. I'm also not sure why they made Freddy a good guy, I can see what they were going for "cute wholesome father figure" it just makes the game even less scary. Overall I don't recommend this game overall, I have no idea why it's 40 dollars, that's a lot for some walking simulator were everything starts with "faz"

The ruin DLC is decent in my opinion, I like it personally but I don't think it's worth buying security breach.

The story is fun to play but the game is janky. The frames swing wildly from 300 to 5 and back no matter what settings you use and you can mess up puzzles to the point of not knowing what you've changed so you can never know how to solve it. The grind will be real as you figure out somehow complex things like getting into vents. Which should just require you to crouch and walk into them but seems to be random as to if it will let you in before the enemy catches you. Seems like the game was thrown together and then forgotten. Like it's for kids to just see pretty colors.

They were experimenting and I think it's got off on the wrong foot but for anyone who reads this, the game is good just there isn't alot of replayability

I am amazed that there are bugs in this game that have still not been fixed almost four years after its release. Please just make the call freddy button work please oh my god I can't keep waiting around to listen to this dumb fucking bear's distant stomping hoping to god he will show up and enter the god damn elevator. I cannot do it much longer.
Obviously all of this has been said before but I also had to look up online guides a dozen times because where is anything in this gigantic map and how am I supposed to remember the locations and why does nothing make sense and where is the goddamn kitchen.

I gave Freddy that stupid eye upgrade god knows how many times because the completion of that upgrade instantly triggers all save stations to stop working until you get to the exit, but that stupid ugly fucking moon thing is chasing you while you desperately try to remember how to get back to the ground floor because the map is fucking gigantic and what do you MEAN you get to the kitchen through an inconspicuous doorway in the corner of the massive atrium and down an elevator and through multiple more doors. Who signed off on such stupid level design?

Now look, I won't lie and say this game wasn't enjoyable because overall it's... charming. Sure I'm ripping into it a bit but it's obvious a lot of love went into the development, which is made more obvious by the amount of names in the ending credits. But my god I expected at least some of these flaws to be fixed all these years later. Fifty dollars for a game that still does not work despite it all. I am amazed and also a little enraged, but not surprised in the least. We've all known how flawed it is since its release, I'm just shocked nothing has been done. It is not a good sign when you google an issue you're having with a game and Reddit threads full of players with the same problem from three years ago pop up. What happened here??? So much of the game just oozes unused areas, scrapped storylines and forgotten rooms. You really feel it the entire time you're playing, like there was going to be more here, something of more value than what we got.

Very fun game. Sure, there are bugs and glitches, but they make the game kind of funny. One glitch even saved me- I was in the Daycare and Moon was right on me, only to pop out of existence.

five nights at freddy's was based off of the unease people got looking at chuck-e-cheese robots, turning that childhood memory into a twisted nightmare. now, the guy who murdered children in the 70's comes back to live as an undead burnt robot bunny corpse in the year 2040 or something like that. this game isn't scary at all. i heard one person say that the only fear you experience in this game is the fear of losing progress and doing something over again, and i believe that is absolutely true. the game does look nice, however, the use of color and lighting make the world look very nice and appealing. fear factor, however, not there at all. the robots don't even look scary.

This game had so much potential just to have such a horrible story. I hate the fact that I bought this game at full price and honesty have regretted it ever since. This game makes me want to dedicate my whole body, mind, and soul into creating over engineered large animal robots just to make forever sleep the children I have made them for then put their bodies into a blender just to sprinkle them on the robots like you would perfume.

If you want a game that can waste your time with terrible game design and a confusing lore, this game's for you. The gameplay although is serviceable, it still doesn't excuse how much of a dumpster fire this game is. The jumpscares are incredibly weak and the fear factor in this game is non-existent with it's very neon-colorful aesthetics. The only time that this game was actually scary were the endoskeletons and the Moondrop stage early in the game, but when you look past it, there's nothing to be scared of. The story is terrible. It's all over the place and you'll easily get lost by it's confusing direction.

If you want to play the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise and want to follow the lore, I suggest you to stop right when you beat FNAF: Pizzeria Simulator. Just... don't bother with this game. It's not worth your time.

I generally love security breach, it is a free roam game in the fnaf series and the first official one! My game play was very smooth and very fun the DLC is also free and amazing! I just wish we had more specific objectives and the game was easier so the non hardcore gamer's can also enjoy the game.

This fuckass game and it's dumbass staff bots with their good and bad sight cones pissing me off 24/7 the game mechanics work together just to make me feel like allah has rained fire on my house please do not do this shit for SOTM

It has been a few years since the game has released and it is still unplayable. I have yet to be able to finish the game due to the game freezing, glitching, or even ruining my progress in a save. I still think the story had good potential but playing this game is ultra frustrating. I would not recommend.

This game is easily one of the most hyped and disappointing games I have ever played.

This game by far is one of the best Five night's at Freddy's installments of the Franchise as of having a diverse story and massive area's to explore throughout. This games environmental detail too is next level with little Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the mega pizza-plex. In addition the game-play lasts about up to 5 hours through first play-through and being able to load back into a certain area of game-play you were last at with the save stations and loading menu. This isn't even all that this game has though because the FREE ruin dlc taking place after the ruins of the pizza-plex. Overall I honestly recommend this game to mascot horror freaks

This game is a waste of space, waste of time, and waste of money. Steel wool took years just to make the most watered down excuse of a FNaF game. It's an insult to the franchise and to the fans. So many expected better and steel wool deserved every atom of flack they got for this. It's buggy, completely inconsiderate of previous established lore, and has an outrageous file size. When you step into an arena that has been built from the ground up by someone who appreciates their fans and cares for the art they've built, make something worth my time. Do better.

I rarely write reviews but this game is fucking shit. Game barely runs at all and barely works when playing. I really tried to enjoy it but the experience of trying to finish this game fully is so unenjoyable. A lot of the "challenge" of the game is really the false difficulty that comes with the game being so fucking buggy. Got to the final boss after REALLY trying to complete this game and just deleted it after how buggy and finicky the fight ended up being. Feels like the story is never expanded upon really and in the end you waste your time wishing you hadn't. Don't buy this TRASH!

Sadly a massive pile of garbage. While I did get enjoyment out of it the lack of transparency and the fact that they have left it a buggy mess is quite frankly disrespectful to the fanbase. Do better

It's very good, and I recommend it, but it is very buggy.

I do really love this game in spite of how bad it is, but that doesn't really change the fact that this game is really, really bad.

I was in Bonnie Bowl late game and I somehow died to the floor of the elevator. I could never get the Afton fight to work as intended, the only way I beat it is by blocking Roxy with Freddy as a door. The Freddy upgrade sections are hilariously broken, if you click too early you die, if you click SLIGHTLY off the hitbox you die. it's not fun, its tedious.

The save system sucks. I really wish there were more autosaves, and the only save past 6 am is so frustrating, not fun or challenging, just annoying. especially if you leave Monty's boss fight for after 6 am, if you don't know what you're doing, you can die so easily and getting back to the previous point you were from that post 6 am save is the worst possible thing.

The puzzles that are in the game are hilariously bad. Mazercise makes me want to die, it doesn't make a single lick of sense. The Daycare Theater secret room is pretty fun, though! Princess Quest was boring. Monty's boss fight is a bit challenging and decently entertaining. Roxy and Chica's "puzzles" are so, so bad and boring. Roxy, you climb through the room, do some minor stealthing and then you're done. Chica, you run around a trash heap and turn a few generators on and then you're done. Superstar Arcade was pretty good, the music was great and puzzle was serviceable.

This game is non linear, and that is completely to its detriment. They give you the choice of Fazerblast or Monty Golf. Monty Golf is objectively easier, with little to no challenge, as you can move around freely inside Freddy. Once you reach the office, Freddy assures you that they "know you're here." Monty never showed up. Fazerblast, however, involves you needing to beat a mini game of Capture the Flag, whilst Chica is actively pursuing you in a very small enclosed laser tag arena. Once you reach the office in Fazerblast, Freddy repeats the same line as Monty Golf except several S.T.A.F.F bots appear in the very small Fazerblast lobby. I don't mention the choice of El Chips or the Kitchen because the only difference is a short "defend the office" section or making pizza. El Chips and Monty Golf lack the content and difficulty that the other two offer.

I got my hands on a copy of the release version, and the fact the game was SOLD in that state is disgusting. I had to glitch onto Roxy Raceway in order to beat her, because Superstar Arcade was bugged and wouldn't let me repair the driver head. They fixed the deloading the map when you jump as you hide in Freddy that was present in the release version, by not allowing you to enter Freddy whilst you're jumping. You couldn't skip cutscenes in the release version, either.

This game may be "patched", but it's still extremely buggy for lots of people. You can miss a gift in Daycare and have to restart, because there's no way you can obtain it without replaying Daycare as once you're banned you can't return. Keep in mind, you need this gift for an achievement.

It's a shame because there's so much love into the design of this game, and it's seen especially in the amazing map. But the way you're forced to navigate it is unnatural. It wasn't designed to be a stealth game, so their way of forcing it to be is placing S.T.A.F.F bots everywhere who jumpscare you repeatedly and spawn enemies on top of you because their AI is too stupid to discover you on it's own.

To anyone who bought the game wanting a normal, buggy free decent game experience based on the very positive reviews, I am so sorry. Do not buy this game.

too oriented towards small children. i get that it's good to have another generation interested in something, but i feel like this was just ruined for everyone else. also, from what i heard it was really buggy on launch, but i didn't have the game then so i can't speak on that myself. i only got scared even a little bit when playing with rtx on ps5, and even though i have an RTX 3050, it won't let me access the ray tracing option on pc
